In reverse supply chain under our study, there are four supply disruptions. As the source of the reverse supply chain, the supply disruption of used-products between end-consumers and collector will largely affect the profits of the reverse supply chain. In order to manage the profits of the reverse supply chain, we give an expanded stock-flow diagram with this supply disruption of the reverse supply chain by using system dynamics methodology, show the simulation results of collector’s profit, disassembly center’s profit, remanufacturer’s profit and the mean of their profits under different disruption periods. By analyzing the simulation results, we present a strategy to ensure the members positive profits. The strategy is adding another channel of purchasing used-products for the collector. We show the simulation results of the members profits and their mean after using the strategy, and give the suitable range of purchase quantity of used-products for the strategy.

Human computer interaction technology has been applied too much in Automated Teller Machine’s design, such as interface design. In this paper, we have done a survey on human computer technology for ATM and presented an investigation of the ATM’s design on the precious literatures. The user experience test and evaluation of the prototype are reviewed and discussed in details, and we find the defects and the improvement of the ATM’s design. In the end, we propose some suggestions and discussion in future works.

Text to speech system(TTS) ,which converts text into speech through computer and then output the speech, is a popular research object in the realm of speech processing in recent years．A successful TTS outputs speech with clear timbre and natural fluency．TTS is composed of Text analysis, prosody control and speech synthesis modules. Text analysis module is in the front end, which gives the linguistics and phonetics text detailed information for the speech synthesis. This paper, based on the Tibetan written, pronunciation characteristics and pronunciation mechanism, gives the basic structure of TTS that is based on large-scale speech corpus and study of standardization, word segmentation and voice tagging technologies for Tibetan TTS.

A switched-capacitor-based battery equalizer using level-shift circuits is proposed in this paper. In conventional equalizers using diode switches, the threshold voltage of diode switches causes a decrease in power efficiency. Unlike conventional equalizers, the proposed equalizer alleviates the threshold-voltage-drop of switches by using level-shift circuits. Therefore, the proposed equalizer can improve power efficiency. The properties of the proposed equalizer were investigated through SPICE simulations, theoretical analyses and experiments. SPICE simulations showed that 1. the proposed equalizer can improve power efficiency more than 40 % when output load is 1 k and 2. theoretical results corresponded well with SPICE simulation results. Therefore, the derived theoretical formulas will be helpful to estimate circuit properties of switched-capacitor-based battery equalizers. Furthermore, the experiments showed that the proposed equalizer can offer higher cell voltage than the conventional equalizer. Therefore, the proposed equalizer can achieve high power efficiency.

Recently the steel wire reinforced composite pipelines are increasingly used in many different fields with researches usually focus on their mechanical properties. A constitutive model of the composite pipe’s mechanical properties is presented, which can be used to solve the problems of stress, strain and displacements. After that, 3D CAD models of two kinds of steel wire reinforced composite pipes are built, and then the displacements and stress distribution of the pipes under constant internal and external pressure are analyzed by using FEA software, respectively. The differences between the mechanical properties of the two kinds of composite pipes are elaborated by comparing the displacements of the distribution curve along their corresponding paths. The results show that the braided steel wire reinforced composite pipes have better mechanical properties than the welded ones. That may be due to the crisscross that makes both the clockwise and counter-clockwise steel wires bear the same pressure.

For back-lighting applications, a white LED (WLED) driver using a hybrid-input negative ring-type converter is proposed in this paper. To drive the LED’s cathode, the proposed driver offers the negative steppedup/stepped-down voltages by converting clean energy. The proposed driver can realize longer battery lifetime than conventional converters, because 1. In spite of the variation in clean energy input, the proposed step-up/step-down driver can utilize the clean energy effectively and 2. The proposed driver can charge a rechargeable battery when the back-light is standby mode. The properties of the proposed driver were clarified by theoretical analyses and SPICE simulations. SPICE simulations showed that the proposed driver can provide the sufficient voltage to drive LEDs by using not only battery energy but also clean energy. Furthermore, the theoretical formulas are useful for designing the proposed driver, because the theoretical results corresponded well with the simulation results.

Fast catamaran oscillates in shortwave sea conditions due to its low length to beam ratio and relatively light weight. T-foils or interceptors are effective stabilizers for alleviating the pitch and heave motions of fast craft. This work designs a catamaran motion decoupling combined control system utilizing 2 T-foils and 2 interceptors, which can not only control the longitudinal motion, but also alleviate the roll motion of fast catamaran. Numerical simulation results show that the motion control system can satisfactorily improve seakeeping performance of fast catamaran.

Transformers are considered as significant equipments in electrical power systems, once failure ,the economic operation will be lost. To overcome this difficulty and to maintain economic operation of facilities, diverse diagnosis methods are developed to implement fault forecasting. According to intelligent complementary ideas, a fault diagnosis is proposed when there is a missing failure symptom of transformer. The core of the proposed approach is a soft hybrid induction system called the Generalized Distribution Table and Rough Set System (GDT-RS) to discover classification rules. The system is based on a combination of Generalized Distribution Table (GDT) and the Rough Set methodologies. The proposed approach is applied into transformer fault diagnosis and the results indicate that it is very effective and accurate.

Ontologies have long been considered the core of semantics as they offer shareable and reusable knowledge about a particular domain. Improving and sharing domain specific knowledge residing in a database is one of the key challenges faced while developing any application. Due to the ever growing amount of data on the Web, it is almost impossible to extract meaningful data and the amount of manual work during creation of ontology poses series of challenges. And researchers are facing challenges such as the unavailability of well-formed databases, domain expert’s help for extracting cardinality restrictions and generation of un-resolvable URIs. Therefore, we have focused on domain specific relational databases for constructing ontologies as a solution. Our aim is to analyze the various Ontology construction approaches from relational databases and identify the advantages and disadvantages of these techniques, so that an enhanced and efficient approach can be proposed. We have performed detailed analysis of various ontology construction techniques from relational database (RDB) based on database schema analysis (meta-data, cardinality restrictions and datatype information), stored data (through data mining) and also performed a comparative analysis of these techniques.

SNMP-based system for monitoring network is equipped with network management, monitoring system and statistic analysis of the network in it. It not only contains the function like network information capture that normal network devices have, but also has the ability to extend such applications as CPU usage rate, traffic flow information of interfaces and memory usage rate through plug-in mechanism. Simplifying the basic network management tasks by centering on auto-topology mechanism and making a tradeoff between usability and extensibility, the auto-topology control which is implemented and designed independently could support almost networking devices with better flexibility. Completely supporting to capture TrapV1, TrapV2 and partial TrapV3 (limited by protocol) with embedded database to facilitate backend storage, the software has become a green-software except depending on .NET Framework 4.
