Inattention is one of the significant problems that inhibit learning among children with intellectual disabilities. However, several strategies and therapies have been developed to solve the problem. This study, therefore, investigates the effectiveness of music therapy in enhancing attention among children with intellectual disability. A pretest-posttest control experimental research design was adopted. The experiment was carried out for six weeks using Music Therapy Treatment Package on 24 children with intellectual disability that were randomly selected Modupe Cole Momerial Childcare and Treatment Home/School, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos. A validated Attention Observation Rating Scale (AORS) with a reliability coefficient of 0.88 was used for this study. Three hypotheses were tested in the study, and Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA) was used for data analysis. This study revealed that music therapy is effective in enhancing attention among children with intellectual disabilities. Sex and level of severity of the disability were also tested as moderator variables, but they have no significant main or interaction effect with music therapy in enhancing attention for children with intellectual disability. The finding is that music therapy is significantly effective in enhancing attention for children with intellectual disability regardless of their sex or level of severity. It was concluded that attention deficit could be improved for children with intellectual disability. Therefore, Music therapy was recommended for use in the school with adequate teacher training.

Students with high levels of procrastination were unable to organize and achieve their academic goals. A student who procrastinates may face internal consequences such as low academic performance, bad learning habits, and low learning motivation. When he/she is unable to address procrastination, this will hinder his/her academic performance. The study group of the research consists of 258 boys studying in high schools in the Riyadh region in the 2019-2020 academic year. They aged 16-18 years, (M= 17.23,SD= 4.45). Social Media Addiction Scale - Student Form, High-School Satisfaction Scale, and Tuckman's procrastination scale –short form were used for gathering and analyzing data. Quality of academic life correlates negatively with social networking addiction and academic procrastination. On the other hand, social networking addiction was found to be positively correlated with academic procrastination. Regression coefficients of the empirical model show that social networking addiction had a direct negative effect on the quality of academic life (b= -0.49, p<0.001) and a direct positive effect on academic procrastination (b=0.52, p<0.001). Results support previous research showing that social networking addiction negatively impacts academic achievement by creating academic procrastination, reducing sleep quality, and increasing academic stress. Evidence indicates a positive and significant correlation between inappropriate and problematic use of technology and quality of academic life. Procrastination may interrupt the academic performance, as procrastinators are likely to avoid completing the task at Hand until the last moment. They may also be unable to invest the time and effort necessary for performing as they underestimate the amount of time required for completing specific tasks.

Parents of children with intellectual disability (ID) suffer from comparatively emotional insecurity compared to parents of children without ID, especially during periods of crisis, such asthe outbreak of coronavirus pandemic. This study aimed to investigate the consequences of Coronavirus as a predictor of emotional security among mothers of children with intellectual disabilities.Mothers of children with intellectual disabilities were considered for data collection. The study group of the research consists of 120 mothers who have children with intellectual disabilities. They aged 23-55 years, (M= 43.23,SE=0.075). Consequences of Coronavirus Questionnaire (CCQ-20) and Emotional Security Scale (ESS-20) were used to collect and analyze data.For this study, quantitative survey research was employed. The independent variable is the consequences of Coronavirus, and emotional security is the dependent variable. To test the hypotheses of the study, Pearson correlation and Linear regression analysis were conducted.Findings indicate that the independent variable (Coronavirus) contributed to the prediction of emotional securityamong mothers of children with intellectual disabilities. The purpose was to investigate the effectiveness of a group E-therapy program on improving children's social skills with ASD. Participants were (16) children between the ages of Six and eleventh. A pre-post design was used to examine the effectiveness of group therapy on developing social skills in children with Autism. Stone's social skills Scale was administered to assess children's social skills with autism spectrum disorder as a pre-post-test. The group therapy strategies were performed on the experimental group by their actual teacher during an exact 8-week lesson period with 50-minute sessions three times per week. The Z-value results for the differences in the mean post-test scores between the experimental and control groups in social skills. The table shows that the value of (Z) ranged between (2.809 -3.354). These values are significant at (0.01) level in favor of the experimental group. The value of (Z) in Table 2 ranged between (2.617 - 2.711), which are significant values at the level (0.01). This indicates that group therapy had a positiv e effect on social skills in children with ASD.

