This study examined the effect of banking, lending policy on the SMEs’ performance in Nigeria. The SMEs sector in Nigeria has been facing many difficulties in having access to the needed funds to run its business activities successfully. The commercial banks are reluctant to grant loans to the SMEs because they believe that giving loans to the SMEs is a risky business. Twenty four years macroeconomic data, from 1992 to 2015, were collected from the CBN Statistical Bulleting for this study. The findings indicate that SMEs sector is facing problem in accessing the needed loans from the commercial banks; while the commercial banks loans granting to the private sector are increasing, the commercial banks loans to the SMEs are declining; interest rate, commercial banks loans to the private sector have significant effects on SMEs’ performance, but commercial banks loans to the SMEs, exchange rate, and inflation rate do not have significant effect on SMEs performance.

There are large numbers of Banks providing almost all types of banking services in India which are required by all sections of the society. The Agriculture sector, the particularly agrarian community has been benefited by Cooperative banking since the inception of Cooperative legislation. The three-tier short-term cooperative Credit structure is playing a vital role in agriculture sectors. At grass root level there are a lot of cooperative societies’ functioning, which helps in solving the financial needs of the rural population. District Central Co-operative banks help these societies to raise money by way of loans. At apex level there is state co-operative bank are functioning. This three-tier system is working reasonably well in India. In this paper, an attempt is made to study the financial performance appraisal of the Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank which has been playing an important role in the economy of the state of Himachal Pradesh. The study covers the period of Three years from 2013-14 to 2015-16. The various parameters taken for the appraisal of the bank are Liquidity, Investments, Assets, and Incomes. The study is based on secondary data. The data required for the study has been collected from annual reports of the bank and various websites.

Personal Financial Planning refers to the management of available funds to an individual in order to spend monetary resources over time, to save for future life keeping in mind various financial risks and future uncertainties. It has been noticed that at the earlier decades the Financial Planning was mainly comprised of buying and selling of stocks, bonds and insurance, but slowly and steadily it has expanded to the other parts of the economy in the society. After that, Financial Planning included a broad variety of insurance planning, estate planning, investment planning and tax planning experts. This helped Financial Planning evolve into a comprehensive personal finance solution. This paper had been concentrated on different aspects of financial planning of individuals taking a target area of full-time college faculties under the University of Calcutta.

The purpose of the study was to explore the motivational factors among the women entrepreneurs who started their beauty parlors in Bangalore city. A mixed method approach was adopted and a questionnaire was designed with 25 items to measure the motivators of 81 women entrepreneurs. The study found that the triggers which influenced women to start beauty parlor included external, internal factors and meaningful engagement such as perks/rewards and education/competencies. These women opined that the beauty parlor industry is a small enterprise and is easy to manage, which provides them social status, financial independence and rewarding career through which they are able to balance their family and professional lives. The research will help improve strategy for women employees to explore opportunities for start-ups and would aid in better positioning the significance of the above factors to train women to explore the opportunities for becoming entrepreneurs.
