Objective:to evaluate dependence and movement in a group of older people of a Geriatrics Acute Unit (UDAG). Materials and methods: descriptive, cross-sectional, non-experimental study. Data was collected for three months; 75 older men and women who entered UDAG during August-October 2018 were evaluated. The dependency variable was measured using the checklist of the CIF Version 2.1a. The generic scale of the CIF was used to measure the movement. The types of movement evaluated were maintain basic body postures, maintain body position, transfer the body itself, use of the hand and arm, move through different places. The descriptive analysis was carried out through the elaboration of frequency tables and percentages. Results: 60% of the patients were female. 46.7% were in the range 80-89 years and 9.3% in the range of 100 to more years;54.7% were widowers. In the movements evaluated, 76% of the subjects showed partial or total dependence; the movement with greater autonomy was the use of the hand and the arm (24%), the movement with greater dependence was to move through different places (97.3%). Conclusion: a tendency to longevity and widowhood was observed. The CIF proved to be an appropriate instrument for the assessment of movement and dependence in hospitalized elderly people. The participants had greater dependence when moving through different places and greater autonomy in the use of the hand and arm.

Objective:to determine the relationship between types of blindness and postural alterations in students with visual impairment of an educational institution in Lima North, Peru. Materials and methods: cross-sectional correlational study, had as random sample of 96 students of both sexes, between 8 and 50 years of age. The Posturogram was used as instruments, which measured postural alterations such as head antepulsion, hypercifosis and hyperlordosis; and the Hernández Corvo Index to determine alterations in plantar footprint, including cavo foot and flat foot. On the other hand, the variable types of blindness was extracted from the institutional clinical history of each individual. Results: 72.9% of the sample evaluated were male, 41.7% had total blindness, 96.9% had a head antepulsion, when relating types of blindness and postural alterations, P values greater than 0.05 were obtained. Conclusion: in the sample evaluated there is no relationship between types of blindness and postural alterations.

Objective:to determine the relationship between personality traits and burnout syndrome in a group of public transport drivers. Materials and methods: a correlational study, and non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The sample was conformed by 50 conductors of public transport. Materials and methods: personality traits and burnout syndrome, measured by the Personality Factor Questionnaire (16pf-5) and the Burnout Maslach Inventory (MBI). The statistical package Stata 14 was used, for bivariate analysis Chi square, Anova, Kruskal Wallis, T-Student and Mann Whitney U were used. Results: there was a significant relationship between personality extraversion trait and SB (p=0.0312). The emotional exhaustion dimension of the SB was related to the level of study (p=0.048), the personal fulfillment dimension with the number of children (p=0.014), with the monthly salary income (p=0.034) and with alcohol consumption (p=0.003). The majority of the sample resided in southern Lima (42%), predominantly the type of nuclear family (46%), the level of secondary education (58%) and a time spent working from 10 yearsto more (46%). 56% had burnout syndrome on average. Conclusion: burnout syndrome is related to low levels of extraversion traits on transportation drivers, since they tend to do not have coping resources and are less receptive to social interaction, making them possible candidates to trigger symptoms of stress. It is suggested to implement social preventive programs, to counteract the symptoms of work stress.

Acquired immunodeficiency syndrome is associated with multiple infections, in which it is exposed to contracting neoplasms in the advanced stage of the disease; harming and altering not only biological aspects but psychosocial aspects of the sufferer. This case report presents a 19-year-old adolescent patient with HIV / AIDS, who was diagnosed at 18 years of age by sexual contact, was admitted to a National Hospital of the Northern Cone for complications with the development of her illness. Given the problematic reference, in this case report it was proposed to carry out nursing treatments, focusing on the improvement of the patient's quality of life focused on psychosocial well-being. The care plan was modified using the assessment of the 13 domains of the NANDA Taxonomy, according to positive and negative aspects. Through the difficulties, the prioritized negative aspects will be improved as diagnoses: low situational self-esteem, personal neglect, anxiety and risk of loneliness, in the same way the patient's quality of life will be improved with the promotion of their psychosocial well-being in this stage of his illness.

Objective:to determine what factors are associated with active listening in the clinical practice of nursing students in the Peruvian jungle. Materials and methods: the study was descriptive-correlational cross-sectional design. The population was made up of 85 undergraduate nursing students. The main variable was active listening measured by a self-directed questionnaire. Univariate and bivariate analysis were used using the Student t, ANOVA and Spearman correlation tests with the STATA version 14 program. Results: the average of active listening in students was 50.29. Likewise, the factors with the highest averages of active listening were attending hospital (mean = 53.60), attending hospital practices (mean = 52.41), living together (mean = 51.67) or married (mean = 51.00), having a relative with pathology chronic (mean = 51.46) and receive training on active listening or humanized care (mean = 51.10). Conclusion: nursing students have a high average of active listening. The factors associated with active listening were academic cycle, attendance at hospital practices, marital status, family with chronic pathology and training on active listening or humanized care. The results of this research aim to take importance on active listening and the factors that are involved during the clinical practices of the student, even the houses of study should motivate their teachers to promote this ability to communicate with their students.

Objective:to find the relationship between emotional dependence and self-esteem in students of a Pre-University Center of North Lima. Materials and methods: the population consisted of 172 students of both sexes whose ages ranged from 17 to 35 years. The scope of study was correlational with a cross-sectional design. Regarding the inferential analysis, the statistical tests of Chi squareand Kruskal Wallis were used with a level of significance less than or equal to 0.05. To assess emotional dependence, the Emotional Dependency Scale (CDE) was used and to determine self-esteem, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale was used. Results: 26.2% of the students reported emotional dependence. Similarly, a relationship was found between emotional dependence and self-esteem (p = 0.02). Likewise, a relationship was found between emotional dependence with age (p = 0.03) and sex (p = 0.00). On the other hand, there was evidence of a relationship between self-esteem and marital status (p = 0.04) and family type (p = 0.05). Conclusion: students who have high self-esteem do not report emotional dependence. Since, the person with a high self-esteem will have greater security, approval and affection for which it would not be necessary to look for all this in another person. Likewise, the factors that favor this adequate development are the marital status and the type of family.