Smoking and alcohol consumption is a growing trend among young people worldwide. The purpose of this study was to provide students with a comparative analysis of adherence to harmful habits (smoking and alcohol) on the one hand and the frequency of sports and academic performance on the other, taking into account gender differences. The research was conducted in 2019-2020 in 5 cities of Russia; the sample included 1500 people aged 18.4 ± 1.1 years, divided into three equal groups. The control (first) group had students who are not engaged in sports, and the second group comprised students practicing sports but not professionally. The third group was made up of student-athletes. All participants were surveyed to determine the frequency of adherence to harmful habits. In the control group, boys smoked 50% more often than girls (p ≤ 0.05), while in the third group, smoking among boys was registered 70 times less often (p ≤ 0.001). Alcohol consumption in controls was 0.5 times more likely among boys (p ≤ 0.05). Harmful habits affect young people's free time and reduce their academic performance and ability to practice sports.

A joint analysis of the concepts of "emotional intelligence" and "burnout" allows finding new ways to protect against the adverse effects of chronic stress. It is known that emotional competencies are determined by gender and gender, but this aspect needs to be clarified. A longitudinal study was conducted in a female sample (575 students and 96 teachers from different regions of Ukraine) to determine the dynamics of burnout in calm and stressful periods and trace the correlation of symptoms with emotional abilities. The structural components of emotional intelligence (reflection, self-regulation, empathy, expressiveness, and acceptance of one's own emotions) and manifestations of burnout were measured; three diagnostic sections were made at the beginning of the academic year, after the winter and spring examination sessions. Significant growth of all burnout indicators during the annual training cycle (MANOVA) was recorded. The effect of the accumulation of fatigue (exhaustion) was robust in teachers and graduate students. At the same time, after the session, students grew a sense of self-efficacy, compensating for the resources spent. Comparison of means in six subsamples of students in grades 1-5 and teachers (ANOVA) showed that structural changes in emotional competencies describe the adaptive potential of a certain age period. The developed empathy and selfregulation are the main signs of women's emotional maturity after graduation. The structure of correlations between burnout parameters and emotional competencies differed in different groups. The most significant contribution to preventing burnout in students is made by reflection and self-regulation, in teachers — by self-regulation, empathy, and acceptance of one's feelings. The negative correlation between emotional abilities and symptoms of burnout is exacerbated during times of stress. It is concluded that there are two mechanisms of the protective influence of emotional intelligence: direct, which prevents exhaustion by controlling and regulating negative emotions, and indirect, through a sense of self-efficacy resulting from the successful overcoming of professional challenges

Patients admitted to Critical Care Units (CCU) face multiple stressors, and these stressors cause anxiety in patients. Anxiety increases heart function in heart patients. High levels of anxiety in cardiac patients increase in association with hospital complications. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) on reducing the anxiety of patients in CCU during their hospitalization. The study design was quasiexperimental (pre-test and post-test). This study was performed on patients in CCU of Shahid Mostafa Khomeini hospital in 2019; for this purpose, 30 patients in CCU were randomly divided into intervention (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. Before the intervention, the demographic variables questionnaire and DASS-21 anxiety questionnaire were completed by both groups. Then, the intervention group received CBT for eight sessions according to the average number of hospital days (eight days) by the therapist (researcher). The control group did not receive any intervention. After the intervention, the demographic variables questionnaire and DASS-21 questionnaire were completed by the intervention and control groups again. Data analysis was done by SPSS-21 software and descriptive tests, ANOVA, and independent and pairwise t-test. There was no significant difference between the two groups in the mean score of anxiety before treatment, but the mean score of anxiety significantly decreased after treatment in the intervention group (9.63±2.773) compared to the control group (13.23±2.115; p<0.001). CBT can reduce the level of anxiety in patients admitted to CCU, and this method can be used as a simple and low-cost complementary non-pharmacological practice in these patients.

Objective: This study aims to investigate the problems that neuropedagogy can solve in the context of the educational process. Background: Research in neuropedagogy has been gaining popularity in recent years. This has been driven by advances in technology and the social sciences. Every year more and more scientists approach the subject of neuropedagogy to modernise the educational system and improve the educational process. Method: The main research methods in this scientific article are the comparative method, methods of analysis and data synthesis, the historical method, as well as the theoretical analysis of scientific literature related to the subject matter. Results: The study explored the concept of neuropedagogy and the principles on which it is based. Practical recommendations for teachers of Kazakhstan have been developed. Scientific articles on the subject matter are analysed, the degree of research and the effectiveness of the implementation of neuropedagogy in the educational process is assessed. Conclusion: It was concluded that the use of neuropedagogy would provide an opportunity to improve and modernise the education system

Communication is powerful instruments of interaction that provide equality to those who have a severe intellectual disability. We are presenting a comprehensive communication model to enhance their chances of interacting with others and improving professionals' understanding of intellectual disability. Most of the existing literature on different disabilities focuses on people who have some capacities to perform certain skills to a certain degree. Our model allows effective learning and proactive interaction for both the disabled and the professionals. Moreover, it offers resources and a wide range of knowledge about the syndromes and the right strategies to be used. The idea of this research paper arose out of an awareness that students with language learning disabilities are completely ignored in the educational system, and there are no special programs that cater to these students. They are placed in normal schools that are not prepared to deal with their unique difficulties. This paper, therefore, is an attempt to provide teachers with multiple-strategies models for teaching English language skills to these students at the intermediate level and beyond. Also, this research paper describes strategies for language learning and language use in regular language activities.

