1839 yılında Sultan Abdülmecid’in ihya ettiği Halid Ağa Çeşmesi’nin adı değiştirilerek Abdülmecid Han Çeşmesi olmuştur. 1902 senesinde günümüzdeki Haydarpaşa’daki yerine taşınmış ve çeşme zamanla yol kotu altında kalmıştır. Haydarpaşa Tren İstasyonu alanında, “Marmaray Projesi Gebze-Halkalı Banliyö Hattı İyileştirmesi” kapsamında, İstanbul Arkeoloji Müzeleri denetiminde 2018 senesinde “Haydarpaşa Garı Arkeolojik Kazıları” başlatılmıştır. Kazı çalışmaları sırasında çeşmenin taşınmadan evvelki yerinden Halid Ağa Çeşmesi Kitâbesi bulunmuştur. Tıbbiye Köprüsü G1 ayağının inşası sırasında ise Haydarpaşa’daki mevcut yerinden Abdülmecid Han Çeşmesi ve Sarnıcı ortaya çıkarılmıştır. Tüm bu çalışmalar sayesinde gün ışığına çıkarılan bu eserler kültürel bir miras olarak kentsel dokuya tekrar kazandırılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın literatüre katkısı, çeşmenin yapım tarihinden günümüze kadar geçirdiği tüm değişimlerin belge ve haritalarla tespit edilmesidir. Çeşme, çağdaş örnekleri ile süsleme detayları açısından karşılaştırılmış, ölçü ve yapısal özellikleri tanımlanarak araştırmacılara veri oluşturmuştur. Zamanla işlevini kaybeden çeşmenin yeniden ortaya çıkarılması ile koruma sorunları değerlendirilmiştir. In 1839, the name of the Halid Ağa Fountain, which was restored by Sultan Abdülmecid, was changed into Abdülmecid Han Fountain. It was moved to its current location in Haydarpasha in 1902 and over the time the fountain remained below the road level . In the area of Haydarpaşa Train Station, “Haydarpasha Train Station Archaeological Excavations” was started in 2018 under the supervision of Istanbul Archeology Museums, within the scope of “Marmaray Project Gebze-Halkalı Suburban Line Improvement”. During the excavations, the Halid Ağa Fountain Inscription was found in the place before the fountain was moved. During the construction of the Tıbbiye Bridge G1 pillar, Abdülmecid Han Fountain and Cistern were unearthed from its current location in Haydarpaşa. Thanks to all these works, which were brought to light, were brought back to the urban fabric as a cultural heritage. The contribution of this study to the literature is to identify all the changes that the fountain has undergone from the date of its construction to the present day, with documents and maps. The fountain was compared with its contemporary examples in terms of ornamental details, its size, and the structural features were defined and data were created for researchers. Conservation problems were evaluated with the re-discovery of the fountain, which lost its function over time.

Kitap sanatları arasında önemli bir yere sahip olan minyatür sanatı, yazma eserler içerisinde yer alan metinleri görselleştirmek amacı ile yapılmışlardır. Bir haminin desteği ile vücuda getirilen resimli tarihlerde eserin metninde olduğu gibi içerisinde yer alan minyatürlerde de hami lehine inşa edilmiş taltif edici bir dilin varlığı göze çarpar. Bu bağlamda bizzat padişahın ya da yüksek makamdaki devlet görevlilerinin emri ile yapımına başlanan resimli tarihlerde padişah lehine inşa edilen, onun iktidarını taltif edici bir görsel dilin varlığı dikkati çeker. Ele alınan makalede, padişahtan yana olan bu iktidar dilinin Osmanlı minyatürlerindeki varlığı, Türklerdeki iktidar sembolleri ve kozmik merkez kavramları üzerinden analiz edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu analizin yapılacağı örnek olarak ise bizzat padişahın talimatı ile yapımına başlanan 1558 tarihli Süleymannâme (TSMK, H. 1517) adlı eserin vr. 503a da yer alan “Kanunî Sultan Süleyman’ın Halep’teki Sarayda Hicaz’dan Sorumlu Mekke Şerifi’nin Elçisini Huzura Kabulü” sahnesi seçilmiştir. Yapılan bu analiz sonucunda mevcut minyatürde merkez ve iktidar sembollerinin varlığından müteşekkil bir dikey kompozisyon şemasının varlığına rast gelinmiştir. Miniature art, which has an important place among the book arts, was created with the aim of visualizing the texts in the manuscripts. In the illustrated dates brought to life with the support of a patron, the presence of a gratifying language built in favor of the patron stands out in the miniatures included as well as in the text of work. In this context, the presence of a visual language built in favor of the sultan on the illustrated dates, which were started to be created by the order of the sultan himself or the state officials in high office, that gratifies his power, draws attention. In the article discussed, the existence of this language of power in Ottoman miniatures were tried to be analyzed through the concepts of symbols of power in Turks and the cosmic center. As the example through which this analysis was to be done, the scene “Suleiman the Magnificent Receiving the Messenger of the Sharif of Mecca Responsible of Hijaz in the Palace in Aleppo” in the vr. 503a of the 1558 dated work d Suleiman-nama (Süleymannâme) (TSMK, H. 1517), the making of which had started by the order of sultan, was selected. As a result of this analysis, a vertical composition scheme consisting of the symbols of center and power has been found in the present miniature.

Fransız İhtilali’nin yıkımları ve Endüstri Devrimi’nin şehirlerde başlattığı dönüşümün etkisiyle tarihî anıtların uğradığı tahribata karşı Fransa’da yükselen tenkitlerin önemli isimlerinden birisi olan Victor Hugo, bazı eserlerinin ana temasını o dönemdeki yıkımlara karşı verdiği mücadele etrafında kurgulamıştı. İngiltere’deki çağdaşı John Ruskin ile benzer düşünceleri Fransa’da dile getiren Hugo, bilinçsiz ve tartışmalı restorasyon uygulamalarına karşı da sesini yükseltenlerin başında geliyordu. Yaptığı ayrıntılı tasvirlerle anıtların yazılı bir belgelemesini yapan Hugo’nun eserlerinde mimari anıtlar geniş yer tutmakta, tarih ve kültüre karşı duyarlılığını her fırsatta dile getirdiği satırları, sanat eserlerine hak ettikleri saygıyı göstermeye teşvik ederken çağdaş koruma düşüncesinin ortaya çıkışına da katkı sağlamaktaydı. Edebiyatını bir belgeleme ve mücadele aracı olarak kullanan Hugo, Notre Dame’ın Kamburu romanı ve Yıkıcılarla Savaş isimli makalesiyle geniş kitlelerin dikkatini çekmişti. Bu çalışmada, Hugo’nun eserlerinde mimari koruma hakkındaki düşünceleri ve bu alana katkıları ele alınmış, Yıkıcılarla Savaş isimli makalesi dilimize kazandırılmış ve uluslararası koruma ilkeleri ve günümüzdeki bazı koruma tartışmalarıyla ilişkilendirilerek irdelenmiştir. In the 19th century, Victor Hugo was one of the important names of the criticisms that rose in France against the destruction of historical monuments due to the demolition of the French Revolution and the transformation in cities initiated by the Industrial Revolution. Hugo, set the main theme of some of his works around his struggle against the destruction that took place at that time, as his contemporary John Ruskin in England. Historic monuments occupied a large place in Hugo’s texts, and he also made well written documentation of the monuments with his detailed descriptions, encouraging the sensitivity to history and culture at every opportunity to show the respect they deserve to artworks, while also contributing to the emergence of contemporary conservation idea. Using his literature as a means of documentation and struggle, Hugo attracted the attention of the masses with his novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame and also his essay War on Demolishers. In this study, Hugo’s ideas and contributions on architectural conservation in his works were discussed, his essay War on Demolishers was translated into Turkish, and it is correlated with today’s conservation debates and international conservation principles.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, üst orta gelirli ülkelerde Kaldor büyüme modellerinin geçerliliğinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmada üst orta gelirli ülkelerin tercih edilmesinde bu ülkelerin son yılların en önemli büyüme sorunları arasında yer alan orta gelir tuzağı riski ile karşı karşıya olmalıdır. Çalışmada verisine ulaşılabilen 24 üst orta gelirli ülke için 1991-2019 dönemi ele alınarak, Kaldor’un önerdiği her üç model için panel veri modelleri tahmin edilmiştir. Modellerin tahmininden önce serilerin durağanlığı kırılmalı birim kök testleri ile incelenmiştir. Tahmin sonuçlarına göre orta gelir tuzağı riski ile karşı karşıya olan söz konusu ülkeler için sadece Kaldor’un önerdiği ikinci modelin geçerli olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. The aim of this study is to examine the validity of Kaldor growth models in upper middle income countries. The reason why upper middle income countries were preferred in the study that they were faced with the risk of middle income trap, which is among the most important growth problems of these countries in recent years. In the study, panel data models were estimated for the Kaldor’s growth models for 24 upper middle-income countries whose data can be accessed by considering the period 1991-2019. Before the estimation of the models, the stationarity of the series was examined with the unit root tests with structural break. According to the estimation of the results, it has been concluded that only Kaldor’s second model has been found valid for those countries with the risk of middle income trap.

İlk dönemlerde Rumeli’de sonraki yüzyıllarda Anadolu’da bir köyde hayata gelen bir çocuk fiziki özellikleri ve yetenekleri ile seçilerek devşirme sistemi içine girmektedir. Sistem içinde, kabiliyeti ve itaatkârlığı oranında yükselerek, hazırlık saraylarından/ mekteplerinden sonra Topkapı Sarayı’na gelmektedir. Enderûn’da, devşirilerek gelenler dışında, müteferrikalar, hediye olarak gelen köleler, iltimaslılar, zâdeler ve çıraklar da bulunmaktadır. Enderûn’da eğitim ve seçimlere tabi tutularak; Büyük Oda, Küçük Oda, Seferli Koğuşu, Doğancı Koğuşu, Kilerli Koğuşu, Hazine Koğuşu’nda onlarca yıl eğitim gördükten sonra Has Oda’ya terfi etmektedir. Enderûn teşkilatı içinde yer alan bu koğuşların her birinde; kaç kişinin eğitim göreceği, hangi kurallarla koğuş içinde terfi edileceği, hangi kıyafetleri giyecekleri, koğuş mevcutları yanında yaptıkları hizmetler de farklılık göstermektedir. Büyük Oda ve Küçük Oda’ya mensup ağaların kıyafetleri diğer koğuşlardan farklı olduğu gibi padişaha sundukları bir hizmette bulunmamaktadır. Bu çalışmada koğuşlar içindeki hiyerarşik yapı sınıflandırılarak, her sınıfta bulunan görevlilerin unvanları, vazifeleri, kıyafetleri, bahşişleri, terfileri, ilmî çalışmaları tespit edilmeye çalışılacaktır. Enderûn teşkilatı çalışırken sıklıkla karşılaşılan; “acemilik”, “cülus bahşişi”, “bayram inamı” gibi terimlerin koğuştan koğuşa gösterdiği farklılık irdelenecektir. Eğitimin son basamağı olan Has Oda; sınırlı kontenjanı, özel kuralları, sınıflandırması, ağaların sıra dışı ayrıcalıkları ve padişahla kurdukları olağanüstü ilişkilerle tüm ağaların ortak hayalidir. A child who came to life in a village of Rumelia the first periods and of Anatolia in the following centuries, is selected with his physical characteristics and abilities, and enters the recruitment system. Within his system, he rises in proportion to his capability and obedience and comes to Topkapı Palace after preparatory palaces/schools. In Enderûn, besides the recruited ones, there are also connoisseurs, slaves who come as gifts, benefactors, people and apprentices. By being subjected to education and elections in Enderûn, after decades of education in Büyük Oda, Küçük Oda, Seferli Ward, Doğancı Ward, Kilerli Ward, and Treasury Ward, he is promoted to the Privy Chamber. In each of these wards within the Enderûn organization; how many people will be educated, under which rules will be promoted within the ward, which clothes they will be worn, and the services they provide besides the wards are also differ from each other. While the clothes of the aghas belonging to Büyük Oda and Küçük Oda are different from the other wards, they do not serve the sultan. In this study, by classifying the hierarchical structure in the wards, the titles, duties, clothes, gratuities, promotions, scientific studies of the officers in each class will be tried to be determined. Frequently encountered cases while studying the Enderûn organization, such as the difference between terms of “inexperience”, “ enthronement tip”, “feast tip” from ward to ward, will also be examined. The Privy Chamber which is the last step of education, with its limited quota, special rules, classification, extraordinary privileges of the aghas with the extraordinary relationships they established with the sultan, is the common dream of all aghas.

Yanı sıra, çoğu akademisyen derviş gruplarını Ortodoks (Sünni) veya Heterodoks (Gayr-i Sünni) şeklinde tasnif etmekte ve derviş topluluklarını Sünnilik açısından değerlendirmektedir. Bu makalede, farklı yaşam tarzları olan ve farklı mistik tecrübe yaşayan derviş topluluklarını yek pare bir grup olarak ele almanın problematiği üzerinde duracağız. Ayrıca, Ortaçağ döneminde kural dışı hareket eden derviş topluluklarıyla Ortodoks olarak anılan Sûfî gruplar arasında derin bir ilişki ağı bulunduğundan dolayı, derviş topluluklarını Sünni veya Gayr-i Sünni olarak sınıflandırmanın zorluğunu vurgulayacağız. While some scholars describe all antinomian dervish groups as Qalandari, other scholars oppose this perspective because of its essentialist characteristics. Also, most scholars classify dervish groups as Orthodox (Sunni) or Heterodox (Non-Sunni) and analyze dervish communities in terms of Sunnism. In this article, I will argue that treating dervish communities as a single group is problematic since there had been dervish communities with different lifestyles and different mystical experiences. Also, classifying dervish communities as Sunni or non-Sunni was not substantial since interaction and exchanges existed between antinomian dervish communities and Orthodox Sufi groups in the Middle Ages.

