The draft strategy of the balanced development of the museum The strategic plan of the balanced development of Natural History Museum in Lviv in pereiod 2014-2024 years made within the project "Dynamic Museum" with the financial support of the charitable Fund of R. Akhmetov. The strategy of development takes into account the particular of history, regional methodology, of the genesis and ordering stock meeting naturals and research information about the biotic and landscape diversity of the western region of Ukraine. The general task of this strategy is an innovative transformation of the museum's activities in the direction of strengthening its social functions. Particular attention is paid to the absorption of personnel manager practices applied, in particular, management and marketing, recourse to methods of public works, museum pedagogy, aesthetic perception and creative motivation. The new social – economic conditions cause the introduction of innovative network organization of the work, making it possible to use interactive technology and develop territorial periphery of the museum influence.

Protection and renewal of species variety is an important problem nowadays. Genetic information accumulated in the course of evolution is unique and vanishing of any species or population leads to their irreversible losses. It is especially urgent for the rare, relict and endemic species of plants which mainly have a small number of populations and limited natural habitats. Disappearance of any population results in the irretrievable loss of a part of species’ features. The investigation of population is considered to be the base to fill the content of the Red Lists, besides the investigations help to determine the level of threat of a species and develop measures as to the protection and renewal of population. The Ukrainian Carpathians numbers 20 species registered in the basic international Red Lists. The article contains information concerning 6 rare herbaceous species in the Ukrainian Carpathians, namely: Achillea schurii, Heracleum carpaticum, Larix polonica, Pulmonaria filarszkyana, Silene dubia, Silene zawadskii which has been accumulated and supplemented.

Gural-Sverlova N. Land malacocomplex of park and forest-park biotopes of Lviv and their general antropogenic changes As a whole 76 species of the land molluscs were registered in the park and forest-park biotopes of Lviv during 2010-2013 years. Among them the finds of Plicuteria lubomirskii, included in the Rote List of Ukraine, and a number of the rare species (Daudebardia rufa, D.brevipes, Discus perspectivus, Vallonia enniensis) deserved of the special attention. Compared with the data of the 10-15 years standing the active spread in the park and even forest-park biotopes of the anthropochor slugs Krynickillus melanocephalus and Arion lusitanicus s.l. was recorded.

Beshley S., Sokhan’chak R., Baranov V. Changes in hydrothermal regime of substrates in overgrowth of the Calamagrostis epigeios (L.) Roth on the coal mining rock dumps in Chervonograd industrial-mining region The changes in humidity and field temperature in the overgrowth of the Calamagrostis epigeios (L.) Roth on the coal mining rock dumps in Chervonograd industrial-mining region have been investigated. According to the elements of mesorelief a decrease of field moisture and temperature rise was observed in the bare substrate in the direction from the foot of dump to its top. It is shown that under the clumps of the C. epigeios the increase of field moisture and fall of temperature is observed in summer during its vegetation period. Changes in moisture and temperature conditions on the coal mining rock dumps depend on the exposure, elements of mesorelief, substrate types, stage of owergrowing, and, consequently, the type of vegetation.

The habitat types of Kleparyv forest park in Lviv and its sozological valuating The habitat diversity research of Kleparyv forest park, Lviv, was done. 17 types of habitat which belong to 12 group and 6 classes were determinate and described. 9 among them are anthropogenic, 6 are natural and 2 – seminatural. The beech forest habitat and habitat of calcareous rocky slopes with chasmophytic vegetation are the most valuable for consecrating biodiversity; both mentioned habitat types are included to list of protective habitat "Natura 2000".

Shrubovych J. Taxonomical and chorological analysis of separate genera of Protura from family Acerentomidae The genera Acerentulus, Tuxenentulus, Acerentomon and Nipponentomon, which belong to family Acerentomidae and to three subfamilies Berberentulinae, Acerentominae and Nipponentominae, were analyzed. Two pairs of morphologically similar genera are clearly defined geographically (they have European or Beringian areas of distributions). The first pair of genera, Acerentulus and Tuxenentulus, is characterized by decreasing number of body setae and reductions of some morphological structures іn Tuxenentulus. Another pair of genera, Acerentomon and Nipponentomon, shows an increase of set of body setae and several other evolutionary more advanced morphological characters of the body structure.
