Background: There has been growing hope for initiatives supporting the transition of persons with disabilities from employment-related welfare services to employees in companies. This is against the backdrop of a significant increase in employment among persons with disabilities in Japan.Objective:To improve the quality of this transition, this study examined the relationship between the collaboration of the Work Support Centers for Continuous Employment Type B (WSC-B) with vocational rehabilitation organizations (VROs) and knowledge and skills related to employment support.Methods: A survey including all 122 WSC-B in L-Prefecture was conducted by postal mail. The respondents were asked to rate items on the following six levels concerning collaboration with VROs and understanding of VROs. We used the Japanese version of the Self-Assessment for Students or Counselors (SASC-J) to assess knowledge and skills related to work support.Results: The t-test conducted on knowledge and skills status between WSC-B with a high degree of cooperation with VROs and those with low degrees confirmed significant differences among the various subsystems in VROs.Conclusion: Based on our results, we suggest that maximizing the use of collaboration in work support will enhance the support provided by WSC-B and promote transition support for people with disabilities

This study examines the effect of using children as begging guides by people with sensory disabilities in Africa. It argues that in some African countries, visually impaired persons, especially parents and relatives, have devised the strategy of abusing their children or someone very close to them as begging guides for financial gain. While this strategy has remained a recurrent problem with severe social, economic, political, and legal implications, scientific research on addressing these implications is scarce. Given this, the article examines the rationale for using children as begging guides, its effects on the children and visually impaired parents, and mitigation strategies against abuse of children as begging guides in Africa. The qualitative research design based on key informant interviews (KIIs) complemented social exclusion and childhood theoretical underpinnings of the study. Results from (KIIs) showed that poverty, religion, cultural beliefs, financial profiteering, poor governance, breakdown in policy implementation against begging are among the rationale why children are abused and used as begging guides. The results also showed that these children experience low academic performance in school, harassment, psychological trauma, health complications from laborious trekking. At the same time, their visually impaired parents suffer from regrets and guilt of not being able to provide good parental care to their children. It concludes that good rehabilitation, vocational programmes, and prompt government supports for people with sensory disabilities would lessen the abuse and use of children as begging guides in Africa.

The spread of gambling addiction is one of the serious problems of modern society. A person involved in gambling creates preconditions for inevitable failure. Effective rehabilitation involves the reconstruction of the personality and aims to return the addict to a healthy and socially valuable life. The value-semantic sphere serves as one of the factors of psychological adaptation and the purpose of psychological correction of game addicts. The present research aimed to study the peculiarities of the transformation of the value-semantic sphere of pathological players in the context of a rehabilitation program. The research involved 42 pathological players undergoing a rehabilitation program for 6 months. We used methods: "Diagnosis of Interpersonal Relationships" by Leary; "Personality Time Perspective Questionnaire" by Zimbardo; "Meaning-Life Orientations" Leontiev; Stolin's Self-Ratio Questionnaire; "Morphological test of life values" by Sopov and Karpushina and personal data questionnaire. As a result of the study, the connection between the participation in the rehabilitation program and the change of the relationship profile of the pathological players to a more independent one was found. Changes in the time perspective of positive future, an increase of meaningfulness of life, an increase of the level of self-esteem, and a decrease of self-blame were revealed. The change of value from material provision to self-development and acceptance of oneself in the context of rehabilitation was revealed. As a result of the research, it was established that in rehabilitation conditions, the transformation of the valuesemantic sphere of pathological players towards more adaptive is possible.

The article considers the socio-psychological criteria for the formation of gender stereotypes of appearance. The priority of the study is implementing a system of criteria for gender stereotypes of appearance, taking into account the system of socio-psychological factors and gender-oriented forms of prevention of overcoming sexism and discrimination on the grounds of personality attractiveness. It is substantiated that social evaluation through physical criteria creates several psychological problems because the "physical self" is an essential component of the "selfconcept" and one of the criteria of self-esteem. It is proved that the properties of gender stereotypes coincide with the social ones. They are the bearer of emotional and evaluative characteristics, taking into account the group of values associated with the ambivalence of ideas about another. A methodical approach to the assessment of gender stereotypes of appearance and personality is proposed, which allows determining the criteria of human well-being, taking into account discrimination factors, intrapersonal parameters of affective-negative perception of one's appearance and self-concept, as well as the aesthetic perception of identity. An assessment of socio-psychological factors of gender stereotypes of appearance, which is based on the methodological provisions of psychoanalysis and humanism, cognitive paradigm, dispositional theory, cross-cultural approach, and some sociological studies, is carried out. As an experiment on empirical verification of the stereotypes of appearance, their gender differences, and socio-psychological factors, a set of methods of psychological diagnosis is used, which allow determining indicators of stereotypes of appearance, selfesteem, and attitude to beauty; socio-psychological criteria for the formation of gender stereotypes of appearance. A methodology for assessing the criteria for improving the attitude of respondents to their own appearance by determining the level of self-esteem, satisfaction with appearance, awareness of gender differences in appearance, and the desire to improve their own appearance in case of discrimination has been developed and implemented.