Objective:to determine the association between knowledge and attitudes of humanized care in hospital nurses in Lima. Materials and methods: the study was non-experimental descriptive correlational cross-sectional. The population consisted of 80 nursing graduates from two hospitals in Lima who worked in adult hospitalization services. The variables that were taken into account were knowledge and attitudes about humanized care in nurses measured by self-directed questionnaires. Likewise, other sociodemographic and labor variables were considered. Univariate and bivariate analyzes were used with the Chi-square test and Student's t test. Results: the average knowledge on humanized care in nurses was 6.3 and 60% had a negative attitude. In addition, knowledge and attitudes about humanized care in nurses were associated (p=0.04). Likewise, the factors that were associated with knowledge about humanized care were sex and teaching. On the other hand, the factors that were associated with attitudes about humanized care were religion, teaching and working status. Conclusion: nurses have an average average of knowledge about humanized care and a negative attitude about it. Knowledge is associated with attitudes about humanized care of nurses. Faced with these findings, it is necessary to promote and provide quality care to the patient by the nurse and take into account the factors that are related to it.

Objective:to determine the relationship between the family social climate and the self-concept in adolescents of an educational institution. Materials and methods: correlational study of non-experimental design, cross-sectional and quantitative approach. The sample consisted of 189 adolescents between 12 and 17 in a school at Ventanilla-Callao. The Family Social Climate Scale (FES), the Form 5 Self-Concept Scale (AF-5) and a sociodemographic record were used. For data analysis, SPSS 23 software was used. At the descriptive level frequencies, percentages, arithmetic mean and standard deviation were used. For the inferential analysis, the Spearman correlation coefficient and the Mann Whitney and Kruskal-Wallis U tests were used. The level of statistical significance was ≦0.05. Results: a significant relationship was found between the family social climate and self-concept (p = 0.000). Male gender was related to the family social climate (p = 0.020) and self-concept (p = 0.000). 64% of adolescents presented a medium level in the family social climate and 50.3% self-concept at the same level. Conclusion: the findings indicate that if the adolescent perceives an adequate family environment, he could present a better self-concept. The male sex was related to the family social climate and self-concept, scored highest in interpersonal relationships, personal development, family structure, attributes and behaviors. The results of this study indicate the need to apply psychoeducational intervention strategies aimed at improving family relationships and self-concept.

Objective:the relationship between self-esteem, family dynamics and the level of adherence to treatment was determined in a group of adolescents diagnosed with diabetes mellitus type 1 of the Association of Diabetes in Children and Adolescents. Materials and methods: the type of study was correlational, not experimental, transversal. The sample consisted of 30 adolescents from 11 to 19 years old. The type of sampling was non-probabilistic, intentional. The Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory was used as a school and adult version; the APGAR Familiar questionnaire and a checklist of adhesion previously applied in a pilot test. For the processing of the data, statistical software STATA version 14 was used. For the bivariate analysis, the Chi-square and ANOVA tests were used. A statistical significance was considered ≤ 0.05.Results: 50% of adolescents had high self-esteem, 40% presented a slight dysfunction in family dynamics and 43.3% high adherence to treatment. Although no relationship was found between self-esteem (p=0.294) and family dynamics (p=0.281) with adherence to treatment, there was a relationship between adherence levels and sex (p=0.015). Conclusion: women presented greater adherence to treatment compared to men. From a holistic perspective of health, it must be taken into account that various factors such as sex, family relationships, self-esteem, and health support may be involved in adherence to diabetes mellitus treatment in adolescents.

Objective:to determine the relationship between study habits and academic procrastination in students of the education career of a private university. Materials and methods: Correlational, cross-sectional study with a quantitative approach. The sample was made up of 239 university students selected through non-probabilistic sampling. The Academic Procrastination Scale (EPA) and the Inventory of Study Habits (CASM -85) were used. Thestatistical package STATA 14was used. For the bivariate analysis the tests were used, T-student, ANOVA and Chi-square. Results: No significance was found between study habits and academic procrastination (p=0.7). There was a relation between the study form (p=0.05) and the task resolution of study habits (p=0.05) with sex. There was a relationship between the dimension of exam preparation and the postponement of academic pro-education activities (p=0.04). We found a relationship between the dimension of listening with the dimension of academic self-regulation (p=0.05)of academic procrastination. Conclusion: students postpone academic activities prior to the evaluation. The factors of self-regulation can be related to the postponement of activities. The university students need to incorporate a method of adequate productive study. It is necessary to develop research that deepens the influence of psychosocial factors on the habits of study and academic procrastination.

The massive tears of the rotator cuff have, as a final stage, the surgical treatment due to the superior and anterior migration of the head of the humerus towards the subacromial space, as well as degenerative changes in the acromion, glenoid cavity and head of the humerus. The present case deals with a patient who presents postoperative dysfunctional syndrome of the right shoulder due to hypomobility of the rotator cuff. He was operated on the right shoulder through arthroscopy, acromioplasty, and tenoplasty of the rotator cuff with the placement of subacromial spacer balloon. From this, post-surgical physiotherapy treatment focused on the healing of the tissues, considering the previous surgeries and the influence of type 2 diabetes. It was possible to recover the functionality of the shoulder with the decrease of pain, increase in joint range, muscular strength and the reintegration of the patient to their activities of daily life.
