ABSTRACT : Nano systems show a wide variety of change in their properties, magnetic properties are no exception. In this paper we look at how magnetic properties of graphene change on functionalization with hydrogen. This material has emerged as an amazing material for microelectronic devices. Calculations based on the method of numeric localized atomic orbitals, pseudopotentials and DFT are presented using SIESTA code for the systematic study of Magnetic Moment of nano structured functionalized graphene. It has been observed that as the percentage of hydrogen increases, a variation in the magnetic moment takes place pointing to a transition of  of nano structured functionalized graphene from diamagnetic to paramagnetic/ferromagnetic phase with varying percentage of hydrogen.

ABSTRACT : Dihydropyrimidines (DHPMs) are of much importance due to excellent pharmacological properties. In this account we have synthesized new functionalized DHPMs (a) 5-benzoyl-6-methyl-4-phenyl-3,4- dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one (KT-01) and (b) 5-benzoyl-4-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-methyl-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one (KT-03) in two step reaction. The first step involves the synthesis of benzoylacetone and the second step involves the one pot, three component cyclo condensation reaction of benzoylacetone, benzaldehyde (substituted) and urea using catalytic amount of concentrated HCl in ethanol provided access to targeted dihydropyrimidine. Structures of these compounds have been confirmed by IR, 1H-NMR and Mass spectroscopy.

ABSTRACT : CoFe2-xGdx O4; x = 0, 0.1, 0.15, and 0.2 were prepared using coprecipitation method. All the samples were sintered at 500ÚC. The structure has been studied using XRD, TEM and EDAX. Effect of Gd doping on crystal structure has also been studied and discussed. The particle size has been estimated using Scherrer equation. All the peaks in XRD patterns are narrow which means that particles are in nano range. The structure inferred from the XRD is cubic. Gd3+ being larger in size prefers octahedral site.

ABSTRACT : The micronutrients were increases in the Hathaikheda reservoir last few years due to over uses of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in agriculture in surrounded catchment area of the reservoir. The availability of micronutrients especially Zn, Cu, Mo and Mn in a water body is largely governed by the characteristics of its catchment apart from the soil characteristics of the catchment area, the availability of nutrients also depend on the agricultural practices. The reservoir receives a large volume of water during monsoon months through number of inlet channels which ultimately increases the micronutrients availability in the reservoir. The present study was therefore conducted to assess the impact of the micronutrients on water quality of the reservoir. The study shows that the area joining to near Anand Nagar have higher concentration of micronutrients than the reference sample station.

ABSTRACT : In this note, the Einstein line element for a static universe have been examined through its characteristic vectors and discussed its geometrical and physical behavior. It is noticed that the whole universe is controlled by a single mathematical quantity 4. The Einstein line element admit the false vacuum model but does not admit the stiff fluid model (Zel’dovich, 1962) and radiating model, in case of vectors (1, 2), (1, 3), (2, 3). It admits all three types of models for the vectors (1, 4), (2, 4), (3, 4). Also it is conformally flat for all vectors.

Dirac matrices are described as quaternion valued and the Dirac Hamiltonian is considered as Hermitian with real eigenvalues of energy. Dirac spinors and free particle energy solution has been obtained in terms of one component, two-component and four-component Dirac spinors.

Dispertion equation has been derived.

ABSTRACT : In this paper, by introducing the fractional derivative in caputo sense, we apply the Adomain decomposition method. The application of Adomain decomposition method, developed for differential equations of integer order. The solution of our model equation is calculated in the form of convergent series with easily computable contents. The example of fluid phenomenon in instabilities in displacement through porous media with is presented to show the application of the present technique. Numerical results show that the approach of Adomain decomposition method is easy to implement and accurate when applied to partial differential equations.

ABSTRACT : Bhopal is the capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh which is undergoing fast rate of urban development and industrialization with the increase in population growth. This has brought about an adverse impact on the available precious water resources. The Kerwa dam is a used as a source of irrigation and drinking water and as a sink for domestic and agricultural waste water.The present study was conducted to assess the physicochemical variation in water of Kerwa dam at Bhopal. An assessment of various physicochemicalcharacteristics of water such as pH, temperature, DO, Hardness, Phosphate, Sulphate, Nitrate, and COD was carriedfor a period of one yearin (Nov. 2010-Oct. 2011) atfive sites of dam to know the pollution status. In the present study all the parameters such as TDS, pH, alkalinity, total hardness, chloride, Sulphate, nitrate, and fluoride were found to be with in the permissible limits, while COD and faecal coliform count was found to be beyond the limit in all the samples. Thus, this water body is not suitable for drinking purpose, so possible remedial method should be adopted for this water resource. As the TDS and EC values are within the limit therefore the water of this dam can be used for irrigation purpose.Statistical analysis among various physicochemical parameters was also carried out. Total hardness shows positive correlation with chloride, sulphate, and nitrate.

