Social scientists have, in the recent past, shown a very keen interest in studying women’s problems due to a wide s women in any given society serves not only as an index of its civilization, but it also influences of a very large extent socio –economic development. However, the constitutional developments lead and ensured equal rights to woman in all spheres of life. It has been witnessed in many articles and acts by the government. This article is making an attempt to trace the constitutional development.

Impact of US Financial Crises 2008-09 on Chinese Economy

The objective of the paper is to outline a brief evaluation of the impact of financial crisis of 2008 having origin in US on China. This paper discusses about the consequence of financial crisis that erupted in US but found its way to emerging economies riding on trade and financial channels of transmission. It also presents various policy rejoinders to contain the negative impact of crisis and stimulate d omestic demand, reviving its economic growth. The paper concludes that the crisis reversed the record of sustained growth of three decades with depreciation in year 2008 and 2009. The slowdown in industrial production and construction sectors besides downw ard revision in export orders were attributed to be the core causes behind the slackening economy. The crisis abetted the decline in inflation which was high in pre - crisis period and decreased with the worsening of global and domestic economic scenario.

A comparative study on performance evaluation of selected 2/3 wheeler vehicles companies (with special reference to cash management)

Cash, being a medium of exchange, is one of the imp ortant components of working capital. In the present research paper, an attempt has been mad e to evaluate the cash management performance of three leading public sector companie s of the 2/3 Wheeler Vehicles segment in the Indian automobile industry, namely Bajaj Auto L td., Hero Motocorp Ltd., and TVS Motor Company Ltd. Cash flow based ratios are emplo yed to evaluate the average cash management performance of the selected companies. A fter applying the tools and techniques, the researchers have found that, Hero Motocorp Ltd. is at the top of the list when it comes to average performance based on cash management, follo wed by Bajaj Auto Ltd. and TVS Motor Company Ltd. Researchers have observed a mix trend in the cash management performance of all the sample companies during the period of the research. TVS Motor Company Ltd. is not at its best, but though not the worst in the performance.

E-commerce stands for electronic commerce and pertains to trading in goods and services through the electronic medium. The use of e-commerce has been growing, creating new opportunities for business tycoon to improve current ways of doing business and influencing the development of competitive marketing strategy. This article highlights the narrow usage of the e-commerce concept due to the under estimation of its major benefits. These benefits will be received by those companies which are willing to change their organizations and business processes to fully exploit the opportunities offered by e-commerce. However, electronic commerce describes the buying and selling of products, services, and info through computer networks i.e. internet. The concept of e-commerce includes a broad spectrum of commercial activities, which range from the simple provision on the internet of information or advertising about products and services that remain physical and are ordered, delivered and paid by physical means. The purpose of this paper is to outline the role of supply chain management in success of e-commerce as backend tool. In short, the main focus of this paper is exploring the idea of applying the marketing mix variable, i.e., products, place, price and promotion to e-commerce problems

Overwhelming scientific evidence has demonstrated that the earth is moving towards a point of no return, where ecological catastrophe brought about by climate change will be unavoidable. Climate change has the potential to undermine human development across many countries, including India, and may even lead to a reversal of current developmental progress. Actions taken, or indeed not taken, in the years ahead will have a huge impact on the future course of human development. Because of avoidance by ignorance, in India we are facing problem with climatic /weather change in various regions, not only that it has created many problems related to ecological imbalances in various parts of country. Hence this paper focused on how sustainable steps can be taken to preserve the environment and human life by adopting various adaptive and mitigation strategies.

An Empirical Study on BRIC – Opportunities and Threats

The BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) idea was first conceived in 2001 by Goldman Sachs as part of an economic modelling exercise to forecast global economic trends over the next half century. The bundling of the world’s largest emerging economies under the acronym BRIC made sense back in 2001, but the ever-apparent differences between the countries and the subsequent changes in the global economy show that having a clear understanding of the intricacies within each country and its developments remains as important as ever. BRIC Foreign Ministers at their meeting in New York on 21st September 2010 agreed that South Africa may be invited to join BRIC. Accordingly, South Africa was invited to attend the 3rd BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) Summit in Sanya on 14 April 2011. As the second largest economy in the world today, China is nearly four times larger than Brazil, the smallest BRIC economy. China is ranked 29th in the World Economic Forum's latest Global Competitiveness Index while Brazil (48th), India (59th) and Russia (67th) are ranked much lower in the Index. Southern Africa ranks closer to these countries (53rd). This paper deals with the opportunities and threats associated with BRIC. Data has been collected from secondary sources of evidence to understand the importance of the topic.