This study discusses the activities of higher education institutions in the context of inclusive education as an innovative approach. The introduction of inclusive education in the modern higher education system is highly important. The existing specialised education system is undergoing changes resulting in new requirements for work with people with special educational needs in various areas. The purpose of this study is to consider the mechanism of implementation of inclusive education in the activities of higher education institutions, which ensures accessibility and requires high-quality education, in particular, taking into account the educational needs of every individual. The problems of the educational process faced by the students are analysed in detail. This study justifies the necessity of introducing inclusive education in modern educational systems, describes positive experiences of some higher education establishments, provides a step-by-step analysis of the introduction of inclusive education in higher education institutions in Ukraine and defines promising areas for its implementation. This study's theoretical and methodological basis included the works of the world’s leading scientists and a regulatory framework for inclusive education. The article presents students’ attitudes to the implementation of inclusive education. To achieve these objectives, the analysis of the latest research on the implementation of the right to education of persons with special educational needs was carried out. The study results showed a positive attitude towards inclusive education and joint education of people with special educational needs. The study found that inclusive education requires more time and effort to organise the educational process. The introduction of inclusive education elements can increase the efficiency of this process. The effective use of the methods to implement inclusive education in higher education institutions contributes to achieving its goals and results. This article presents a comprehensive pedagogical technology for correctional and developmental work with parents and their preschool children with speech disorders. The purpose of this article is also to consider the change in parents' attitude to the environmental education of a child with speech disorders. The project is designed to involve parents and increase their interest in the environmental education of preschoolers with speech disorders. It is investigated to what extent the involvement of parents and teachers in joint research projects increases competencies in terms of knowledge, abilities, and attitudes to educational processes. The article uses several methods of synthesis and analysis in research. The descriptive method and the experimental method were also used. The hypothesis is that using a comprehensive program involving parents for research and experimental activities in environmental education of preschool children with speech disorders promotes the more successful acquisition of knowledge about nature, improves therapy, and strengthens family relationships. In technology, attention is paid to the actual educational activities and the reflection of teachers' and parents' internal structures of competencies. The presented technology systematizes the instrumental-methodical, expressive (behavioral) aspects of teaching and raising a child with speech disorders and provides a universal basis for any intervention program to change attitudes and involve parents in educational work

In this article, devoted to the problem of professional training of future teachers-psychologists based on practice-oriented teaching, the research results, tested during the educational process, are presented. They are as follows: the essence of the concept "professional competence" of a teacher is specified; based on the analysis of existing approaches to the study of the structure of professional readiness, personal, intellectual-operational, motivational, communicative, and reflexive components are determined; the structural and functional model of practice-oriented teaching of future teachers-psychologists has been developed following the pedagogical features of practice-oriented teaching and the identified pedagogical conditions, which includes four interrelated blocks: the target, the methodological, the content-procedural, the learning outcome. The criteria of professional training of future teacherspsychologists on the basis of practice-oriented teaching (personal, intellectual-operational, motivational, communicative, and reflexive) and levels of readiness are defined: reproductive (low), adaptive (medium), and integrative (high). The development and consolidation of skills in students is carried out by solving specific tasks of professional activity, during which students try to explain the procedure for solving a specific professional task and check the actual material in practice. The paper presents the results of an experimental study on the development of professional endurance and psycho-emotional stability in the future officers of operational level during training in a higher military educational institution. The educational research was conducted in three stages, in the National Defence University of Ukraine, named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi. The current level of professional endurance in this category of officers gave grounds to assume that with traditional approaches to the organisation of the educational process, it is quite difficult to achieve a high level of development of this property. Therefore, there is a need to find and substantiate the pedagogical conditions for developing professional endurance in officers and improving their mental health. To confirm the effectiveness of the implementation of the conditions defined by the authors at the beginning and end of the experiment, a comparison of the obtained data of the experimental group (EG) and control group (CG) was carried out according to the authors’ criteria and indicators. The results of the study on the implementation and substantiation of pedagogical conditions for the development of professional endurance in officers confirmed that the proposed measures contributed to the effective development of this quality. Statistical methods ensure that the officers from the EG had statistically significant changes in professional endurance as a result of the experiment. Comparison of the development of professional endurance in the EG at the beginning and end of the experiment using the Wilcoxon rank-sum test confirmed the effectiveness of implementing appropriate pedagogical conditions for the development of professional endurance and psycho-emotional stability.