This thesis endeavors to understand how that complex relationship evolved and how it works in today's world and shows how artistic memorial facilities can help emotionally to people. The architectural style has evolved over time as the general public's preferences have changed and as new materials and building processes have been discovered. Some styles have been fads that have quickly come and gone, while others have stood the test of time and been around for centuries, even influencing some modern architecture today. The socio-political, socio-cultural processes taking place in modern society require a serious rethinking of the spiritual, moral, cultural, and historical values underlying the artistic and aesthetic comprehension of the world by students. The problem of the aesthetic education of the younger generation, the gradual revival of traditions and culture of peoples is acquiring special relevance at present. At the same time, interest in studying the problems of introducing young people to culture, particularly works of art of architecture - architectural monuments, is of great importance. Researches suggest that child abuse is related to a previous history of violence within the family setting and the evolution of the learning process. The current study was aimed to investigate the exposure of child abuse in the case of distance learning and its relationship to some variables of the social-cognitive processing among parents who potentially assaulted their children. The survey research method was applied. The questionnaire consisted of three blocks of questions: socio-demographic block, parents' impressions of distance learning at school, violence, and parents' aggression towards children. The sample included 308 primary school children’s parents from the Zakarpatska region (Ukraine). Results show that parents' reaction to learning difficulties is not always constructive because most stressful situations provoke verbal aggression and physical violence towards the child. Distance learning and related difficulties have become a major factor in violent and aggressive behavior towards children during quarantine. Most parents who allowed maltreatment toward their children before pandemic COVID-19 also demonstrated it during distance learning. Our study found a link between parents' use of physical violence and verbal aggression with the following variables: duration of lockdown, the function of the teacher in distance learning, parents' assessment of the process and learning outcome, qualitative changes in the relationship between parents and children during quarantine. The study of violent situations against children during distance learning will provide an opportunity to develop effective preventive and corrective measures. The process of informing about situations of violence against children can have a psychoprophylactic effect

This preliminary study proposes to investigate (i) the mean comfortable deep pressure of Autism Hug Machine Portable Seat (AHMPS) manual pull and inflatable wrap models; and (ii) the effect of using AHMPS in reducing anxiety in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).The first phase was done to determine the comfort test. Fifteen healthy adolescents (13 men and 2 women; aged 19-25 years) individuals volunteered to participate in the comfort test in determining the pressure of AHMPS, both manual pull, and inflatable wrap. The second phase was completed in children with ASD, in which the comforting pressure from the first phase was then applied to five children with ASD (4 boys and 1 girl; aged 8-15 years) from the Putra Mandiri Public Special School Semarang. All children were administered both the AHMPS inflatable wrap and manual pull as a deep pressure apparatus while traveling by bus. A pulse oximeter was used to measure heart rate variability (physiological arousal).The mean comfort pressure was obtained from 15 healthy subjects, which was 0.81 psi on the chest and 0.80 psi on the thigh for the manual pull; and 0.65 psi on the chest and 0.45 psi on the thigh for the inflatable wrap. In the second phase, the AHMPS manual pull did not significantly decrease heart rate with p=0.114, but the AHMPS inflatable wrap significantly decreased heart rate with a significance value of p=0.037. We conclude, therefore, the AHMPS inflatable wrap decreases physiological arousal in children with ASD.