Bu çalışmanın hedefi etkileşimli ve katılımcı bir medya türü olan yeni medyanın politik/ ideolojik söylem üretiminde en etkili mecralarından biri olan Twitter’ın yapısını ve kullanıcılarının varoluşsal konumu mekân ve kimlik olguları üzerinden çözümlemektir. Modern yaşamın ontolojik anlamda doğal, teknik anlamda yapay bir uzantısı olan, bir bireyselleşme/ toplumsallaşma pratiği olarak sosyal medyanın modern birey üzerindeki varoluşsal boyuttaki etkisi; bireysel ve toplumsal yaşantıdaki duyuş, düşünüş, algılayış ve davranış kalıplarını dönüştürmesi; son olarak tarihteki örneklerinden çok farklı bir insan ve uygarlık türünün oluşumundaki inkâr edilemez rolünün arka planındaki paradigmatik değişim irdelenmektedir. Bu hedeflere ulaşmak amacıyla öncelikle (I) sosyal medyanın modern çağ ve paradigma içindeki yeri ortaya koyulduktan sonra (II) mekân ve kimlik açısından benzeşim kurulan kavramların (fantazmagori, simülasyon ve flâneur) literal ve kuramsal kullanım biçimleri, tanımları, anlam alanları ve Twitter pratiği ile benzerlikleri ilişkilendirilmektedir. Daha sonra (III) Twitter’ın teknik yapısı mevzu bağlamında ele alınmakta, son kısımda ise (IV) dijital bir mekânda inşa edilen dijital kimliklerin oluşturduğu dilin (söylemin) bazı politik/ideolojik/parodik yönleri tespit edilmekte ve fenomen/ flâneur tipi semiyotik açıdan değerlendirilmektedir. This article aims to structurally analyze Twitter as an interactive, participatory media type that is one of the most effective channels of new media in political/ideological discourse- production, as well as the existential position and situation of its users, through the phenomena of space and identity. Given social media as a practice of individualization/ socialization is an ontologically natural, technically artificial extension of modern life, the article explores its existential effects upon the modern individual; its transformation of the emotional, reflexive, perceptive and behavioral patterns in individual and social life; finally the paradigmatic change behind its undeniable role in the formation of a particular type of human being and civilization that are very different from their precedents in history. To do this, primarily (I) the place of social media within the modern age and paradigm will be elaborated, then (II) literal and theoretical uses, definitions, areas of meaning and similarities with the practice of Twitter of concepts (phantasmagory, flâneur and simulation) that are likened to each other in terms of space and identity are examined. The following section (III) contextually introduces the technical structure of Twitter and the final section (IV) detects certain political/ideological/parodical aspects of the language (discourse) constituted by digital identities in a digital space and reassesses the phenomenon/flâneur type semiotically.

The spread of COVID-19 reached pandemic rates in a few weeks. People have turned to coping and religious coping styles as a result of the psychological effects of COVID- 19. In this context, this study’s primary purpose is to reveal the relationship between fear of COVID-19, resilience, coping, and religious coping. In this article, where the quantitative research method was used, the relational screening design was adopted as the research design. Collected data were analyzed using correlation and structural equation modeling. According to the findings, women, single people, people from low-income families, and people with chronic conditions are more afraid of COVID-19. Also, resilience has been found to play a mediating role in the negative relationship between task-oriented coping and fear of COVID-19. COVID-19’un yayılması birkaç hafta içinde salgın düzeyine ulaştı. İnsanlar COVID- 19›dan psikolojik olarak etkilendikleri için başa çıkma ve dini başa çıkma tarzlarına yöneldi. Bu bağlamda, bu çalışmanın temel amacı COVID-19 korkusu, psikolojik dayanıklılık, başa çıkma ve dini başa çıkma arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymaktır. Nicel araştırma yönteminin tercih edildiği bu makalede, araştırma deseni olarak ilişkisel tarama deseni benimsenmiştir. Toplanan veriler, korelasyon ve yapısal eşitlik modellemesi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgulara göre, kadınlar, bekarlar, düşük gelirli insanlar ve kronik rahatsızlığı olanlar COVID-19’dan daha çok korkmaktadır. Ayrıca, psikolojik dayanıklılığın, çözüm odaklı başa çıkma ile COVID-19 korkusu arasındaki olumsuz ilişkide arabulucu bir rol oynadığı bulunmuştur.

İsnâaşeriyye/İmâmiyye/Câferiyye Mezhebi’nin hadis kitapları ve rivâyet tefsirlerinde âyetleri imamlar, taraftarları ve onların düşmanları sayılan kimselerle ilişkilendirilen birçok rivâyet bulunmaktadır. Modern dönem İsnâaşeriyye müfessirlerinden Muhammed Hüseyin et-Tabâtabâî (1904-1981) rivâyetlerdeki bu irtibâtı, geliştirdiği cery kavramıyla açıklamaktadır. Bu çalışmada onun cery kavramını uygulayarak ortaya koyduğu âyet yorumlarının, âyet-rivâyet uygunluğu açısından analizi ve eleştirisi yapılmıştır. Ayrıca onu bu kavramı, Şiî-usûlî ulûmu’l-Kur’ân’ına üst bir başlık olarak kazandırmaya sevk eden âmiller bulunmaya çalışılmıştır. Buna göre teorik açıdan ilgili kavrama yüklenen anlamın âyet yorumlarına yansımadığı ve bunun arkasında mezhep taassubunun olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Bu tutumuyla onun, İsnâaşeriyye rivâyet edebiyatında önemli bir yekûn tutan söz konusu rivâyetleri muhâfaza etme çabası içine girdiği tespit edilmiştir. Diğer yandan onun, bâtıni anlam ile te’vîl kavramını da bu amaca yönelik düşündüğü fark edilmiştir. There are various narratives that associate the verses with the Imams and the ones considered their supporters and their enemies in the narrative interpretation and hadith books of the Ithna ‘Ashariyyah/Imamiyyah /Jafariyyah sects. Muhammad Husayn Tabâtabâî (1904-1981), the contemporary Ithna ‘Ashariyyah commentator, explains this association in the narratives with the concept of Al-Jary he developed. In this study, the analysis and the critique of the interpretations of the verses he put forward by applying the concept Al-Jary, was made from the perspective of verse-narrative compatibility. Additionally, the factors that impelled him to bring in this concept to the Shi’a-Usuli Qur’anic Sciences were tried to find out. As a result, it was understood that the meaning theoretically assumed to the verses was not reflected to the interpretation of the verses and the drive behind this approach was sectarian fanaticism. It was found out that he sank himself into the effort of preservation of the narratives that constitute an important amount in the Ithna ‘Ashariyyah literature of the narratives. On the other hand, it was noticed that he considered the esoteric (batıni) meaning and the concept of implicity (ta’wil) to support his aim.

Osmanlı Devleti halkın ilim ve irfan yönünden eğitiminde tekkelerin ve şeyhlerin rolünü daha kuruluş aşamasında farketmiştir. Tasavvuf ehli de devletin kendilerinden beklediği rolü ifa etmişlerdir. Bu anlamda Osman Gazi ile Şeyh Edebâli arasındaki birliktelik daha sonraki padişahlar zamanında da devam etmiştir. Bu birliktelik, tekkeleri halk ile devleti birbirine raptedecek temel kurumlardan biri haline getirmiştir. Bundan dolayı devlet, mürîdlerin rûhî eğitimlerinin yapıldığı tekkelerin toplum yararına olan sosyal fonksiyonlarını da yerine getirmeleri için şeyhlere her türlü imkânı vermiştir. Tekkeler bu imkânları hem insanların ilim ve irfan eğitiminde hem de toplum yararına olan sosyal faaliyetlerde kullanmışlardır. Tekkeler ile ilgili araştırmalarda onların sosyal fonksiyonlarına ana hatlarıyla temas edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte, bu konuda belgelere yeterince bakıldığı söylenemez. Oysa Osmanlı’da çok faal bir kurum olan tekkenin bu yönünün de belgelere dayalı olarak ortaya konulması gerekir. Çünkü Osmanlı Arşivi’nde son yıllarda tasnif edilen belgelerin sayısı artmıştır. Dolayısıyla tekkelerin bu yönünü ortaya çıkaran yeni verilere ulaşılmaktadır. Bu makalede, tekkelerin bu yönde üstlendiği role kısaca değinildikten sonra arşiv belgelerinden örnekler verilmek suretiyle Osmanlı Devleti’nin bu köklü kuruma bakışı ve sosyal fonksiyonları bakımından tekkelerin Osmanlı Devleti’ndeki yeri ortaya konulacaktır. The Ottoman Empire realized the role of the dervish lodges in the education of the people in terms of knowledge and wisdom since its very first establishment stages. Sûfîs also performed the role expected by the state. In this sense, this unity between Osman Gazi and Sheikh Edebâli continued during the later sultans. This unity has made the dervish lodges one the basic institutions that connect the people and the state. Therefore, the dervish lodges gave all kinds of opportunities to the sheikhs to perform their social functions fort he benefit of the society, as well as the spiritual edecation of the disciples. The dervish lodges also used these opportunities for both basic tasks. In the studies on dervish lodges their social functions have been outlined. However, it cannot be said that the documents on this subject have been examined adequately. This aspect of the dervish lodges that were effective in the Ottoman State should be revealed by looking at the documents. Because, the number of documents classified in the Ottoman Archive ha increased in recent years. Therefore, new data revealing various aspects of dervish lodges are reached. In this article, after mentioning the role of the dervish lodges throughout the history of Islam, it will be given examples from archive documents, and will be revealed the Ottoman Empire’s view of this deep-rooted institution and its place in terms of its social functions.

Bu araştırmada Türkiye’de reyting sıralamasında önde olan Atv, Fox, Kanal D, Kanal 7, Show, Star ve TRT 1’de 1990’lı yıllardan 2020 yılına kadar yayınlanan dizi adlarından seçkisiz örneklem şeklinde oluşturulan verideki kelimeleri köken bakımından sınıflandırmak suretiyle Türkçenin hangi dil ile ne ölçüde etkileşim hâlinde olduğunun tespiti amaçlanmış ve ulaşılan sonuçlar, Türk dil/kültür tarihi ile uygunluğu bakımından değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri için ilgili kanalların internet sitelerinden derlenen 576 dizi adındaki kelimeler, örnek durum çalışması tekniği ile incelenmiş ve içerik analizi yapılarak deşifre edilen veriler çeşitli tasniflerle değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçta TV dizi adlarındaki kelimelerin %55’inin Türkçe, %31’inin Arapça, %8’inin Farsça, %4.5’inin batı kökenli ve %2’sinin de kökeninin belirsiz olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Dolayısıyla dizi adlarında Türkçe açısından betimlenen durumun Türk dil/kültür tarihi ile bağının günümüzde de kuvvetli olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. In this study, in order to classify the words in the data formed as a random sample of the series names from the 1990s to 2020 in Atv, Fox, Kanal D, Kanal 7, Show, Star and TRT 1, which are at the top of the rating order in Turkey, to classify the words in terms of origin and It was aimed to determine the extent of interaction with the language and the results obtained were examined in terms of their compatibility with the Turkish language / cultural history. The words in 576 series, which were compiled from the websites of the relevant channels for the research data, were analyzed with the case study technique and the data deciphered by content analysis was evaluated with various classifications. As a result, it has been determined that 55% of the words in TV series names are Turkish, 31% Arabic, 8% Persian, 4.5% Western and 2% uncertain origin. Therefore, it is possible to say that the situation described in terms of Turkish in the series titles and the Turkish language / cultural history is still strong today.

The aim of the study is to address Turkish Foreign Policy against developments in the Far East and mainly in Japan during the inter-war period and analyze how Turkey assessed the events. The process, which started as Sino-Soviet Conflict in 1929 but later turned into Japan-China Issue, from Turkey’s perspective during the period until the Second World War is examined.The research questions included how and with which reasons Turkey followed the developments after Japanese invasion of Manchuria in terms of world politics and international law and whether this process affected Turkey’s bilateral relations with China and Japan. In this sense, it is analyzed that Japan-centered conflict in the Far East and Japan’s expansionism in terms of Turkey during a period when the World was rapidly driven into a new war. The study was assessed using documentary literature survey in accordance with archive documents, periodicals, and other studies.

Bu durumdan yararlanan Osmanlı Hükümeti Haziran 1723’te İran seferini başlatarak üç koldan Safevi topraklarına girdi. Yapılan fetihlerle birlikte Haziran 1735’e kadar İran sahasında kaldılar. Osmanlı yönetimi İran’da fethettiği yerleri zaman kaybetmeden kendi idari sistemine dâhil etmek için çalışmalar yapmıştır. Bu makalede; XVIII. yüzyılın ilk yarısında İran’da Osmanlı kaza idaresinin kurulma çalışmaları, kazaların statüleri, sistem tesis edilirken ortaya çıkan aksaklıklar, bunlara karşı alınan tedbirler ve kurulan kazalara yapılan tevcih işlemleri ele alınacaktır. From the beginning of the 18th century, riots initiated by groups that were dissatisfied with the Safavid dynasty caused the Iran’s geography to become unstable. The Ottoman Government, who benefited from this situation, started the Iran expedition in June 1723 and entered Safavid territory from three sides. With the conquests, the Ottomans remained in the Iranian area until June 1735. The Ottoman administration made an endeavour to incorporate the places conquered in Iran into its administrative system without delay. In this article, the establishment of the Ottoman district administration in Iran in the first half of the XVIII. century, the status of districts, problems that occurred during the establishment of the system as well as the measures taken in this regard and the procedures for assignments to the districts established in Iran will be discussed.

