The purpose of the research was to propound an insulin activity model in a human body after a subcutaneous injection. A deterministic model in the form of a mathematical function was formulated. The research was based on pharmaceutic publicly available drug information published by the manufactures. The paper presents in detail the model. The obtained results can be used in computer simulations of diabetes mellitus therapy. They suggest that activity models may be assigned to types of insulin instead of separate products.

The primary purpose of this paper is to present and provide main advantages and disadvantages of most popular big data platforms as well as their comparison in terms of ease of installation, work, performance and price, in order to find the most suitable solution to work with big sets of data. Nowadays, the data is largely analyzed by scientists not related to IT, so the ease of use and presentation of data is extremely important. The purpose of the assessment was to indicate the best IT tool for analyzing data from the point of view of a young analyst or scientist graduating and entering the labor market.

The subject reached in the article is to check the performance of the Symfony framework for creating web applications. An overview of the literature about Symfony and the most popular modules. Based on the created three identical test applications written in the Symfony 2.8, 3.4 and 4.2 frameworks, they were compared with each other in terms of performance. The test application was written in the blog format. The software architecture style known as the API has been used. Related to this, it is possible to conduct scheduled tests. Symfony's performance testing for individual versions was based on, the time of loading data from the database and their search in the data collection, additional tests were to download data from a csv file and save them to a csv file.

The following paper presents the results of research on the impact of machine learning in the construction of a voice-controlled interface. Two different models were used for the analysys: a feedforward neural network containing one hidden layer and a more complicated convolutional neural network. What is more, a comparison of the applied models was presented. This comparison was performed in terms of quality and the course of training.

The aim of this paper is a comparative analysis of frameworks for designing corporate applications. For analytic reasons the application for document circulation within a law firm was designed. The presented comparative analysis includes TOGAF framework as well as Zachman framework. The analysis was conducted on group of experts based on evaluation criteria divided on several groups. Five groups of criteria were defined: implementation, testing, time-consuming, documentation and schedule planning. As the research shows, Zachman framework presents a versatile approach towards designing corporate architecture, because it presents not only the client’s vision but also the visions of a designer and a programmer, whereas TOGAF framework focuses mainly on business approach regarding aims and strategy of an enterprise. The aforementioned research was carried out on a group on a two domain experts.

The article describes the impact of using WebAssembly on the performance of web applications. A Blazor framework based on WebAssembly was used. The paper shows that it is possible to create fully functioning Single Page Application using C# programming language. The second application was made using Angular framework. Both applications implement the same functionalities. For prepared applications loading time and size of transferred data was measured. The impact of using browser cache memory and gzip compression was examined. The performance of handling http requests using GET and POST methods were measured. The performance of WebAssembly against JavaScript code in task of sorting a list of N objects was compared. The performance of modifying html DOM was examined. Selected code metrics of written applications were compared. JavaScript presents better performance with tasks related with browser API. WebAssembly was better for computing.

This article presents the results of the performance studies of applications created with use of CryEngine and Unity game engines. Presented research was mainly focused on comparison of two applications created on selected engines. Several parameters were selected for the research: frame rate, CPU usage, RAM usage and generation time of 3D objects. Created applications were built with the use of the same graphic resources and similar source code. The hypotheses set in the article – Unity game engine is more efficient than CryEngine – have been verified and partially confirmed: engines are more efficient in different environments.

Article presents how working on a website's design can significantly influence business benefits deriving from running the site, and if it can reduce the expenses connected with investing in advertisements. The research was based on the website of an operating English language school with real needs to increase user conversion. During the tests, specific information concerning visits was collected, including the length of a visit and the number of visits paid to particular subpages. Special attention in this research was paid to changes on graphic elements such as size, colour or location on the website.

The aim of the article is to compare two methods for identifying mushroom species. In article, two methods based on one of the most popular solutions in the field of image recognition, Tenosorflow and OpenCV, have been described. A research application was created to carry out the research, in which both algorithms were implemented and tested. In addition, the application was equipped with mechanisms facilitating the collection of application data and algorithms. The results of the research have show that the method based on Tensorflow by 9% more effectively recognizes mushroom species.

