Jwara is considered as prime importance among all the diseases. Jwara itself is not only a disease but it is also a main symptom present in various diseases. Jwara is considered as first originated from ferocious wrath of Rudra (Lord Shiva) as described in Charaka Samhita. Ayurveda holds that Jwara is not nearly the increase in body temperature but also a feeling of Malaise, Unease and Discomfort and involves the Deha, Indriya and Mana. In Jwara dosas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) alone or in combination with each other spreads through Rasa dhatu dislodge the Jatharagni from its normal place and it results in increase of whole body temperature. Ayurveda belongs to apply an holistic approach to treat any disease with Aahara-Vihara and Ausdha. In this article importance of Diet in Jwara Chikitsha according to its stages like Aamaj and Niraamaj is described along with properties of various food materials which are given during these stages.

Obesity is a complex, chronic disease with several causes that lead to excessive body fat and sometimes, poor health body fat itself is not a disease, of course. But when your body has too much extra fat, it can change the way it functions. These changes can worsen over time, and they can lead to adverse health effects. Ayurveda has described obesity as Sthoulya and Acharya Charaka, Shusruta and Vaghbhata have described the causes, symptoms and treatment in dedicated chapter. They have described the root cause of sthoulya as improper eating habits, lack of exercise and physical work i.e apthyakar ahara vihara. Along with its symptoms and treatment they have also mentioned different ahariya dravyas to be given to the patient of sthoulya as it is closely related to digestive system. This article discusses about the details of obesity described in various texts of ayurveda. In this article different shamana aushadhis along with its shodhana treatment has been given to the patient and relief in sign and symptoms along with its pre and post assessment like weight and BMI has been discussed and result obtained is given. hence it is proved that ayurvedic treatment can be effectively used in the management of obesity.

Eosinophilic inflammation is one of the hallmarks of allergic disease, and accumulation of eosinophils in affected tissues is a feature of diseases such as allergic rhinitis, asthma etc. Pulmonary Eosinophilia (PE) is pulmonary infiltration with increased eosinophilic count in peripheral blood. Environmental pollutants are shown to have alarming consequences for human health and they have important effects related to environmental pollution and the origin of hypersensitivity and pollen allergy. Vataja Kasa (~cough caused by Vata dosha) which is stated to be caused due to Dhumopaghata (~affected by Smoke), Rajah sevana (~inhalation of dust, pollen) can be understood as Pulmonary eosinophilia to diagnose and manage the disease effectively in a clinical setup. Hence, there is a need to understand etiology, clinical features, diagnosis and management of Vataja Kasa in relation to PE. Dry paroxysmal cough, myalgia, chest pain, flanks pain etc are the main clinical features of Vataja Kasa. Investigations, history taking, clinical features are necessary to establish the diagnosis. Interventions used for PE are anthhelminthics, anti-inflammatory and corticosteroids which have adverse effects and reoccurs if medicines are discontinued. Here Ayurveda (~science of life) have a role in treating PE with Krimigna (~medicine which kills worms), Shodhana (~detoxification therapy), Kasashwasahara (~therapy which alleviates respiratory disease) drugs and rasayana chikitsa (~rejuvenation therapy).

Background: Gridhrasi is one among the 80 types of Naanatmaja Vatavyadhi. Lakshanas of Gridhrasi are Stambha, Ruk, Toda in Sphik, Kati, Prushtha, Uru, Jaanu, Jangha, Paada i.e. radiating pain from hip or gluteal region to either to thigh, knee, calf or till to the region of foot. The Lakshanas mentioned in Gridhrasi are similar to as that of Sciatica. Sciatica is a crippling disease, in which the patient experiences shooting pain and paraesthesia along the course of the sciatic nerve roots which are involved. This clinical study has been opted, to find out the therapeutic efficacy of Meshashringadi Kashaya in comparison with the efficacy of Sahacharadi Kashaya in case of Gridhrasi, as per the references available in ayurvedic classical literatures. Materials and Methods: A randomised controlled clinical study was conducted among 60 subjects, they were randomly allocated into two equal groups, Group A and Group B. Group A subjects received Meshashringadi Kashaya and Group B subjects received Sahacharadi Kashaya. The effect of these interventions were assessed through the grading scales of Subjective and Objective parameters. Result: The statistical analysis within the group has shown a highly statistical significant results with P<0.001 for all parameters in both the groups, i.e. in Group A and in Group B. On statistical comparison between the two groups, it was found that there is no statistical significant difference between the therapeutic effect of Meshashringadi Kashaya and Sahacharadi Kashaya in case of Gridhrasi.