Payitaht içinde Beyoğlu’nu diğer idari bölgelerinden ayıran, özellikle 19.yüzyılın ikinci yarısında tebarüz eden, kendine has özellikleri vardır. Burası çeşitli devletlere ait sefaretlerin bulunduğu merkezdir. Paranın tedavül miktarı ve hızının hayli yüksek olduğu sarrafları, bankerleri ve tüccarlarıyla bir ticaret merkezi olan kadim Galata buradadır. Birçok milletten yabancının, levantenin, Osmanlı tebaası gayrimüslim nüfusun yoğunlaştığı, çalışıp ikamet ettiği çok kültürlü yapısıyla öne çıkan bir bölgedir. Ayrıca bu dönemde başkentte güvenlik sorununun en yoğun yaşandığı, nitelik ve nicelik bakımından suçların en fazla kayda geçtiği yerdir. Beyoğlu’nu farklı kılan bütün bu özellikler nedeniyle burada görevlendirilecek mülkî amirler ve memurlar hassasiyetle seçilmiştir. Bu anlamda muavin, vekâleten ve asaleten olmak üzere dokuz yılı bulan uzunca bir süre burada görev yapmış olan Bahri Paşa Saray ve Bâbıâli nezdinde başarılı bir idarecidir. Nitekim farklı yıllarda değişik derecelerde nişanlarla taltif edilmiştir. Ancak Beyoğlu mutasarrıfı Bahri Paşa’nın bulunduğu mevki nedeniyle dostu olduğu kadar düşmanı da çoktur. Burada en yüksek mülki amir iken zor günler geçirmesine neden olan kalpazanlıkla itham edilmiştir. Azledilerek tutuklanmış ve yargılanmıştır. Azil şekli ve tutuklanması, aleyhinde yapılan sevinç gösterileri gibi meydana gelen olaylar Sultan Abdülhamid’in tepkisine neden olmuştur. Bu süreçte yaşananlar iktidar çevresinde ve kamuoyu nezdinde etkili, nüfuz sahibi bazı güç odaklarının varlığına işaret etmektedir. It had its own characteristics that distinguished Beyoğlu from other administrative districts in Payitaht, especially in the second half of the 19th century. This was the center where various states’ embassies were located. The ancient Galata which was a trade center with sarrafs, bankers and traders was here. The amount, circulation speed of money was quite high here. It was a region that stands out with its multicultural structure where foreigners, Levantines and non-Muslim population were concentrated, work and reside. Beyoğlu was also the place where the security problems were experienced most in the capital in this period and crimes were recorded most in terms of various and quantity. Because of all these features that make Beyoğlu different, the officers to be assigned here were been selected with great care. In this sense, Bahri Pasha, who has served here for a long period of nine years, in various positions, was a successful manager. As a matter of fact, he was awarded with different degrees of medals in different years. However, Bahri Pasha had a lot of enemies as well as his friends because of his duty. Here he was accused of counterfeiting, which led him to have hard times while he was a manager. He was dismissed, arrested and tried. The events that took place in this process caused the reaction of Sultan Abdulhamid. What happened to Bahri Pasha is pointing out the existence of some power centers that were influential around the government and the public.

Hannah Arendt’e göre 20. yüzyılın en önemli kavramlarından biri olan şiddet, özellikle araçsal özelliğiyle totaliter rejimlerin, toplumu tasarımlamak için en sık başvurduğu yöntemlerden biri olmuştur. Toplumun sıradan fertlerinin şiddet uygulayıcıları haline gelmeleri ve yaptıkları eylemler hakkında hiçbir fikre sahip olmamalarını ise Arendt, “kötülüğün sıradanlığı” olarak tarif etmiştir. Şiddet sadece totaliter hareketler bağlamında değil, günümüz insan ilişkilerinde de sıkça başvurulan bir araç haline gelmiştir. Bu çalışmada Hasan Ali Toptaş’ın Beni Kör Kuyularda romanı şiddet ve kötülüğün sıradanlığı açısından ele alınacak ve romanda şiddet ve kötülüğün sıradanlığı ile köyden kente göç edince geleneksel insan ilişkilerini terk eden fakat gerekli düşünselliğe sahip olmadığı için sorunlu bir bireysellik geliştiren, kentlileşmeye çalışan bu yeni insan tipi arasındaki ilgi incelenecektir. According to Hannah Arendt, one of the most important concepts of the 20th century is violence, which with its instrumental feature, has been among the most used methods by the totalitarian regimes in designing society. In her thesis “The banality of Evil”, Arendt describes the ordinary members of the society as violent practitioners who have no idea what they do. Violence is not only about totalitarian movements, but it is also a tool frequently used in human relations today. Based on the novel, this research examines the violence and “The banality of Evil” relationship, in regards to the “new type of people” who migrate from the village to the city, trying to urbanise themselves, by abandoning traditional human relationships, but instead, develop a problematic individuality because they do not have the necessary mentality for it.

Eski Uygurlar Manihaizm dinini öğrendikleri halk olan Soğdlardan pek çok yönden etkilenmişlerdir. Manihaist Soğdlu rahiplerden öğrendikleri Mani yazısı da bu etkileşim unsurlarından bir tanesidir. Manihaist Uygurlar özellikle dinî metinlerde tıpkı diğer Manihaist topluluklar gibi Mani yazısını yaygın olarak kullanmışlardır. Turfan yazmaları arasında Eski Uygurca ve Soğdcanın yanı sıra Partça, Orta Farsça gibi diğer bazı Orta İran dillerinde de Mani yazısıyla yazılmış metinler mevcuttur. Bu çalışmada, Mani yazısının temel yirmi üç harfi içinde yer almayan, diğer harflerden ikincil olarak geliştirilen ötümsüz, sızıcı, küçük dil ünsüzü ḫ (x veya χ); ötümsüz, sızıcı, diş dudaksıl f ve ötümlü, sızıcı, diş dudaksıl v (β) seslerini gösteren yazı işaretlerinin Manihaist Eski Uygur ve Soğdca, Partça ile Orta Farsça metinlerdeki yazım özellikleri incelenmiş; tespit edilen örnekler karşılaştırmalı olarak sunulmuştur. Ayrıca, Mani yazısı, yazının tarihî gelişimi ve yazıyı kullanan halklardan kısaca bahsedilmiştir. Old Uygurs had a significant influence on many aspects of Sogdian people, and they also learned Manichaeism from them. One of the important interaction elements between these people is the Manichean script, which was taught by Manichean Sogdian monks to Old Uyghurs. Manichean Uyghurs used Manichean script for their religious texts, just like the other Manichean communities. In Addition to Old Uyghur and Sogdian, there are many texts in the Manichean script which were written in Parthian, Middle Persian, and some other Middle Iranian Languages in Turfan region. In this study, the writing features of the letters for the consonants voiceless, fricative, uvular ḫ (x or χ); voiceless, fricative, labiodental “f” and voiced, fricative, labiodental “v” (β), which were developed secondary to other letters, were examined; moreover, the determined samples were presented comparatively. While we were giving this, we also briefly mentioned the Manichean script, and the historical development of the writing, and the people who used it.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, Erkeksi Davranış Ölçeği’nin (EDÖ) üniversite öğrencilerinde geçerlik ve güvenirliğini sınamak ve bunun yanında, ölçeğin psikometrik özelliklerini incelemektir. Araştırmada çalışma grubunu yaşları 18 ile 41 arasında olan toplamda 602 üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Açıklayıcı Faktör Analizi sonuçlarına göre Erkeksi Davranış Ölçeği’nin Türkçe formunun orijinal halindeki gibi dört boyuta sahip olduğu ve bu modelin ölçtüğü özellikle ilgili toplam varyansın %56.50’sini açıkladığı anlaşılmıştır. Doğrulayıcı Faktör Analizi sonucu ölçeğin uyum iyiliği değerleri χ²/sd=2.56, RMSEA=. 072, CFI=.92, GFI=.90, IFI=.92, NNFI=.90 ve SRMR=.072 şeklinde hesaplanmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra, madde faktör yükleri .40 ile .77 arasında sıralanmaktadır. Ölçüt bağıntılı geçerlik çalışmasında Erkeksi Davranış Ölçeği ile Bem Cinsiyet Rolleri Ölçeği arasında pozitif ilişkiler saptanmıştır. Cronbach alfa iç tutarlık katsayısı Başarıya Adanma alt boyutu için α=.84; Kısıtlı Duygusallık alt boyutu için α=.77; Kısıtlanmış Sevgi alt boyutu için α=.80; Abartılı Özgüven ve Kontrol alt boyutu için α=.73 ve ölçeğin bütünü için α=.81 olarak tespit edilmiştir. Düzeltilmiş madde toplam korelasyon katsayıları .41 ile .68 arasında değişiklik göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak, Erkeksi Davranış Ölçeği’nin yetişkin Türklerde kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu anlaşılmıştır. The aim of the current study is to test the reliability and validity of the Masculine Behavior Scale (MBS) with Turkish university students and to check out its psychometric values. The participants were selected among a total of 602 university students aged from 18 to 41. In Explanatory Factor Analysis, it was revealed that the Turkish form of Masculine Behavior Scale had four-dimensions like the original instrument and this model explained 56.50% of total variance related to the attribute it measured. In Confirmatory Factor Analysis, fit index values were calculated as χ²/df=2.56, RMSEA=.072, CFI=.92, GFI=.90, IFI=.92, NNFI=.90, and SRMR=.072. Additionally, factor loadings lined up between .40 and .77. In the concurrent validity, Masculine Behavior Scale had positive significant relationships with Bem Sex Roles Inventory. Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficient was attained as α=.84 for Success Dedication subscale, α=.77 for Restrictive Emotionality subscale, α=.80 for Inhibited Affection subscale, α=.73 for Exaggerated Self-reliance subscale, α=.81 for whole scale. Corrected item-total correlations lined up between .41 and .68. In conclusion, these findings indicated that Masculine Behavior Scale could be used with Turkish adults as a valid and reliable assessment instrument.

Söz konusu dönüşümlerin coğrafyaya, tarihsel döneme, belli inanç faktörlerine, siyasal iklime, iktidar ilişkilerine vb. göre farklılıklar gösterdiği söylenebilir. Bu makalede bir mesele olarak “kutsal mekânın dönüşümü” ve İstanbul özelinde kiliseden camiye dönüşüm irdelenecektir. Zeyrek Camii (Pantakrator Kilisesi/Manastırı) gibi bazı dönüşümlere ayrıca değinilecektir. İstanbul’daki dönüşümler literatürde farklı sayı ve isimlerde yer almaktadır. Makalede bu literatürün biraraya getirilmesi, bazı tashihler yapılması ve toparlanması amaçlanmaktadır. Bugün İstanbul’da ismi bilinen, halen ayakta veya kaybolmuş olsa da konumları tahmin edilen kırk adet kiliseden çevrilme cami bulunmaktadır. The transformation of “sacred” places where the rituals of worship belonging to one religion/faith are used to be performed collectively in order for the use of rituals belonging to another religious/faith is frequently encountered throughout history. It can be said that these transformations vary according to geography, historical period, certain belief factors, political climate, power relations, and etc. This article will discuss the “transformation of a sacred place” as an issue in general and the transformation of a church into a mosque in Istanbul in particular. Some transformations, such as the Zeyrek Mosque (the Church of the Monastery of Christ Pantokrator), will be discussed separately. Such transformations in Istanbul are cited in different numbers and names in literature. In this article, it is aimed to combine this literature, making some revisions and collecting together. Today, there are forty mosques in Istanbul, which have been converted from churches whose names are known, some of which are still surviving while others are lost but with the predicted locations. The main argument of the article is that the action of transforming from church into mosque cannot be explained solely grounded upon a holistic or single cause, and that each situation/single example contains differences. Churches have been transformed into mosques for reasons such as a symbol of conquering a non-Muslim country, re-establishing the divine order, or re-use of ruined structures due to the needs emerging depending on the demographic changes.

Yirminci yüzyılda çocuk önemli bir muhatap haline gelmiştir. Çocuk Eğitimi, Çocuk Psikolojisi ve Çocuk Edebiyatı başta olmak üzere doğrudan çocuklara yönelen disiplinler oluşmuştur. Türkiye’de çocuklara yönelik dinî yayınlar 2000’li yıllardan sonra artış kaydetmiştir. Çocuklar için Siyer, Hadis, Akaid, Peygamber kıssaları ve İlmihal bilgileriyle ilgili çeşitli kitaplar kaleme alınmıştır. Tefsir sahasında ise çocuklar için yazılmış eser sayısı yok denecek kadar azdır. Bunun sebeplerinden birisi tefsir akademisinin çocuklara yönelik tefsir yazımına henüz eğilmemesidir. Bir başka sebep tefsirin daha ziyade yetişkinlere yönelik bir ilim olarak algılanmasıdır. İşte biz bu makalede çocuklar için yazılacak tefsirin özelliklerini belirtmeye ve örnek kabilinden İhlâs sûresi’nin tefsirini ele almaya çalıştık. Bu vesileyle çocuklar için tefsir yazmanın gereğine dikkatleri çekmek istedik. In the twentieth century, the child has become an important interlocutor. Disciplines aimed directly at children especially Child Education, Child Psychology and Child Literature were formed. Religious publications for children in Turkey has increased after the 2000s. Various books have been written for children about Siyar, Hadith, Aqaid, Stories of the Prophet and Catechism. In the field of commentary, there are almost no works written for children. One of the reasons for this is that the academy of commentary does not yet lean towards the writing of commentary for children. Another reason is that commentary is perceived as a science for adults. In this article, we tried to state the features of the commentary to be written for children and to deal with the interpretation of the Surah al-Ihlas as an example. On this occasion, we wanted to draw attention to the need to write exegesis for children.

