This study presents a new kind of maximum power point tracking algorithm based on perturb and observe algorithm and incremental conductance algorithm compare. A generalized photovoltaic array simulation model in MATLAB/Simulink environment is developed and presented. This paper presents in details comparative study between two most popular algorithms technique which is incremental conductance algorithm and perturb & observe algorithm. Considering the effect of solar irradiance and temperature changes, the output current and voltage of PV modules are simulated and optimized using this model. Cuk converter use for comparative study. Few comparisons such as efficiency, voltage, current and power output for each different combination has been recorded in this paper. Cuk converters are considered as possible dc–dc converters that can be cascaded. MATLAB simulations are used to compare the efficiency of each topology as well as evaluating the benefits of increasing cost and complexity. The cuk converters are shown to be the most efficient topologies for a given cost, with the cuk best suited for long strings. The proposed model is designed with a user-friendly icon and a dialog box like Simulink block libraries.

This paper presents three methods for controlling the flow of liquids. This is highly important in industrial applications such as boilers in nuclear power plants. The paper investigates the effectiveness of water flow rate using Proportional-Integral-Derivative (PID), Fuzzy Logic (FL) and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy (ANFS) controllers. These three controllers are implemented in MATLAB/SIMULINK to test the behaviour of the system. The responses of the three controllers are compared with each other. The results show that the ANFIS is the best controller than the other two controllers, with small overshoot, minimal rise time and zero steady state error.

Concrete is the major component of construction industries used extensively as a building material. Cement is one of the basic component of concrete used as binding material. With the increasing demand of concrete demand of cement is also increasing throughout the world. The production of cement is accompanied with huge energy con-sumption and emission of harmful gases that results in environmental pollution. In order to overcome these prob-lems, it is necessary to reduce the use of cement in concrete by its partial replacement by some supplementary ce-ment products. Based on recent researches and studies it has been observed that the use of metakaolin as a supple-mentary cementing material in concrete improves not only the properties of concrete but also reduces the environ-mental pollution. Metakaolin react with Ca(OH)2 and convert into CSH gel which result in improve the strength properties. This paper reviews the use of metakaolin as a supplementary cementing material in concrete. This research work focus on the design of bio-waste grinding machine for Anaerobic Digestion (AD) system. Two different conceptual designs were drawn; the best conceptual design was selected for detail design using decision matrix. The results obtained from the detail design show that a grinding force and power of 150N and 2.5 horse power (HP) were required for grinding an average mass of 5.87 kg of bio-waste. The machine was evaluated for performance and from the analysis, the machine was efficient (71.08%) and it was able to grind the bio-waste to the required sizes. Besides, the fine particles size has shorter hydraulic retention time (HRT) and an improved bio-gas yields. Therefore, for optimum biogas yields, bio-waste grinding machine is required.