A 37-yr old female patient having symptoms of pain in and restriction of movements of right arm visited OPD of Kayachikitsa dept. at Govt. Akhandanand Ayurveda college & hospital, Ahmedabad on 1 march 2022 (opd no. 5341) for the treatment. Patient was having history of non-union of fracture even after surgical interventions (twice) in last one year. she was further advised for surgery for the same. Patient was in very apprehensive condition. Patient was advised ayurvedic treatment after complete clinical assessment. Patient got relief in her complaints clinically as well as proper union of fracture was achieved (x-ray/radiological assessment) following classical line of treatment mentioned under Bhagna chikitsa in Ayurveda classics.

Menopause is a unique phenomenon, also known as “the change of woman life”. It is the ending phase of a woman’s monthly menstrual period and ovulation which is defined as a time of cessation of ovarian function resulting in permanent amenorrhea i.e., cessation of menstruation for 6 months to 1 year at approximate age of 45 years or above. Due to a decline in the amount of the oestrogen and progesterone hormone which are produced by her body causes several changes physically and mentally both. In Ayurveda, there is no specific description for menopause but the word Rajonivrutti is mentioned at 50 years. The depletion of Ovarian follicles in menopause leading to decrease in ovarian hormones results in manifestation of aging process in women, hot flushes, sweating, mood changes, irritation, lack of concentration, loss of libido, forgetfulness, osteoporosis etc. In Allopathic science this condition is treated by oestrogen, either alone or in combination with progestins (HRT) but in Ayurveda, physiological system based on balance of “vata”,“pitta” and “kapha”. Rajonivrutti is predominant by vata so, there is a significant tendency to develop more degenerative changes. So, Rasayana therapy described by Acharyas which promotes longevity is very helpful in alleviating the vata and associated symptoms along with Panchakarma therapies like shirodhara, shiropichu, nasaya play a very important role in stress management, improvement in quality of life. A detailed description of menopause is elaborated in the paper highlighting the role of Ayurveda in abating the symptoms of menopause with a case study on successful Ayurvedic management of menopausal syndrome.

As per demography study population is not static but is always in a dynamic state because of deaths, births, and migration factors. The total world population is estimated to be 8 billion in November 2022. It is now increasing at a much faster rate of 1 billion per year. India’s population has reached 1.1417 billion 2022. India would be the world’s most populous country exceeding that of China. The rapid increase of population has got an adverse effect on the national economy. The aim of family welfare planning is to bring down population growth, so as to ensure a better standard of living and improve health, education and economic opportunities. Contraception is the act of preventing conception. This can be a devices, medication, procedures or behaviors for male and female both. Various side effects have been observed with modern contraceptive methods so for that we need to find out alternative option to overcome modern contraceptives side effects. In Ayurvedaacharyas mentioned various methods like local and oral medicinal yoga as a Grabhanirodhak. For the exposes of clinical evidences of Ayurvedic Contraception to gather Ayurvedic research and texual references on GarbhanirodhakDravya and methods, which would be proving that Ayurvedic Contraceptives methods also have better and safe result.

Health is defined as an equilibrium state of dosha, dhatu, mala, agni, indriyas and manas. Disturbed state of these factors leads to disease. Harmony in family depends on health of women, certain diseases may not be life threatening but disturbs in daily activities, which adversely affects her family. Kshetraja vyadhis affecting female mainly comes under Yonivyapads, Karnini yonivyapad is one among them. Women of fertile age group with self-defense mechanism in genital tract prevents ascending infections. But due to Mithya ahara-vihara, and specifically straining during labor in absence of true labor pains, vitiation of dosha- dathus develops Karnika like growth on Garbhasaya dvaramukha and produces sthanika kapha dusti lakshanas like Picchila srava, kandu, sheetalatwam, alpa vedana which ditoriates physical, psychological and social wellbeing of women. In present days 80% of reproductive age group of females are suffering with this current problem. Based on clinical presentation karnini yonivyapad can be correlated with cervical erosion. The present work is an attempt to study efficacy of Pushyanuga churna orally and Kanadi varti (Shodhana dravya varti) locally, this combination of treatment given maximum relief to the patients within 3months of follow up

