The relevance of the issue is defined by a necessity for the research of peculiarities in today’s sports. This involves development of international sports law and the system of international arbitration for sport. According to majority of Russian and international experts, there are no appropriate trial proceedings at the ordinary juridical remedies, where parties are the representatives of sports industry.
Considering the nature of trial proceeding directly or indirectly linked to sports, the sports arbitration courts have been established and function successfully (англ. Courtof Arbitration for Sport, CAS, фр. Tribunal Arbitral du Sport, TAS), sport committees (courts) for sport in Belgium, Spain, Italy, Luxemburg, France and countries of the world.