Down syndrome is one of the most common chromosomal disorders in pediatrics characterized by variable intellectual disability, generalized joint laxity, and hypotonia that compromises their function andcauses a delay in developing gross motor skills, poor balance, and coordination. Thus, this study aims to determine the current yet effective treatment approaches to improve balance in the Down syndrome population. The studies were explored across seven electronic databases that include MEDLINE, PubMed, Cochrane Library, Google Scholar, Scopus, PEDro, and Web of Science from inception till October 2020 comprised of experimental studies published in English language investigating the effects on balance in children and adults diagnosed with DS considering different interventions. A total of 1,570 records were retrieved from seven electronic databases published between the year's tenure of 2013-2020. 144 full-text papers were extracted to be reviewed, of whichonly 18 experimental studies were selected on the basis of inclusion criteria that involved 493 Down syndrome patients, investigated the effects of therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient-related instructions on standardized balance scales/tests. It was concluded that all the included trials demonstrated significantly profound effects in improving the static and dynamic balance of Down syndrome patients. Therefore, none of the interventions is declared as superior to another in terms of obtained results. Furthermore, these diverse interventions need to be investigated more for better understating and generalizability of outcomes

The study evaluated the effect of COVID-19 and the containment measures on Nigerian journalists and journalism practice in Nigeria. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design, with a questionnaire and personal interviews as instruments for data collection. A total of 362 copies of the questionnaire were correctly completed and returned by the respondents, and 25 editors and management staff of selected media organizations in Nigeria were interviewed for the study. The study's findings indicated that Nigerian journalists were actively involved in COVID-19 containment efforts in the country and that COVID-19 containment measures negatively affected journalists' performance and journalism practice in Nigeria. It is recommended, among others, that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) should be provided for a journalist covering the pandemic, and journalists' fundamental human rights should be respected in COVID-19 containment efforts.

Congregational worship among the religious organizations in Africa and Latin America, particularly the rapidly expanding Christian missions, has been of significant consideration in the light of medical recommendations involving social distancing and avoidance of large social gatherings concerning the coronavirus pandemic. This is among recent observations and has attracted more focus following an acute controversy over the role of the Church in Brazil vis-à-visgovernment policies on the Covid-19 pandemic and the fact that a number of churches in Nigeria were allegedly initially reluctant to respond to the government lockdown declaration and the resultant ban on congregational worship. Simultaneously, the agenda of financial and material assistance to the poor by the large Christian denominations in South Africa as one means of sustaining the lockdown rather attracted criticism, as they were unable to sustain the project. Furthermore, the role of religious bodies came to the fore as global surveys demonstrated that, on average, the masses in these two continents are among the most religiously observant people in the world. As we shall see in the concluding section, this is the major consideration of Idayat Hassan, Director of the Abuja-based Centre for Democracyand Development, in his assessment of the African context.

Objective: The purpose of the article is to connect the time perspective of the convicts with their self-concept. Background: After an extended stay in places of deprivation of liberty, it is difficult for convicts to adapt to the conditions of life in freedom, to restore the social ties that were lost and weakened due to isolation. And therefore, they often fall into the marginal part of the population, cannot find their place in life, and often replenish the number of unemployed or, even worse, re-enter the criminal path and commit crimes. Method: The following psychological methods were used: the technique of “Who am I?”, which allowed studying the cognitive component of the self-concept; the methodology of personal differential that provides an opportunity to study the emotional component of the self-concept; the self-attitude test questionnaire and the method of F. Zimbardo allowed to determine the main features of the time perspective. Results: The article reflects the study of convicts based on which a typology of “self-concept” of convicts was proposed. Besides, the results of a study of the temporal perspective of convicts depending on the type of self-concept are presented. Conclusion: The authors are inclined to believe that a detailed study of this problem will identify and provide effective ways to stimulate the constructive resocialization of various categories of prisoners

On March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak as pandemic just about threemonths after its emergence in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. The outbreak of COVID-19 launched the world into a public health crisis, impacting families, schools, and communities in unprecedented ways. This paper examines the existence of pandemic planning and preparedness for institutions serving PLWD in order to ensure continued service for its users. The research also analyses the considerations applied to address the challenges that a pandemic will present. This study comes at an opportune moment when institutions serving PLWD become overwhelmed and fac e possible closure of their facilities. As COVID-19 continues to have wide-reaching impacts across the globe, it is important to understand how persons with disabilities are uniquely impacted by the pandemic, including health, education, and food security.Method: A qualitative study was considered complemented by telephone interviews in two facilities (Evaton and Katlehong) serving PLWD were used as a case study. Results: The paper concludes that adequate pandemic planning and preparedness in response to COVID-19 are critical to saving both lives and livelihoods and continuous service delivery. The respondents articulated a need for inclusive strategies where disabled people are involved as consultants and partners, not just as users. Conclusion: Diligent planning was found to be essential. The results highlight the role of the institutions serving PLWD in being effective and supporting service delivery and food security

