Curricular practices in the management of conflict and school violent behavior contribute to a culture of negative peace, these curricular practices only focus their attention on direct violence generated by students, they do not take into account structural violence, which may be rooted in institutional structure imbalance, hierarchical and authoritarian power, that encourage such practices. Also in this living coexistence, peace shows itself negative, because conflicts are not tolerated, to the extent that they are considered a problem, something difficult to handle, an alteration of tranquility. As a consequence, the main route for handling these is the authoritarian one, by way of punishing or penalizing, which far from improving conflict legitimize the increase, leading to a more violent behavior as a way of solvingit. In this regard conflict should be seen as a problem rather than an opportunity to promote coexistence.