The aim of the article is to compare the performance of five popular virtualization solutions used in the private cloud model. The analysis was conducted for five virtualizers: Proxmox, OpenVZ, OpenNebula, Vmware ESX, Xen Server. OpenSSL, GeekBench and Phoronixtest-suite tools were used to perform performance tests. The comparison included selected encryption methods, data block size, and compilation speed.

The article presents a comparison of times needed for creating a mobile application for Android and iOS system using multi-platform Xamarin technology and respective native technologies for both systems. The authors’ application was implemented in three programming environments: VisualStudio (using Xamarin technology), Android Studio and XCode. The results of the conducted research have shown that the creation of an application in Xamarin technology takes approximately half the time.

The aim of the thesis was to perform a comparative analysis of selected high availability solutions. The issue of choosing the right HA solutions is an indispensable part of any company that uses IT infrastructure. As the most commonly used solutions are the virtualization solutions of Microsoft: Hyper-V and VMWare: vSphere, they have been subjected to in-depth analysis. For this purpose, we have performed performance tests of guest systems on the above hypervisors and we tested the behavior of the cluster in the event of failure of one of the hosts.

Various web application types of were presented, with the analysis of pros and cons of their usage. Diagnostic survey method was used in the analysis. Article shows a way of use an electronic heart rate monitor and surround sound to interact with user in virtual reality. The method of interact was presented on the basis of four scenarios. In the first two scenarios the behawior of objects in virtual reality depended on the indications of heart rate monitor in the next two scenarios heart rate monitor was just a measurer. The article attempts to find an answer to the question whether virtual reality affects the pulse of the examined person and whether surround sound affects the pulse of the examined person, and if so which factor influences the pulse to a greater extent. The individual resting pulse was measured and then was determined the pulse variability for each scenario. In the research, an analysis was carried for each person individually and collective analysis for each scenario. In addition, inference was also based on questionnaires before and after research.

The main problem during research with a motion capture system and mobile device is lack of possibility to simultaneously begin recording on the motion capture system and a mobile device. Two methods were developed to solve this problem. In the first method the recording is started on the mobile phone and the motion capture system is notified, in the second method the motion capture system starts recording and notifies the mobile device. Both of them were compared for lags and correlation of data form the mobile device and the motion capture system.

This paper describes modifications of path-finding algorithms. The modifications add time and distance constraints to generated paths. A* and BFS algorithms are modified. Additionally, A* algorithm modification which combines the advantages (generating the shortest routes with the smallest number of vertices) of A* and BFS is presented.. This allows for creating a route planning app that enables users of bike sharing services to travel more easily and economically.

Automated tests are designed to verify the functionality of the system at the level of the end-user interface. The article compared popular tools Selenium WebDriver and Protractor. To conduct a comparative analysis tools have been established five benchmarks under which it was carried out the analytical hierarchy proces. Based on the obtained calculations, conclusions have been drawn regarding which platform is a better choice in terms of testing the application of the Single Page Application.

The article presents an example of the use of eye-tracking technology in examining the quality of the web application interface. The subject of the research was the web part of the FastCat system, supporting the service of urban cycling races. The research methodology based on the implementation of an active experiment with users, using typical scenarios of system developed. User activities were recorded using eyetracking technology and were subjected to detailed analysis. The six-person research group had a profile analogous to potential users of the application. The final part of the article presents the results of quantitative research, a list of detected errors in the interface, as well as conclusions aimed at improving its quality.

Article shows analysis of Xamarin technology in two modes: Xamarin Forms and Xamarin Native, used for developing applications for mobile devices with Android system. Comparison concerns the number of generated lines of code, performance of each part and size of installed application and size of apk installation file. Analysis was based on two identical applications created using both approaches. As a result of the analysis the more efficient approach for given purpose has been indicated.
