This paper proposes a method that is based on the radial basis function (RBF) neural network, to estimate the state of health (SOH), for the LiFePO4 (LFP) batteries in discharging condition. The proposed method contains three hardware’s, namely the battery voltage detection interface, discharge current detection interface, battery impedance measure interface. With a micro-processor integrated, the proposed SOH estimator is able to digital control which can improve the estimator reliability. The software of the proposed SOH estimator is the RBF neural network. The architectures of proposed RBF neural network, used in this paper contain three layers, an input layer, a hidden layer and an output layer. In order to demonstrate the accuracy of the proposed estimation method, the method has been tested using LFP batteries under several kinds discharging conditions. The accuracy of the proposed SOH estimation method is evaluated using two indices, namely the maximum absolute percentage error (MaxAPE) and the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE). The test results show that, the proposed RBF neural network based estimation method is accurate and effective.

This paper deals with the design and fabrication of basic Linear Induction Motor (LIM), suitable for Traction application. The different concepts of the motor that are in common with other rotating machines, are identified and studied. An Aluminum sheet lay over iron core, acts as the rotor and the stator is designed for Double Layer winding, having 2 poles. The use of Linear Induction Motors (LIM) ranges from slow moving sliding doors to high speed trains across the globe.

The global electrical energy consumption is ascending rate, in order to meet the growing demand, there is a need to increase the power generation capacity. Nowadays, solar energy plays an important role due to limited availability of fossil fuels. The efficiency of PV is very low and power output mainly depends on solar insulation level. DC-DC converters play a vital role in many applications such as Solar Electric Vehicle, Solar Water Pumping, which mainly required boosting the lower input voltage. In order to boost the input voltage to BLDC motor and its efficient operation, various DC-DC converter topologies are used. This paper deals with two such topologies such as interleaved boost converters and CUK converter. The comparison has been made between these two topologies based on the performance of converters with resistive load, with BLDC motor and the effect of irradiance. The performance of the system has been validated using MATLAB/Simulink

Image processing plays an important role in the field of medicine. Medical imaging is a growing and challenging Field and is advantageous in diagnosing the disease. As Brain tumor is a serious and dangerous disease, medical imaging provides a proper diagnosis of brain tumor. Many techniques are available to detect brain tumor from MRI images. These methods face challenges like finding the location and size of the tumor from the brain. Reliable algorithms are required for the exact position of anatomical structures and other regions of interest through image segmentation. Already, various algorithms are developed for image segmentation. In this review paper, the basic terminologies of brain tumor and MRI images, review of various brain tumor segmentation techniques are analyzed. With increasing use of Magnetic resonance imaging for diagnosis, treatment planning and clinical studies, it has become almost compulsory to use computers to assist radiological experts in clinical diagnosis and in treatment planning.
