A new traffic locality oriented route discovery algorithm with chase packets, referred to as TLRDA-C, is introduced. It improves route discovery process in on-demand routing protocols for MANETs running applications that exhibit traffic locality. The algorithm defines a neighbourhood region that includes the most likely destinations for each given source node. TLRDA-C broadcasts any route request travelling within their source node’s neighbourhood region according to the routing algorithm used. However, propagation of the route request is deliberately delayed within the beyond neighbourhood region to provide the associated chase packet with an opportunity to stop the fulfilled route request and minimise network congestion.The algorithm is adaptive and continuously updates the boundary of each source node’s neighbourhood to improve performance. We provide detailed performance evaluation using simulation modelling and compare our algorithm with AODV, Limited Broadcasting, and Blocking-ERS. Our result shows that TLRDA-C improves the performance by minimizing the average end-to-end delay as well as the network overhead and congestion level.

Keystroke dynamics refers to the timing information that expresses precisely when each key was pressed and released as a person types. In this paper, we present a novel keystroke dynamic recognition system by using a novel fusion approach. Firstly, we extract four types of keystroke latency as the feature data from our dataset. We then calculate their mean and standard deviation to be stored as template. The test feature data will be transformed into similarity scores via Gaussian Probability Density Function (GPD). We also propose a new technique, known as Direction Similarity Measure (DSM), to measure the trend differential among each digraph in a phrase. Lastly, various fusion rules are applied to improve the final result by fusing the scores produced by GPD and DSM. Best result with equal error rate of 2.791% is obtained when the AND voting rule is used.

In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing 0(OFDM) systems the reduction of out-of-band radiations is an essential topic. To design a successful OFDM based overlay systems, it is important to reduce the sidelobes in OFDM systems. In this paper we consider three approaches: Subcarrier weighting (SW) which is based on the multiplication of the used subcarriers with real-valued weighting factors, second approach we consider is multiple choice sequence (MCS) which is based on producing set of sequences and selecting the one sequence which has lowest power in sidelobes and third approach we consider is the conventional windowing of OFDM signal in time domain. We combine MCS with windowing technique and SW with windowing technique. Simulation results show that by combining MCS with windowing technique and SW with windowing technique, the out-of-band radiations in OFDM system can be significantly suppressed.

In this paper a novel control method and state observer are proposed for an autonomous humanoid robot joint model for fast tracking response and superior performance. The various movements of the robot for pre specified joint trajectories can be achieved using proposed controller. The controller is simple and is able to produce desirable results. The linearized robot joint model is controlled by a simpler order feedback control designed on the basis of quasi-linear feedback theory. Under this design, the pole of the lead-lag compensator depends on the gain of open loop system. A simulink model is developed to model single joint in the body. The proposed controller guarantees fast tracking of the desired trajectories, as well ensures the safety. Since the plant model involves differentiation of a state variable to generate another, resulting in a reduction of signal to noise ratio, a state observer is designed for the feedback system to ensure maximum safety and improved performance. The simulations are done showing the validity of the scheme. Pole placement method is used to design the observer parameters. The application of proposed controller and state observer is illustrated by linear model.
