Most of governments in developed countries implement E-government model to ease the interaction between citizens and their governments to conduct the standard citizen services such as renewing a passport or a driver license. Despite the maturity of the E-government in some developed countries, it is considered fairly new in Jordan. This paper addresses the method for building and launching the E-government in Jordan in four sections. The first section addresses an overview of the current information technology structure in Jordan. The second section addresses the problems facing information technology utilities to build the Jordan's E-government model. The third section addresses, the current status of e-government based on Jordan's experience, and finally the last section progress in launching E- Government in Jordan, and some suggestions are addressed to speed up the implementation of E-government in Jordan. The rapid development of wireless communication networks in recent years has made vehicle to vehicle (V2V) and vehicle to infrastructure (V2I) communications possible in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs). It has also led to the development of a new technology called vehicular ad hoc network (VANET), which aims to achieve road safety, infotainment, and a comfortable driving experience. It can support safety systems designed to avoid road accidents in two ways: 1) periodic transmissions (beacon) from all vehicles that inform neighbors about their current status, and 2) dissemination of emergency messages to warn other vehicles to avoid the danger. The intent of the research is to propose an efficient safety system for VANET by designing communication protocols and techniques to provide the means for successful transmission of safety-related information. Therefore, three protocols based on power control, contention, and position-based mechanisms are proposed to shape data traffic, such that messages are received with high probability and reliability where they are relevant. First, a method Coded Repetition Neighbor Table (CRNT) is proposed in [1], which aims to increase the network awareness to enable the network vehicles to know about current network situations and detect other vehicle movements. Second, a method called Particle swarm optimization Contention Based Broadcast (PCBB) is proposed in [2] for fast and effective dissemination of emergency messages within a geographical area to distribute the emergency message. Third, a method called Particle swarm optimization Beacon Power Control (PBPC) is proposed in [3], which aims to decrease the packet collision resulting from periodic messages leading to the control of the load on the channel while ensuring a high probability of message reception within the safety distance of the sender vehicle. Using the latest version of Matlab simulator, the merits of all the approaches, as well as of their synergies are demonstrated. Simulation results show that PBPC is capable of improving the reception rates of beacon messages and increasing the probability of reception of emergency messages over a wide range of distances between sender and receivers. PCBB enhances the delivery of the emergency information to all nodes located in a geographical area by more than 70%. Furthermore, it enables the emergency message to reach greater distances, thus benefiting the incoming vehicles receiving the important information. When PCBB is used in combination with CRNT and PBPC, the dissemination efficiency and delay are considerably improved. Finally, PBPC is capable of improving the channel performance by controlling the channel load resulting from the beacon messages, reducing packet collision by 50%. There are several research endeavors and results in aptly recognizing faces from video clips. However recognizing partially occluded and pose variant face images poses a greater challenge and concern for professionals in image and video processing fields. There are efforts underway for unearthing pragmatic algorithms and viable mechanisms for better recognition rate of occluded and pose-variant images. In this paper, a new method is proposed for efficiently recognizing human faces from videos with varying poses and partial occlusion. In the proposed model, a training dataset is created with faces of varying inclination and occluded region that are subjected to in-painting. A variety of features are being extracted using the discrete curvelet transform method from the captured faces in the training set and they are matched against the features from the videos for recognition. We have supplied the implementation results in this paper in order to demonstrate the efficiency of our approach and the algorithm leveraged. Speech recognition is an important part of human-machine interaction which represents a hot area of researches in the field of computer systems, electronic engineering, communications, and artificial intelligence. While speech signal is very complex and contains huge number of sampling points, the extraction of features from its time and frequency domain is very complex by analytical methods. The neural network capabilities to estimate the complex functions make it very reliable in such applications. This paper presents speech recognizer based on feed forward neural network with multi-layer perceptron structure. The speech is preprocessed by two methods; discrete wavelet transformation (DWT) and principal component analysis (PCA). The results and structure are presented and comparison is making over them.