BACKGROUND: Analgesics are agents which selectively relieve pain by acting in the CNS and peripheral pain mediators without changing consciousness. NSAIDs are most commonly used to control pain. But due to their adverse effects, there uses are limited. Many herbal or herbo-mineral preparations are commonly used for the treatment of pain in alternative medicine. Chirabilvadi Yoga, a combination of four classical Ayurvedic dried herbs i.e. leaves of Chirabilva (Holoptelia integrifolia), bark of Arjuna (Terminalia arjuna), leaves of Jyotishmati (Celastrus paniculatus) and leaves of Kakanasa (Pentatropis capensis) in powder form is used in this study to evaluate and compared the analgesic activity profile of this Yoga before and after trituration with juice of Chirabilva leaves . METHODS: Charles Foster albino rats (200 ± 20 g) of either sex divided in to four groups, six in each were used to evaluate the analgesic effect by using Formaline induced hind paw licking and Eddi’s hot plate methods. Solution of Chirabilvadi Yoga and Bhavita Chirabilvadi Yoga were made with deionized water freshly with the dose of 900 mg /kg body weightorally. RESULTS:A decrease in the number of paw licking response were seen in the second phase (10-20) of formalin induced paw licking response in both the test drugs groups, which indicates the presence of mild analgesic activity in the drug mediated through modulation of neuropeptides. In eddy’s hot plate method test rug Bhavita Chirabilvadi Yoga shows non-significant decrease at 120,180 and 240 min as compare to initial and control group. CONCLUSION: This study suggested that Chirabilvadi Yoga and Bhavita Chirabilvadi Yoga possessed mild and similar analgesic activity. Hence, it can be used in the management of mild pain conditions.

Introduction: Vidarikanda is tuber which grows throughout the year and is widely used as medicine and nutritional supplement. It performs many Karmas and Brimhana is one most important amongst them. All procedures and treatment which nourish, build and strengthen body is called Briṃhana. Materials and Methods: Almost all the Acharyas described the Brimhana Karma of Vidarikanda. Its properties like Guna, Rasa, and Veerya make it able to perform Brimhana karma. There is uniformity in opinion about Brimhana karma of Vidarikanda in ayurvedic texts. Discussion: According to modern science its capacity to nourish, build and strengthen body is due to nutritious components present in it like Carbohydrates, Mono Saccharides, Poly Saccharides, Hexose Sugars, Steroids, Alkaloids, Anthraquinone glycosides, Saponin, Flavonoids. Some other chemicals present in Vidarikanda gives it therapeutic importance. Conclusion: Hence according to Ayurveda as well as modern science Vidarikanda shows Brimhana effect.

Skin disorders are a very common problem nowadays. According to Ayurveda, Imbalance of tridosha and dhatus leads to skin diseases. The properties of rakta shodana, rakta shamana, vishaghna, krimighna, kandughna etc are required in the treatment of the skin diseases. Drugs are significant to use in the treatment of skin disorders which have pharmacological properties like antiviral, antifungal and antibacterial etc. Kusthaghna Mahakashaya are given in the Charak Samhita of Ayurvedic textbooks. The information about ten drugs in Kusthaghna Mahakashaya are collected from Ayurvedic texts such as Bhavaprakash Samhita, Nighantu aadarsh, Raj Nighantu etc., modern medicinal plant’s books, research articles, other published / unpublished resources, electronic data like Google scholar, PubMed, Web of Science, Science direct etc. In this article, the various useful properties of ten drugs of Kushthaghna Mahakashaya has been discussed in a brief.

People around the world consume a variety of green leafy vegetables. A number of recipes can be made from it depending on its seasonal availability. They are with a sour, sweet or bitter taste. Thus, they taste good in a variety of combinations. The ten green leafy vegetables (Pattila) that are primarily consumed by Keralites during Karkidaka month are described here. The month of Karkidaka starts on July 17 ends on August 16. It comes under the Varsha Ritu. As per Ayurveda a person’s Bala (Strength) and Agni (digestive power) will be very low during this period. Therefore, Kerala residents adopt specific regimens and dietary patterns throughout this season in order to improve Bala,Agni and combat numerous ailments of the rainy season. Some of them are Pattila Thoran, Karkidakakanji and Karkidaka Cikitsa. Pattila is the combination of ten leaves that are commonly available and used by people in different areas of Kerala. Vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients are abundant in green leafy vegetables. This will keep the person healthy and aid to prevent several ailments. It is because of the presence of certain chemical constituents found in plant leaves. Lack of knowledge on the nutritive value of green leafy vegetables among the public is the main drawback in their lower consumption. This article attempts to explain the significance of ten leaves among green leafy vegetables.

