An approach to creating an expert system for evaluating equipment losses in combat actions has been described in this paper. In loss evaluation there is a high degree of uncertainty and ambiguity. Therefore, the mathematical tool-fuzzy-logic has been applied. This easily applicable system anticipates the size and the structure of losses thus enabling the operating maintenance plan to be prepared in due time as well as the anticipation of necessary resources for maintenance organization in a particular period.

Acoustic signature of maritime targets (war-ships or submarines) for underwater weapons (mines) has been realized. The acoustic field of the ship as well as its appearance and its characteristic have been studied, along with the explanation and display of the dependence on certain parameters. The elements of the structure of acoustic field of the ship - submarine and sea noise are described as well as their relating in order to differentiate useful signals from the ambient noise.

This paper deals with a mathematical basis used for formatting the Digital Models of Relief (DMR) of the Earth's physical land surface. The theoretical and mathematical basis is described and mathematical expressions for approximation of the lines and surface elements in formatting relief's space structural features are given. These expressions are significant for the selection of appropriate solutions while using computer support in the DMR making procedure. The selections depend on their application and a required accuracy.

Level crossings represent bottlenecks from the aspect of vehicle capacity as one of basic parameters for traffic flow. From the railway traffic aspect they represent weak points on railway tracks due to rails exposure to the dynamic influence of road vehicles. In order to protect traffic safety appropriate triangles ought to be provided for railway tracks in direction as well as for tracks in curves and low trenches. Participants in road traffic are more in danger than participants in railway traffic. On level crossings with intensive dynamic of railway traffic time and material losses in road traffic are more significant. All aspects of these specific bottlenecks are treated in this paper as well as their effects on military road transportation.

In order to function according to defined requirements, technical systems should be also optimized from the aspect of logistic support. The tasks of logistic support and the activities for their realization have been given taking into account the overall life cycle of technical systems. Since technical systems are being developed and used through the following phases study, preliminary analysis, realization program, design (project or preliminary project), materialization (functional model, test specimen prototype, prototype series), production conquering, mass production, service and maintenance, characteristic activities have been presented for each of the given phases or their parts.

In the analysis of projectile flight dynamics it is of utmost importance to know the values of aerodynamic coefficients and their derivatives. The calculation of flight path elements and projectile flight stability is practically impossible without these values. The purpose of this paper is the automation in the process of calculation of unguided projectile aerodynamic coefficients for different angles of attack. The movement of every projectile with axial symmetry in space consists of mass center translation and rotation around its own mass center. The flight of these projectiles is characterized by the conditions of slight perturbances, supposing that angles of attack do not exceed several degrees. This fact enables the application of laws of linear aerodynamics while calculating aerodynamic characteristics or their derivatives. The projectile often has complex geometric configuration and the calculation of aerodynamic characteristics is thus connected with the previous knowledge of aerodynamics of their configuration elements. The program solution AERO 1 is made in FORTRAN, it is universal and can be applied to all classical projectiles without fins.

The GMSK modulation technique has very good characteristics as well as perspective. Its efficiency is proved by the application in GMS mobile systems. The Software Defined Radio opens new dimensions in the design of mobile systems. One of them is the use of laniaries CMP signals.

(not available in English) Iako razvijen prvenstveno za vojne potrebe, sistem za globalno pozicioniranje danas se koristi i u saobraćaju, transportu nafte, gasa i električne energije, geodeziji, poljoprivredi, očuvanju okoline, u rudnicima sa površinskim kopom, rekreaciji, itd. Osim pozicioniranja, GPS je značajan i kao sredstvo za raspodelu jedinstvenog vremena. Razvijene su i razvijaju se nove tehnike za povećanje tačnosti pozicioniranja. Vojni i civilni segment GPS-a danas su po tačnosti izjednačeni, jer je obustavljeno namerno unošenje grešaka u podatke civilnog dela GPS za koordinate i vreme. Osim stalnog praćenja sistema i održavanja deklarisane tačnosti, planiraju se dalja usavršavanja GPS sistema, prvenstveno na planu smanjenja osetljivosti na smetnje i na povećanju osnovne tačnosti. U planu je uvođenje još jednog signala za civilnu upotrebu, kojim će se osnovna greška sistema (bez primene dodatnih tehnika) spustiti ispod 10 metara.

