To fully exploit the potential for economic recovery, strategies for education, training and employment are playing an important role which should focus on increasing and adapting skills and improve training opportunities at all levels, to promote highly skilled workforce and caring to economy’s needs and facilitate youth access to the labor market. This paper highlights the role that the younger generation has to play to ensure sustainable development of the economy of tomorrow and the importance of education in ensuring a successful career.

This paper presents the results of the study which analysed knowledge management in small and medium-sized enterprises in the Częstochowa powiat. A Model of Stages in Employee Knowledge Growth was developed as an evaluation tool. The activities and behaviours of employees concerning management of knowledge resources were also characterized in the context of current knowledge-based processes.

This article aims to describe the specific aspects of social networking sites as tools of marketing communication. Regarding the assessment of the development of this topic, the article summarises the theoretical solutions of the relevant matters applying to social media. It is also focused on the social media market and using the analysis it describes the current state of the costs of this form of advertising. Another aim of this article is to evaluate and point out the possible further development in this field and refer to the potential difficulties .

Financial markets plays a vital role in the Jordanian economy organizes its operations in a changing environment, which is working on the transfer of local resources through productive channels next to foreign investment. The goal of this study is to analysis the relationship between economic variables and abnormal returns in Amman stock exchange. This paper used the data of variables such as 50 industrial firms with the period from 2004 to 2012. The results indicate that the, consumer price index , gross fixed capital formation and money supply on index abnormal stock returns is statistically significant and no significant industrial production index and money market interest rate Index and Abnormal returns. The researcher recommends attention to economic variables of the fiscal and monetary policy in the Jordanian economy, which is characterized as a fast-growing so that must be the continuous analysis of market factors and determine the impact on abnormal returns for the shares of companies which strengthens the competitive position of companies in the market.

This paper is about the necessity to establish a quality management system in universities capable to improve the performance of these ones and to achieve the excellence in their current activities. The research objectives were to analyse the main trends of higher education services in Romania and to propose future strategies in line with the current orientations at the European level. The results of our research stress the necessity to improve the quality inside the higher education institutions as the education market become smaller year by year mainly due to the demographic changes. In this respect the EFQM Excellence Model could be used in the development of the Quality Management System.

Occupational safety and health becomes a more and more important component of the organization for it ensures continuous positive growth and improvement of productivity, and general efficiency. In order to implement an efficient management system, the C.E.O. must pay special attention to this domain in order to avoid important risks and undesired events with tragic consequences. Thus, every organization needs properly trained staff, in order to accomplish all the purposes in this field. Therefore, the paper aims to do an analysis of the possibilities to develop a career in work safety and security, based on competences, in order to establish the real importance and attention paid to this activity area.

The paper examines selected areas of talent management. Based on the present literature, the aim was to identify individual processes and practices of talent management. Subsequently, questionnaire survey was conducted to obtain primary data - to determine the prevalence and implementation of talent management in Slovak organizations. The article is focused on presentation of partial results of the survey –how Slovak organizations define talents, declare talent management strategy and implement talent management as an approach.

There is always an ethical dimension insufficiently explored beyond the list of identified causes of occupational accidents. This leads to a sequence of inappropriate or wrong decisions, adopted at the organizational, human and/or technical level, , leading to tragic events, often with consequent loss of lives. Appropriate risk management is not only necessary for the development of techniques and processes, but also required for considering the "human nature" at the organizational level. It is also necessary to establish appropriate mechanisms to reconcile the public interest with the risk management process. This paper proposes an analysis of the moral values and principles applied in decision - making and carrying out actions that will increase the occupational safety and health. Since there is no single answer to the question of safety, the purpose of this paper is to systematize a number of alternatives and ways to guide judgments on some fundamental aspects of occupational health and safety management in Romania .

The article presents experiences of implementing the internal quality assurance system at the Faculty of Management of the Czestochowa University of Technology. In the literature, there is no ready-made solution connected with the functioning of internal quality assurance system, there are just defined good practices. One of the solutions used by universities is to use the model based on the ISO 9001 standard or EFQM model . Faculty of Management has chosen model based on ISO 9001 standards , the modification of this system gives great implementing potential in higher education regardless of the educational profile.

Advanced technology allows the banks to enhance its operations with cost cutting effectively and efficiently in order to handle daily banking affairs via online banking channel. Customers are being facilitated by reducing their visits in banks and doing their transactions via internet or ATM machines instead of personally visiting the branches. The purpose of this study is attempts to investigate the effective factors of facilitate using e-banking services for customers. This study is approached by using survey method to examine the relationship between independent and dependent variables .Data were collected through questionnaires which were attached by a letter explaining the purpose of study and assuring respondents of the confidentiality of their answers, those participants were online banking users in Poland. Statistical tools were used to test hypotheses and achieve the objectives, thus the research is descriptive and as a result quantitative methods have been used. The findings indicate that the entire hypotheses are supported positively the effectiveness of e-banking environment in customer service, and provide valuable information for banking industry, hopefully.