This paper is aimed at exploring the role of the United Nations Disability Inclusion Strategy as a rights-based concept in understanding the recent COVID-19 outbreak; and how Cultural-Safety Capability Information, visible within the DSM-5, is linked with the achievable recovery and inclusion for persons with disabilities and post-COVID-19 pandemic for health and social care practitioners. There are two measured, actionable targets from the Disability Inclusion Strategy that are geared towards achievable standards of health for persons with disabilities, which are the identifying and eliminating of obstacles and barriers to accessibility in healthcare facilities and the training of healthcare personnel on disability inclusion and improving service delivery for persons with disabilities. The concepts of recovery and inclusion are discussed within a rights-based, and Cultural-Safety Capability Information (DSM-5) approaches in order to curb the COVID-19 info-demic (Information epidemic). This paper has recommendations for the United Nations Disability Inclusion Strategy as a rights-based idea and the re-educating and re-orientation of both the right-holders, persons with disabilities, for example, and the duty-bearers. This paper also discusses the health and social care practitioners and their realisation of health care and recovery, curbing inequalities in accessing health care, education, and easing participation for persons with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic

This paper aims to explore the social-ethics dimension and the psychosocial support for persons with disabilities, as well as health and social care practitioners during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond regarding quarantine conditions currently ravaging the world. The COVID-19 outbreak has motivated the enactment of public health control procedures, particularly quarantines. The impacts of quarantines during this COVID-19 outbreak period and the interventions to relieve the strain are discussed through a descriptive analysis pattern and linked with social ethic and psychosocial support for behavioural health and social work practices. The role of the social-ethic perspective is that it is geared towards reducing the psychosocial impacts of the COVID-19 quarantine for persons with disabilities and for disability care. This paper outlines psychosocial uneasiness, including distress and stressors, as a result of the hazards and anxiety sensitivities, as well as the immense concern for persons with disabilities and their care practitioners during quarantine and beyond. This paper offers new insights on the COVID-19 virus and the quarantine measures that were missed, which could have averted its spread globally; quarantine or lockdown has a secondary effect in lessening the capacity of the virus's transmission and decreases the likelihood of people contracting, and thus infecting others. This paper suggests recommendations for persons with disabilities in quarantine and their families and the management of perceptions of public health risks, threats, and issues about health and social care workers becoming "covitors” (meaning COVID-19 survivors) now and post-COVID-19.

A common cause of disruption of family communication is adultery, which creates a traumatic situation and even leads to family destruction. The purpose of the article is to investigate sexual and psychosocial disorders in family communication under adultery—research methods. The study used validity methods «Eysenck Inventory of Attitudes to Sex» and «Diagnostics of the inferiority complex». Statistical methods. For the non-parametric data correlation variables, the Spearman coefficient was used, Kendall's, Pearson's. Results: The present study found the destructive effect of the psychological characteristics of sexuality on family functioning in CGA. The connection between disappointment with existing sexual relations and desire for sexual satisfaction was established (p <0.05). Conflicts between beliefs and internal impulses were detected (p <0.05). It was found that treating a partner as a sexual object without finding sensual pleasure correlated with intolerance to a verbal description of bed scenes (p <0.05). Sexual shyness is a characteristic of couples with sexual inactivity and aversion to sexual manifestations (p <0.05). Gender-based violence (GBV) has always been an issue of concern in South Africa and Globally. This problem of gender-based violence is currently exacerbated due to the lockdown restrictions. Women and children are targets for Covid-19 related frustrations as gender-based violence reports increase during the lockdown period. Across the country, civil society groups, gender-based violence advocacy organisations, religious groups, and other social justice groups have reported an increase in incidences related to violence against women and children and heightened demand for emergency shelters. Moreover, at the beginning of June 2020, Nehawu mentioned that reports suggested that the number of gender-based violence cases had risen by 500 per cent since the start of the Covid-19 lockdown. Employing the literature review, the paper elaborates on the nature of gender-based violence reported in South Africa and further highlights how gender-based violence has increased during the lockdown period. In this paper, I use the social dominance theory to understand the escalation of gender-based violence when people ought to be focusing on curbing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. Observing COVID-19 protocols and encouraging one another to adhere to protocols in the endeavour to reduce the spread of the pandemic ought to be the focus of everyone irrespective of their gender. The suggestions on how to eliminate the scourge of gender-based violence with the advent of the COVID19 are herein presented.