ABSTRACT : Phishing is an attack in which victims are lured by official looking email to a fraudulent web-site that appears to be that of a legitimate service provide. The email also provides victims with a convincing reason to log-on to the site. If users are fooled into logging-on, then the attacker is provided with the victims' authentication information for the legitimate service provider, often along with personal information, such as their credit-card data, checking account information or social security data. Successful phishing attacks can result not only in identity and asset theft, but also in more subtle attacks that need not be directly harmful to the victim but which have negative consequences for society. A coupon represents the right to claim some service which is typically offered by vendors. In practice, issuing bundled multi-coupons is more efficient than issuing single coupons separately. The diversity of interests of the parties involved in a coupon system demands additional security properties beyond the common requirements (e.g. unforgeability). Customers wish to preserve their privacy when using the multi-coupon bundle and to prevent vendors from profiling. Vendors are interested in establishing a long-term customer relationship and not to subsidise one-time customers, since coupons are cheaper than the regular price. We propose a secure multicoupon system that allows users to redeem a predefined number of single coupons from the same multi-coupon. The system provides unlinkability and also hides the number of remaining coupons of a multi-coupon from the vendor. A method used in the coupon system might be of independent interest. It proves knowledge of a signature on a message tuple of which a single message can be revealed while the remaining elements of the tuple, the index of the revealed message, as well as the signature remain hidden.

ABSTRACT : The influence of combined heat and mass transfer and gravity modulation on unsteady free convective, viscous incompressible flow past a porous vertical flat plate with periodic temperature in slip-flow regime retaining the terms involving viscous dissipation in the energy equation has been examined. Assuming variable suction at the plate and modulated gravity field of the form g = go + g1 sin (ωt), the analytical expressions for flow characteristics are obtained. The effect of gravity modulation on the gravity profiles, temperature profiles, species concentration is discussed. Increase in gravity modulation parameter shows decrease in the value of skinfriction and has increasing effect on phase of skin-friction. Gravity modulation parameter has significant impact on Nusselt number. Even a small increase in gravity modulation parameter leads to significant increase in the value of Nusselt number and decrease in phase of heat transfer.

ABSTRACT : Most of the Non-Linear evolution equations give soliton solutions. The simplified version of Hirota's method, proved to be an effective and straightforward technique for finding soliton and multi soliton solutions for various non-linear evolution equations. In this paper, soliton and multisoliton solutions of Kadommstev Petviashvilli (KP) equation are obtained by using a symbolic manipulation package mathematica introduced by Hereman et. al. Symbolic manipulation package allows one to construct exact soliton solutions of non linear evolution and wave equations, provided the equations can be brought in bilinear form using Simplified version of Hirota method.We have illustrated the method in detail and shown graphical soliton solutions by 3D plotting using symbolic computer language maple. Graphs at different intervals of time clearly represent waves collision, dispersion and again retaining their original speed and shape after a collision. Mathematical results of solitons show that soliton solutions are just polynomials of exponentials.

ABSTRACT : This paper presents a review of the literature that deals with Liquid Crystal Elastomers (LCE) and focus on the recent progress in developing high performance application of liquid crystal elastomers materials for biological applications. In this paper, firstly we describe a brief history of liquid crystal materials comprising low molar mass liquid crystals, liquid crystal polymers, Oligomers and polymer dispersed LC. Then we explore the unique properties of LC elastomers for application in biology. These materials exhibit very rich elastic behavior as they couple elastic fields and mobile liquid crystal order. The liquid crystallinity of these solid LC allows these to shape change without any energy cost. The combination of unique properties, like soft elasticity and large spontaneous shape change, make them suitable to possess application in generic large scale actuators/ sensors and in biology like for the formation of artificial Muscles/MEMS/MOEMS. These promising results indicate that LCE materials will certainly plays an important role in the development of future applications and functional materials.
