Most of Indian English literature quotes that the destination of each ones destiny is influenced by two important factors namely ‘Karma’ and ‘Dharma’. Karma is nothing but the action of life and the lessons we have to learn from it to correct our destiny, whereas Dharma means to live our life according to our duty to be done in this birth. Many of the Indian English novels project this basic principle of the theory of Karma that one’s past Karma influences the present. This has been realized by the protagonists as they progress/digress in their lives. Many novels also reflect the ‘Law of Identical Harvest’, which says that effects produced by our thoughts are more identical in nature to thought itself, like a corn reproduces only corn and a mango can reproduce only a mango.

The women’s understanding about trafficking is a key element in its prevention and management. Awareness of the subject is postulated to lead a better understanding of the subject by women. The present study is an attempt to understand the knowledge and attitudes of women towards trafficking. A survey of Muslim women in the age groups of 15 to 45 years was carried out in Batla House, Jamia Nagar area of Delhi. The survey revealed that the knowledge of trafficking of women was low among the respondents. It was found that the respondents could not explain the procedure to be followed in the event of trafficking.

Engineering deals with solving of society’s problems in a sustainable way. Our young generation can achieve this aim by equipping themselves with the right technology and skills. In most of the Indian engineering colleges, students are from different academic backgrounds. So, they need to be made competent enough to face the real challenges of today’s corporate world. Students require soft skills in addition to hard skills which enable them to effectively communicate and interact easily with others upon entering the real world of work. This paper explores the notion of “soft skills” and its role in educating “new millennium” engineers. The objective of this paper is to highlight some of the skills that are most sought after by employers. The paper also suggests some possible ways through which engineers can arm themselves with these skills so that they can enter and survive confidently in the corporate world.

In this paper we used η-µ fading channel as a fading model and maximal ratio combiner (MRC) which is one of the diversity combining technique considered at the receiver. Closed-form expressions for the capacity of maximal-ratio combining (MRC) diversity systems over η-µ fading channel are obtained and analyzed for an arbitrary number of input branches. Channel capacity for adaptive transmission techniques: Constant power with optimum rate adaptation (ORA), Channel inversion with fixed rate (CIFR) and Truncated channel inversion with fixed rate (TIFR) are derived. The effect of diversity order and fading parameters on the channel capacity with different adaptive transmission schemes has been studied.
