In this paper we present a soft handover algorithm for wide band CDMA has been developed and implemented in the framework of a system level UMTS simulator, this algorithm depend on measurement of Average Received Signal and speed of user, the evaluated under the uplink and downlink UMTS system, the performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated under different speed scenarios for User Equipment(UE) It shown via OPNET simulation, the proposed handover algorithm can effectively reduce the delay compared with Integrator Handover Algorithms, provided solution to improvement the performance in UMTS network by minimizing delay(Queuing sent delay, Uplink tunnel delay, Down link tunnel delay) and Packet loss ratio and BER and busy. Moreover, the total system throughput higher, the comparative analysis for all metrics carried out and gave the best performance for the proposed algorithm.

The onset of Rayleigh-Bénard convection in a horizontal layer of ferrofluid in Brinkman porous medium is investigated by using Galerkin weighted residuals method. Linear stability theory based upon normal mode analysis is employed to find expressions for Rayleigh number and critical Rayleigh number. The boundaries are considered to be free-free. ‘Principle of Exchange of Stabilities’ hold and the oscillatory modes are not allowed. The effects of magnetic parameters and Brinkman Darcy number on the stationary convection are investigated both analytically and graphically.

In this paper, pulse-width-modulated (PWM) resonant inverter with (LCC) topology is presented for high Frequency ac power distribution systems High-frequency AC (HFAC) power distribution system (PDS) has recently received more and more attentions and has abroad application from electric vehicle to Micro-grid. The resonant inverter is commonly used to provide the fixed frequency output for point of load (POL) the inverter system is comprised of simple power and control circuitry. However, the control and implementation of high-frequency resonant inverter is complicated to provide good steady and dynamic performance, because of the worse operating circumstance from parameter uncertainties, inaccuracy model, as well as load and line perturbations The detailed analysis shows that the proposed inverter has very low total harmonic distortion, near-zero switching losses, and fast transient response. Open loop and Closed loop Simulation results are presented to prove the performance of the proposed inverter.

This paper presents the design of compensators for speed control of separately excited dc motor (SEDM) based on bacterial foraging optimization (BFO) technique. The social foraging behavior of Escherichia (E. Coli) bacteria has been used to optimize compensator performance by adjusting it's parameters (pole and zero locations as well as compensator gain).The SEDM mathematical model is used because it's more reality to the actual plant rather than linear transfer function model in the control design and studies and give more accurate results. The mathematical model is simulated using MATLAB R2014a simulink toolbox. The SEDM is loading for different loads ranging from no-load to full-load to test the compensator behavior and it's robustness for wide range of loadings variations. The results are compared with compensators designed using root locus method. The results show the superiority of BFO versus root locus method for both lead and lag-compensators design, which leads to improve the transient and steady state of speed responses of SEDM for different loads. The proposed method is very efficient and could easily be extended for other global optimization problems.

This paper focuses on the effects of Soret, Dufour, heat generation, radiation, order of chemical reaction and viscous dissipation on a steady combined free-force convective and mass transfer flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting and radiating fluid over an isothermal semi-infinite vertical porous flat plate embedded in a porous medium. The partial differential equations governing the problem have been transformed by a similarity transformation into a system of ordinary differential equations which are solved numerically by using the sixth-order of Runge-Kutta technique alongside with shooting method. The behavior of the velocity, temperature, concentration, skin-friction coefficient, Nusselt number and Sherwood number for variations in the governing thermo physical embedded parameters are computed, analyzed and discussed.

The present investigation has been carried out in Agargaon watershed of Wardha and Nagpur district of Maharashtra to characterize and to prioritize it for conservation and management using remote sensing and GIS techniques. The watershed has been prioritized by adopting two methods viz. compound morphometric parameters and sediment yield index model. The study of morphometric parameters viz. circularity and elongation ratios show that all the sub-watersheds have close to circular shape. The highest bifurcation ratio 9.0 in ws6 suggesting a strong structural control on the drainage. Based on compound morphometric parameter values sub-watersheds have been grouped into four priority class. The highest priority is given to the sub-watersheds ws3 and ws4 where as the sub-watersheds ws1 and ws7 receive lowest priority with compound parameter values 4.75 and 5.63 respectively. Various thematic maps are generated by using IRS– P6 LISS-IV data and SOI Toposheet and those maps are intersected under GIS environment to prepare Erosion Intensity Unit (EIU) map required for to calculate sediment yield indices. The watersheds have been grouped in four priority class based on SYI values. The sub-watersheds ws6 and ws7 receive lowest priority class where as ws3 receives the highest priority for conservation.

In this paper, an attempt has been made to throw the lights on the remarkable presence of the Radio frequency identification (RFID) technology and its application and benefits in today’s perspective. RFID is really efficient and detects easily quantity, variety and proper information which reduces queues, decrease repeatable tasks, extend internal security, procure collection, lower the cost and raise efficiency of inventory management and arrangement. The practically cost effective implication use of this technology is in transportation/distribution, industrial, security and access control, nuclear plant system, airport security, animal identification, automated library system, healthcare, digital card mail, toy industry, economic sectors such as retail sector, commercial sector, healthcare services, checkpoint system and toll road control. A better management system is related to broad understanding of the technologies implemented in various sectors and sufficient literature review o the RFID technology is provided including supply chain system and its appropriateness are discussed. The study provides concerning point of future research, facilities and knowledge concerning role of the RFID technology adoption.
