Ultrasonic velocity and density measurements for binary mixtures of aniline + 1-butanol at T= (303.15 –318.15) K, are conducted at atmospheric pressure. Some thermo acoustical parameters like adiabatic compressibility (β),molar volume (Vm), inter molecular free length (Lf) and acoustic impedance (Z)have been calculated from experimental measurements.The results have been used qualitatively to explain the molecular interaction between the components of these mixtures. Further, the results are further supported by FT-IR spectra.

Despite the generally accepted use of the LSCMA, few analytical results on its convergence have appeared in the open literature. The performance of the algorithm has instead been demonstrated through Monte Carlo simulation. The lack of analytical results is due to the difficulty of analyzing the non-linear CMA cost function. Existing work on the convergence behavior of CMA mostly deals with finding minima of the CMA cost function and finding undesirable stable equilibrium in equalization applications.We next examine an environment containing two complex sinusoids, and show that the LSCMA output SIR can be predicted for each iteration. It is shown that the average behavior of the LSCMA in this environment is similar to the deterministic behavior in the two-sinusoid environment. Ultrasonic velocity, density and viscosity have been measured using the standard techinques in the binary mixtures of benzyl benzoate (1) and 1-octanol (2) and isophorone(2). In the light of the excess parameters like excess adiabatic compressibility, excess internal pressure, excess enthalpy, excess activation energy etc. computed from the measured data, intermolecular interactions are estimated as strong AB interactions in both the mixtures. It is also observed that all the theories except FLT and VANDAEL have a sharp edge in predicting the velocities theoretically

The convergence behavior of the Least Squares Constant Modulus Algorithm in an adaptive beam forming application is examined. It is assumed that the desired signal and the interference are uncorrelated. The improvement in output SIR with each iteration of the algorithm is predicted for several different signal environments. Deterministic results are presented for an environment containing two complex sinusoids. Probabilistic results are presented for a constant modulus desired signal with a constant modulus interferer and with a Gaussian interferer. The asymptotic improvement in output SIR as the output SIR becomes high is also derived. The results of Monte Carlo simulations using sinusoidal, FM, and QPSK signals are included to support the derivations

The paper consisted of two parts. First, we estimated the clean speech signals from the estimated clean spectrograms with several values of K for one word. We then looked at the spectrograms of the estimated clean speech signals. Ideally, these two spectrograms (the estimated clean speech spectrogram and the spectrogram of the estimated clean speech) should be the same. We found that the spectrogram of the estimated clean speech signal with K=20 iterations looked closest to the estimated clean spectrogram. Next, we chose a column for which the estimated clean spectrogram and the spectrogram of the estimated clean speech signal visually differed.

Strontium cerium oxide Sr2CeO4 doped Sm3+phosphor was synthesized by solid state reaction method at temperature 12000 C for 4h. The powder samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectra, Fourier Transform infrared spectra (FTIR), Scanning Electron microscope (ESM), Energy dispersive spectra (EDS), and photoluminescence. The X-Ray diffraction pattern reveals the crystallite size and the structure is orthorhombic. Photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra of Sr2CeO4: xSm3+ (0.5 ≤ x ≤1.5) are recorded at room temperature. The color co-ordinates for the Sr2CeO4: 1.0 mol % Sm3+ were x =0 .6687 and y = 0.3311.This phosphor has a good potential for applications in display devices

Nosratabad area is located between Lut block and satellite images in this study show that this area has a complex tectonic history. The deformational event in this area has occurred from upper cretaceous until Quaternary. Tectonic evolution of this area has happened in four stages. The first tectonic evolution (T.E.1) has occurred in lower Eocene and prior to; T.E.1 is a subduction process that has occurred in the north margin of Neotethys Ocean. The second tectonic event (T.E.2) has occurred in upper Eocene to Oligocene, T.E.2 is a syncollision process. This collision has occurred between Lut block and east basin of Iran. During of this event some tectonistratigraphic unit has been added to Lut block and thrusting has occurred in this area. This stage is synchronic with closing of east basin of Iran. The third tectonic event (T.E.3) has occurred in the Oligocene to Miocene, it is related to completing of collision event, during of this stage structural unit that had been formed in this area, has added to the Lut block, this event is synchronic with third deformation event. the last event ( T.E.4) has occurred in the Pliocene to Quaternary this stage include post collision event, at first in the Pliocene a transpression basin has been formed and Pliocene sediment has been folded at this time. Then a Trans tension basin has been formed in the Quaternary and the evidence of this event include: Kahurak fault activity and reactivity of Nosratabad fault, also alluvial sediment of Quaternary has been deposited at this time in the study area.

Manganese Oxide thin films were prepared by pyrolytic decomposition of manganese acetate as a precursor solution onto the glass substrates. MnO2 thin films were deposited at three different temperatures namely 200, 250, 3000C. As deposited films were amorphous and porous having 200-300 nm thickness. The thin films were subsequently annealed at 5000C in the air for 2 hours. Structural, optical and electrical properties of MnO2 have been studied. Polycrystalline thin films with a cubic structure as evidenced from X-ray diffraction pattern.The electrical properties have been studied by means of electrical resistivity and thermo-electric (TEP) power measurements. The electrical resistivity studies were carried out using two-probe method. The TEP studies show that the films exhibits n-type conductivity. The optical absorption data were used to determine the (indirect ) band gap energy and is found to increase with increase in temperature.

This paper analyses the propagation of converging cylindrical detonation waves in an ideal gas with varying initial density and varying azimuthal magnetic field. The Chester-Chisnell-Whitham (CCW) method was employed to determine the detonation front velocity and the other flow-variables just behind the shock in the case when (i) the gas is weakly ionized before and behind the detonation front, (ii) the gas is strongly ionized before and behind the detonation front and (iii) non-ionized (or weakly ionized)gas undergoes intense ionization as a result of the passage of the detonation front. It is investigated that in case (i) an increase in the value of the strength of initial magnetic field (M−2cj)shows almost negligible effect on the convergence of the detonation front and the pressure behind it, while an increase in the value of ratio of specific heats of the gas (γ), increases the velocity of detonation front and the pressure behind it near the axis. A decrease in the value of index for variable density α, accelerates theconvergence of front and increases pressure behind it. In the case (ii) on increasing (M−2cj), when α=0, the front velocity near the axis and the pressure behind it decrease. A decrease in the value of α increases the velocity of the detonation front and the pressure behind it. An increase in the value of γ in non-magnetic case, rapidly increases the velocity of detonation front and the pressure behind it.In the case (iii), the variation of M−2cjand α, show similar behaviour as in case (ii), but an increase in the value of γ rapidly increases the pressure behind the detonation front.
