In this paper we describe a case where the top management of a small holding company is involved in a love-hate relationship with its own IT department. The top management firmly believes that IT staff is involved in leaking out company’s secrets. However, having no expertise in IT and even lesser grasp on the complexity of IT architecture resulting from recent mergers and acquisition, the top management finds itself crucially dependent on its IT systems, yet unable to trust them fully. The theories of deterrence and reasoned action are used to explain the otherwise objectionable behaviour of the perpetrator.

This article’s aim is to analyse the benefits of using the tools of systems thinking when the auditor is communicating the results of an internal audit to management. Auditing is seen as an independent and objective consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organization’s processes. In this framework, the system archetype is designed as a general causal loop model; based on this model, a system dynamics model of stocks and flows is then generated which is applicable for the purpose of audits of all processes of best practices of COBIT. By using the systemic approach within COBIT, the author illustrates the possibility to show a different perspective than the ones derived from traditional linear approaches which are not adequate for complete solutions to longstanding problems in the field of internal audits.

The article deals with the specifics of the three layer architecture of software for automatic detection and identification of persons, objects and relationships in unstructured data. The data layer consists of data acquisition and data management modules. The application layer is composed of separate modules that can be combined to meet the needs of specific investigative tasks. The presentation layer makes the analysis of results for police investigation. The overall solution is demonstrated on develop the system ARIO which is applicable for a range of national and international institutions as well as private entities.

Thanks to its wide range of targeting, Internet has become a very attractive medium for advertisers. Although the current technologies can collect data about an individual's online activities and utilize it for a precise targeting, the traditional way of targeting based on affinity is still widely used. The goal of this paper is to evaluate the possibility of the traditional way of demographic targeting by gender and age on the Czech Internet thorough data mining of NetMonitor database. Research findings show that, in certain cases, traditional affinity-based ad targeting can be effective. This is especially true when targeting men and younger users. On the other hand, this method also generates wasted ad impressions outside the target group. This is particularly problematic when targeting elderly users. Modern techniques of ad targeting which are based on tracking users’ activities are likely to further expand.

The article focuses on examples of the presence of the banking and telecommunications sector on Google+. In the first part investigated set is described, and then the individual profiles are discussed from the perspective of the ways of their use and also behaving of company representatives is mentioned. In the second part of the article chosen posts of important individuals on Google+ related to the investigated sectors are discussed. The difference was found in the ways how companies use their profiles, in the posting frequency, communication styles and goals, as well as in the form of responses to critical posts and comments. Also, the examples of the contributions of significant individuals were described where the response of the representative contributed to the further conflict escalation and spread through social network.

While we are living in rapidly changing environment driven by the online services, marketing has been rather reluctant in serious apprehending of these consequences. We do not aim to analyse this complex delay that we call conceptual jetlag here. (Conceptual consciousness of marketing is far behind the velocity of the plane online services.) Rather we try to establish certain switchback that is driven by concept of philosophy by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari and the artistic notion of postinternet. By these means we aim at unveiling the general drive of marketing: The product (take Photoshop as an instance) is meant not only to satisfy our needs and desires. It is creates them. This basic assumption of marketing and the dominance of online environment can elucidate each other since the "fluid ontology" of virtual environment consists precisely in the possibility of being formed by the will of its users.

In the last fifteen years we can observe significant rise in the number and seriousness of the data breaches among the companies dealing with customer data. The aim of many analyses was to determine the impact of these breaches on market value, focusing on the breaches prior to 2008. The aim of this article is to present the findings from the analysis focused on 27 companies that suffered data breach between 2008 and 2012.

This article aims to provide a brief and comprehensive introduction to the issue of cyber warfare and to display the recent development in this area. Geographically, it focuses on the Middle East region, since the vast majority of the most important recent cyber attacks appeared just in there or were connected to it. The first part of the article tries to define the key notion of cyber warfare, compares it to the standard warfare and presents different types of cyber weapons that are known today. The second part points out examples of the most striking recent cyber attacks and uses them as evidences to demonstrate today's importance and dissemination of cyber warfare. Finally, the article sums up pros and cons of the cyber weapons and, in view of these, predicts a significant increase in their use in any future war conflicts.

The present time is characterized by an ever-increasing amount of acquired and processed data. The aim of this article is to highlight the diversity of currently used data sources, to show their specifics in terms of quality control and introduce own methodology that allows data and information quality management across these sources. The main component of this methodology is a set of basic principles and actions that can be universally applied. One of the key recommendations of this methodology is to focus on a relatively small set of data characteristics, which is relatively easy to manage. Part of the methodology is also a Data Source Maturity Model which could be used to assess the risk associated with the use of a particular data source.

This work deals with the analysis, comparison and design of interconnection between streaming, detection and tracking technologies in the multi-camera environment. The goal is design of predictive tracking system with ability to track object in real time across multiple cameras and also with ability to stream video from one source with the best display of object. There was designed a metric for rating each source of system, which is based on current position, size or detection reliability of tracked object in the scene. It was also designed mechanisms and methods for prediction of video source rating, for prediction next streamed source and methods for stream control.

This paper deals with the problem of modelling continuous systems. For simulate a PID controller, we used virtual environment Matlab. The goal of this article is to give information about the topic of the basic regulators PI PD simulation and PID too. Eventually, solved issues have to bring to professionals simple overview of how to simulate fundamental regulators’ types in Matlab enviroment. In this paper is like a tool for modelling of dynamic systems applied Matlab. Matlab was developed by The Math Works Inc. This software has a wide application in various fields of science and technology. In the theory of automatic control is becoming even one of the most used software tools in the world. MATLAB just like any other simulation program means allow to express some thoughts in several ways. The advantage of Matlab is the opportunity to work with blocks of similar blocks commonly used in schemes for control technology. Dynamic systems which need to be modelled can be assembled from standard blocks. These are predefined in libraries Simulink and with using simple copying them can be applied their directly in Matlab.