19. yüzyılın sonlarında İstanbul’da bilimsel ve modern usullere göre faaliyet gösterecek bir mezbaha ihtiyacı had safhaya ulaşmış ve bu ihtiyaç birçok kurum tarafından dile getirilmiştir. Şehrin muhtelif yerlerinde mezbahalar bulunmasına rağmen sıhhi ve bilimsel kurallara riayet edilmemesi, kesim öncesi hayvanların ve sonrasında da etlerin kontrollerinin yeterince yapılamaması halkın sağlığını tehdit etmekteydi. Öte yandan mezbahaların tam olarak gereğince vergilendirilememesi nedeniyle devletin gelir kaybı da söz konusuydu. Bunun yanı sıra Şehremaneti tarafından mevcut haliyle mezbahaların ve hayvan satış mahallerinin ihtikâra, dolayısıyla et fiyatının makul bir sebep olmaksızın ciddi şekilde artmasına neden olduğu iddia ediliyordu. Şehremaneti, mezbahaların ıslah edilmesinin çok zor olduğu düşüncesiyle tüm İstanbul halkına hitap edecek sıhhi, bilimsel ve modern özellikleri içeren umûmi bir mezbaha ve hayvan pazarının kurulması amacıyla 1911 yılında bir proje ihalesi açmıştır. İhtiyaçları karşılayabilecek en uygun projeyi belirleyebilmek amacıyla bir komisyon teşkil edilmiş ve kazanan proje sahibine müesseseyi kurması karşılığında işletmesi için kırk yıllığına imtiyaz tahsis edilmesi, bununla birlikte mezbaha ve hayvan pazarı gelirlerinden Şehremanetine de belirli bir pay ayrılması kararlaştırılmıştır. Makale, Osmanlı arşiv belgeleri üzerinden söz konusu mezbaha ve hayvan pazarı tesisi kurma çabalarını ele almaktadır. Böyle bir tesis ihtiyacının ortaya çıkış nedenleri, ihaleyle ilgili hazırlanan raporlar, ihaleye karşı gösterilen tepkiler, devlet kurumlarının ve sektör temsilcilerinin meseleye yaklaşımı birinci el kaynaklardan faydalanarak ortaya koyulmaya çalışılmıştır. In Istanbul, the need for a slaughterhouse operating under scientific and modern methods reached its peak toward the end of the 19th century, leading numerous institutions to address such demand. Although there were already established slaughterhouses in various locations of the city at the time, the public health was in jeopardy as medical and scientific principles were not followed, and no pre or post-slaughter inspections of animals were carried out. Moreover, these slaughterhouses were not subject to appropriate taxes, resulting in government revenue loss. Furthermore, the “Şehremaneti” (Municipality) claimed that the slaughterhouses and livestock markets in their current form were generating unfair profits, causing the meat prices to spike without any precedence. Considering the reformation of current slaughterhouses a grueling task, the Şehremaneti launched a tender in 1911 for the construction of a public slaughterhouse and livestock market equipped with all the medical, scientific, and modern standards for use of all the inhabitants of Istanbul. A commission was appointed to determine the most suitable project and it was decided to grant the operating rights of the establishment for 40 years to the winning project in return for the construction of such establishment, as well as to allocate a certain share to the Şehremaneti from the revenues of the slaughterhouse and the livestock market. The present paper examines the efforts undertaken to build a slaughterhouse and a livestock market using Ottoman archival documents. The causes of the demand for such an establishment, the reports on the tender process, the reactions against the tender, and government institutions and industry leaders’ approach on the issue were identified through first-hand sources.

Bu durum, Fatih’in İstanbul’un yeniden yapılanmasını vakıflar üzerinden planladığının göstergesidir. Fatih kendi kurduğu Fatih Külliyesi ve Ayasofya-i Kebir Vakfı’yla Fatih, Ayasofya ve Vefa nahiyelerinin bizatihi kurucusu olmuş, vakfın hayır müesseseleri bu nahiyelerin merkezini teşkil etmiştir. Sur dışında Eyüp Sultan Vakfı’yla da Eyüp Sultan semtinin kurucusu olmuştur. Fatih beylerine, paşalarına emir ve izin vererek her birinin İstanbul’un bir yerini belirleyip orada kendi adlarıyla vakıflarını ve mahallelerini kurmalarını teşvik etmiştir. Kurulan vakıf müesseseleri nahiye ve mahallelerin her tür sosyal hizmetlerini görecek şekilde planlanmıştır. Bu faaliyetler neticesinde ve kurulan vakıf müesseseleri sayesinde İstanbul ilim, irfan, kültür, sanat, inanç, sağlık, sosyal dayanışma ve yardımlaşma ve şehircilik alanlarında İslam medeniyetinin en önemli şehirlerinden biri haline gelmiştir. Çalışmamızda, Fatih Sultan Mehmed’in kurduğu Fatih Külliyesi ve Ayasofya-i Kebir Vakfı’na ait Türk ve İslam Eserleri Müzesi’nde 2202 numarayla kayıtlı vakfiye esas alınarak vakfın kurmuş olduğu hayır müesseseleri, bu müesseselerin görevlileri, ücretleri, yapacakları hizmetler, vakfın idamesini sağlayacak akarlar ve vakfın yönetimi ele alınmakta, vakfın yapmış olduğu bu hizmetlerin sosyal politika açısından değerlendirmesi yapılmaktadır. Fatih began to quickly restructure Istanbul with the conquest. Istanbul is divided into administrative units in the form of sub-districts and neighborhoods below them. Almost all of these districts and neighborhoods are shaped around foundation’s established. This indication shows us that Fatih planned the reconstruction of Istanbul through foundations. Fatih Social Complex and Hagia Sophia Foundation were established by Fatih, and Fatih became the founder of the Fatih, Hagia Sophia and Vefa sub-districts, and the charities of the foundation constituted the center of these sub-districts. He also became the founder of the Eyup Sultan district with the Eyub Sultan Foundation. He encouraged his lords and generals to establish their foundations, and allow each of them to determine the location. In those foundations were planned to see all kinds of social services of townships and neighborhoods. As a result of these activities and the foundation institutions, Istanbul has become one of the most important cities in Islamic civilization in terms of science, knowledge, culture, art, belief, health, social solidarity and urbanism. In this study it is based on the Fatih Social Complex and Hagia Sophia Foundation which established by Fatih. Organization of the foundation, and charitable institutions which established by the foundation, and their workers, the wages of workers, services of the institutions, income of the foundation, and management of the foundation are examined. In addition these, the serves of the foundation are reviewed in terms of social policy.

Batı ile Doğu medeniyeti arasındaki diyaloji ile şekillenen oryantalizm, Batı’nın Doğu’yu alımlama biçimlerine dayanan Batı odaklı epistemolojik bir yaklaşımdır. Yüzyıllar boyunca kurumsal bir bilgi alanı olarak dikkat çeken oryantalizmin, Edward W. Said’in 1978 yılında yayımladığı Şarkiyatçılık Batı’nın Şark Anlayışları adlı kitabı ile kurumsal bir alan olmaktan çıkıp kurgusal bir atmosferde metinler aracılığıyla şekillenen kuramsal bir söylem biçimine dönüştüğü görülür. Michel Foucault’nun bilginin nesnel değil üretilebilir bir olgu olduğu ve iktidarla yakın bir ilişki içinde bulunduğu felsefesinden yola çıkan Said, Batı’nın salt emperyalist edimine odaklı oryantalist yaklaşımını yapı sökümüne uğratır. Said’i kendisinden önceki oryantalistlerden farklı kılan, benimsediği hümanist dünya görüşünün etkisiyle Batı ile Doğu’yu birbiri için gerekli kılarak oryantalizmin tıpkı bir anlatı gibi kurgusal bir düzlemde anlatının bir parçası olarak şekillenen bir söylem olduğunu savunmasıdır. Bu çalışmada günümüz Türk edebiyatının öne çıkan yazarlarından biri olan Murat Gülsoy’un (1967) Gölgeler ve Hayaller Şehrinde (2014) adlı romanı kuramsal bir analize tabi tutulacak ve oryantalizm bağlamında yazarın postmodern anlatı geleneği içerisindeki konumu belirlenecektir. Orientalism, shaped by the dialogue between the West and the Eastern civilization, is a Western-oriented epistemological approach based on the forms of the West’s uptake of the East. It is seen that orientalism, which has attracted attention as an institutional field of information for centuries, has turned into a form of theoretical discourse formed by texts in a fictional atmosphere rather than being an institutional field with the book of Orientalism Western Conceptions of the Orient of Edward W. Said published in 1978. Said, based on the philosophy of Michel Foucault, that knowledge is not an objective but producible phenomenon and that it has a close relationship with power, deconstructs the orientalist approach of the West, which is focused solely on its imperialist performance. What makes Said different from the previous orientalists is that he defends that orientalism is a discourse formed as a part of the narrative in a fictional plane, just like a narrative, by making the West and the East necessary for each other with the effect of the humanist worldview he adopted. In this study, the novel called Gölgeler ve Hayaller Şehrinde (2014) of Murat Gülsoy (1967), one of the prominent writers of today’s Turkish literature, will be subjected to a theoretical analysis and in the context of orientalism, the position of the author in the postmodern narrative tradition will be determined.

Menbaʻu’l-Ebhâr, Arapça ve Farsça’nın Türkçe sözdizimine dahil edilmesi yönüyle karma dilli, Doğu ve Batı Türkçesi’nin karışımı olması bakımından karışık dilli; yani karma ve karışık dillidir1. Büyük bir âlim ve mutasavvıf oluşu yanında kalemini nazım ve nesir türünde aynı güçle oynatabilen usta bir edebiyatçı, her türlü edebî sanatı kullanmakta son derece yetkin divan sahibi bir şair olan Hazînî2, Menbaʻu’l-Ebhâr’daki manzum parçaları çoğunlukla mesnevi nazım biçimiyle yazmıştır. Hazînî, bunun yanı sıra bir Farsça şiirinde kıta; on iki şiirinde de gazel nazım biçimini tercih etmiştir. On iki şiirden sekizi Farsça; dördü Türkçe’dir. İşte, içinde yüksek edebî değer taşıyan nazım ve secili nesir parçaları bulunması açısından önemli bir edebiyat metni de olan Menbaʻu’l-Ebhâr’ın gazel formunda yazılmış dört Türkçe manzumesi, bu yazının ana malzemesini oluşturmaktadır. Öncelikle gazeller şekil (vezin ve kafiye) açısından incelenecek; sonrasında Türkiye Türkçesi’ne aktarılarak bu şiirlerdeki söz ve anlam sanatları tespit edilecektir. Menbaʻu’l-Ebhâr has mixed-language because Arabic and Persian is included in Turkish syntax. Also Menbaʻu’l-Ebhâr has complicated-language in terms of being a mixture of Eastern and Western Turkish. So it has mixed and complicated-language. Hazînî was a great scholar and sufi; and he was a master of literature that could write with the same power in verse and prose. Hazînî was a poet with “divan” who has highly competent in using all kinds of literary art and he wrote the verse pieces in Menbaʻu’l-Ebhâr mostly in mathnawi. On the other hand Hazînî has used stanza in one Persian poem and he has preferred ghazal in his twelve poems. Eight of these twelve poems were written in Persian. The rest of poems were written in Turkish. These four Turkish ghazals in Menbaʻu’l-Ebhâr which is an important literary text in terms of verse and selected prose pieces with high literary value, are the main material of this article. Firstly, these four ghazals will be examined in terms of shape (meter and rhyme). After that, poems will be translated into Turkish and figure of speech and literary arts in these poems will be determined.

Bu çalışmada, Kur’ân’da muhtelif bağlamlarda farklı anlam örgüleri içinde kullanılan “rics” kavramı üzerinde durulmaktadır. Sözlüklerde rics; pis, pislik, kötü iş, işkence, ceza, şüphe, gibi anlamları yanında ayrıca şirk, günah, azap, azaba götüren iş, öfke, vesvese gibi manalarda da kullanılmaktadır. Kumar oynamak, alkollü içki içmek, putlara tapmak, fal ile uğraşmak, ölü eti/leş, akmış kan ve domuz eti yemek gibi insana maddî ve mânevî zarar vererek onun hem fıtratını bozacak hem de iki cihan saadetini engelleyecek olan çirkin eylemler de Kur’ân’a göre “rics”tir. Kur’ân-ı Kerîm, münafıkları, kalplerinde hastalık olanları ve kâfirleri bozuk inançları sebebiyle “rics” olarak nitelediği gibi aşağılanmayı hak etmiş kişiler ve tiksinti uyandıran durumları da “rics” olarak tavsif etmektedir. “Rics” kavramı; burada kullanım şekilleri, anlamları, nüzul sebepleri ve ayetlerin muhatapları bakımından incelenmekte; barındırdığı manaları daha iyi anlamak açısından muhtelif tasnifler altında irdelenmektedir. This study further elaborate the concept of “rijs” in different meanings within various aspects in the Qur’ān. Rijs; literary means dirtiness, abomination, nasty occupation, torture, punishment and doubt, besides, such meanings as polytheism, sin, punishment, an act that cause punishment, wrath and apprehension. In addition, nasty acts that cause both changing human’s nature and preventing the happiness of the world and the hereafter by damaging physically and spiritually is called “rijs” according to the Qur’ān, such as gambling, taking intoxicants, worshipping idolatry, playing fortune games, eating dead meat/ carrion, blood and pork. While the Qur’ān has described hypocrites, one in whose heart is a disease and those who reject Faith as “rijs” because of their wrong believes, also has qualified those who deserve to be insulted and abominable cases as “rijs”. In this article, the concept of “rijs” has been studied in respect to formal conceptual usage, meanings, conditions-reasons, and the addressee; and has been scrutinized beneath various classification in terms of comprehending more its meanings.