Science still does not have a single scientifically sound concept of mental deprivation, which would explain its psychological essence, this mental phenomenon cannot be adequately assessed, or measures to prevent or eliminate negative mental phenomena it provoked cannot be developed. The article aims to reveal the basic principles and substantiate the main provisions of the functional-procedural concept of mental deprivation. Psycho-energetic and energy-psycho-functional approaches were used, as well as methods of analysis, synthesis, abstraction, specification, comparison, generalisation, and grouping of knowledge about the human psyche. The functional-procedural concept of mental deprivation of humans covers an interconnected system of provisions. According to them, mental deprivation is a course of more or less powerful destructive processes in the functioning of his psyche. Such processes arose from the destruction of mental parameters in various areas due to long-term unfulfilling necessary for normal functioning and development. The development of a functional-procedural concept of mental deprivation of a human will make it possible, first, to adequately define its essence and content in the scientific dimension as a phenomenon of the psyche; secondly, to assess its impact on the functioning of the whole psyche; third, to disclose the impact on development or its delay, actions, behaviour, and activities of an individual; fourth, to develop psychotherapeutic measures to prevent the occurrence of mental deprivation and eliminate its negative consequences.

The study discusses the professional development of the individual, which is a multi-faceted process. The relevance of this work is defined by development trends that radically change the essence of professions on the labour market and require an understanding of the role of career guidance and professional self-determination as a single process throughout the entire working life of an individual. The study aims to investigate professional consciousness as a subjective component of professionalism and consider the algorithm for the development of professional selfconsciousness in society. The study covers the main stages of professional development of the individual as a single process. The analysis of documents (monographs, websites, statistics, academic papers, and textbooks) was the objective method for the study. The study researched and systematised the leading approaches to discovering personal potential based on the collected material and identified all types of professional competence using the analysis method. As a result, the definition of factors of professionalism creates mental models of professional activity and the professional self-consciousness of the individual. Virtual Reality (VR) is an approach in stroke rehabilitation with ever-improving technological advancement for targeted motor rehabilitation by providing a user interface in a simulated environment with proprioceptive and visual feedback. This meta-analysis intended to evaluate the impact of immersive and non-immersive VR-based interventions compared to conventional rehabilitation in sensorimotor recovery following stroke. Randomized Controlled Trials based on the impact of VR, either immersive or non-immersive type in comparison to conventional rehabilitation on post-stroke patients (>18 years) sensorimotor recovery were searched on six databases including Google Scholar, PEDro, MEDLINE, Cochrane Library, EMBASE, and Web of Science from August to November 2020. A total of 17 randomized controlled trials on VR based intervention showed significant improvement in sensorimotor recovery following a stroke in overall FMA outcomes in comparison to the control group with pool effects in terms of SMD in a random effect model showed an impact of 0.498 at 95% CI (p<0.001) depicts a moderate effect size. An immersive and non-immersive emerging VR trend appears to be a promising therapeutic tool in sensorimotor recovery following stroke

Objective: The article aims to reveal the features of correction of the sound culture of the preschool-age children's speech, the effectiveness of which has been tested experimentally.Background: The sound culture of speech is a multicomponent formation, which covers the phonetic correctness of speech; general language skills and orthoepic correctness of speech. Pedagogical correction of the sound culture of speech is focused on the correct the errors caused by a violation of the sound articulation, sound pronunciation, orthoepic norms of pronunciation, voice strength, etc.Method: In the study, the author's method of pedagogical correction of the sound culture of children’s speech was used. Also, it was used comparative analysis and method of successive analysis of adjustment variants of the speech sound culture. Results: An individual model of pedagogical correction of the sound culture of the child's speech was developed. Training to deepen knowledge, improvement of abilities, and skills of teachers were held. The exercises in sound pronunciation and intonational speech expressiveness were developed.Conclusion: Positive dynamics of developmental levels of the sound culture of children’s speech, which has been confirmed by the results of quantitative and qualitative analysis, confirms the effectiveness of the experimental methods of pedagogical correction of the sound culture of speech.

