The topics being considered in the study is to compare the text input methods in the mobile network communicator. Analyzed the speed of text entry as well as the number of mistakes made by users via the tested methods. Compared the methods of entering text using the QWERTY keyboard, Swype Technology, Handwriting and voice commands. The study was conducted among the two groups of respondents, by age of the participants. There have been characteristics of the selected text input methods in the mobile network communicator. On the needs of the article was developed mobile communicator.

The study describes and characterises BOID (bird-oid object) type behaviours, consisting of joint movement of a cluster of objects with the same properties. Authors presented Reynolds’ model, which takes into account 3 rules: separation, alignment and consistency, as well as the control procedures of a cluster of objects suggested by Parker, considering such variables as wind, aim, speed, order and the occurring forces. The test method was to conduct simulation experiments with different configurations of coefficients of the forces controlling the model. For each simulation the time of moving from the start point to the end point was measured. A hundred simulations were carried out for each individual group of coefficients, and then, using the described statistics methods, generalised time values were determined. This allowed a comparison of the results and made a conclusions. The numerical simulations carried out were implemented in Unity environment. Calculating the time required for travelling the same route was done by changing the value of the separation force, cohesion, alignment and avoidance. From the values obtained, it can be seen that the biggest influence on the increase of the time of moving BOID objects, is increasing value of the coefficient of separation and levelling forces. Unity environment is well suited to conduct such simulations, since it allows to obtain both numerical values and process visualization as a 3D image. In addition, Unity allows to create individual scripts to manage simulation in individual IDEs, and consists reliable documentation, which simplifies their writing.

Various methods that rely on offloading graphics card, by increasing the use of CPU and memory were used in order to check how the game performance changes.

This document reviews research in efficiency analysys of particles created by Unity 3D built-in particle system compared to those created via sctript written in C# language. Author focused his research on examining the impact of the various tasks on the speed of rendering frames, a difference which occur during the generation of particle by particle system and those generated by a script, and how influential is the complexity of the mesh particles generated on the application performance. For this purpose, using Unity3D, Microsoft Visual Studio and Blender, an applications for computers that are ruunniong on Windows system was created, application allows to adjust the simulation parameters (the number of generated particles, particle shape - sphere, cube).

Quality of sound is one of the most important factors while choosing the perfect smartphone model. This article concerns about domestic sound testing of smartphones. Both ways of examining and the equipment used for it are discussed. These tests have been performed on popular models of smarphones: Galaxy S6, iPhone 6S and Lumia 950 to collect recent data and to achieve the essential aim: establishing the fact which model is the best in terms of sound processing.

During the motion registration using passive motion capture system in the marker’s trajectory a gap may appear, which in the data post-processing should be filled in. Various interpolation algorithms are used for this purpose. This article presents three different interpolation methods: linear, polynomial of Lagrange of second degree and fifth degree. In the original 3D data the holes have been created, which are then filled in by mentioned methods. Each method was evaluated by measuring the Euklides distance for three dimensions of the original and interpolated data. The article presents the program to interpolate gaps in the trajectory, implemented in C ++ language. The analysis concerns the interpolation of selected marker’s trajectory which belongs to the Plug-in Gait model while performing walking.

Article presents comparative analysis of jQuery Mobile library and Bootstrap framework in responsive site development. The comparative based on two websites, made in these technologies. Criterions of analysis are: compatibility of mobile devices, prepared components, loading speed on different devices, code size and compatibility with W3C and Google standards. Both technologies in a large degree helps in process of websites development, although jQuery Mobile is more expanded.

There were four criteria accepted for the purpose of the research. The paper presents research on the applying augmented reality technology in the process of knowledge assimilation by pupils. The study was conducted with the use of dedicated educational mobile application. The application takes the form of a quiz, where 3D objects represent answers. The aim of the analysis is to confirm the thesis that the augmented reality applied in mobile applications helps in learning new contents. Preliminary survey and the analysis of achieved users results confirmed the thesis.

This publication presents chosen forms of data persistence such as: Local Storage, Shared Preferences, flat files and SQLite in the context of two widely used mobile operating systems – Android and Windows Mobile. It also describes ways to connect to external database engines such as Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL or MySQL and tries to answer the question which one of these data persistence forms makes the most sense and when. The arguments are based on performance tests that all of the described solutions were participants of.

The article presents the possibility to use mobile devices for recording and visualizing motion. Research focuses on Android devices. The study was written application for mobile devices that allows reading data from the magnetic sensor and acceleration sensor in three axes X, Y and Z. Comparative analysis tools for user interfaces prototyping was conducted using a mixed method consisting in the implementation of active experiment with the use of tools for the research group, conducting surveys and expert analysis of technical parameters of tools for prototyping. Study results have helped determine the values of diagnostic variables that have been used in the multi-selection method of the best tool selection.

Code quality is strongly dependent on using best coding practices during it’s development. This paper presents various code quality metrics in object oriented programming and computer tools to it automatic measurement. Two cases of software development by two different teams were considered. Code quality was analyzed in five following program versions. This study shows better value of almost (but not all) code quality metrics developed using agile methodology. It raises the conclusion about agile methodology advantage.