Tefsirler, hadis şerhleri, fıkhî meselelere yaklaşım ve sûfî metinler ortaya çıktığı yüzyılın kabul görmüş bilimsel verilerinin tesirinden uzak görülemez. 19. yüzyıl sonu ve 20. yüzyıl başlarında İstanbul’da yaşamını sürdürmüş olan Ahmed Avni Konuk, yaşadığı dönemin bilimsel verilerinden uzak kalmayarak tasavvufî meseleleri bilimsel verilerle aynı metinde buluşturan mütefekkirlerdendir. Öyle ki 13. yüzyılda telif edilmiş bir eserin 20. yüzyıla kadarki şerhlerine bakarak, şerh edildiği yüzyılın bilimsel verilerini, kültürünü, kozmolojisini ve modern bilimin verilerini tespit etmek mümkün olduğu gibi, şerh edilen metinlerde bilimsel bilginin değişim, dönüşüm ve gelişimini takip etmek de mümkün görünmektedir. İslam düşünce geleneğinde etkili ve yaygın bir yere sahip olan Mesnevî, Füsûsu’l-Hikem ve Tedbîrât-ı İlâhiyye gibi klasik eserlerin ilgili konularını yer yer, modern bilimin verileri ile şerh etmekten imtina etmeyen Ahmed Avni Konuk, yaşadığı yüzyılın bilimsel gelişmelerini yakından takip etmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Mesnevî-i Şerîf Şerhi üzerinden sûfî-şârihin yaşadığı yüzyıldaki bilimsel veriler ile olan güçlü bağına işâret etmek amaçlanmıştır. The works had been written, are not independent from the accepted scientific parameters in the era of the writers lived. Thus, to understand a text, as much as the social, economic, political, geographical situation, it’s essential to know about scientific developments in the writer’s century. This practise applies for the religious texts, too. Interpretations, hadith explanation, Islamic law methodology and Sufism texts cannot be considered as out of the influence of well accepted scientific findings in related century. Ahmed Avni Konuk, lived in Istanbul between the end of the 19th and early of 20th century, is one of the thinkers who brings together Sufism topics and scientific data in same text by not keeping himself away from scientific findings in his era. In fact, by looking the Interpretations done by 20th century of a work that written in 13th century, scientific data, culture, cosmology and modern science data of the time that interpretations written, can be determined. Also keeping track of alteration, transformation and evolution of the scientific knowledge is possible in the text of interpretations. Concerned topics of Masnavi, Fusus al-Hikam and At-Tadbidrat al-ilahiyyah expounded by Ahmed Avni Konuk, who hasn’t abstained to have scientific data in his Interpretations of works which are influential and extensive in Islamic thinking tradition, he kept up with scientific development of the century he lived in. In this study it is aimed to point out the strong relation of Sufi expounder and scientific data in the era he lived, based on Masnavi Interpretation.

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’deki Suriyelilerin Avrupa’ya göç deneyimlerine göçmen kaçakçılığı üzerinden odaklanılmaktadır. Göçmen kaçakçılarının ve kaçak göçmenlerin nasıl bir toplumsal profile sahip olduğu, Türkiye’nin sınır bölgelerinde kaçak göçler için ne tür bir mekânsal kurgunun oluşturulduğu, göçmen kaçakçılarının kaçak göçmenlere bakış açısının ne yönde olduğu, göçmen kaçakçılığının nasıl bir değişmeyen yüzü ortaya çıkardığı, göçmen kaçakçılığının kendi içinde nasıl bir iktidar mücadelesi, direniş ve yeniden tahakkümü barındırdığı ve göçmen kimliğinin anlaşılmasında sembollerin ve toplumsal hafıza mekânlarının nasıl bir rol ve işleve sahip olduğu, bu çalışmanın temel sorunsalını oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada, “Daha” filmi üzerinden göçmen kaçakçılığı sosyolojik açıdan incelenmiş ve bu inceleme sonucunda birtakım sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır. Göçmen kaçakçılarının kaçak göçmenler üzerinden para kazanan ve onlara şiddet uygulayan, kadınlara tecavüz eden, onları fuhuşa sürükleyen, hastaları ve çocukları ölüme terk eden kişiler olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Türkiye’nin sınır bölgesinde Kandalı olarak bilinen bir mekânın kurgulandığı, bu mekânda kaçak göçmenlerin depoya hapsedildiği ve onlara her türlü insan onuruyla örtüşmeyen muameleler yapıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Kaçak göçmenlerin kaldıkları deponun duvarlarına çeşitli sembolleri kazıdıkları, bu sembollerin depoyu bir toplumsal hafıza mekânına dönüştürdüğü ve göçmenlerin umutlarını, arzularını, dileklerini, beklentilerini, özgürlüklerini, kurtuluşlarını temsil ettiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Neticede, kaçak göçmenlerin yaşadıkları sorunlara rağmen hedef ülkeye varmak için mücadelelerini sürdürdükleri anlaşılmıştır. This study focuses on the migration experiences of Syrians in Turkey to Europe through migrant smuggling. A social profile of migrant smugglers and illegal immigrants have created what kind of spatial organization in the border regions of Turkey for illegal immigration, immigrant smugglers, illegal immigrants viewpoints in the direction of an invariant face uncovered smuggling of migrants, migrant smuggling and how a power struggle, resistance and re-host the spaces of domination and immigrant identity and collective memory in the understanding of the role and function of symbols that constitutes the main problem of this study. In the study, migrant smuggling was examined sociologically through the movie “Daha” and some results were obtained as a result of this examination. Migrant traffickers were understood to be people who made money off illegal immigrants and used violence on them, raping women, driving them into prostitution, leaving patients and children to die. It was established that a place known as Kandali was built in the border region of Turkey, where illegal immigrants were imprisoned in warehouses and treated without any kind of human dignity. It is concluded that illegal immigrants engrave various symbols on the walls of the warehouse where they stay, these symbols transform the warehouse into a social memory space and represent the hopes, desires, wishes, expectations, freedoms and liberations of immigrants. As a result, it is understood that illegal immigrants continue their struggle to reach the target country despite their problems.

Sanatçılar kâinattaki bu mükemmelliği yansıtmak istemiş ve İlahî Oranlar’ı eserlerinde uygulamaya çalışmışlardır. Yüzyıllardır farklı sanat dallarında kullanılan helezonlar geleneksel sanatlarımızdaki bitkisel kompozisyonların temelinde de yer almaktadır. Helezonların tarihçesi insanlık tarihi kadar eskidir. Sanatçılar tabiatı gözlemleyerek, sabır ve yetenekleriyle mükemmel tasarımlar oluşturmuşlardır. Kompozisyonların kusursuzluğu kullanılan oranlara bağlıdır. Sanatçılar bu uyum ve dengeyi helezonlarla sağlamışlardır. Makalemizde, geleneksel sanatlarımızda kullanılan bitkisel kompozisyonların temel taşını oluşturan helezonların tarihçesine ışık tutmaya çalışılacaktır. Everything in the universe was created on proportion and proportion systems. Spirals which exist in the essenace of many entities are formed in spiral-shaped structures that contain such a proportinal harmony. The artists wanted to reflect this perfection in the universe and tried to apply the Divine Proportions in their works. Spirals, which have been used in different art branches for many centuries, also lies at the basis of floral compositions in our traditional arts. The history of spirals is as old as human history. The artists observed the nature and formed perfect designs with their patience and talent. The perfection of the compositions depends on the proportions used. The artists achieved this harmony and balance with spirals in their works. In our article, we will try to shed some light on the history of the spirals, which is supposed to be the cornerstone of floral compositions used in our traditional arts.

Bu çalışmada İbn Arabî’nin berzah ve hayal kavramlarından hareketle genel olarak İslam sanatını, özel olarak da sanat eserini yeni baştan düşünmeyi deniyoruz. Bize göre İslam sanatı hem güncel hem de metafizik anlamda berzahta (“ara”da) bulunmaktadır. İlk olarak, bu sanat hâlihazırda “eski” ile “modern” arasında tereddütler geçirmektedir. Bu zor durumun dezavantajları yanı sıra avantajları vardır. Zira, hakkı verildiği takdirde, bu arada bulunuş, İslam sanatının zenginleştirici bir imkânına dönüştürülebilir. İkinci olarak, İslam sanatı tam da metafizik anlamda arada yani berzahta bulunmakta ve gerçekte verimlerini oradan devşirmektedir. İslam sanatı haddizatında aisthesis’ten ziyade ara-da-lık ile karakterize olan hayal’e dayanmaktadır. Bu çalışmada biz İslam sanatının metafiziğini İbn Arabî’ye ait berzah kavramıyla onunla özsel anlamda bağlantılı olan hayal kavramından hareketle yeni baştan düşünmeyi teklif ediyoruz. Bu maksatla da örnekler arasında bir örneğe, Süleymaniye Camisi örneğine başvuruyor ve bu eserin hakikatini “ara” kavramına müracaatla açıklığa kavuşturmayı deniyoruz. Bu çalışmada aynı zamanda eserden hareketle bir ara fenomenolojisi geliştirilmek amaçlanmaktadır. In this study we try to rethink Islamic art in general, and work of art in the specific manner with referance to İbn Arabi’s notions of barzakh (the between) and imagination. From our point of view, Islamic art is located in barzakh in both actual and metaphysical sense. First of all, this art already faces oscillations “between” ancient and modern. This difficult situation has advantages besides disadvantages. For if done properly, this being in the between can be converted into an enriching opportunity for Islamic art. Secondly, Islamic art is located metaphysically in the between, that is to say in the barzakh and it gets its productivity from there in reality. Islamic art per se is based on imagination rather than aisthesis. In this study we offer to rethink the metaphysics of Islamic art with İbn Arabi’s notion of barzakh with reference to the notion of imagination which is essentially related to it. To this end, we consider the example of Suleymaniye Mosque as an artwork and try to shed light on the verity of this work with reference to the notion of “the between”. Here it is intended also to develop a phenomenology of the between with reference to the artwork. While considering Islamic art, the necessity of appealing to the Sufi metaphysics is another underlined subject in this study.

1902’de memleketi olan Üsküp’ten tahsil maksadıyla İstanbul’a gelen fakat çeşitli sebepler yüzünden herhangi bir okula kaydolamayan Yahya Kemal hemen bir yıl sonra Paris’e gider. Burada bir sene devam ettiği ve Fransızcasını geliştirdiği Collége de Meaux ve Ecole Libre des Sciences Politiques’in “Dış Siyaset” bölümlerinde okur. Bu iki okuldan da mezun olamamasına, özellikle Paris’teki son yıllarda daha çok edebiyatla ilgilenmesine rağmen aldığı bazı dersler, sohbetlerinde bulunduğu, konferanslarına gittiği bazı büyük âlimler, hepsinden önemlisi derin ve dikkatli okumaları sayesinde Yahya Kemal sağlam bir tarih, felsefe, kültür ve medeniyet perspektifi edinmiştir. 1912’de Türkiye’ye döndükten çok kısa bir süre sonra da dersleri, sohbetleri ve yazılarıyla bu donamımı açığa vurur. Mütareke döneminde, işgal İstanbul’unun zor şartları altında da olsa Kuva-yı Milliye lehinde neşrettiği yazılar ise Yahya Kemal’in sadece tarih değil, sağlam bir diplomasi bilgisine de sahip olduğunu gösterir. Mustafa Kemal Paşa başta olmak üzere, Millî Mücadele döneminde Anadolu cephesi tarafından okunan bu yazıların da tesiriyle Yahya Kemal Cumhuriyet’in ilânından sonra Urfa Mebusluğuna getirilir ve bu ilk mebusluğu zamanında Türkiye-Suriye Tahdid-i Hudut Komisyonu’na önce âzâ, sonra başkan olur. Bu çalışmada, Yahya Kemal’in bu komisyon üyeliği zamanında, sınırın nereden çizileceği, çizilmesi gerektiği konularında Hariciye Vekâleti’ne gönderdiği ve daha önce herhangi bir çalışmada yayımlanmayan raporlar incelenecek ve yayımlanacaktır. Yahya Kemal, who came to Istanbul from his hometown of Skopje in 1902 but failed to enroll in any school due to various reasons, went to Paris a year later. In Paris, he studied at the Collége de Meaux (where he studied for a year and developed his French) and Ecole Libre des Sciences Politiques “Foreign Policy”. He was not able to graduate from either of these two schools, and he was more interested in literature, especially in Paris. But it is certain that Yahya Kemal acquired a solid perspective on history, philosophy, culture and civilization through some of the lectures he attended, some great scholars to whom he had conversations and listened to, and above all his deep and careful research. In 1912 he returned to Turkey and lessons, with chat and text has shared this knowledge and experience with the public. During the Armistice period, the articles he published in favor of the National Forces, albeit under the difficult conditions of the occupation of Istanbul, show that Yahya Kemal not only has a solid knowledge of history, but also a strong diplomacy. These articles of Yahya Kemal were read by the Anatolian front, especially Mustafa Kemal Pasha during the National Struggle. Yahya Kemal becomes a deputy of Urfa after the proclamation of the Republic with the influence of these writings. Yahya Kemal, Determination of the Turkey-Syria border in this period before a member of the Commission then appointed as chairman. Birçok müellifin eserleri için uygun gördükleri isimleri gelişigüzel tercih etmediği bilakis lafız ve anlam olmak üzere iki şeye dikkat ettiği görülür. Bu iki şeyden lafza dair olanı secî iken anlama taalluk eden taraf telmîhtir. Kitap isimlerinde secî ise tek isimlerde secî ve silsile isimlerde secî olmak üzere iki kısma ayrılır. Öte yandan bazı eserlerin mukaddimelerinde o eserin o şekilde isimlendirme gerekçesinin (tesmiyesinin) zikredildiği görülür. İşte bu yerlere -sebeb-i teliften ilhamla- sebeb-i tesmiye denilmelidir. Islamic tradition written literature has continuity in itself in many aspects. One of these continuities is to show sensitivity/deliberation while naming the books. It is seen that many authors do not choose the names of their books randomly; on the contrary, they pay attention to two issues: wording and meaning. While secî corresponds to wording, telmîh corresponds to meaning. In the names of the books, secî is divided into two categories: Secî in single names and secî in successive names. On the other hand; it is seen that the reason of naming that book in that way (tesmiye) is alluded in the preambles of some books. Thus, these parts are called as “sebeb-i tesmiye” as inspired from “sebeb-i telif”.

