Small scale manufacturing industries started implementing the green concept in their supply chain management recently to focus on environmental issues. Maximum of the small scale industries are setting up their own manufacturing plants in economical Indian market. Owing to community consciousness, economic, environmental or governmental reasons, the obligation of green supply chain management has been in demand. In this framework, this study purposes to improve an important model of the barriers to implement green supply chain management in north Indian small scale industry. We have recognized numerous barriers and background relationships between the identified barriers. Arrangement of barriers has been carried out based upon requirement and driving power with the support of MIC-MAC analysis. In accumulation to this, a structural model of barriers to implement green supply chain management in north Indian small scale industry has also been place forward using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) technique. Sixteen numbers of applicable barriers have been recognized from literature and following debates with professionals from industry. Available of which, four numbers of barriers have been identified as dependent variables; six numbers of barriers have been identified as the independent variables andsix numbers of barriers have been identified as the linkage variables. Elimination of these barriers has also been argued. Concluded this paper we donate to identify the barriers to implement green supply chain management in north Indian small scale industry and to overgrown them. The structured model developed will assistance to appreciate interdependence of the barriers.

Wearable robotics is gradually becoming an emerging research field and a few applications of wearable rehabilitation robots have been proposed in the literature to reinstate activities of daily life (ADL) in people suffering from motor disorders. This paper discusses the classification of wearable robots, technologies involved in wearable robots, human robot physical interaction. There is brief description of technologies involved in the wearable robotics such as kinematic compatibility between human limbs and wearable robots, application of load to humans and control of human-robot interaction. Wearable robot technologies include sensor technologies, actuator technologies and portable energy storage technologies. Few wearable robots instances have been discussed with regard to their mechanism, software, system architecture, and user interface and safety issues.

This paper describes the development of a response model for electrical discharge machining inconel X750 utilizing response surface methodology. The metal removal rate (MRR), models are developed in terms of Pulse peak current (Ip), Pulse on time (Ton), Gap voltage (V).The contours have been generated from these model equations and are shown of different plots. The model generated shows that the metal removal rate increases with an increase of pulse on time, and relatively with gap voltage. Metal removal rate decreases when pulse peak current increases.The second order is more accurate based on the variance analysis and the predicted value is closer to the experimental result.

The present study was to design and development of a low cost, automated machine which performs gathering, folding, stamping and processing neatly with a high speed. The machine consists of accuracy gathering detector, paper jam detector and preset counting system. It is supposed to gather two papers and fold them into letter or Z fold. The paper gathering, folding and stamping functions were automated by using an electromechanical motor driven system. Almost all the single paper gathering and folding machines currently available in the market are very expensive. Also none of the machines found with the stamping mechanism. Initial cost for this automated system is very low and running and maintaining costs are also low. This automated system is portable and capable of working independently without much human intervention. Selected materials for the system are also durable and the machine is less of disruptions. Therefore continuous running is possible. Also selected sensors and Arduino control board for the system are very common and inexpensive.

Polymer membranes are widely used in separation technology. Separation performances of such membranes depend on their track or pore size. Sometimes it is challenging to optimise the size in transparent membrane. Here, attempt has been paid to overcome this issue. In present work, we propose the development of nuclear tracks in transparent polymer membrane. Transparent membrane was doped with FeCl3 at very low concentration. Objective for such low doping is just colour the membrane from transparent to yellowish to visualisation of tracks. Irradiation of heavy nuclear particle was used to create loosely bounded structure. These doped irradiated membranes were allowed to etch chemically. Relatively longer etching makes these tracks visible under digital optical microscope. We have reported the variation in track size with etching time.

Digital Signal processing became an application to create high speed data processing systems like 3D rendering, 4G mobile internet, etc., we need best processors with high performance data path units and there is a growing need for research on alternative methods for signal processing hardware implementation. In most systems using digital signal processing Multiply-Accumulate (MAC) is one of the main functions. The performance of the whole system depends on the performance of the MAC units in place. Regardless of that these days’ real time signal processing systems require high throughput and high performance MAC units. A MAC unit is simply one of the main units in all Digital Signal Processors which performs the multiplication of two numbers of any radix and accumulates the by-products in order. In this paper, a floating point multiply and accumulate unit is designed using ancient mathematics that reduces the number of partial products to be added as well as increases the speed of accumulation of partial products by reducing the number of stages of partial products that needs to be added thereby making it a high performance unit. The output of this unit is simulated using simulation software ModelSim SE plus 6.2C and the language used is VHDL.

This paper reports the experimental results of the dielectric behaviour of mixture of different types of fertilizers and soil at L, S and C frequency bands. A simple and rapid measurement method using microwave free-space transmission technique is used for measuring the dielectric constant. The variations in dielectric constant of soil with different concentration of various fertilizers like Boric Acid, NPK, Potash and Urea are studied extensively. Measurement has been performed using Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) and antenna/soil sample holder. The sample-mixtures are prepared by mixing different fertilizers in soil according to the statistics provided by the Department of Agriculture.

The analysis and design of hydrodynamic journal bearings has a great attention to the engineers. Emphasis has been given to design those bearings so as to avoid metal-to-metal contact .To design these elements, few important characteristics, like load-carrying capacity, maximum pressure and their location lubricant flow requirement between mating surfaces and so on are to be predicted accurately. These parameters can be determined if the pressure within the clearance space between contact surfaces is known. To study and find this pressure one has to solve in general the Reynolds’s equation that governs the flow of lubricant inside the clearance space. Moreover the accuracy of the results obtained by FEM is mainly depends on the proper finite element modeling that includes proper selection of the type and size of finite elements and solution algorithm. As computing cost and time increases the size (i.e. the number) of elements increases, one has to determine the minimum number of elements those can be used to obtain the accurate solution. Therefore this work is aimed to study the effect of number of finite elements on the computed result of hydrodynamic journal bearing and to determine minimum number of finite elements to be used in the analysis of the journal bearing.
