In order to study the contribution of vehicular emissions to urban environmental pollution, measurements of magnetic susceptibility and elemental analysis was conducted on soil samples collected from roundabouts and roadside gutters in Jalingo Metropolis, Taraba State. Magnetic susceptibility was performed on a total of 61 samples using Bartington MS2B Susceptibility meter while elemental analysis was done on selected samples using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (BUCK 210 Model). Results obtained show magnetic susceptibility enhancement which ranged from 106.3 to 475.1 × 10-8 m3kg-1 and 42.8 to 289 × 10-8 m3kg-1 in the roundabouts and gutters samples respectively which implies increase in ferrimagnetic minerals in the samples. The frequency dependence of magnetic susceptibility indicates the dominance of non-super paramagnetic fraction resulting from anthropogenic sources. The concentrations of Fe, Pb, Cu, Zn and Mn on selected samples show comparable values in both gutter and roundabout samples. Their mean values in mg/kg for gutter and roundabout samples respectively are 21. 80 and 21.94 for Fe; 0.01 and 0.02 for Pb; 1.74 and 0.98 for Cu; 1.75 and 1.86 for Zn and 4.22 and 4.71 for Mn. Correlation analysis between magnetic susceptibility and heavy metals shows that magnetic susceptibility can be used as a proxy for assessing Pb, Cu and Zn pollution in the gutter samples but no correlation was obtained between both parameter in the roundabout samples. Organic matter content did not show any effect on magnetic susceptibility in all samples but might affect the concentration of some heavy metals.

Using a nucleon-nucleon exponential interaction potential V (r ) = -V0 exp (-2r / β) an expression for phase shift, δl (kf) , has been obtained omitting iso-spin effects. For Fermi momentum 0fm −1 , 0.1 fm −1 , 0.2 fm −1 … the values of phase shift, δl (kf) , have been calculated. The values of the phase shift, δl (kf), increase linearly with the increase in Fermi momentum, kf .The expression for the energy gap, Δ (kf) , and its variation with Fermi momentum f k , is also calculated. The results obtained are found to be in agreement with Gezerlis.

Recent work on classical-quantum games is reviewed. We present in game-theory terms the physics associated to the interaction between matter and a single-mode of an electromagnetic field within a cavity, introducing a game admitting of both classical and quantal players. Strategies are determined by the initial conditions of the associated dynamical system, whose time evolution is characterized by the existence of attractors that set the possible results of the game. Two types of quantum states are considered; perfectly distinguishable or partially overlapping ones.

The Photon – Graviton pair (coupled) has the same speed and frequency, and the photon energy divided by the graviton energy is the electromagnetic energy divided by the gravitational energy, the electromagnetic force (for virtual photons) divided by the gravitational force (for virtual gravitons). I replaced Max Planck equation E = h × f with the Ferent equation for the energy of a photon: E = h × f + a × f I discovered the impulse of the graviton: p = a / λ and replaced Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle Δp × Δx ≥ h / 4π with Ferent Uncertainty Principle: Δp × Δx ≥ a I discovered a new electromagnetic theory. My gravitation theory explains dark matter and dark energy! The graviton has negative impulse, negative mass and negative energy. I am the first who understood and explained that the gravitons with the speed of light, c = 2.9979 × 108 m/s, are too slow to keep the constellations and the galaxy together. I explained the gravitation with high speed gravitons, va = 1.001762 × 1017 m/s. The mass of a body, system M = m1 + im2 where m1 is the real mass and m2 is the imaginary mass, is the rest mass of the gravitons. I calculated the volume of the universe at Planck wall, VP = 5.819 × 10-45 m3 and the volume of the universe at Ferent wall, VF = 3.355 × 10-130 m3 My quantum gravity theory shows that the gravitons are too small to be detected by today’s technology.

One should not think that the fundamental scientific knowledge can be harmful. Most of theoretical physicists adequately reflects the physical reality and forms the basis of our knowledge of nature. However, some physical theories arised in the twentieth century are not supported by experimental data. At the same time impression of their credibility masked by a very complex mathematical apparatus is so great that some of them are even awarded the Nobel Prize. However, the fact it does not change a number of generally accepted theories created in the twentieth century are not supported by the experience and therefore should be recognized as pseudoscientific and harmful.

The prevailing now BCS-theory is based on the phonon mechanism. The impetus for its development was the discovery of the isotope-effect in superconductors. As it has been observed, this effect (for some superconductors) has the same dependence on the mass of the isotope as the cut-off frequency of phonon spectrum. It was found later that the zero-point oscillations of ions in the crystal lattice of metals are anharmonic. Therefore, the isotopic substitution leads to a change in the interatomic distances in the lattice, to a change in the density of the electron gas and hence to a change in the Fermi energy of the metal. That was not known during the creation of the BCS-theory.

Suitable manipulations in Rodrigues type formulae can lead to numerous other type of formulae which are significatly important and are expected to find applications in probability theory and boundary value problems. Using Leibnitz formulae for nth derivative of the product of two and three functions some elegant Rodrigues type formulae for polynomials corresponding to ф1 function and Appell’s F1 function have been derived.