XI. yüzyılın başlarında Güney İtalya’da askerî faaliyetlere girişen Normanlar bu yüzyılın ortalarından itibaren Sicilya’yı işgale giriştiler. Bunun öncesinde Normanlar, bölgede Bizans İmparatorluğu’nun da içinde bulunduğu siyasî güçlere paralı asker olarak hizmet veren İskandinav asıllı askerlerdi. Güney İtalya’da başarıya ulaşan isyanın neticesinde müstakil bir güç hâline gelen Hauteville Ailesi’nin üyesi Roger (1071-1101) zamanında da Müslümanların hâkim olduğu Sicilya’nın işgâline devam edilmiş ve ada 1091 yılında Normanların hükmü altına girmişti. II. Roger (1130-1154) ile birlikte krallığa dönüşen ve Orta Akdeniz’de başat güç konumunu alan Sicilya Normanları, mezkûr kral döneminde Zîrîler (361-543/972-1148) ve Müslüman yerel güçlerle çatışarak egemenlik sahalarını İfrîkıye’ye kadar genişletmeyi başardılar. Araştırmada, II. Roger’den sonra sırasıyla tahta çıkan I. William (1154-1166) ve II. William (1166-1189) dönemlerinde Sicilya Normanlarının Doğu Akdeniz’deki Mısır sahil şehirleri, Kıbrıs Adası ve III. Haçlı Seferi öncesinde Bilâdü’ş-Şâm kıyı kentlerinde yaptığı çıkarmalar, denizcilik faaliyetleri, donanma teşkilâtı, kullandıkları silâhlar ve gemiler hakkındaki bilgiler İslâm ve Batı kaynakları ışığında değerlendirilecektir. Beginning in the early 11th century, the Normans began military activities in southern Italy and invaded Sicily in the middle of this century. Prior to that, the Normans were Scandinavian soldiers who served as mercenaries to political forces in the region, including the Byzantine Empire. Roger I (1071-1101), a member of the Hauteville Family, which became an independent power with the successful rebellions in Southern Italy, started the invasion of Sicily dominated by Muslims and the island came under the rule of the Normans in 1091. The Normans in Sicily, which became the kingdom in the period of Roger II (1130-1154) and became the dominant power in the Central Mediterranean, managed to establish sovereignty in Ifrīḳıya by clashing with the Zīrids (361-543/972- 1148) and Muslim local powers during the Roger I period. In this research, after the succession of Roger II the activities of the Sicilian Normans in the Eastern Mediterranean during the William I (1154-1166) and William II (1166-1189) periods, the landing they made on Egypt, Cyprus and Bilād al-Shām, their naval organization, naval activities, the weapons they used and their ships will be evaluated in the light of Islamic and Western sources.

Bu çalışmada Mimarlık bölümlerindeki öğrencilerin çoklu zeka alanları ve çoklu zeka alanlarının cinsiyete göre nasıl farklılaştığını araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla Branton Shearer’ın geliştirdiği Çoklu Zeka Alanları Gelişimsel Değerlendirme Ölçeği (MIDAS), veri toplama aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2017-2018 öğretim yılında Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf Üniversitesi, Yıldız Teknik Üniversitesi ve Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi Mimarlık bölümlerinde sırasıyla Mimari Anlatım Dili, Mimari Anlatım Teknikleri ve Mimari Teknik Resim derslerini alan toplam 279 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre öğrencilerin sekiz farklı zeka türünden en baskın olan ilk üç zeka alanının sırasıyla sosyal, içsel ve matematiksel zeka olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca mimarlık öğrencilerinin çoklu zeka alanlarının cinsiyete göre de değişiklikler gösterdiği ortaya çıkmıştır. This study aimed to investigate the multiple intelligence fields of architecture students and how the multiple intelligence areas differ according to gender. For this purpose, Multiple Intelligence Developmental Assessment Scale (MIDAS) developed by Branton Shearer was used as a data collection tool. The sampling of the study consists of 279 students who took Architectural Communication Skills, Architectural Expression Techniques and Professional Technical Drawing courses in Architecture departments of Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, Yıldız Technical University and Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in 2017-2018 academic year. The results showed that the most dominant 3 intelligence areas out of 8 different intelligence types of the students are as follows: social, internal and mathematical intelligence. In addition, it has been revealed that the multiple intelligence fields of architecture students vary according to gender.

Oyun, çocuğun sağlıklı gelişmesi ve öğrenmesinde önemli bir role sahiptir. Teknoloji ve dijitalleşmenin gelişmesi insan yaşamında birçok değişikliğe yol açmıştır ve farklı kuşaklarda çocukların oynadığı oyunlar bu değişimden etkilenmiştir. Bu çalışmada da belli bir kuşakta doğmuş ve çocukluğunu o kuşağın içinde geçirmiş bireylerin oyuna bakışlarını, oynadığı oyunları, oyun oynadığı mekanları ve materyalleri inceleyerek kuşakların oyun benzerlik ve farklılıklarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nitel araştırma yönteminden durum çalışması deseni ile yapılan araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2018- 2019 eğitim öğretim yılında eğitim gören okul öncesi öğretmenliği bölümü öğrencileri ve aile bireyleridir. Çocukluğunu 1960-1980 yılları arasında geçirmiş büyükanne ve büyükbabalar X kuşağını, çocukluğunu 1980-2000 yılları arasında geçirmiş anne ve babalar Y kuşağını, çocukluğunu 2000 yılından sonra geçirmiş öğrencilerin kendileri Z kuşağını oluşturmuştur. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen açık uçlu soruların yer aldığı form ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın sonucuna göre X kuşağı oyunu çocuk işi ve çocuğun ihtiyacı olarak görürken, Y ve Z kuşağı eğlendirici faaliyet olarak tanımlamıştır. X, Y, Z kuşaklarının üçünde de saklambaç ve mendil kapmaca tercih edilen oyunları oluştururken Z kuşağının oyun tercihleri arasında bilgisayar oyunları ve televizyon izlemek gibi aktivitelerin de yer aldığı görülmüştür. X ve Y kuşağının oyun materyallerinde çamur, toprak, taş, çubuk, sopa gibi doğal malzemeler bulunurken Z kuşağında doğal oyun materyallerin yerini oyuncaklar, bebekler, boya kalemleri gibi endüstriyel ve yapay oyun materyalleri yer almıştır. X ve Y kuşağının oyun alanlarını açık alanlar, Z kuşağının oyun alanlarını kapalı alanlar oluşturmuştur. Play has an important role in the healthy development and the learning of the child. The development of technology and digitalization has led to many changes in human life. Type of plays children are involved from different generations has been influenced by this change. This study was carried out to examine the perceptions and experiences of people from different generations (X, Y, and Z Generations) about their childhood plays in terms of types, materials, and playgrounds they preferred in their childhoods. In this research, case study which is one of the qualitative research methods was used. The data were collected from the pre-service early childhood education teachers, their parents, and their grandparents throughout the 2018-2019 academic year. X generation includes the people lived their childhoods during the 1960-1980 years. Y generation includes the people lived their childhoods during the 1980-2000 years. Z generations includes the people lived their childhood since 2000 years. Data was collected via semi-structured interview form developed by the researcher. According to the results of the study, while generation X evaluated the play as child’s work and the need of the child, generation Y and Z defined it as entertaining activity. While hide and seek, handkerchiefs were the most preferred plays in all three generations, it was seen that generation Z was involved in activities such as computer games and watching television. While the play materials of generation X and Y were natural materials such as mud, soil, stones, sticks, sticks, industrial, Z generation mentioned from artificial play materials such as toys, dolls, crayons. While the X and Y generations choose open playgrounds, it seen that the Z generation prefers indoor playgrounds more.

İslam ilim tarihinde, Hadis usûlü alanında yazılan ilk manzum eser olarak bilinen “Garâmî Sahih” manzûmesi ile İbn Ferah el-İşbîlî (ö. 699/1300), hadis usûlüne farklı bir zenginlik katmıştır. Bu manzûme, 20 beyitlik kısa bir eser olmasına rağmen, İslam dünyasında büyük ilgi görmüş, farklı zamanlarda değişik âlimler tarafından, hakkında 40’tan fazla şerh ve hâşiye yazılmıştır. Bu eserden sonra, İslam dünyasında hadis usûlü manzûmeleri gelişmiş, kısa (20-100 beyit), orta (100- 500 beyit) ve uzun (500-1000 beyit ve üzeri) birçok manzûme ve (1000 beyit ve üzeri) elfiyeler yazılmıştır. Şihabüddin el- Hüveyyî (ö.693/1294), Zeynüddin el-Irakî (ö.806/1404), Muhammed b. Abdurrahman el-Berşensî (ö.808/1406) ve Celalüddin es-Süyûtî (ö.911/1506) gibi âlimlerin Elfiye’lerine; Şemseddin el-Mecdüddin el-Fîrûzâbâdî (ö.817/1415), Kemalüddin eş-Şümünnî (ö.821/1419), İbn Zekrî et-Tilimsânî (ö.899/1494) ve Radıyyüddin el-Gazzî (ö.935/1529) gibi âlimlerin manzûmelerine ilham kaynağı olduğunu söyleyebileceğimiz bu manzûmede İşbîlî, sahih, zayıf, hasen, mu’dal, mürsel, mevkuf, merfu’ gibi hadis usûlü terimlerinin lafızlarını zikrederek, sevgi ve aşk konulu bir gazel üretmiştir. Böylece hadis usûlünü, teknik terimlerin ağırlığı altında kalmaktan çıkarıp ilim ehli nezdinde daha cazibeli bir yapıya büründürmüştür. Ibn Farah al-Ishbeeli’s poem named “Gharaami Saheeh (My love is true) about the methodology of Hadith is considered in the history of Islamic sciences as the first poem written in this field. Even though it has comprised short content of 20 couplets only, it has attracted great attention of many scholars that more than 40 commentarial books have been written about it. After this poem, many others have appeared, succeeding each other till current age. Therefore, it is possible for us to say that this field, after him, has been subsequently developed and reached up to a position that great poems comprising thousand couplets, have been written by different scholars like Shihab al-din al-Khuwaiyi, Zayn al-din al-Iraaqi, Jalal al-din Soyuuti and others. Ishbeeli, in this poem, just provided the names of terminologies used in the methodology of Hadith as Saheeh, Hasen, Dha’eef, etc, and made up a beautiful poem whose topic is love.

İslam hukuk tarihinde müçtehit imamlar dönemi olarak bilinen hicri II. yüzyıl ile IV. asrın ortalarına kadar süren dönem, bilinen dört fıkıh mezhebinin yanında diğer sünnî mezheplerin de teşekkül ettiği dönem olmuştur. Sayıları onlarca olan bu mezheplerin hemen hemen hepsi, siyasi ve sosyo-kültürel etkenlerden ötürü varlıklarını sürdürememiş, günümüze ulaşamamışlardır. Bunların bir kısmı az bir müntesip kitlesiyle varlıklarını hicri V. asra kadar devam ettirmişlerse de, mezhep merkezli dönem olarak bilinen taklit döneminden itibaren, mutlak içtihat kapısının kapandığı düşüncesi ve kitlelerin, doğrudan veya dolaylı olarak dört mezhebe teveccühleri sebebiyle tarih sahnesinden çekilmek durumunda kalmıştır. Bu çalışmamızda, günümüzde yaşamayan sünnî fıkıh mezhepleri hangileri olduğu klasik ve modern çalışmalardan istifade edilerek tespit edilmeye çalışılacak ve Fuat Sezgin’in Tarihu’t-Turâsi’l-Arabî (GAS) adlı eserindeki tasnifiyle kıyaslanacaktır. Between the 2nd and 4th centuries after hijrah, during the period in the history Islamic law known as the time of mujtahid scholars, there have been Sunni madhhabs other than the four schools of fiqh known today. Almost all of these madhhabs (sects), which have reached numbers as high as several dozen at that time, have failed to maintain their existence and reach our time due to political and sociocultural factors. Although a small number of these schools have been able to continue their existence with small numbers of followers until the 5th century after hijrah, from the period known as the madhhab-oriented imitation period, they began to withdraw from the stage of history due to the growth of the thought that absolute Islamic jurisprudence was no longer possible and due to the fact that masses of people had turned their favor towards the four madhhabs due to direct and indirect reasons. In this study, we will try to determine which madhhabs are the ones that have failed to maintain their existence by utilizing classical and modern works and comparing these findings to Fuat Sezgin’s classification in his work titled Tarihu’t-Turasi’l- Arabi (GAS).

Yoksulluk geçmişten günümüze pek çok araştırmacının üzerinde önemle durduğu bir konu olmuştur. Ancak yoksulluk genellikle tek boyut üzerinden düşünülmüş ve yoksulluğu önleme amaçlı üretilen politikalar da tek boyutlu olmuştur. Oysa yoksulluğun farklı ve özel anlam içeren bir boyutu da bulunmaktadır. Bu boyut miskinliktir. Miskinlerin, yoksulluğun görünmeyen bir yüzü olduğunu bilmek ve sosyal koruma kapsamına nasıl alınacağını tespit etmek sosyal dengelerin sağlanması bakımından önemlidir. Bu çalışmada İslâm’ın korunmasını emrettiği özel gruplardan biri olan gizli yoksullara (miskinlere) yönelik sosyal korumanın nasıl ve hangi araçlarla sağlanabileceği sorularına yanıt aranmaktadır. Bu arayışta sahip olduğu mükemmel potansiyel ile zekât müessesesinin önemi vurgulanmaktadır. Poverty has been a topic that was strongly focussed by many researchers from past to present. However, poverty has usually been thought out at one dimension and policies, produced for aiming to prevent poverty, have also been one-dimensional. But, there is also a dimension that contains different and special meaning of poverty. This dimension is the unseen-poor. To know the unseen poor as being an invisible face of poverty and how to detect them into social protection is important in terms of providing social balances. In this study, looking for answers to the questions about how and which tools provide to social protection for unseen poor as a particular group that ordered the protection of Islam. The importance of Alms (Zekat) institutions that have excellent potential in this quest are highlighted.

