The article aims to review the representation of philosophical content in the Russian language Internet
fragment. The author uses the following criteria, namely the representation of forms of philosophical knowledge,
its theming, the degree of institutionalization, degree of interactivity, motives of participants of communication.
It presents a typology according to which philosophical Runet form from the following ingredients, namely:
consolidated, formal, specialized, magazine websites, electronic libraries and online communities.
Aggregated sites form a very general level on the Internet. They reduce all available information on
the philosophical sites together, as well as reduce it to users interested in these topics.
Official sites philosophical research and educational institutions are administrative and reported
information.
Three sites are three academic institutes of philosophy, namely, Moscow, Yekaterinburg and Novosibirsk.
Of these, the Institute of Philosophy in Moscow has the largest, branched and multi-site, which can be called
a portal.
Professionals and amateurs interested in any section, direction or period in the history of world thoughts
create specialized sites.
For example, there are sites dedicated to the methodology, history of ideas, logic, philosophy of science,
philosophical anthropology. They differ from the thematic educational portals and online libraries that are
going interactive communication for the professionals in these fields, who share their works, discuss them,
organize meetings, seminars and conferences.
Another type of websites philosophical content is magazines, which are divided into electronic equivalents
of paper and electronic. The majority are electronic versions of paper journals as the most famous and electronic
analogs of university and college “Bulletins.”
There are many sites of electronic libraries, which are replacing the traditional libraries, where there is the
greatest concentration of philosophical gigabytes of information.
Finally, the most interesting philosophical sites are philosophical clubs and communities. There is really
a new form of communication. Their main types are club amateur and “live journal” communities.
