It is said in Common Programs: „The order and value of the world are historically determined and varying. They have to be responsibly built and protected by nowadays people“.
The basic aim of Natural Scientific Education is the organization of the conditions for development of the pupils’ literacy of Natural Science issues. The pursue is to offer the knowledge for pupils about the nature and its environment and the skills that would help to understand the world and to develop these key values:
1. The respect for living and non-living nature the responsibility for saving it.
2. The self-respect and respect for others who are partial to everything what is happening around, the responsibility for oneself, ones actions, caring of others.
3. Initiative, activity, creativity, openness to alteration, searching for new ideas, the demand for improving. According to Professor Elena Šapokiene “The nature is one of the most attractive activities form for pupils”. We have persuaded this by ourselves in educating students of new things about the nature during the lessons. As we noticed, students are interested in a lot of various subjects. It is much better to touch, to smell or see the plants or animals alive than in the image. That’s why the most of the time we educate to recognize the nature outdoors. We organize excursions to various places of Lithuania, for instance, Anykščiai, Druskininkai, Klaipėda. We are talking about the nature care during all lessons; we realize it practically in after-school activities. Also we organize events related to environment protection, such as, actions, quizzes, feasts, get-togethers, making projects. By teaching knowledge of nature, we educate creative person. The usage of Information technology makes creative activities and gives the opportunity to consolidate, to add the variety of themes, also stimulate motivation and organize active movements of pupils. Good feelings, love of nature, respect for ourselves and others have to naturalize in childhood. Working, trouble and tremble for beauty of nature develop the humanity goodness, mildness and goodwill. No manner of book forms to love or to respect the nature, as we do.