The use of ICT enables enterprises to increase their overall efficiency and makes them more competitive. Bailiff office can be an example of a firm not from ICT branch, but widely using new information technologies. The idea of this paper is to show some modifications of existing algorithms of an information system for a bailiffs office to enhance its efficiency. This concerns selected processes essential for efficient work of the office. In the first part of the paper the needs and the opportunities of information technologies for the bailiffs are shown. The necessity of EDI use especially in a bailiffs office has been pointed. Some work areas of the application Komornik SQL where efficiency problems appear have also been presented. These caused lower work of the whole team. Then solutions tending to eliminate human error and manual data introducing as well as its verification have also been described. Four algorithms improving the mentioned system are presented.

A dynamic progress in development of ICT technologies based on B2B, as well as their application in order to improve business processes carried out between enterprises and their business partners, have gained much importance during recent years. It was influenced by such factors as developing and tightening national and international cooperation, high competitiveness, time pressure and striving for improvement of customer and business partners service quality. While the reference books provide many titles referring to the effectiveness of processes, it turns out that there is not enough research on the volume of this effectiveness on the economic, operational and organizational level, measured after having applied B2B system. Taking into consideration the above reasons, the paper provides an analysis and an assessment of the level of enterprise’s business processes effectiveness, resulting from application of integration platform based on B2B model and created using selected ICT technology of Electronic Data Interchange type.

Vacancies, unemployment, wage levels and labor costs do not only affect a country's economy by lowering the Gross Domestic Product, but every person’s life. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the Gross Domestic Product and unemployment rate in the European countries for the period 2005-2011. To perform the analysis, official data from Eurostat, National Statistical Institute and the National Agency for Employment in Romania were taken. The research objectives are to analyze the two indicators for 27 European countries, including Romania. The indicators obtained by Romania were analyzed and compared to the indicators registered by other countries. The expected results consist of establishing a link between GDP and unemployment rate. This link and the intensity of the link will be established by calculating and analyzing the correlation indicator.

This publication highlights the considerations of public sector modernization, using the New Public Management reform. Investigations affect difficulties connected with public sector management therefore dilemma of functioning each public sector units. They are focused on reform, primarily New Public Management, which is regarded to be phenomenon of public management. Contents contained below, first of all are aimed at explanation the term public, and then the public management reform, which are permanently connected with problematic aspects this publication. Moreover from this point of view essential significance has area, in which follows development this reform. Whole considerations portraying later, are focused on showing basic concepts of New Public Management, it’s origin, diverse approaches to definition, advantages and disadvantages too. At the end of publication described conclusions which emphasise essence of New Public Management in public sector at the local government level.

Industrial systems in countries with a significant technological gap is generally characterized by low competitiveness, manifested, among others, the low share of high technology products in international trade. The aim of the study was to determine the impact of the various phases of the directions of the economic cycle on the behavior of innovative firms with the determination of the strength of this effect. Achieved results confirmed the presence of cyclic of innovative activity in the Pomeranian region. Based on the analysis performed on a group of 680 industrial companies using probit regression can be stated that in the period boom innovative activity occurs much more frequently than in other phases of the business cycle - recession and stagnation. The economic situation is therefore an important and time-varying factor in the decisions of innovative enterprises. On this basis, there is a need for a reference to the current market conditions, the impact of the phenomenon of programming innovation processes in our country.

The importance and significance of the career plan is no longer a novelty for the activity of counsellors and career centres. Nevertheless, we are still looking for new concrete and efficient ways of performing such activities with the students. Our intention is that of designing and organizing such activities that may be integrated into a course throughout the entire undergraduate programme. The purpose of our study is twofold: 1. building a proactive attitude towards one’s own professional development; 2. providing the techniques for elaborating a feasible career plan. The theoretical presentation of the integrated AKA model of conducting the career counselling activity by means of the career plan is combined with illustrating certain sequences from this process conducted at the Department of Professional Counselling from “Vasile Alecsandri” University of Bacău.

En ce qui concerne l’économie de marché, la localisation peut concourir aussi bien au succès qu’à l’échec d’une enterprise. L’analyse de la capacité de concurrence envisagée sous un aspect de localisation contribue à la formation de la capacité de concurrence de localisation de l’entreprise. Le présent article a pour but de faire connaître aussi bien la théorie de localisation et la théorie de la capacité de concurrence des entreprises que les résultats d’auteur qui procèdent des études menées. La capacité de concurrence de localisation des enterprises constitue la soi-disant capacité simple ou autrement dit capacité monoélément.