Quality evaluation of ayurvedic drugs is a significant tool in the preparation of high quality AYUSH/Herbal drugs. The present work seeks to enlighten the stakeholders in AYUSH products on necessitate to ascertain the quality consideration with the help of higher analytical tools and well defined standardization methods. In this article a study has been made to fix the parameters including Macroscopic analysis, Microscopic analysis, Quantitative analysis, Qualitative analysis, Limit Tests, Microbial Limit Tests, Pesticide Residue, Test for Aflatoxins etc and Biological evaluation (Pharmacological evaluation, Toxicological studies in order to ensure the use of only genuine ayurvedic remedies. The obtained values/ranges can be used as standards for quality control of the AYUSH/Herbal products.

Ayurvedic preventive and therapeutic concepts depend on keeping Agni strong and preservation of harmony between Jatharagni (Internal digestive fire) and Kostha (excretory system). Triphala which comprises three fruits powder in equal amounts, is the most well known Ayurvedic formulation. Haritaki (Terminalia chebula ), Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellirica) and Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) a very powerful Chakshushya Rasayana (visual function rejuvenator). Triphala Churna act across all three Doshas(body humours) i.e. effect of Haritaki- on Vata Dosha, Amalaki-takes control of Pitta Dosha and Vibhitaki- acts on Kapha Dosha. The role of Triphala Churna in treating ocular disorders given by Acharya Sushruta in Sutra Sthana. The anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory effect of Triphala Churna exhibit diverse beneficial properties in ocular disorders. Shushkakshipaka (Dry eye syndrome), is Vatapitta dominant ocular disorder in which the Ashru (Tears) has been depleted resulting in Paka (Inflammation) of eye. Present study has been undertaken with the aim to develop the physiochemical profile of Triphala Churna. Pharmaceutical analysis of Triphala Churna preparation was done according to API & protocol of drug testing of PLIM Material and Method: Triphala Churna was assessed for Physical characterization, physicochemical study, Microbiological Analysis and heavy metals analysis. Result and Discussion: Triphala Churna is safe for use as heavy metals were below the acceptable limit and free from any pathogenic microbes. Conclusion: The Sushruta Samhita method was used to prepare Triphala Churna. This paper presents the analytical study of Triphala Churna.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most prevalent chronic liver disease, present in 20 to 40 percent of the general population. In the US, NAFLD is 3-5 times more prevalent in men than in women. The prevalence of NAFLD in india is 9-32%15. In this case, grade 1 fatty liver is reported. A male patient came with a complaint of aruchi, avipaka, udara shoola, anaha and incomplete evacuation to the Rishikul ayurvedic medical college, Haridwar. Haematological examinations altered in SGOT, SGPT, alkaline phosphatase, bilirubin and USG abdomen. Ayurvedic treatment was given to patient for 2 months. After two months, haemotological tests and USG results return to normal. The objective of the current case study is to assess changes in a patient's subjective and objective metrics that showed signs of NAFLD. Rohitakadi vati is a formulation mentioned in Bhaishajya ratnavali. Thus, the drug Rohitakadi vati is an effective vati to treat NAFLD.

Computer Vision Syndrome arises now days due to long time and improper working on computer. Computer Vision Syndrome has symptoms like Headache, Dryness of Eyes, Eye Fatigue, Redness, Burning in the Eyes and Itching in Eyes. In Ayurveda Shushkakshipaka have these symptoms same as Computer Vision Syndrome. The main aim of our study is to manage these diseases with Ayurveda which will cure the disease from its root cause without any side effects. So, the effort has been made using Trataka a Yoga kriya and Goghrit Aschotana in the management of Computer Vision Syndrome. A male patient of Age 42 years with history of Computer Vision Syndrome from last one year. The Patient have all classical symptoms like Headache, Dryness of Eyes, Eye Fatigue, Redness, Burning in the Eyes and Itching in Eyes comes at O.P.D of Govt. Ayurvedic Hospital Model Gram Ludhiana. The testing of dryness of both eyes was done with Schirmers Test and found R.E has 8mm wetting in 5 min and L.E has 9 mm wetting in 5 min. Patient was using Tear plus eye drops and also taking antihistamine drugs daily from last nine months. So, this case of Computer Vision Syndrome is treated with Trataka a Yogic Kriya daily in the early morning followed by Aschotana of Goghrita for four weeks. It was observed patient got good relief in the all symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome.