Students with disabilities have been going through different forms of discrimination and exclusion. These include inaccessible learning materials and learning platforms, negative attitudes from lecturers, fellow students and more. This paper comes from a qualitative study that sought to explore how Covid-19 deepened these educational inequalities at an Open Distance Learning institution in South Africa. The results of the study reveal that institutions of higher learning had to quickly adjust their teaching and assessment to online mode. This led to heightened exclusion of students with disabilities as their examinations had to be postponed to second semester due to lack of preparations for special examinations. Students also reported experiencing extra pressure as they had to write double the examinations at the end of the year. Some students reported lack of access to assistive technologies which they normally borrow from the library, this was because the Post Office was not operating during the National Lockdown Level 5. The novel nature of Covid-19 is such that the real barriers it caused on people and students with disabilities in particular and it will keep revealing itself gradually. This paper ends by making recommendations on how an ODL institution could accommodate the needs of students with disabilities to enhance their learning experiences during pandemics or natural disasters.

Objective:The purpose of this work is to study the characteristics of communication in children with intellectual disabilities. Background:The study of the specificities of communication in children with intellectual disabilities has become more and more relevant in the past few years. Method:The methodological basis of this study was the combination of various theoretical methods of cognition. Results:In the process of writing this work, the author studied the techniques of verbal and non-verbal communication. The works of Russian and foreign authors, as well as methods of improving communication in children with intellectual disabilities, were considered. It was found that the impact of intellectual disabilities with mild mental retardation on the cognitive, behavioural and emotional-personal spheres of the communicative process naturally entails the emergence of serious difficulties in establishing contacts with people around, and therefore in the process of social adaptation of the child in general. Conclusion: The practical significance of this work lies in the study of the characteristics of communication in children with intellectual disabilities, which will be useful for psychologists, teachers and medical workers. The study and research of this topic will provide further opportunities for the development of a program of psychological influence to optimise communication for children with intellectual disabilities and their adaptation in society.

Objective: The purpose of the study is to investigate the specific features of non-verbal communication in children with intellectual disabilities in the dynamics of psychological impact.Background: Gestures are one of the most important components of non-verbal communication. The development of non-verbal communication in children with intellectual disabilities contributes to their normal social adaptation.Method: To study the current state and dynamics of the development of the ability to recognise and understand gestures in the process of psychological influence, factor analysis was used by the principal component method with the use of varimax rotation. To verify the applicability of factor analysis to the selected variables, the Kaiser-Meier-Olkin measure of sample adequacy and Bartlett's sphericity test were used. Results: The data of the study showed that, depending on the level of intelligence or, more precisely, on the diagnosis given to the child, there are differences in the dynamics of the development of the components of non-verbal communication. Children with mild mental retardation display lower results than children with mixed specific disorders of psychological development and children with a normative level of intellectual development. Conclusion: The results obtained in the process of this study can be applied in practice by teachers and psychologists when working with children with intellectual disabilities.

Objective: The present study was conducted to identify the features of nonverbal communication in children. Background: Nonverbal communication is a significant aspect of interpersonal communication. American scientists have found a strong correlation between low ability to recognise facial expressions, interpretation of postures, and gestures with communication difficulties. Experimental data indicate a positive relationship between the social status of an individual and the ability to interpret nonverbal signals. The general dynamics of the development of a child with disabilities are subject to the same laws as ordinary children. But the peculiarities of children associated with a disturbance of the intellectual sphere lead to the limitation of possibilities to obtain information from the outside world, a change in the methods of communication, difficulties of social adaptation, and impoverishment of social experience. Method: Students of the first-grades of educational institutions of St. Petersburg were the survey sample. Several public and special schools were randomly selected in order to form the most detailed picture of the development of nonverbal behaviour in children, as well as to obtain the most representative sample for our study. A total of 128 children took part in the study – students of the first-grade (average age – 7.4 years; 47 girls, 81 boys). Results: A programme of psychological influence was developed to optimise the nonverbal communication of children with intellectual disabilities. Conclusion: With psychological influence aimed at the development of nonverbal communication among primary schoolers with intellectual disabilities, more intact mental functions associated with the implementation of emotional and behavioural components were taken into account.

The article aims to study scientific and methodological features of the ways to enhance students’ learning activities in the context of higher education.The study's theoretical significance is derived from the in-depth analysis of the development of students' learning activity. The study offers the framework of characteristics for the concept of “students’ learning (cognitive) activity”. The main used methods were: analysis, peer-assessment, self-assessment. The interview method was used to make a cognitive profile of the participants, taking into account their psychological characteristics.The authors developed and scientifically tested educational model based on module curricula and interactive teaching methods to enhance students’ learning activity. The authors also reflected the dynamic of the learning activity of the students with disabilities participating in the experiment. The results proved the effectiveness of the developed model of enhancing students' learning activity by using interactive teaching methods. It was concluded that the module curricular and active teaching methods help enhance students with disabilities' learning activity and make them more responsible in respect to the results of their study.