Inattention is one of the significant problems that inhibit learning among children with intellectual disabilities. However, several strategies and therapies have been developed to solve the problem. This study, therefore, investigates the effectiveness of music therapy in enhancing attention among children with intellectual disability. A pretest-posttest control experimental research design was adopted. The experiment was carried out for six weeks using Music Therapy Treatment Package on 24 children with intellectual disability that were randomly selected Modupe Cole Momerial Childcare and Treatment Home/School, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos. A validated Attention Observation Rating Scale (AORS) with a reliability coefficient of 0.88 was used for this study. Three hypotheses were tested in the study, and Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) was used for data analysis. This study revealed that music therapy is effective in enhancing attention among children with intellectual disabilities. Sex and level of severity of the disability were also tested as moderator variables, but they have no significant main or interaction effect with music therapy in enhancing attention for children with intellectual disability. The finding is that music therapy is significantly effective in enhancing attention for children with intellectual disability regardless of their sex or level of severity. It was concluded that attention deficit could be improved for children with intellectual disability. Therefore, Music therapy was recommended for use in the school with adequate teacher training.

Students with high levels of procrastination were unable to organize and achieve their academic goals. A student who procrastinates may face internal consequences such as low academic performance, bad learning habits, and low learning motivation. When he/she is unable to address procrastination, this will hinder his/her academic performance. The study group of the research consists of 258 boys studying in high schools in the Riyadh region in the 2019-2020 academic year. They aged 16-18 years, (M= 17.23,SD= 4.45). Social Media Addiction Scale - Student Form, High-School Satisfaction Scale, and Tuckman's procrastination scale –short form were used for gathering and analyzing data. Quality of academic life correlates negatively with social networking addiction and academic procrastination. On the other hand, social networking addiction was found to be positively correlated with academic procrastination. Regression coefficients of the empirical model show that social networking addiction had a direct negative effect on the quality of academic life (b= -0.49, p<0.001) and a direct positive effect on academic procrastination (b=0.52, p<0.001). Results support previous research showing that social networking addiction negatively impacts academic achievement by creating academic procrastination, reducing sleep quality, and increasing academic stress. Evidence indicates a positive and significant correlation between inappropriate and problematic use of technology and quality of academic life. Procrastination may interrupt the academic performance, as procrastinators are likely to avoid completing the task at Hand until the last moment. They may also be unable to invest the time and effort necessary for performing as they underestimate the amount of time required for completing specific tasks.

Parents of children with intellectual disability (ID) suffer from comparatively emotional insecurity compared to parents of children without ID, especially during periods of crisis, such asthe outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. This study aimed to investigate the consequences of Coronavirus as a predictor of emotional security among mothers of children with intellectual disabilities.Mothers of children with intellectual disabilities were considered for data collection. The study group of the research consists of 120 mothers who have children with intellectual disabilities. They aged 23-55 years, (M= 43.23,SE=0.075). Consequences of Coronavirus Questionnaire (CCQ-20) and Emotional Security Scale (ESS-20) were used to collect and analyze data.For this study, quantitative survey research was employed. The independent variable is the consequences of Coronavirus, and emotional security is the dependent variable. The purpose was to investigate the effectiveness of a group E-therapy program on improving children's social skills with ASD. Participants were (16) children between the ages of Six and eleventh. A pre-post design was used to examine the effectiveness of group therapy on developing social skills in children with Autism. Stone's social skills Scale was administered to assess children's social skills with autism spectrum disorder as a pre-post-test. The group therapy strategies were performed on the experimental group by their actual teacher during an exact 8-week lesson period with 50-minute sessions three times per week. The Z-value results for the differences in the mean post-test scores between the experimental and control groups in social skills. The table shows that the value of (Z) ranged between (2.809 -3.354). These values are significant at (0.01) level in favor of the experimental group. The value of (Z) in Table 2 ranged between (2.617 - 2.711), which are significant values at the level (0.01). This indicates that group therapy had a positiv e effect on social skills in children with ASD.

