Numerical analysis of staggered wired mesh matrix (SWMM) regenerative heat exchanger has been done and the performance of SWMM has been evaluated experimentally. The range of parameters considered was Reynolds number from 2208 to 4766 and porosity from 0.83 to 0.88. The experimental results revealed that the effectiveness of heat exchanger decreases with time for uniform mass flow rate and with the increase in mass flow rate for a given time.

This paper is elaborated the works done in studying dynamic response analysis of flexible, lightweight vehicle chassis using CAE tools. The dynamic response analysis is implemented to analyze the lightweight material as pursue the automaker’s goal in making of the lighter vehicle. Light weighting is the concept that being used by an automaker in order to overcome same the fuel consumption and performance. This analysis is developed by comparing between the conventional structure which is steel and aluminum as an alternative material which is more lighterlighter than steel, as one of the ways in reducing the weight of a vehicle. This simulation model is designed with the geometric and conditions similarity for both types of material to develop the accurate analysis of dynamic response analysis of lightweight vehicle chassis. The study on the chassis is developed on the go-kart model. The simulation model of go-kart is developed as a multi-body model which is consisted of four tires linked to the chassis. The tires receive the disturbance force from the road and transmit to the chassis. The cChassis is the important structure that carried the entire load attached to the vehicle such as, engine system, braking systems and steering systems. Chassis structure also carried the driver who is affected by vibration. As the go-kart model is designed without suspension systems, thus, the chassis structure can produce high level of vibration from the little source of disturbance. This vibration phenomena would effect on human healthy if exceeds the limit of endurance. The effect of the vibration of on the structure is measured in acceleration, velocity and displacement. To validate the simulation model, the result of the physical model is used. Through this dynamic response analysis, indicating the steel chassis produces high levels of vibrationshow steel chassis is produced with high levels of vibration rather than aluminum chassis. This simulation analysis method has is described the ability of CAE in order analyzed the anticipated disturbance during the design stage of lightweights vehicle

An impeller design for a respirator is addressed in several text books and research articles. According to practiced methods, the overall dimensions and properties of an impeller can be determined using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and thermodynamic relations. Designing impeller for a respirator is important for fluid flow analysis. The impeller meridional profile is an important detail as a significant influence on the performance. Four, Six blade impellers are commonly used in the industries presently. In this study; I have proposed 20 blade impeller, in order to increase the outlet flow velocity and cutting down the cost. Also, Comparison between these impellers is are made in respect of to other aspects like material, outlet velocity, fluid discharge, and efficiency. The material used for 4, 6 blade impellers is are steel and the material used for 20 blade impeller is Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) which is used to reduce noise and cutting down the cost of the impeller.

Rapid prototyping (RP) refers to a class of technology that can automatically construct physical models from computer aided design (CAD) data. Reduction of product development cycle time is a major concern in industries for achieving competitive advantage. So, the focus of industries has shifted from traditional product development methodology to rapid fabrication techniques. The Fused deposition modeling (FDM) is a one of the rapid prototyping (RP) technology by which physical objects are created directly from CAD model using layer by layer deposition of extruded material. The quality of FDM produced parts is significantly affected by various parameters used in the process. In this present work three important process parameter of the FDM process such as layer thickness, part builds orientation and raster width are considered.. The powerful Taguchi’s method is used for design of experiments because of it can be provide simplification of design plans and reduced the number of experimental runs. Specimens are prepared for compressive test and impact test as per ASTM standards. The signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio is used to get the contribution of each parameter. The validity of process parameters and response is tested by using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Through this study the main process parameter that affects the quality of prototype can be found. At this end, Artificial neural network is carried out. The ANN models are developed in order to predict compressive and impact strength of test specimen. The experimental data and data obtained by ANN is closely correlated which validated the models. After completing the experiments we have found that the mechanical properties and surface roughness of the test specimens is increasing with the increase in layer thickness and decrease in the part build orientation. The major reason for weak strength of FDM processed parts may be attributed to distortion within the layer or between the layers while building the parts due to temperature gradients