Transportation is one of the main aspect of logistics development in Poland, even if this is due to the fact that the costs for transportation are from 25% to 40% of total costs in the total cost of logistics. This causes that it is transportation, in addition to procurement processes, production, storage and distribution is the most important process within the logistics supply chain. This article on production and transport being the type used in the Polish logistics, presented as in the period 2009-2011 was as its dynamics and development.

The purpose of this study, given the important role of different ways to improve the quality and quantity of public services by using best practices, share resources and ultimately increases efficiency and satisfaction of serving people. Our attempt to be analyzed both profit organizations and non-profits. Any organization at any level, in order to be viable, it should more accurately, and meet customer requirements and customer needs, and take into account their corporate policies. Therefore, in this paper, the model chi-square and a sample of 150 people, consisting of men and women in offices irrigation, municipal finance, and City Hall of Urmia (Iran) were used. The results of this study indicate that staff performance plays a significant role in improving the quality and quantity of services to the people.

This study presents the systematic of the types of investment risk in the real estate market and its characteristics. Furthermore, the study compares the risk components with the forms of investing, particularly in terms of real estate market. The comparison of different classifications of risks presented by various authors shows that the two main categories of risk are macroeconomic risk and microeconomic risk. Approaching developers as a typical example of investors in real estate market allowed for presentation of risk factors in investment and construction activities of developers, types of risk, areas of risk control and methods that minimize risk and risk management. It was demonstrated that risk factors are the fundamental elements in the process of risk management in the estate market.

In the present paper the authors address the importance of carrying out certain relevant internships by students and, at the same time, the influence that these internships have on the place where Romanian education system is situated on the map of the European competitive education systems. Because the student -perceived as a central section of the future evolution- must develop both in terms of personal and professional features, the authors approached aspects regarding the importance and the advantages brought out by the internships carried out by youths, since these often can represent the starting point for the future career of the graduates. The paper is , overall, a plea for projects co -financed through the European Social Fund and through the SOP HRD for ensuring the existence of public-private partnerships and for facilitating the emerge of first contact of the youth with the labor market. This article provides to readers the opportunity to create a picture regarding the role and importance of such projects in forming a competitive education system and, at the same time, a bright future through the influence exercised over students.

Municipality’s financing represents a substantial part of borough politics. It results from the fundamental functioning of the municipality. One of the main tasks is not only to raise enough funds to cover and satisfy their needs, but also to guarantee their effective usage and to apply new approaches to multi-source municipality’s financing. The budget of the municipality is closely linked to the state budget and its efficient management on the income site can ease the pressure on the state subsidies funding. The paper deals with the current issues regarding to financing of municipalities of the selected region of Svidník County with its 65 municipalities, yet the results can be applied to all Slovak municipalities. It has been proved that there is the strong link between preferred forms of financing and the view on the deterioration in the availability of financial resources in times of crises.

Growing urban agglomeration in almost all the metropolitan cities of the world has been a cause of many socio-economic and developmental problems surfacing in the respective metropolitan cities. Some of these problems have been in the nature of countryside-metropolitan labor migration, traffic congestion, tremendous pressure on resources leading to rapid price rise in essential services (water, domestic gas, electricity and transport), realty sector and other commodities, accentuating divide between the haves and have-nots, imbalanced regional growth and the like. This paper aims to study how effective planning of a transportation infrastructure can create favorable situation to solve all the above problems. The scenario was observed to be similar in different parts of the globe whether it was New York City, USA ; Taiwan, Hong Kong, China; Manchester, UK; New Delhi, India; Tokyo, Japan. In many of these metropolitan cities, the development of an efficient Mass Rapid Transport System (MRTS) has been one of the ways by which the municipal corporation or the city’s governing body has tried to address the problems mentioned above and has been successful to quite an extent. This paper concludes that if in Phase I and II expansion of Delhi Metro Rail network from NCT to NCR region would have been taken then significant reduction in congestion, growing prices, urban agglomeration would have taken place and the development of region peripheral to the NCT would also be possible.

The former socialist/ communist rule kept Romania almost isolated from the Western World during about half a century (1945-1989). All about 7000 Romanian former state-owned companies (which were operational at the end of 1989) were obliged, by Law, starting the years ‘60, to organize their own so-called “CTC (Technical Quality Control) Department”, in order to only inspect the quality of their products. In 1992, two years only after the fall of Ceausescu’s dictatorship, in Romania were published both the first Romanian edition of famous ISO 9001 standard (in 1987, when ISO published its first international issue, the former Romanian regime did not allow the translating of it in Romanian!) and the first Consumer Protection Act in Romania’s history. This paper introduces - from both historical and professional insider’s perspective - the most important facts, challenges, issues and outcomes of these very important events, happened over two decades ago.