Smoking and alcohol consumption is a growing trend among young people worldwide. The purpose of this study was to provide students with a comparative analysis of adherence to harmful habits (smoking and alcohol) on the one hand and the frequency of sports and academic performance on the other, taking into account gender differences. The research was conducted in 2019-2020 in 5 cities of Russia; the sample included 1500 people aged 18.4 ± 1.1 years, divided into three equal groups. The control (first) group had students who are not engaged in sports, and the second group comprised students practicing sports but not professionally. The third group was made up of student-athletes. All participants were surveyed to determine the frequency of adherence to harmful habits. In the control group, boys smoked 50% more often than girls (p ≤ 0.05), while in the third group, smoking among boys was registered 70 times less often (p ≤ 0.001). Alcohol consumption in controls was 0.5 times more likely among boys (p ≤ 0.05). Harmful habits affect young people's free time and reduce their academic performance and ability to practice sports.

A joint analysis of the concepts of "emotional intelligence" and "burnout" allows finding new ways to protect against the adverse effects of chronic stress. It is known that emotional competencies are determined by gender and gender, but this aspect needs to be clarified. A longitudinal study was conducted in a female sample (575 students and 96 teachers from different regions of Ukraine) to determine the dynamics of burnout in calm and stressful periods and trace the correlation of symptoms with emotional abilities. The structural components of emotional intelligence (reflection, self-regulation, empathy, expressiveness, and acceptance of one's own emotions) and manifestations of burnout were measured; three diagnostic sections were made at the beginning of the academic year, after the winter and spring examination sessions. Significant growth of all burnout indicators during the annual training cycle (MANOVA) was recorded. The effect of the accumulation of fatigue (exhaustion) was robust in teachers and graduate students. At the same time, after the session, students grew a sense of self-efficacy, compensating for the resources spent. Comparison of means in six subsamples of students in grades 1-5 and teachers (ANOVA) showed that structural changes in emotional competencies describe the adaptive potential of a certain age period. The developed empathy and selfregulation are the main signs of women's emotional maturity after graduation. The structure of correlations between burnout parameters and emotional competencies differed in different groups. The most significant contribution to preventing burnout in students is made by reflection and self-regulation, in teachers — by self-regulation, empathy, and acceptance of one's feelings. The negative correlation between emotional abilities and symptoms of burnout is exacerbated during times of stress. It is concluded that there are two mechanisms of the protective influence of emotional intelligence: direct, which prevents exhaustion by controlling and regulating negative emotions, and indirect, through a sense of self-efficacy resulting from the successful overcoming of professional challenges

Patients admitted to Critical Care Units (CCU) face multiple stressors, and these stressors cause anxiety in patients. Anxiety increases heart function in heart patients. High levels of anxiety in cardiac patients increase in association with hospital complications. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) on reducing the anxiety of patients in CCU during their hospitalization. The study design was quasiexperimental (pre-test and post-test). This study was performed on patients in CCU of Shahid Mostafa Khomeini hospital in 2019; for this purpose, 30 patients in CCU were randomly divided into intervention (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. Before the intervention, the demographic variables questionnaire and DASS-21 anxiety questionnaire were completed by both groups. Then, the intervention group received CBT for eight sessions according to the average number of hospital days (eight days) by the therapist (researcher). The control group did not receive any intervention. After the intervention, the demographic variables questionnaire and DASS-21 questionnaire were completed by the intervention and control groups again. Data analysis was done by SPSS-21 software and descriptive tests, ANOVA, and independent and pairwise t-test. There was no significant difference between the two groups in the mean score of anxiety before treatment, but the mean score of anxiety significantly decreased after treatment in the intervention group (9.63±2.773) compared to the control group (13.23±2.115; p<0.001). CBT can reduce the level of anxiety in patients admitted to CCU, and this method can be used as a simple and low-cost complementary non-pharmacological practice in these patients.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the problems that neuropedagogy can solve in the context of the educational process. Background: Research in neuropedagogy has been gaining popularity in recent years. This has been driven by advances in technology and the social sciences. Every year more and more scientists approach the subject of neuropedagogy to modernise the educational system and improve the educational process. Method: The main research methods in this scientific article are the comparative method, methods of analysis and data synthesis, the historical method, as well as the theoretical analysis of scientific literature related to the subject matter. Results: The study explored the concept of neuropedagogy and the principles on which it is based. Practical recommendations for teachers of Kazakhstan have been developed. Scientific articles on the subject matter are analysed, the degree of research and the effectiveness of the implementation of neuropedagogy in the educational process is assessed. Conclusion: It was concluded that the use of neuropedagogy would provide an opportunity to improve and modernise the education system

