The nanoparticle of barium zirconate titanate (BZT) ceramic was synthesized by solid state reaction method at 1200°C. Single perovskite phase having cubic symmetry is confirmed by X-Ray Diffraction. There are two transition temperatures present around 200K and 330K. The dielectric properties reveal that BZT is a relaxor ferroelectric confirmed by diffusion of two phases (tetragonal and cubic phase). The dielectric constant of BZT ceramics exhibited broad peaks curve near the Tm. This behavior may be caused by the inhomogeneous distribution of Zr4+ ions into the Ti sites and/or by the mechanical stresses on the grains. The broadness indicates the diffuse phase transition from ferroelectric to paraelectric phase. That is to say, there is diffuse transition behavior in BaZr0.5Ti0.5O3 ceramics.

Steganography is the art of information hiding in video, images and audio helps to prevent an unauthorised copying directly. It can useful in Military communications and some other applications as well where rather than concealing the content of a message using encryption, look for to conceal its sender, its receiver or even the existence of some information. The paper is implemented to deal with the information hiding in compressed video in motion vectors i.e we can say video steganography. Because images and raw videos are vulnerable to attacks, in compressed video we focused on the motion vectors to hide the information by making use of forward predictive (P) frames and bidirectional (B) frames.

In comparison to PID controller, the PI controller is simpler but exhibits slower response and also provides some steady state error in speed. Perhaps PI controller can be easily implemented with simple operational amplifier circuits. Nonlinear control systems are affected by inaccuracies in the plant model. SMC is considered as an important control technique for such sort of control problems. A transfer function, a feedback control law and some models representing the uncertainty are the typical components of a robust controller. The SMC is robust but slow and suffers from the problem of chattering apart from being more difficult to realize. Adaptive Sliding Mode Controller (ASMC), on the other hand, is fast, more robust, and free from problem of chattering. However, it requires a larger memory for real time implementation and is difficult to realize. Hence Fuzzy Sliding Mode Controller (FSMC) is proposed and it is found to perform well as compared to ASMC, in terms of robustness and learning capability

The Protection scheme is suggested for the detection of various faults in the Distributed Generation System and also for the detection of various faults in the interconnected network at different locations. In this method, positive components of currents are retrieved at fault location and are decomposed to get detailed coefficients of wavelet transforms. The concerned singular value matrices, and expected entropy values are calculated. Based on the Wavelet Shannon Entropy calculated. Indexes are defined to detect the fault. ‘Haar’ Wavelet Transform is used for the extraction of frequency components. The major priority of the protection scheme proposed is to reduce the tripping time to 10ms from the inception of fault occurrence. The proposed scheme for the detection of various faults is investigated in MATLABSIMULINK software environment.

This paper deals with a new solution for Low voltage ride through of a grid connected DFIG with field-oriented control (vector control). Control itself acting a very vitalpart in drives and wind turbine technology. Control of the DFIG when generating energy in a wind turbine is essential and obvious. The control techniques used for DFIG are vector control (field-oriented control) and direct control technique.In vector control of a DFIG, the components of the d and the q axis components of the rotor currents and voltages are measured with PI controllers. If a reference frame oriented with the stator flux is used, the active and reactive power flows of the stator can be measured by independently by resources of quadrature and the direct current, respectively. By means of the direct current, we can control the active power whereas the reactive power can be measured via the quadrature current.A Dynamic modelling of DFIG is presented. In our power system, in way to keep constant power, voltage and frequency we use DFIG. In this a complete study is done to study the field-oriented control characteristics of DFIG by using rotor current control loops and grid voltage-oriented vector control. This system modelled in MATLAB/Simulink environment.

The operation of Fuzzy logic controller in medium voltage direct current (MVDC) link is described by using a DC link with medium voltage distribution network with back to back connected to AC system. This consideration is designed using MATLAB and demonstrate the dynamic performance of MVDC link. Here studies the real (P) and reactive (Q) power flows through the link, shows the voltage and currents at the both sides of the MVDC link and controlling of the currents in the system by using fuzzy logic controller in the inverter side.

In this research work, the electrical characteristics of the double gate FinFET have been simulated for different channel materials. Three materials, Silicon (Si), Germanium (Ge) and Silicon-Germanium (SiGe) has been considered for simulating the drain current VS gate voltage of the FinFET. The characteristics of the threshold voltage of FinFET have also been studied for these three channel materials. The channel length has been considered 50nm. After analyzing the simulations, it has been proposed the smooth increase of drain current with the gate voltage for different values of drain voltage and the less decrease of the threshold voltage for higher drain voltage can be achieved for Silicon-Germanium (SiGe) channel of the FinFET.

Data mining refers to the entire process of extracting useful and novel patterns or models form large data sets. With the widespread use of medical information systems that include databases, which have recently featured explosive growth in their sizes, physicians and medical researchers are faced with a problem of making use of the stored data. Data mining can be used to help predict future patient behavior and to improve treatment programs. By identifying high-risk patients, clinicians can better manage the care of patients today so that they do not become the problems of tomorrow. One of the most dreaded diseases in Nigeria today is Malaria. Lots of drug has been discovered for this but it is noticed that most of the drugs are not effective in everyone. When a new drug is introduced unexpected drug reaction go unnoticed until large numbers of cases are reported by the diagnosed patients. Therefore, in exploring the capability of data mining so that the drug prescribed by the doctor is more efficient and of low risk of reactions to patients, this project was embarked upon. Drug reaction can occur during treatment with pharmaceutical products. It can result in unnecessary and often fatal harm to patients. Several factors are responsible for the reaction of drug such as the patient’s age, sex, blood group and genotype. Every anti – malarial has side effect and their rate of severity depends on this factors. Hence this model was developed to mine reaction of drugs in patients. The plots showed that different anti – malarial has different local support and also have different level of reaction compared to each other. From the model generated from the mined data set of the university health center using Apriori algorithm, it was recommended that, patient already having any symptom that is the same with the drug reaction that has exceeded the confidence value should not be given such drug.