Endülüs’ün son Arap hükümdarı olan Abû Abdullah es-Sağîr, tartışmalı bir şahsiyettir. Dünya edebiyatına giren bu şahsiyet, birçok edebî esere konu olmuştur. Türk edebiyatında Abdülhak Hamid’in kaleme aldığı Abdullahü’s-Sagîr adlı piyesi ile Arap edebiyatında Suriyeli yazar Maruf el-Arnavut’un Ebû Abdullah es-Sagîr adlı piyesi, bu şahsiyeti ele alan eserlerdendir. Bu makalede, adı geçen bu iki piyeste ana karakter olarak karşımıza çıkan Abû Abdullah es-Sağîr’in şahsiyeti farklı yönleriyle incelenmiştir. Makalede, söz konusu piyeslerin geniş özetleri verildikten sonra karşılaştırma bölümünde Abû Abdullah es-Sağîr’in şahsiyeti piyeslerde geçen ortak ve farklı yönleriyle ele alınarak incelenmiştir. Ayrıca bu piyeslerde Abû Abdullah es-Sağîr ile ilgili farklılıkların ve benzerliklerin arkasında yatan sebeplere de işaret edilmiştir. Abu ʿAbd Allah Muḥammad XII, in Arabic known as as-Saġīr, was the 22nd and the last Arab ruler of al-Andalus. A controversial historical figure, he became a protagonist of numerous literary works, among them the play ʿAbd Allah as-Saġīr written by a Turkish poet and play writer Abdülhak Hâmid Tarhan, and Abu ʿAbd Allah as-Saġīr by a Syrian author Maʿrūf el-Arnavut. This article deals with the way in which the character of Abu ʿAbd Allah Muḥammad XII is presented in both plays. After a brief plot summary, it proceeds to comparing ways the main protagonist is described, with both similarities and differences between the plays pointed out, and the reasons behind them explained.

Bu çalışma, İslâm’ın ilk beş asrında yaşayan müslüman âlimlerin ekonomik çevrelerini ve dünyevî mesleklerini tespit ederek bu âlimlerin ekonomik kökenlerinin ve meslekî yapılarının İslâm dünyasının farklı yerlerinde ve yaklaşık beş yüz yıllık bir zaman diliminde nasıl değiştiğini ortaya koymaktadır. Klasik döneme ait biyografi kaynaklarında zikredilen 14.000’den fazla âlimden 4.200’ünün dünyevî mesleği veya ekonomik çevresi hakkındaki bilgiye dayanan çalışmada, âlimlerin çalıştıkları 410 iş veya meslek farklı sektörler ve iş kategorileri altında gruplandırılmıştır. Ardından yüzyıllık periyotlarda âlimlerin mesleklere göre dağılımları ve hicrî ilk beş asır boyunca farklı coğrafyalarda meslekî yapılardaki değişim detaylı olarak irdelenmiştir. Çalışmanın ulaştığı önemli sonuçlardan birisi şudur; İslâm’ın ilk beş asrında yaşayan âlimlerin önemli bir kısmı geçimlerini ticaretten ve zanaattan sağlamışlardır veya geçimlerini bunlardan sağlayan ailelerden gelmişlerdir. This study ascertains the economic background and secular occupations of muslim scholars who lived in the first five centuries of Islam and reveals how the economic origins and occupational structure of these scholars vary in different parts of the Muslim world and in about five centuries long period. In this study, which is based on the information regarding the economic background or the occupations of 4200 scholars among over 14.000 muslim scholars who are mentioned in the biographical books of the classical period of Islam, 410 professions or occupations that these scholars engaged in are grouped under various sectors and profession categories. Then the distribution of scholars by occupations based on century-long periods and changes in occupational structures in different places during the first five centuries of Islam are examined in detail. One of the significant conclusions of the study is that considerable proportion of the scholars within the first five centuries of Islam earned their livings by themselves from commerce and handicrafts or they came from the families who were engaged in these occupations.

Hanefi fakîhi Yusuf-u Hemedanî’den (ö. 535/1140) ilim ve irfan eğitimini tamamlayan Ahmed-i Yesevî, özellikle yaşadığı Türkistan coğrafyasında Kıpçak ve Oğuz boyları arasında İslam’ın benimsenip yayılmasında önemli hizmetlerde bulunmuş, Çağatay Türkçesi ile serbest halk edebiyatı vezninde manzum olarak söylediği dînî içerikli şiirleri olan hikmetleriyle insanlara anlayacağı dilde İslam’ı tebliğ etmiştir. Ahmed-i Yesevî’nin hikmetleri, İslam’ın asgarî seviyede bilinmesi gereken îmân, ibâdet ve ahlâkın temel esaslarını, bir Müslüman için zorunlu bilgileri içermektedir. Türkler arasında gelişip yayılan ve ilk örneğini Ahmed-i Yesevî’nin Divân-ı Hikmet eseriyle veren îmân, ibâdet ve ahlâka dair asgarî bilgilerin genel prensipler mâhiyetinde ele alındığı ilmihâl geleneği, Cibrîl hadîsinde yer alan üç konuyla ilgili sorulara yönelik îzâhın yaygınlaşmasıyla oluşmuştur. Ahmed-i Yesevî, hikmetlerinde bu bilgilere, ahkâm cihetinden değil, dînîn özünü oluşturan ilkeler bakımından yer vermiş, insanların İslam ile olan bağını sahih bir yolla kurma amacını hedeflemiştir. Ahmed-i Yesevî’nin, ilmihâl konularından ibâdetlere verdiği hassasiyeti, Divân-ı Hikmet’te ibâdetin gereğine değindiği sayısız hikmetleriyle birlikte 68 yerde namazdan, otuz üç yerde oruçtan, üç yerde zekâttan bahsetmesi ile de görmekteyiz. Ayrıca dokuz kıtadan oluşan 242. hikmetini sadece hac ibâdetine ayırması da bu kanaati desteklemektedir. İlmihâl kültürünün oluşumu hakkında kısa bilgi verdikten sonra Ahmed-i Yesevî’nin hikmetlerinde zâhirî hükümlerinden ziyâde iç anlamları yani manevî boyutları üzerinde durduğu ibâdet konularını ele alacağımız çalışmamızda, Divân-ı Hikmet’ten tespit ettiğimiz bazı ibâdet ilkelerini hikmetler ışığında sunacağız. He is the spiritual conqueror of Anatolia. Ahmad-i Yasawi completed the education of knowledge and wisdom from the Hanafi physician Yusuf-u Hemedani (d. 1140). Ahmed-i Yasawi, the almighty VI / miladi XII. In the geographical region of Turkistan, Kipchak and Oguz had important services in the adoption and spread of İslâm. Ahmad-i Yasawi notified Islam on the level of understanding the people with his wisdoms with religious content poems which he said as a poem in Chagatay Turkish and free folk literature. The wisdom of Ahmad-i Yasawi is that the basic principles of faith, worship and morality that İslâm needs to be known at the minimum level include the minimum level necessary for a Muslim. Although the wisdoms are not predominant, the wisdom gives the impression of infallibility, including the essential principles that every Muslim needs to acquire about faith, worship and general morality, and the essential information he needs to learn. The tradition of ilmihal, which is developed and spread among the Turks and the first principles of which are given in the general principles of faith, worship and morality, giving the first example with the work of Divan-i Hekmat of Ahmad-i Yasawi, explains the internal meaning of the questions of Islam and benevolence. Yasawi places this information in his wisdom as the basis of the spirit of religion, and aims to secure people’s faithfulness to İslâm in a safe way. The connection with the deed is a form of encouragement to him, an attachment of significance and a neglect of his negligence. Islamic faith and jurisprudence of İslâm in Turkistan was learned and taught through the books of kelâm and fiqh. We see the sensitivity of Yasawi to the worship of the subjects of science, the prayer in 68 places in the Divan-ı Hekmat, the fasting in 33 places and the zakat in 3 places. It is also supported by the fact that the 242th Hekmat, which consists of nine continents, is only used for pilgrimage. Yasawi emphasizes the importance of ablution and places sacrifice and itikaf subjects in his wisdom in using ablution on the basis of worship. After giving brief information about the formation of the almighty cult, we will discuss the issues of worship which Ahmad-i Yesevî emphasizes on inner meanings / spiritual dimensions rather than the spiritual meanings in his wisdom. In this paper, we will try to present some principles from the Divan-ı Hekmat that we have determined for the principles of worship.

Makalede Osmanlı kıraat eğitiminde tarikler, meslekler ve mesleklerin temel kaynakları işlenmektedir. Tarikler başlığında tarik kelimesinin ne anlama geldiği, tariklerin tasnif çeşitleri ile Osmanlı’daki durumlarına değinilmiştir. Meslekler başlığında ise mesleklerin kurucuları ile kaynaklarına yer verilmiştir. Makalenin yazılış amacı Osmanlı kıraat eğitimindeki tariklerin uygulanış şekilleri ile bu tariklerin Osmanlı’dan önceki uygulamalardan farklı olduğu noktaları ortaya koymaktır. Ayrıca daha önce aynı konuda yazılmış makalelerden farklı olarak mesleklerin kurucularıyla temel kaynaklarını ayrıntılı bir şekilde ele almaktır. Makalede Osmanlı’da tariklerin uygulanış şekilleri ve isimlendirilmelerinde öncesine göre birtakım farklılıklar olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Meslekler ve mesleklerin kaynakları başlığında ise makalede adı geçen kaynakların daha ziyade kıraat ilminin tahrirat kısmına yönelik olduğu kanısına varılmıştır. The article deals with “Tariq”s, “Meslek”s and their resources in the field of “Qiraah” (Quranic Recitation) education in Ottoman era. Under the title, “Tariq”s it is touched upon the meaning of “Tariq”, varieties of classifications of “Tariq”s and their condition in Ottoman era. As for the title “Mesleks”, it includes the information about the respective founders of the “Meslek”s and their resources. The purpose of writing the article is revealing the ways of implementation of “Tariq”s in Ottoman “Qiraah” education and if available to unveil the distinction points from the earlier application. The scope of section “Mesleks” -unlike similar articles written in this field- is to handle the founders and the main resources of these “Meslek”s in detail. It is concluded in the article that there were differences in application ways and naming the “Tariq”s comparing to earlier times. As for the section “Mesleks and their resources” it is inferred that the resources mentioned in the article are more likely to be about the “Tahrirat” (registering of references) field of the “Qiraah”.

Bu alanda verilmiş eserler, sanatımızın geçmişten günümüze ulaşabilmesi bakımından son derece etkili olmuştur. Şah Mahmud Nişâburî Albümü de, kitap sanatlarının uygulama alanlarından olan murakka’ yapımcılığının en mühim örnekleri arasında gösterilmektedir. Başta Şah Mahmud Nişâburî olmak üzere İranlı hattatların kıt’alarının yer aldığı bu albümün tezhiplenmesinin ve ciltlenmesinin Osmanlı Nakkaşhânesi’nde yapıldığı kabul edilmektedir. Albümde kıt’a formunun sıra dışı örnekleri bir arada toplanmıştır. Hem hat hem de tezhip sanatı açısından çok değerli ve aynı zamanda yol gösterici bir eser niteliği taşıyan albümdeki kıt’a formlarının farklılığı, değişik boyutlarda ve şekillerde koltuk alanlarının oluşumunu sağlamış ve bu durum tasarımdaki çeşitliliği de beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu makalede de, Şah Mahmud Nişâburî Murakkaı’nda yer alan birkaç örnek, koltuk tezhibi yönünden ele alınacak ve incelenecektir. The arts of book are one of the most important elements in the formation of Turkish art. The works which are given in this field have been highly influential in terms of our art to reach from past to the present. Shah Mahmud Nişâburî album is shown as one of the most important examples of album production which is application area of book arts. In this album, which contains calligraphic kıt’as of Persian calligraphers, mostly of Shah Mahmud Nişâburî, illumination and binding in Ottoman palace studio, kıt’a forms’ extraordinary examples are gathered together. The variety of kıt’a forms in the album, which is both valuable and at the same time an advisor in terms of calligraphy and illumination, has provided the formation of koltuk areas in different sizes and shapes and this brought diversity in the design. In this article, some samples in Shah Mahmud Nişâburî album will be analyzed in terms of koltuk illumination.

Timsahın yaşadığı iklimlerde insan yaşamını tehdit eden yırtıcı bir sürüngen olması, Antik Mısır’dan itibaren inanç sistemlerinde bir güç sembolü olmasına vesile olmuştur. Osmanlılar, Mısır’ın fethinden sonra tanıştıkları bu egzotik hayvana karşı ilgi duymaya başlamış ve merkezi otoritenin iklimine yabancı bu hayvanı gerek kendi varoluşuyla, gerekse de çağrıştırdığı imgelerle ilişkilendirebildikleri boyutlarda benimsemişlerdir. Başlangıçta bir merak şahikası iken, sonrasında İstanbul’a getirilip temaşa edilen bu hayvan, zihinlerde çağrıştırdığı imgelerle dertlilere deva, gemilere ilham, çikolatalara marka ve en sonunda gizemli bir mumya kurgusunun baş kahramanı olarak, pek çok gerçek ve tevatüre alet olmuştur. Bu araştırmada timsahın çağrıştırdığı merak dolu gizemlerin Osmanlı’nın kültür hayatına etkisi bağlamında günümüze kadar süren izleri sürülmek istenmiştir. Threatening the life of mankind as a predator reptile in its habitual regions caused crocodiles to be a symbol of power in belief systems since Ancient Egypt. Ottomans were very interested in this exotic animal, which they met after the conquest of Egypt, and although it was foreign to the climate of central authority, they adopted it both with its own existence and the images it reminded within the aspects they could associate with. As it was the peak of wonder itself at the begining, crocodiles were later brought to Istanbul to be exhibited, and with the images they inspired, they became motifs in many facts and fictions such as remedies for sufferings, inspiration for ships, marks for chocolates and finally, the leading actor of a mystery mummy fiction. This study aims to following the traces of the wondrous mysteries evoked by crocodiles within the context of their effects to Ottoman cultural life, still present today.

