Thе article discusses the main developments in information technоlogies of the hotel businеss, which is especially relevant due to the fact that tоday the prоcеss of economy digitalization in the Russian Federation significantly influences the hоspitality industry. Аutomation of hotels associated with the use of modern technologies pаrticularly improves the quality оf custоmer service. In this research, mаjor trеnds in the development of infоrmation technologies in the hotel business were identified. They include cloud computing, аrtificial intelligence, augmented reality, etc. This paper defines the mаin problems of the introduction of modern information technologies in the hospitality industry. One of the core trends in this sphere is the development and application of a variety of innovations and new elements that can serve as a powerful impetus for the development of the hospitality industry. Innovations of all kinds are essential for both the viability and competitiveness of hotel enterprises. The study rеvealed that currently, information technologies are improving rapidly, dirеctly impacting hotel business, but also assessing the hotel market of the Russian Federation. The author has explored data from a 2017–2020 survey of Russian and Foreign markets of technologies in the hospitality industry. Also, this work represents a comparative analysis of research findings pinpointing the impact of the innovations on the performance of hospitality industry enterprises.

This study empirically investigated the effect of tourism on Nigerian economic growth using annual time series data from 1980 to 2016. The study made use of standard neoclassical growth theory while ordinary least square (OLS) and Granger causality test was the estimation techniques used in the study. The result of the OLS revealed that gross capital formation and labour were positively related to gross domestic product while total average on spending, total visit and total earnings were negatively related with gross domestic product in Nigeria. Total visit and total earning were inversely related with gross domestic product, which is again the result expected. Also, the Adjusted R-square showed that about 72.8 % of the total variations in the behaviour of gross domestic product are explained by explanatory variables and the Durbin-Watson statistics of 2.108 implied that there is no autocorrelation or serial correlation in the data for the model. Also, Granger causality result revealed that out of the three tourism variable, causality only run from total earning from tourism to economic growth while causality does not run from both total average spending on tourism centre and total visit to economic growth. The study recommended that the authorities in charge of tourism in Nigeria need to embark on public-private partnership for more investment in tourism and this will go a long way in developing the country’s tourist centre and this will make our tourist centre to compete with others outside the country. There should be increase in spending on tourism centre so as to attract more visitor from within and outside the country and this will make the nation to have more revenue. There should be proper monitoring of our tourist centre and proper maintenance of the centre.

Tourism is a sector which has a significant impact on territories’ socio-economic development. This kind of economic activity is characterized by the multiplier effect due to the generating income determination in related industries. The target of research is the analysis of the dynamics of tourism development in the Vologda Oblast. The research is based on statistical data and reveals causes hampering its development. In conclusion the author suggests a set of measures to promote this industry in the region.

"In today's globalised, fast-paced society, we all want to be more efficient at work, but also want to enjoy life longer & in good shape. Some of us love to discover new horizons by traveling, sightseeing, enjoying different cultures. Such reaction, although its existence dates as far back as the ancient Greek Olympics, is the phenomenon of sport tourism. In our world, sport is one of the largest social phenomena, while tourism is the largest industry; recognizing the potential capacities of sport and tourism, it was just evident that these two would eventually be married, and would form an industrial couple that may someday become greater than the sum of its parts. The relationship between the two social sectors is far older than the attempts of binding them together from a scholarly aspect; and it was not until the 1970s that the common use of the term sport tourism started, in attempts for this special form of human travelling to be described (www.sport-tourism.com). In this paper, we point to some aspects of sports tourism with focus on Montenegro.

In the Russian Federation, the meaning and the use of the term “city competitiveness” has evolved significantly in recent times. However, the lack of consensus among Russian scholars about this concept partially explains the economic situation in last decades, and has become the core problem in urban policy. This paper proposes the ways to assess competitiveness, and clarifies its complex signification. Firstly, it reviews existing resources from the extensive literature on the topic. Then, some advices are given on how to achieve competitiveness. The main conclusion is that this set of actions could be considered as a first step towards generating more testable propositions.

Imereti is one of the most important historical, economic, cultural, and intellectual areas of Georgia. Geographically occupies the central part of Georgia. The region's geographical location, landscape, historical-cultural and natural monuments, agriculture, rich national traditions of hospitality create the preconditions for rural tourism development. There are many historical monuments, which covers the period from late antiquity until the beginning of XX-th century. These monuments give an idea to the visitor about the rich culture and history of Georgia. In Imereti has huge potential for adventure tourism, agro-tourism and eco-tourism. It is rich in resorts and resort places, which is a necessary condition for the success of medical tourism and leisure, each of them has some potential for tourism development in different directions. Rich terrain allows you to develop climbing and Cycling. Karst caves and interesting geomorphologic formations contribute to the development of climbing and speleotourism. Beautiful nature with diverse flora and fauna – those conditions that can develop in the region Hiking, camping, horse and eco-tours. The article considers the potential of tourism in Imereti region, which is not explored more fully, both local and foreign visitor.

At that, in the Russian Federation this branch is underdeveloped as contrasted with such foreign countries as China, USA, and Italy. The target of research is the market of domestic tourism in Russian regions. Research subjects are methods and forms of promoting the development of domestic tourism in the world and Russian regions. The research is based on theoretical and methodological works of Russian and foreign scientists and specialists in tourism industry and regional economy. The article presents the analysis of domestic tourism in the regions of Northwestern Federal District based on statistical data and reveals causes hampering its development. In conclusion the author suggests a set of measures to promote this industry in the region.

Among the many directions of tourism the wine tourism in Georgia is becoming particularly popular. Which is natural, the Caucasus and namely Georgia is the ancient homeland of the vine and the wine,the climate contributes to numerous varieties of the vine breed and its spreading. In certain regions of Georgia wine-related traditions, habits, rituals and wine-making rules differs from each other. Kakheti has a distinctive position among them. This article discusses aspects of wine tourism, trends and characteristics of Kakheti. The proper planning of tourist routes, its organizing is of great importance for the popularization of wine tourism. The conclusions set out in the article is underlined what should be done for successful implementation of tourist routes.