This paper proposes a finite set model predictive control of doubly fed induction generator under unbalanced grid voltage conditions. The generation of sufficient power which equals the load demand and grid voltage stability is the major concerns that are to be addressed during the last decade. When the high capacity wind power generation is synchronized with the power grid, several problems in the dynamic behaviour of the power system are raised. During grid faults the transients are observed in the power system; when transients, occur the low voltage ride through is the major concern for the wind turbine to be in stable state. During this period the wind turbines inject harsh distorted currents in to the power system due to the unbalanced grid voltage conditions. The doubly fed induction generators are most commonly used in the wind turbine due to the presence of low voltage ride through (LVRT) and high voltage ride through (HVRT) capabilities. This paper provides a complete study on the LVRT and HVRT capabilities of DFIG based wind turbines. It also analyses dynamic behaviour and transient characteristics of DFIG during symmetrical and asymmetrical grid voltage swell and dip conditions. The effectiveness of the theoretical analysis is verified by using MATLAB/Simulink.

Electricity has huge impact on country’s economy, unwanted outages(faults) results loss of economy .To prevent loss an accurate techniques are need to restore system to normal condition. it is necessary to differentiate the algorithms on efficiency in classifying faults, so this study confer comparison of two techniques for classifying faults in transmission lines. One is build on current phasors and another is works on wavelet analysis. Wavelet analysis method uses swt(standard wavelet transform) that has an advantage over discrete wavelet transform to process current signals. while phasor based method which develops to overcome the complications faced by older methods using phasors to classify. current phasor method measures phase angle around sequence component currents. The two algorithms are studied with both matlab and simulink model at various fault location, inception and resistance for multiple faults. Studies shows that wavelet analysis method has a head over the phasor based method.

Induction machines are commonly used in various applications. They have many uses compared to other motors, as 80% of the motors used in industries are induction motors. But due to their continuous working and movement, they are exposed to many faults. In this paper, we represent a new type of diagnosis technique which is called Fuzzy Logic to diagnose and detect the induction motor faults that may take place during the operation to help the operator to make the right decision to deal with this fault. This paper presents SIMULINK induction motor model using SIMULINK in MATLAB software, and also distinguishes between healthy and defective motor by analyzing three types of faults, Rotor Faults, Stator Faults, and Mechanical or Bearing Faults.

The Point of Common Coupling (PCC) where supplier’s responsibilities and customer’s demands meet is of great concern. The generated quantity of electric power delivered to load centers of distribution systems from generating stations show differences; these differences are classified as technical losses. This research work presents Enhanced Optimal Sizing and Siting of Distributed Generation (DG) for Power Quality Improvement of Suleja Distribution Network. Electrical Transient Analysis Program (ETAP) load flows studies are made to compute the technical losses and application of Genetic Algorithm Optimization techniques programmed in MATLAB 2015 Software in 43- bus distribution system were used. The total load of the system considered as based case was (3490 + j2700) kVA. Active and Reactive power losses in the system before DG installations were 246.300 kW and 289.903 kVAR respectively. DGs installation in the case study, has a considerable effects on loss reduction in the network. It is observed that 8.10% and 7.20% for active and reactive power loss reduction respectively were achieved while bus voltage improved by 0.4%. These satisfied the objective functions that compute present percentage losses, identified buses with poor voltage profile and determination of optimal sizing and siting of DGs where losses can be mitigated and power quality improved.

In distributed power systems, the integration of renewable energy sources and DC loads are increasing day by day. Medium Voltage Direct Current (MVDC) is a modern concept to meet the DC demandwith high reliability and feasibility. A simulation model of hybrid configuration merging both MVDC and ESS (Energy Storage System) for solar and wind energies have been modelled, simulated, and compared. To get a bidirectional power flow, the ESS is connected to a Bidirectional DC-DC converter. In this paper, the comparative performance of the MVDC distribution network integrated with ESS is evaluated for solar and wind energy sources. The study's main contribution is obtaining a coordinated operation of MVDC and ESS, which performs via a supervisory control scheme that defines the set-points for the control loops in each converter.

The concept of this paper is to control the active power and reactive power for three-phase grid-connected inverters. Here, we have the proposed that the control strategy of Model Predictive Control (MPC) be used instead of pi controllers. Comparing with traditional current control methods, a linear model of the load is needed to adjust the pi controllers. In the case of MPC, it will calculate predictions for each voltage vector, a discrete model of the load that does not need to be linear. The performance of the pi controllers depends on the
values, and their adjustments. There are no parameters to adjust in MPC, but the cost function must be defined. And the proposed method MPC has a better dynamic performance,  ,
 and it will give transient dynamics recovery time and overshoot will have been considerably improved. Conclusively, the simulation results are allowed to confirm the efficiency of the proposal.