Tarihin en eski kentlerinden biri olan Halep, Türkiye’nin sınır komşusu Suriye’nin ticari, ekonomik ve endüstriyel başkenti niteliğindedir. Önemli ticaret yollarının buluştuğu kent, ülkenin kuzeyinde yer almaktadır. Konumu itibariyle kent, tarih boyunca doğu ile batı arasında bir ticaret merkezi olmuştur. Taş devrinden bu yana yerleşim yeri özelliğini koruyan Halep, Orta Tunç Çağı’nda bile nüfus topluluklarının merkezi olmuştur. Coğrafi konumu, dinî cazibesi, sosyal yapısı ve iklim şartları Halep’in ayakta kalmasını sağlayan başlıca etkenler olmuştur. Halep kent dokusunun en ilgi çeken yanı geleneksel konut mimarisidir. Halep evlerinde eski doku incelendiğinde Anadolu’da benzer iklim ve sosyal yapıya sahip olduğu görülür. Organik sokak dokusu, sağır ve yüksek avlu duvarlarıyla çevrilidir. Ev mimarisini etkileyen ikilim, malzeme, gelenek, çevre, kültür ve sosyal hayat faktörleri, fiziki plana da yansımıştır. Halep geleneksel ev mimarisi Mezopotamya döneminden başlayarak İslam dönemine kadar varlığını sürdürmüştür. Aleppo, as one of the oldest urban settlements, is the commercial, economic and industrial capital of Syria, the neighbor of Turkey on its southern border. The city, where important trade routes meet, is located in the north of the country. Aleppo has been a trade center between east and west throughout its history. Aleppo, which has preserved its character since the Stone Age, has been a center of attraction for communities even in the Middle Bronze Age. Geographical location, religious attractiveness, social structure, and climatic conditions were the main factors that enabled Aleppo to survive throughout the centuries. The most interesting part of the urban fabric in Aleppo is its traditional residential architecture. When the urban residential fabric is examined in Aleppo, it is seen that it has similarities to the climatic and social structure in Anatolia. The streets with organic texture are surrounded by blind and high courtyard walls. The climate of the area, building materials, traditions, social and cultural environment have their physical effects on the residential architecture. The traditional residential architecture of Aleppo starting from the Mesopotamian period has lasted as well through the Islamic Period.

Tasvir meselesinin kökenindeki sûret ve temsil konusu, başlangıcından günümüze kadar bütün bir felsefe tarihinin de en temel problemidir ve bu yüzden söz konusu tartışmalar da sadece sanata özgü değildir. Tasvirin temsil ve taklit kavramları ile ilişkisi, epistemoloji-ontoloji merkezinde felsefenin, isim-sıfat tartışmaları açısından teolojinin ve elbette ahlâkın zeminini belirler. Bu makalede tasvir meselesinin felsefe açısından varlık ve oluş, teolojik açıdan da yaratma ve kurtuluş kavramlarıyla ilgisi tartışılarak temsil ve taklidin teorik zemini belirlenmeye çalışılmaktadır. Makale ayrıca meselenin İbnü’l-Arabî metinleriyle nasıl yorumlanabileceğini göstermeyi hedeflemektedir. The problem of representation and mimesis which is at the roots of the issue of depiction (taswir) is from the beginning until now the most basic problem within the whole body of philosophy and, therefore, arguments in question are not limited to art only. The relation between depiction (taswir) and the concepts of representation and mimesis define the foundations of philosophy in terms of epistemology-ontology, theology with regard to ‘name-designation’ discussions, and, with no doubt, morality. In this article, the connection between the issue of depiction (taswir) and the concepts of “on” and “genesis” is discussed from the point of view of philosophy. In the same time, its connection to the concepts of creation and salvation are examined with regard to theology. Additionally, the author attempts at defining the theoretical foundation of representation and mimesis. Last but not least, the article aims at showing that the issue in question could be interpreted using the books of Ibn al-Arabi.

Gotik edebiyat ilk olarak Avrupa’da ortaya çıkmıştır. Dolayısıyla bu kıtanın tarihi özelliklerini yansıtmaktadır. Aristokrat geçmişin otoriter ayrımları gotik edebiyatın en önemli belirleyenidir. Ayrıca modernizmi savunan ve karşı çıkan alt türleriyle kuramsal bir tavır da barındırmaktadır. Bu edebi tür Amerika’ya götürüldüğünde yeni kıtanın sosyal, tarihi, ekonomik yanlarının etkisinde kalmıştır. Amerikan gotiğinde söz konusu ülkenin coğrafi özellikleri yansıtılmıştır. Benzer şekilde Anadolu gotiği de yerli coğrafyanın özelliklerini barındırmaktadır. Geçmişten gelen halk kültürün içindeki korku ögeleri yeni dönem romanlarına aktarılmaya başlanmıştır. Böylece Anadolu’nun insanı ve coğrafyası korku romanlarının konusu olmuştur. Gothic literature first appeared in Europe. Therefore, it reflects the historical features of this continent. The authoritarian distinctions of the aristocratic past are the most important determinants of gothic literature. It also has a theoretical attitude with its sub-genres defending and opposing modernism. This literary genre is taken to America and has been influenced by the social, historical and economic aspects of the new continent. In the American gothic, the geographical features of the country were reflected. Similarly, Anatolian gothic include the characteristics of the native geography. The elements of fear in the folk culture from the past began to be transferred to the novels of the new era. Thus, the people and geography of Anatolia became the subject of horror novels.

İslamî düşüncenin önemli bir kısmı söylemsel düzlemde modern dünya ile ilgili olarak problemli bir tavra sahiptir. Bugün İslam dünyasında modern dünyaya bakışa ilişkin iki uç yaklaşım mevcuttur. Birinci yaklaşım modernliği bütünü ile reddeden ve “Altın Çağ’a” dönmeyi hedefleyen yaklaşımdır. İkinci yaklaşım ise modern dünyayı bütünüyle İslamîleştirmeyi hedefleyen yaklaşımdır. Bu anlamda birinci yaklaşıma devrimci tavır, ikinci yaklaşıma reformist tavır denilebilir. Ancak her iki yaklaşım da sorunlu yaklaşımlardır. Geriye dönüş mümkün değildir. Bugün modern dünyanın içerisinde yaşıyoruz. Modern dünya, teknolojik, ekonomik, sosyal, siyasi vs. bazı yeni durumları beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu iki tavırla da Müslümanların sorunlarının çözülmesi mümkün değildir. Bu bağlamda yeni bir yaklaşıma ihtiyaç vardır. Bu bağlamda bu yeni yaklaşım, Hz. Peygamber’in içinde yaşadığı toplumla ilişki kurma biçimi olmalıdır. Hz. Peygamber’in toplumuyla kurduğu ilişki üç boyutlu bir ilişkidir. Birinci boyutu devrimci boyut olarak da adlandırılabilir. Bu noktada Hz. Peygamber bazı uygulamaları kökten kaldırmıştır. Örneğin faiz, kaldırılmış ve yerine karz-ı hasen uygulaması önerilmiştir. İkinci boyutu ıslah boyutudur. Bu bağlamda uygulama tamamen kaldırılmamış, sadece ıslah edilmiştir. Örneğin çok evlilik yasaklanmamış, ancak sınırlanmıştır ve hukuki bir çerçeveye oturtulmuştur. Üçüncü boyut ise muhafazakâr boyut olarak adlandırılabilir. Bu yaklaşım, o toplumun iyi olan davranışlarını muhafaza etmektedir. Nitekim Hz. Peygamber, bir hadiste “cahiliyede iyi olan İslam’da da iyidir” buyurmaktadır. Örneğin haram aylar uygulaması, değiştirilmeden muhafaza edilmiş ve haram aylarda savaş yapılmaması geleneği korunmuştur. Sonuç olarak İslam, ne saf devrimci ne de saf reformist bir konuma sahiptir. İslam’ın genel uygulaması, olaylara göre şekillenmektedir. Bugün modern dünyanın bütünüyle reddedilmesi, olguya savaş açmaktır. Bütünüyle İslamîleştirilmesi ise İslamî ilkeleri realiteye kurban etmektir. Olguya savaş açmadan, ama ana ilkelerinden de taviz vermeden modern dünya ile kurulacak sağlıklı bir ilişki, Müslüman toplumlar için ivedi bir meseledir. Today, an important part of Islamic thought has a problematic attitude regarding modern world on discursive level. Currently, there are two extreme approaches towards modern world in the Islamic world. One part of them rejects the modern world with its all characters completely and wants to return “Golden Age”. Another part argues Islamization of the modern world with its all aspects. Both of these approaches, namely, revolutionism and reformism are having many problems. Firstly, it is impossible to turn back. We live in modern world. But, modern world has come out with some new situations. These new situations are political, economic, technological, etc. Both of these approaches don’t solve these problems. We need a new approach, a third way, towards modern world. In this context, the new approach must be our prophet’s method. While our prophet was spreading out the messages of Allah and he was calling to Islam, he applied three ways to change his society. First of all, he changed some practices entirely. For example, interest abolished and replaced karz-ı hasen, a special interest- free lending system. We can call this application revolutionist. Secondly, he revised some practices, for example polygamy didn’t prohibit, but it limited and based on a legal framework. This applications can called reformist. And thirdly, he didn’t change some practices and allowed to go on them. For example, forbidden moths are protected. In this context, Prophet Mohammad says “Good things in Jahiliyya are good in Islam as well.” We can call conservatism for this application. As a consequence, we can say that Islam is not merely revolutionist or merely reformist. Its position changes according to case. So, he offers a model for us to understand the world we live in. We, as Muslims, can understand modern world and figure out our problem with this triple approach.

Bu çalışma, anaokuluna devam eden beş-altı yaşındaki çocukların ebeveyn görüşlerine göre değer düzeylerinin belirlenmesini amaçlayan betimsel bir araştırmadır. Çalışmanın evrenini Ankara ilinde resmi anaokullarında eğitim gören beş-altı yaş gurubu 14.218 çocuk oluşturmuştur. Çalışma grubunu seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemlerinden tabakalı örneklem yöntemiyle seçilen beş yaştan 172, altı yaştan 202, toplamda 374 çocuk oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen “Aile Bilgi Formu” ve “Okul Öncesi Değerler Ölçeği Ebeveyn Formu” kullanılmıştır. Gruplar arasındaki farklılıklar incelenirken normal dağılımdan gelmeyen değişkenler için Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis-H testlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Kruskal Wallis-H Testinde anlamlı farklılıkların görülmesi durumunda Post-Hoc Çoklu Karşılaştırma Testi ile aralarında farklılık olan gruplar belirlenmiştir. Normal dağılımdan gelmeyen değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler incelenirken Spearman’s Korelasyon Katsayısından yararlanılmıştır. Sonuçlar yorumlanırken anlamlılık düzeyi olarak 0,05 kullanılmış olup; p<0,05 olması durumunda anlamlı bir ilişkinin olduğu, p>0,05 olması durumunda ise anlamlı bir ilişkinin olmadığı belirtilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda; çocukların sırasıyla en fazla sorumluluk, saygı, işbirliği, dürüstlük, dostluk/arkadaşlık ve paylaşım değerlerini edindikleri saptanmıştır. Ortanca ve son çocukların değer puanları ilk çocuklardan anlamlı derecede yüksek bulunmuştur. Öğ-renim düzeyleri yüksek olan ebeveynlerin çocuklarının değer puanları, öğrenim düzeyi düşük olan ebeveynlerin çocuklarının değer puanlarından yüksektir. Yüksek ve orta gelir grubunda olan çocukların puanlarının düşük gelir grubunda yer alan çocukların puanlarından anlamlı derecede yüksek bulunmuştur. Çocukların yaşı arttıkça değer edinim düzeyleri artmaktadır. Kardeş sayısı ve ebeveynlerin yaşlarıyla değer edinim düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişkinin olmadığı saptanmıştır. This descriptive study aims to determine the value levels of children in the age group of five-six attending official kindergartens according to teacher views. Target population of the study consisted of 14.218 children in the age group of five-six attending official kindergartens in Ankara. Study group consisted of 172 children from the age group of five, 202 children from the age group of six and a total of 374 children who were selected with stratified sampling method, which is among random sampling methods. “Family Information Form” that was developed by the researcher and “Family’s Form for Preschool Values Scale” that was developed were used in the study. Differences between the groups were examined by using Mann Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis-H tests for normally distributed variables. Groups that had significant differences in the Kruskal Wallis-H Test were determined by using Post-Hoc Multiple Comparison Test. Relations between the variables that were not normally distributed were examined by using Spearman’s Correlation Coefficient. As a result of the study; it was determined that children respectively adopted the values of; Responsibility, Respect, Cooperation, Honesty, Friendship and Sharing respectively. The Middle/median and the youngest children value scores were significantly higher than their first child. The Children with higher educated parents have higher value scores than the children with lower educated parents. The scores of children in the high and middle income groups were significantly higher than the scores of the children in the low income groups. As the children grow older the level of value acquisition increases. There was no significant relationship between the number of siblings and their parents’ age.