(not available in English) Kreirana metodologija može se koristiti u rešavanju problema projektovanja - reprojektovanja logističkih i sličnih OTS kod kojih je ubrzavanje informacionih i drugih tokova kljucni faktor uspeha [9]. Rezultati dobijeni korišćenjem ove metodologije pri rešavanju problema u praksi dali su zadovoljavajuće rezultate [17]. Ciljevi koji se mogu postići primenom ove metodologije su: povećanje efikasnosti i efektivnosti izvršenja usluge održavanja; veća raspoloživost proizvoda koji su potrebni korisniku; povećanje odgovornosti prema zahtevima korisnika; povećanje kvaliteta i pouzdanosti usluge (nije direktno već indirektno merljivo) i smanjenje troškova poslovanja. Celokupna metodologija zasnovana je na permanentnom traženju racionalnijih rešenja kojima se procesi pojednostavljuju i ubrzavaju. To preferira rešenja sa većom integracijom medu sličnim i zavisnim procesima, jer se kroz postupke kvantifikacije pokazalo da su takva rešenja principijelno uspešnija. Integracija informacionih tokova i delova sistema zahtevaće, verovatno, i promene u ponašanju zaposlenih i stvaranje partnerskih odnosa sa internim i eksternim okruženjem. Dobre rezultate može doneti podizanje mesta u hijerarhiji OTS namenjenog za šefa logističke funkcije (i SOd-a) i njegovo izjednačavanje po značaju sa funkcijama osnovnih delatnosti i razvoja, jer se time odnosi pretvaraju u partnerske, naglašava se značaj pravilne eksploatacije TS i korišćenja drugih materijalnih sredstava, a procesi, pogotovo razvojni ubrzavaju, jer se smanjuje obim potrebne koordinacije. Doseg primene ove metodologije na celinu SOd-a, logističkog ili sličnih OTS može se prikazati okvirom C na slici 2 (prikazana u I delu rada). Primenom ove metodologije ne mogu se reSiti svi problemi koje nameću starost organizacije ili vlasnički odnosi i odnosi moci u OTS. Takođe, ova metodologija se uz poteškoće može primeniti na projektovanje organizacija u kojima su osnovni procesi dugoročnog karaktera (npr. razvojno-istraživačke), jer se usredsređuje na osnovne materijalne i informacione tokove u sistemu od kojih zavisi efikasno i brzo pretvaranje inputa u output, kao i na uzimanje u obzir uticaja ostalih situacionih faktora.

The one-factor experiment design has been applied in the analysis of all input parameters occurring in the two phase flow process in automatic rifle barrels. The parameters predominantly influencing input characteristics have been chosen afterwards. A complete factor experiment plan is given for 24 chosen parameters, with the analysis of each particular parameter as well as of their effects on output characteristics. Parameter effects are ranked regression polynomials with regression coefficients are determined and average value deviation limits are given by dispersion and regression analyses. The complete analysis is carried out for the maximum pressure of powder gases and the muzzle velocity as two significant output characteristics of all arms. Based on calculation results, tabular and graphical 3D presentation of flow parameters is given as a function of projectile time and trajectory.

The definition, classification and designation of elements of planetary gear trains were carried out and their basic characteristics were given in the paper the bases of kinematics of planetary gear trains were presented and possibilities of lock-up modes were analyzed from the special aspect of power circulation. The analysis of basic parameters of planetary gearboxes of some contemporary high speed tracked vehicles was performed and the kinematics schemes of gearboxes were shown. The basic elements of methodology for the creation of optimal kinematics scheme of compound planetary gear trains were described and the obtained optimal solution of the kinematic scheme was analyzed.

Conversion of laser radiation energy into radiated sample heat is the essence of laser application for metal processing. Energy and space-time characteristics of laser beam as well as material properties affect significantly processing results. Applying certain simplifications as well as classical methods, predominantly theories of thermal conductivity electrodynamics and fluid dynamics, there is a relatively easy way to acquire simple formulae for fast engineering calculations and estimations. On the basis of thus obtained conclusions, this paper points out some characteristics of laser radiation interaction with materials, typical for most common application areas such as heat treatment, cutting, drilling welding, marking, etc.

The fundamental principles of the created methodology for designing organizational and technological (business) systems are given on the basis of results of well-known researches. The methodology is conceived in such a way to be applicable to the urde spectrum of possible organizational-technological systems, in particular to those systems where quickening of information and material flows represents the increase of successfulness. The methodology concerns designed systems as a whole with the special emphasis on the specific methodologies of design of technological and organizational sybsystem. Particular procedures for permanent estimations of variety solutions and for assuring design quality are included in the methodology as well. The application of the methodology in practice, in redesigning a specific maintenance system, has given appropriate results.

New aircraft generations face increasingly complex requirements aiming at significant improvement of performances, availability and suitability for maintenance of aviation electronics (avionics). Requested improvements were possible to be realized only by abandoning the sub-system-oriented architecture of integrated avionics and by accepting the function-oriented architecture. Significant improvement in hardware and software development as well as their standardization enabled switching to function-oriented architecture of integrated avionics, together with lower costs. This paper gives a modern approach to future avionics design from the standpoint of physical and functional architecture, information transmission architecture and control.

Results of hundreds of experiments with valves of different resistance dimensions and constructions are in good accordance with theoretical results which shows that theoretical descriptions of valve closing procedures represent a reliable way which should be followed in this field. The theoretical pressure values in the front of a direct air-blast wave have been used to calculate the valve closing time. Since theoretically calculated closing times do not differ from those experimentally measured, it means that simulated parameters of air-blast waves, i.e. parameters of an ABW instrument, have been indirectly verified. The ABW simulation instrument has been described, its calculation has been given as well as the method for experimental determination of shut-off valves closing times.