Background: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) continues to rise at an astonishing rate. As many schools attempt to create an inclusive environment conducive for students with autism to support academic success, we must recognize the teacher's role in creating an inclusive classroom. Using a student-specific teaching self-efficacy measure might provide more useful information for supporting teachers' beliefs for teaching students with ASD. Teachers with high self-efficacy have a positive impact on student achievement. The purpose of this investigation was to develop an instrument that can be used to measure teachers’ self-efficacy for effectively working with students with ASD. The original version of the scale was translated and back-translated into Persian, followed by a pilot study. A sample (n=633) of university students was recruited. Results indicated that the scale represented a unidimensional construct with acceptable internal consistency. Exploratory factor analysis demonstrated the unidimensionality of the TSE-ASD. The maximum likelihood confirmatory for the 12-item TSE-ASD model indicated excellent model fit indices (χ2/df=2.60, CFI=0.956, SRMR=0.049, PCLOSE >0.05, RMSEA=0.062, 90% CI [0.052, 0.082]). As for criterion-related validity, The Pearson correlation coefficients between (TSE-ASD score) and self-regulation (r= 0.72, p<0.01) revealed a large correlation and linear regression indicating that TSE-ASD significantly predicted self-regulation, b = 0.69, p < 0.001. Using a student-specific teaching self-efficacy measure might provide more useful information for supporting teachers' beliefs for teaching students with ASD. The findings provide evidence that TSE-ASD is a reliable and valid instrument for assessing teacher self-efficacy for teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in educational settings among Persian speaking individuals.

To date, intensive care medicine, anesthesiology, and resuscitation are medical spheres that deal with lifesaving issues, particularly the treatment of patients in critical or life-threatening situations. The profession of anesthesiologist-resuscitator is relatively new, although it has centuries-old prehistory. The study aims to identify personality traits that predispose to the formation of emotional burnout syndrome in anesthesiologists-resuscitators. The research was performed at the Anesthesiology and Resuscitation Departments of the regional healthcare facilities in Astana and Akmola cities. Findings obtained through this research confirm the hypothesis that personality traits in anesthesiologists-resuscitators are factors that facilitate the development of emotional burnout syndrome. Such a discovery necessitates the prevention of personality destructions as well as the establishment of conditions to reduce them in the case of occurrence. Proper arrangement of the work schedule and a favorable working environment allows preventing the emotional burnout among employees.

The purposeof the study was to identify the specifics of creativity in student age and the peculiarities of socio-psychological adaptation in a politically and economically unstable environment, as well as gender and micro group patterns of the relationship between creativity and adaptability. The methods such as the Guilford-Torrance method, “Desire for creativity” Scale, Kettell test, Methods of Moreno sociometry, Leary’s method, and Dembo-Rubinstein method were used to monitor the variables. The study identified that non-verbal creativity develops in individuals aged 16-17 years. The creative attitude to life develops in the ones aged 17-18. At the age of 18-19, creativity becomes the most integrated into the system of personal characteristics are motivational and personal components of creativity, which form positive connections with the fundamental adaptive personality characteristics, which indicates a greater adaptiv e resource of creatively oriented individuals. It was also found that boys, compared to girls, were more prone to leadership, more persistent, assertive (E), more emotionally stable (C), calm (O), and also more independent (Q2). Girls were more likely to feel guilty, anxious (O), more sociable, open(A), sensitive, and vulnerable (I). The study found that students with a high level of development of divergent thinking and its components (cognitive factors of creativity) carry out interpersonal communication (as a component of adaptation) most flexibly and effectively making students less prone to depersonalisation and reducing the risk of emotional exhaustion and maladaptation.

Academic anxiety is one of the major problems in student psychology across the world. It applies equally to students of all ages, from elementary school to college and university students.Research shows that learning online is an effective way to defuse feelings of academic anxiety. Elimination of anxiety is clearly visible regardless of age, gender, or prior online learning experience. The study aims to identify academic anxiety as one of the most important reasons for moving to online learning or blended learning in secondary school.The study investigated academic anxiety among secondary school students in Vietnam. After surveying 677 students in classroom learning, the results showed that 13.7% of secondary students suffered from frequent anxiety, and 3.0% of them suffered from very frequent anxiety. Lower anxiety was observed among students actively participated in-class activities, and students with excellent academic performance. These factors can be optimally enhanced through blended and online learning. There were no differences in academic anxiety among male and female students, urban and rural students. There was a moderate correlation between a student's anxiety level and pressure of the school, parental expectations, students' motivation for high performance, and especially, among students who have the melancholic temperament. And the influence of these negative factors can also be optimally reduced with the help of online learning.Regression model could provide useful suggestions for parents, teachers and students in reducing academic anxiety for students, including the use of full or blended online learning.