Communication is powerful instruments of interaction that provide equality to those who have a severe intellectual disability. We are presenting a comprehensive communication model to enhance their chances of interacting with others and improving professionals' understanding of intellectual disability. Most of the existing literature on different disabilities focuses on people who have some capacities to perform certain skills to a certain degree. Our model allows effective learning and proactive interaction for both the disabled and the professionals. Moreover, it offers resources and a wide range of knowledge about the syndromes and the right strategies to be used. The idea of this research paper arose out of an awareness that students with language learning disabilities are completely ignored in the educational system, and there are no special programs that cater to these students. They are placed in normal schools that are not prepared to deal with their unique difficulties. This paper, therefore, is an attempt to provide teachers with multiple-strategies models for teaching English language skills to these students at the intermediate level and beyond. Also, this research paper describes strategies for language learning and language use in regular language activities.

The interplay between architectural design and human psychology is significant, yet it remains largely unnoticed or even ignored both in and outside the design industry. Moreover, the relationship between design and psychology is not only consequential and is bidirectional. On the one hand, successful design has been shown to have clear psychological and physiological impacts; on the other, psychology, human experience, and the function of our neurological systems all play a significant role in what we perceive to be a successful design. This thesis endeavors to understand how that complex relationship evolved and how it works in today's world and shows how artistic memorial facilities can help emotionally to people. The architectural style has evolved over time as the general public's preferences have changed and as new materials and building processes have been discovered. Some styles have been fads that have quickly come and gone, while others have stood the test of time and been around for centuries, even influencing some modern architecture today. The socio-political, socio-cultural processes taking place in modern society require a serious rethinking of the spiritual, moral, cultural, and historical values underlying the artistic and aesthetic comprehension of the world by students. The problem of the aesthetic education of the younger generation, the gradual revival of traditions and culture of peoples is acquiring special relevance at present. At the same time, interest in studying the problems of introducing young people to culture, particularly works of art of architecture - architectural monuments, is of great importance. Researches suggest that child abuse is related to a previous history of violence within the family setting and the evolution of the learning process. The current study was aimed to investigate the exposure of child abuse in the case of distance learning and its relationship to some variables of the social-cognitive processing among parents who potentially assaulted their children. The survey research method was applied. The questionnaire consisted of three blocks of questions: socio-demographic block, parents' impressions of distance learning at school, violence, and parents' aggression towards children. The sample included 308 primary school children’s parents from the Zakarpatska region (Ukraine). Results show that parents' reaction to learning difficulties is not always constructive because most stressful situations provoke verbal aggression and physical violence towards the child. Distance learning and related difficulties have become a major factor in violent and aggressive behavior towards children during quarantine. Most parents who allowed maltreatment toward their children before pandemic COVID-19 also demonstrated it during distance learning. Our study found a link between parents' use of physical violence and verbal aggression with the following variables: duration of lockdown, the function of the teacher in distance learning, parents' assessment of the process and learning outcome, qualitative changes in the relationship between parents and children during quarantine. The study of violent situations against children during distance learning will provide an opportunity to develop effective preventive and corrective measures. The process of informing about situations of violence against children can have a psychoprophylactic effect

This preliminary study proposes to investigate (i) the mean comfortable deep pressure of Autism Hug Machine Portable Seat (AHMPS) manual pull and inflatable wrap models; and (ii) the effect of using AHMPS in reducing anxiety in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).The first phase was done to determine the comfort test. Fifteen healthy adolescents (13 men and 2 women; aged 19-25 years) individuals volunteered to participate in the comfort test in determining the pressure of AHMPS, both manual pull, and inflatable wrap. The second phase was completed in children with ASD, in which the comforting pressure from the first phase was then applied to five children with ASD (4 boys and 1 girl; aged 8-15 years) from the Putra Mandiri Public Special School Semarang. All children were administered both the AHMPS inflatable wrap and manual pull as a deep pressure apparatus while traveling by bus. A pulse oximeter was used to measure heart rate variability (physiological arousal).The mean comfort pressure was obtained from 15 healthy subjects, which was 0.81 psi on the chest and 0.80 psi on the thigh for the manual pull; and 0.65 psi on the chest and 0.45 psi on the thigh for the inflatable wrap. In the second phase, the AHMPS manual pull did not significantly decrease heart rate with p=0.114, but the AHMPS inflatable wrap significantly decreased heart rate with a significance value of p=0.037. We conclude, therefore, the AHMPS inflatable wrap decreases physiological arousal in children with ASD.