Under the conditions of technological modernization and constant development of material means, the macrosystem of maintenance of technical material means in the Ground Forces becomes more and more complex. Complexity of technical support in general, and of maintenance as a particular task, have imposed the necessity to apply achievements of modern theoretical as well as practical aspects of logistic engineering and organization in the field of technical maintenance of technical material means in the state of peace as well as war. Flexibility, effectiveness and suitability of existing solutions have been analyzed. It was shown that it is possible to improve the existing solutions and to find new ones in maintenance and optimal use of material sources facilities and human resources. The verification of existing solution in practice has revealed new relations between phenomena and properties, as well as trends of their further development. The paper also points out the reasons for upgrading a uniform technology as a basis for the concept of maintenance of technical material means in the Ground Forces.

(not available in English) Poslednjih decenija, po pravilu, oružane agresije započinju napadom sredstvima iz vazdušnog prostora, a agresor teži da vazduhoplovnim snagama reši svoje konačne ciljeve. Zbog toga protiv-vazdušna odbrana države koja je potencijalna žrtva agresije ima strategijski značaj u osujećivanju namera protivnika, bilo odvraćanjem od agresije ili odbranom. Protivvazdušna odbrana je veoma složena i zasniva se na različitim informacionim, vatrenim i sredstvima za elektronsko izviđanje i protivelektronska dejstva koja treba organizaciono i tehnički povezati u integralan (jedinstven) ekonomičan i efikasan sistem. Maksimalno is-korišćenje potencijalnih mogućnosti pojedinih oružanih sistema u sistemu PVO, pri dejstvu po različitim sredstvima pri njihovom masovnom napadu iz vazdušnog prostora, ili sasređivanju dejstva na određenim pravcima napada, može se postići samo uz maksimalnu koordinaciju dejstva pojedinih oružnih sistema po određenim ciljevima. Procesi koji se pri tome odvi-jaju u sistemu PVO odavno prevazilaze mogućnosti čoveka da ih rešava manuelno. Zbog toga se upravljanje tim procesima ostvaruje povezivanjem snaga i sred-stava PVO u jedinstvenu celinu sistemima automatizacije, odnosno komandno-informacionim sistemima. Komandno-informacioni sistemi PVO veoma su složeni, zasnivaju se na najsavremenijoj računarskoj i informacionoj tehnologiji i skupi su. Da bi se svi podsistemi PVO mogli uvezati u jednu celinu, moraju biti međusobno kompatibilni sa stanovišta povezivanja. Promašaji u opremanju sistema PVO mogu imati značajne posledice, kako u pogledu povećanih troškova, tako i u smanjenoj efikasnosti sistema PVO u odnosu na potencijalne mogućnosti podsistema. Zbog toga se projektovanju sistema PVO mora pri-stupiti sistemski, kao celini, da bi se svi predviđeni elementi sistema (vatreni sistemi, senzori odnosno radari i slično) mogli povezati i funkcionisati kao celina, a opremanje se može obavljati po delovi-ma. To znači da se izboru KIS PVO mora posvetiti pravovremena pažnja, kako sa stanovišta njegove konfiguracije, tako i sa stanovišta hardvera i softvera, posebno ako se u sistem PVO moraju integrisati oružni sistemi starije i novije generacije. Struktura KIS PVO zavisi od strukture podsistema u sistemu PVO. On se mora zasnivati na jedinstvenoj filozofiji, softveru i hardveru, kako bi opremanje sistema PVO oružnim sistemima bilo racionalno, a sistem PVO maksimalno efikasan. Upravo to su premise na kojima se zasnivaju ruski KIS PVO, koji u stvari predstavljaju računarske mreže. Svi tipovi ruskih oružnih sistema PVO međusobno su kompatibilni, pa se mogu povezati u automatizovani sistem kojim se upravlja iz jednog komandnog centra koji, takođe, može automatski koordinirati dejstvo oružnih sistema PVO protiv nezavisno otkrivenih ciljeva. Rusi su prvi u svetu uspostavili grupisanje PVO sistema po principu "otkrij-dejstvuj", u kojem se signal od radara automatski prenosi ne samo do zajedničkog operativnog centra, nego, pre svega, do oružnih sistema PVO. U ovakvom slučaju cilj se prati u realnom vremenu, što je od presudnog značaja u borbi sa ciljevima današnjih brzina. Rusi sada integrišu sve tipove oružnih sistema u jednu borbenu računarski upravljanu mrežu, koja će obuhvatiti protivavionske topove, raketne sisteme malog, srednjeg i velikog dometa, avijaciju u sistemu PVO, i sredstva za protivelektronsku borbu. U takvom sistemu PVO, odraze od ciljeva otkrivene jednim tipom oružnih sistema PVO primaju i ostali. Zahvaljujući takvoj organizaciji KIS PVO otkriveni ciljevi mogu se raspodeljivati između svih tipova oružnih sistema i vršiti njihovo uništenje, ako ne svih onda bar većine, čak i pri veoma masovnom raketnom vazdušnom napadu.