In psychology, the world's multidimensionality is manifested in the study of consciousness, in identifying the methodological foundations of psychology and psychology of consciousness. The structure of the multidimensional world of a man is described from the point of view of the subject's understanding of the characteristic features of the realities where man lives. Aims of study are to formulate and consider the problem of the world's reality and the multidimensionality of the reality of the individual in the perspective of the semantic architecture of consciousness and within the framework of a holistic model of representation of the psychology of understanding the human world. The pragmatic aim of the present research is to set a quantitative measure in which a person is drawn into virtual reality (TER).The meta-analysis of publications with quantitative empirical data reporting on the results of staff training using virtual and augmented reality. The criteria of the search were that articles must be published exceptionally in peer-reviewed journals and be issued not older than in 2017. The platform for the effective search was the Google Scholar search engine. The transfer efficiency factor (TER) was the key element of the analysis. All gathered data extracted from the relevant literature sources were interpreted through observation, description, quantitative calculation, complex analysis, methods of comparison, generalization, and abstraction method. Although learning conditions with more virtual immersion lead to slightly worse results than real learning conditions, most people show similar results after learning, regardless of the level of virtual immersion. The inhomogeneity of acceptance by individuals of virtual reality is found out in quantitative data of the considered studies. The average score for the performance of each training condition represented in the scientific works considered for this study, as well as the 95% confidence interval, was calculated. It was found out that the value of TER 0.5 turned into a percentage by multiplication by 100%, indicates that training on the simulator can reduce the time of personal training by half. Presence is a psychological phenomenon that occurs in the human mind, not in specific technologies. The usage of virtual reality in learning affects the sense of presence and immersion. It directly affects an individual's perception of world reality. At the same time, the individual consciously accepts the picture of simulated reality, which emphasizes the multidimensionality of the individual's reality.

Today, considering professional specialists' needs, the content and technology of training in career counseling from the perspective of practice are not sufficiently developed. Thus, a search for new forms, methods, and means of conducting career guidance with students is necessary. This article offers a broad range of technologies and their optimal combination in career guidance work with pupils in the integrated system “School – University.”A leading approach to the study of this problem is an integrative approach that leads to the necessity to use traditional and innovative technologies that contribute not only to effective assimilation of knowledge but also an early social adaptation of the prospective adolescents to university conditions.The present study consists of a needs assessment of students' career guidance and career counseling programs in the university. The research is based on a survey developed on a sample of 120 students from the Almaty schools. The collected data has been both qualitative and quantitative. The students have been inquired about their professional path, about their career decisions, personal and professional values, abilities and competencies, intentions for the future, etc. The study's most relevant results show that: students are poorly informed about job opportunities, their expectations for the future are not connected with their own knowledge and abilities, they do not have a coherent career plan, and they encounter major barriers in the career decision process. The results are important for career counselors as they can be used to develop career guidance programs in the university environment.Purpose of the research: to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the pedagogical conditions of vocational guidance for senior schoolchildren in the context of specialized education.The article is valuable for teachers and faculty of educational and vocational institutions to organize and conduct career guidance with students, applicants, and students.

Rotter have been used. While studying, it was underlined that master students possess: increased externalities trends in personal and industrial relations (i.e., the main areas for the teacher relationship), strengthening conservative tendencies in behavior, as opposed to radicalism and other professional qualities for teaching and research activities. The essence of the concept "creative thinking" is considered, and its working definition is formulated. Special attention is given to the identification of pedagogical foundations of future teachers' creative thinking development, which accounting will promote the increase of the efficiency of the considered process. Future teachers' creative thinking development is advantageously realized in the course of students’ vocational training, during which it is necessary to rely not only on mental development regularities knowledge (theoretical thinking, creative thinking peculiarities, sustained attention, imagination, and integration of memory) and students' individual characteristics (maturity of motivation to creative activities, the maturity of speech, volitional powers) but also on the competently organized didactic process (training to work with the concepts and their use, application of the system of creative tasks, developing the ability to overcome intellectual difficulties). Results of students’ activity studying on the basis of creative tasks have shown that creative thinking skills development depends on the students' thinking orientation in the processing of the received educational information; Also, creative thinking skills development depends on students' subjective attitude towards tasks, that is going to be helpful them during the educational process.This study aims to examine the essence of the concept of "creative thinking" and identify pedagogical foundations for its development in future teachers.
