A quasi-experimental study conducted with tenth grade of Institución Educativa Distrital (IED) San José from Barranquilla. To develop it, it was an experimental group and a control group with proof of equivalence, in order to implement an intervention device called Inclusive guides, that were designed under the principles of meaningful learning proposed by Ausubel, Novak & Hanessian (1983) and Villarini’s intelect skills. At the same time, the effectiveness generated by such a device in the optimization of the processes of teaching and learning of content associated with the Chemistry was determined. The statistical results obtained after the application of the “t” of Student to the managed post-test shows huge differences in favor of the experimental group stimulated with the device, to the detriment of the group control subjected to traditional teaching.

The methods used to conduct research are one of the indicators that show the degree of a country’s development. The research related to the evaluation about the impact of “ONDAS” program in students and teachers of educational institutions in Sucre, Caribbean region, specifically from 2007 to 2009, was carried out based on assessment objectives using qualitative and quantitative methods in order to determine that the impact was significant, since it enabled the actors involved in the appropriation of a research culture embracing a spirit of inquiry, the new meaning of pedagogical practice mastery, linking of external actors, building communities, and, in general, making the assumption that the research was conducted as a pedagogical strategy to experience a method alternative to traditional learning processes.

This publication intends to invite people appointed as facilitators in the lawyer training process, to reflect on the following question: Is the teaching practice used by the teacher relevant to develop competences that are required by the current Colombian legal field? This question is relevant, especially by taking into account the constitutional rules of 1991 including the welfare state in the legal system, the Compulsory Constitutional precedent and orality changes encourage teachers to use methods and pedagogical resources in accordance to the teaching of legal positivism (standard) judicial decisions and orality. This paper is a preliminary result of the study carried out and based on the conceptual framework of the research project of law program at Universidad Simón Bolívar (branch in Cúcuta). “The training of the lawyer in relation with the Colombian legal system”. It was used as the methodology of documentary analysis and operational technique for the interpretation of books, articles, and judgments of the Constitutional court. In conclusion, it is focused on the need to address the teaching of the law schools from the ius naturalist, positivist, legal realist, as well as the use of relevant teaching methods and means to develop the skills for the new system.

Today the interest in this regard is focused on the construction of a theoretical field about science teaching as well as the development of curriculum models and teaching aids. However, there is still a lack of a conceptual framework in order to explain the relationship between Science teacher-master and Science student-learner, specifically in their interaction area. Such interaction takes place in the “interpretive area” of the expert, a space where the science curriculum can find its turning point in which it materializes.

The following paper addresses the teaching practices employed by teachers at two public schools in the cities of Barranquilla, Atlantico and Giron, Santander, Colombia, to treat cases of school violence occurring between elementary school students in the seventh and eighth grade. A survey of 71 students aged 12-14 years from Colegio San Juan de Giron and 17 students aged 13-15 years from Colegio Alejandro Obregon in Barranquilla helped to identify the types of violent occurrences in the student population and to develop a characterization of conflict in the school environment. Twenty-five teachers (12 from Barranquilla and 13 from Giron) were also surveyed as a way to aid in improving their practices regarding school conflict resolution. The results were interpreted using the qualitative case study method, and from these results it was concluded that school violence is a reality and the students do not have confidence in their teachers.

This paper is a result of a macro project for Latin American higher education. It shows progress based on our research in the Central East Region of Colombia. This research, Curriculum field formation, was conducted in this region of Colombia, between 1960 and 1989. After establishing the corresponding theoretical foundation to this study, the authors come to their own conclusions surrounding the context of the region’s educational curriculum. The study also analyzes the emergence of the region’s educational process in the context of education throughout the world,in cooperation with the United States, along with Colombia’s National education policies. There were favorable conditions which made possible the curriculum field formation of the country’s educational system describe these processes. Finally, the study recognizes the roles of many actors, both domestic and international, and looks at reactions to the policies which are oficially based on rules and decrees from the Colombian Educational Administration.

This research aimed to explain the nature and extent of social capital present in relations among the members of a rural communities in Andres Eloy Blanco municipality of Estado de Lara (Venezuela). The methodology was qualitative and used direct observation, which is inherent in all research processes, as well as participatory observation, where the researcher shared his points of view based on the information that was gathered. Ethnographic method was also used. When applied to the lifestyle of a group of people, it hinders the establishment of social networks with the results allowed to make explicit that the nature and of social capital extent in these communities is emerging, which hinders the establishment of social networks. It was concluded that the nature of social capital is spaced, egocentric and informal, own of the ties of affective relationships; the range is characterized by relationships of linkage and association between communities.

In this article, we review the literature on psycho-educational intervention for children and young people with talent and giftedness. This analysis is presented in order to promote studies in the field of gifted and talented within Colombian classrooms. In this way, it will be possible to identify and promote students who, due to ignorance, go unnoticed or are poorly catalogued in relation with the educational needs. It also identifies current strategies used in the global context such as grouping, acceleration and homeschooling.

This paper presents a study of the works of the contemporary British playwright Edward Bond. The analysis is based on literary social criticism through which the violence present in the work of Edward Bond is studied. The research is presented in sections. In the first instance, there is a biography of the author and how this was refl ected in his work. Then the study describes briefl y the development of British theater in the twentieth century. Then the study presents a summary of the work under consideration and its corresponding analysis indicating the violent actions and their respective study. Also included is a subchapter where the question arises about the positive or negative aspects of the work. In the last part, there is a brief review of other works written by the author where violence is demonstrated consistently. The conclusions are some ideas the author raises followed by a statement about the validity of the writer’s work and the importance of this study in the teaching of English.

This article, which is the result of a quasi-experimental research, determines the effect of simulation as a teaching strategy in solving logical problems in the development of thinking skills (D.H.P-2) Chair. The research is based on the cognitive theory of significant learning and its development involved two groups, one experimental and another one control. Each group consisted of 29 students, in a total sample of 58 participants (students), who were subjected to a test of previous knowledge in basic mathematical operations a pre-test of content about logic problems and a post-test to measure performance content reached in the end. Simulation as a didactic strategy and the expository technique were applied to both the experimental and control group.
