The journal RAT is an open access journal and it had his first volume published in 2005 and is the result of the initiative of researchers associated with the Center of Tropical Roots and Starches (Cerat), São Paulo State University(UNESP) in order to create a discussion and reflection forum on topics related to agricultural sciences. Its structure is multidisciplinary allowing the diffusion of knowledge resulting from cientific research and technical experience in several areas, thus seeking changes that bring innovation and growth. The main form are scientific articles, however, at the invitation of the Editorial Board, the journal also publishes technical articles and review articles. This jounral provides a discussion platform for researchers from around the world exchange their experiences and discoveries. Authors are encouraged to submit complete original works that are not under review in any other journals. The sub-areas covered by the magazine are: agricultural economy rural engineering agriculture soil science fitotecnia management of pests, diseases and weeds genetics and plant breeding plant physiology and morphology irrigation and water management environmental impacts waste management animal science nutrition food science and technology
