Reliability is the main indicator of the quality of special purpose equipment/systems, which are in their service life exposed to extreme operating modes and environmental conditions. Reliability of electronic equipment/systems is difficult to determine analytically, specially for repairabile systems with a large number of elements because of a large number of possible system states, which requires setting up and solving a system of a large number of equations. Therefore, simulation methods are applied to determine the reliability of electronic equipment/systems. This paper examines the accuracy of the point estimate of reliability calculated by the Monte Carlo simulation method depending on the sample size n, and the number of iterations (repetitions of calculation), Np.

The development of technology has changed the world economy and induced new political trends. The European Union (EU) and many non-EU member states apply the strategies of information society development that raise the level of information security (IS). The Serbian Government (Government) has adopted the Strategy for Information Society in Serbia by 2020 (Strategy), and pointed to the challenges for the development of a modern Serbian information society. This paper presents an overview of the open-ended questions about IS, critical infrastructures and protection of critical infrastructures. Based on publicly available data, some critical national infrastructures are listed. As a possible solution to the problem of IS, the Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)-based Information security integrated information system (ISIIS) is presented. The ISIIS provides modularity and interoperability of critical infrastructures both in Serbia and neighboring countries.

Modern radio-relay equipment introduced in the communications system of the Serbian Army is required to have maximum effectiveness, availability and readiness. A contribution to these requirements is a new approach and a realization method: technology of maintaining radio-relay devices using the method of technical diagnostics. Technical diagnostics is a scientific and technical discipline that recognizes the technical condition of proper functioning and can efficiently be used for maintaining purposes. The paper shows the application of the method of technical diagnostics through the application of measurements with an A group test station which allows an automated acquisition of all relevant data on the technical condition of a device. Based on measurement results, the maintenance of radio-relay equipment is further carried out.

Introduction: An adequate logistics information system provides real time automated data processing, distribution and of information according to Terrain Commander's requirements, which leads to timely fulfillment of logistic demands of units. SAP ERP The SAP ERP application is the integrated (ERP) software capable of working with complex organisational structures, personnel, equipment, and finance. It enables planning and combining forces for every type of operations. The system also enables the determination of the readiness status of modelled forces. ISL The Information System for Logistics (ISL) is a comprehensive information system of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the Army of the Czech Republic that covers many areas: acquisition, supply, ammunition and equipment maintenance, logistics, etc. The ISL provides support for military logistics in all important areas of consumer and acquisition logistics, satisfaying all kinds of Defence Forces needs in the country and abroad. LOGFAS The information system LOGFAS comprises Logistics Database (LOGBASE), Movement and Transportation software (M&T), Allied Command Europe Resource Optimisation Software System (ACROSS) and Logistic Reporting System (LOGREP). The Logistics Database LOGBASE represents a logistics information source and also a database related to assets, forces, geography, infrastructure, targets, supplies, movements and medical data. The main software tools which rely on the LOGBASE are M&T, ACROSS and LOGREP. GCSS-Army The original impetus to create the SALE came in the mid-90s when the United States Department of Defense (DoD) started a logistics modernisation programme. One of tasks was to build The Single Army Logistics Enterprise (SALE) for the purpose of covering the whole organisational structure of the DoD. There are three components of the SALE: GCSS-Army, PLM+ and LMP. Each of them uses the commercial Enterprise Resource Planning SAP Software with a Web access. The main component, GCSS-Army (Global Combat Support System-Army Field/Tactical), is intended for the tactical level and it will replace 14 tactical logistics information systems and connect them with the rest of the information environment. Tendencies in the development of logistics information systems In line with the presented information solutions, it is possible to extract relevant conclusions about tendencies in the development of these types of systems all around the world. These conclusions should be implemented, through adequate principles, into domestic software development. Three main tendencies are visible in modern solutions: using centralised databases, integration of existing separated software solutions, and connecting previously autonomus systems. Conclusion In accordance with present time requirements, logistic support should be realised as close as possible to the origin of a logistic need, in real time and adequately. Information systems enable real time delivery of information needed for a quality logistic support in all phases of operations as well as for a faster generation of all types of documents.

The purpose of this work is to show how to affect the most important factor of traffic safety - an individual, by using some technical solutions of satellite tracking of vehicles. By using units of the Land Forces as an example, a brief analysis of traffic safety for vehicles less than 5 years old has been performed. It is noticed that the number of traffic accidents with these vehicles involved has increased, so we tried to use one software package commercially available in order to show all advantages and disadvantages which could be noticed during this kind of vehicle tracking. The conclusion is that preventive vehicle tracking can improve traffic safety, but that a techno-economic analysis has to be done as well, in order to create all the necessary conditions for the introduction of this system in the units of the Serbian Armed Forces.

From the state security aspect, the state airspace is a very sensitive part, since the state security can be easily compromised from it, both in wartime and peacetime conditions. In order to achieve the functions of security and protection of the airspace integrity and sovereignty, it is important to control it continuously. The airspace control in peace becomes increasingly important because of the world coping with a complex security situation. Regardless of the noticeable trends where 'traditional enemies' have disappeared, the world is today faced with new challenges, risks and threats of the asymmetric nature. The control of airspace in war is one of the main prerequisites for achieving supremacy in the air, which enables the smooth execution of all combat operations in their own land and air forces, while preventing the hostile reconnaissance operations and air force from the airspace.

The editorial board of the Military Technical Courier withdraws the article by the authors Dragan S. Pamucar and Boban D. Djorovic entitled DEA model for measuring the quality control of public transport networks, which was published in the Military Technical courier, Vol. 60, No. 2/2012, pp. 28-47. The article is being retracted because of the fact that the same article entitled Application of mathematical programming techniques for measuring the efficiency of companies in the manufacturing and service sector has been accepted for publication and published in the journal Metalurgia internacional, Vol. 17, No. 5, pp. 113-120. The authors submitted the manuscript for publication in both journals at the same time. Both authors agreed that the their article should be withdrawn from publication.