Eyes are contemplated as key sense, as the world is visible to us because we are blessed with eyesight.Importance of vision has been described in our classics by stating Drishti Pradhantamavata.Timira is one of the Drishtigata Rogas specified by Ayurveda Acharyas which presents with blurred vision initially and if left untreated may lead to complete loss of vision.Shreshthadi Kwath Vati is a modified form of traditional Ayurvedic herbal formulation. Shreshthadi Kwath mentioned in Yoga Chintamani.The formulation is believed to cure ocular disease such as Naktyandha,Timra,Kacha and Patala Rogas.To overcome the problems of palatability,feasibility,shelf life with Kwath form of drug,effort is made to modify it into Vati form i.e. Shreshthadi Kwath Vati.This paper is made to standardize the formulation through pharmacognostical and pharmaceuticals measures.Pharmaceuticals analysis of Vati preparation was done according to API and protocol of drug testing of PLIM.The formulation is safe for use,as heavy metals were below acceptable limit and free from any pathogenic microbes.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease widely prevalent throughout the world. It is one of the most crippling diseases in which joint pain and swelling are cardinal features. The disease strikes women three times more often than men. In Ayurveda, it is co-related with the Aamvata in which vitiated vata and Ama plays a major role. Symptoms like joint stiffness and swelling affect the daily life of a patient and make him feel handicapped. A 51-year-old female patient presented with severe joint pain, swelling & restricted movements; was treated with Arogyaved’s herbal formulations & bone joint detoxification therapies. After 3 months of treatment pain subsided and satisfactory improvement was found in swelling & restricted movements. Detoxification in the form of basti regimen & external therapies is surely a result-oriented therapy in the management of rheumatoid arthritis. We are glad to share the excellent results in treating the RA case.

Trinakantamani (Kaharuba, Kaherva, Kerbo) is incorporated in Ayurveda from Unani system of medicine in 19th century. Trinakantamani Pishti is well-known formulation of Ayurveda used for Raktarsha, Raktapitta and Raktapradara. It is described in Bheshaja Samhita, Bhasma-Pishti Prakarana. In present study raw drugs were authenticated with Ayurvedic Pharmacopeia of India parameters. Bhavana Dravya used for Trinakantamani Pishti were S0hweta Aparajita Mula Kwatha, Jambiri Nimbu Swarasa, Ashwattha Tvak Swarasa and Shatavari Mula Swarasa. Color of Trinakantamani powder changed from dark yellow to light brown. Average liquid media used for Bhavana were 140, 113.33, 150 and 118 ml respectively. There is no any major changes found in all the batches of Trinakantmani Pishti. Standard manufacturing process was developed by preparing three different batches. Trinakantamani Pishti prepared by this method did not found any substantial difference in pharmaceutical procedure. Physico-chemical parameters for each batch did not show any major changes in all the parameters except in sulphated ash.

INTRODUCTION- The present case was diagnosed with kapha pradhana ekkushtha. The line of treatment followed was Samshodhana followed by Shamana chikitsa. Patient’s main concerns were the symptoms viz. severe itching, excessive scale formation, and skin lesions all over the body which had foul odour, stress that resulted in erectile dysfunction. Kapha pradhana ekkushtha was the primary diagnosis made. Virechana therapy followed by oral medication for roga shamana was the line of treatment followed. Based on their origin, Ayurvedic medicines are mainly described as Medicines prepared from plants and designed from metal and minerals. Medicines prepared from plants are made using plant parts, i.e., Root, Stem, Flower, Fruit, Bark, Seed, Leaf, etc. In Ayurveda, five types of Panchamoola are mentioned in Samhita. When the root of five plants is taken together to prepare a formulation in Ayurveda, it is called panchamoola. Dyslipidaemia is the most common disorder which is associated with cardio vascular diseases, CHD, atherosclerosis etc. WHO claims that about 2.6 million deaths are caused due to raised cholesterol level. Dyslipidaemia can be defined as disturbed lipid level in blood either more or in less amount. According to Ayurveda it cannot be correlated with a single disease or disorder but the condition associated with Rasadhatugata Ama, Medsavritta Vata, Medo-dhatwagnimandya, Abaddha Medo Vriddhi, Medo-roga or Medo-Dushti can be correlated accordingly. In this situation treatment which lowers the Kapha Dosha, digests the Ama, and possess the Deepana, Pachana properties will help in lowering the lipids in blood.