Down syndrome is one of the most common chromosomal disorders in pediatrics characterized by variable intellectual disability, generalized joint laxity, and hypotonia that compromises their function andcauses a delay in developing gross motor skills, poor balance, and coordination. Thus, this study aims to determine the current yet effective treatment approaches to improve balance in the Down syndrome population. The studies were explored across seven electronic databases that include MEDLINE, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar, Scopus, PEDro, and Web of Science from inception till October 2020 comprised of experimental studies published in English language investigating the effects on balance in children and adults diagnosed with DS considering different interventions. A total of 1,570 records were retrieved from seven electronic databases published between the year's tenure of 2013-2020. 144 full-text papers were extracted to be reviewed, of whichonly 18 experimental studies were selected on the basis of inclusion criteria that involved 493 Down syndrome patients, investigated the effects of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient-related instructions on standardized balance scales/tests. It was concluded that all the included trials demonstrated significantly profound effects in improving the static and dynamic balance of Down syndrome patients. Therefore, none of the interventions is declared as superior to another in terms of obtained results. Furthermore, these diverse interventions need to be investigated more for better understating and generalizability of outcomes

The study evaluated the effect of COVID-19 and the containment measures on Nigerian journalists and journalism practice in Nigeria. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design, with a questionnaire and personal interviews as instruments for data collection. A total of 362 copies of the questionnaire were correctly completed and returned by the respondents, and 25 editors and management staff of selected media organizations in Nigeria were interviewed for the study. The study's findings indicated that Nigerian journalists were actively involved in COVID-19 containment efforts in the country and that COVID-19 containment measures negatively affected journalists' performance and journalism practice in Nigeria. It is recommended, among others, that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be provided for a journalist covering the pandemic, and journalists' fundamental human rights should be respected in COVID-19 containment efforts.

Congregational worship among the religious organizations in Africa and Latin America, particularly the rapidly expanding Christian missions, has been of significant consideration in the light of medical recommendations involving social distancing and avoidance of large social gatherings concerning the coronavirus pandemic. This is among recent observations and has attracted more focus following an acute controversy over the role of the Church in Brazil vis-à-visgovernment policies on the Covid-19 pandemic and the fact that a number of churches in Nigeria were allegedly initially reluctant to respond to the government lockdown declaration and the resultant ban on congregational worship. Simultaneously, the agenda of financial and material assistance to the poor by the large Christian denominations in South Africa as one means of sustaining the lockdown rather attracted criticism, as they were unable to sustain the project. Furthermore, the role of religious bodies came to the fore as global surveys demonstrated that, on average, the masses in these two continents are among the most religiously observant people in the world. As we shall see in the concluding section, this is the major consideration of Idayat Hassan, Director of the Abuja-based Centre for Democracyand Development, in his assessment of the African context.

Objective: The purpose of the article is to connect the time perspective of the convicts with their self-concept. Background: After an extended stay in places of deprivation of liberty, it is difficult for convicts to adapt to the conditions of life in freedom, to restore the social ties that were lost and weakened due to isolation. And therefore, they often fall into the marginal part of the population, cannot find their place in life, and often replenish the number of unemployed or, even worse, re-enter the criminal path and commit crimes. Method: The following psychological methods were used: the technique of “Who am I?”, which allowed studying the cognitive component of the self-concept; the methodology of personal differential that provides an opportunity to study the emotional component of the self-concept; the self-attitude test questionnaire and the method of F. Zimbardo allowed to determine the main features of the time perspective. Results: The article reflects the study of convicts based on which a typology of “self-concept” of convicts was proposed. Besides, the results of a study of the temporal perspective of convicts depending on the type of self-concept are presented. Conclusion: The authors are inclined to believe that a detailed study of this problem will identify and provide effective ways to stimulate the constructive resocialization of various categories of prisoners