In present era, the complications related to lifestyle disorders like Obesity is the commonest thing to encounter in practice. Hence, even in Ayurvedic clinical practice there has been a surge in Sthool patients and the complications related to the same has increased evidently in recent times. However, to treat any disease there should be a thorough understanding of etiopathogenesis of the same, this can be well understood through Nidanpanchak of any ailment. The conceptual study about Sthaulya has been done earlier and also many treatment protocols have been established based on the above said. As the Sthool patients not only deal with the symptoms of it but also the impediments of it, therefore the complications and impediments have to be understood thoroughly. The Ashtadosha of Atisthula mentioned by Charaka explains the impediments of Sthaulya. In this study for Ayurvedic approach the parameters are explained through the ayurvedic concepts and assessed with the help of some modern science tools. Also, there are many associations developed between Obesity and dyslipidemia. Hence this study targets on assessment of Ashtadosha in Atisthula Purusha and correlation with the dyslipidemia in such patients.

Skin is the largest integumentary organ of our body, both in surface area and weight. Any disease affecting the skin can affect the beauty as well as the personality of a person. Mukhadooshika is a kshudraroga characterised by the formation of shalmalikantakavat-saruja-ghana-medogarbha pidaka. In contemporary science, Mukhadooshika can be correlated to Acne vulgaris, which is the chronic inflammation of the pilosebaceous units. There are different modalities of treatment prevailing in the contemporary science for the management of Acne vulgaris. But these options have their own limitations. Ayurveda provides many safe and effective methods of treatment for various skin problems. In the context of Mukhadooshika chikitsa, Acharyas explains both shodhana and shamana methods. Different types of lepa are mentioned in various texts and Lodhradi Lepa is one such combination. Lodhradi Lepa contains three ingredients: Lodhra,Vacha and Dhanyaka, in equal proportions. In the present case study, a female patient aged 23 years presented in our OPD with pimples on face associated with pain, itching and burning sensation since 7 years. Lodhradi Lepa application was done for the same and significant results were found. Assessment was done clinically and results were recorded with photographs.

Shalakya Tantra is one of the Ashtangas of Ayurveda which deals with diseases above the clavicle. Even though Sushruta Samhita is considered as the main text book of Shalakya Tantra, there are many other Ayurvedic granthas where we get references about Urdwajatrugata vikaras which are still not known to many. One such Samhita is Harita Samhita written by Acharya Harita based on the teachings of his preceptor Punarvasu Atreya. Out of 103 chapters 7 chapters are fully dedicated for Shalakya vyadhis and its treatment. Hence an attempt is made to explore the hidden knowledge and formulations of Shalakya Tantra from Harita Samhita for the scope of further study and to explore the view of Acharya Harita about urdwajatrugata vikaras to the Ayurvedic Scholars.

Menopause is certainly one of those innings where she goes through a period of transition both physiologically and psychologically. The age of menopause ranges from 45-55years, average being 50 years. It is during menopause that she suffers from vasomotor symptoms, urogenital symptoms, sexual dysfunction. Ayurveda describes Rajanivritti (menopause) as complete cessation of menstruation. Proper understanding of menopause is important in curing the menopausal symptoms as well as motivating her. Ayurveda enlightens about the importance of Ahara (nutritional food), Vihar (day to day activities) and counselling. Various management available in Ayurvedic classics including Upakarmas (gynecological procedures), medicinal preparations to cure menopausal symptoms works effectively.

Ayurveda describes various treatment of Sthaulya that includes both Shodhana and Shaman Auoshadha. Lekhana Basti is mentioned in Ayurvedic texts, for the management of Santarpanottha Vyadhi. Shodhana in the form of Basti karma is mentioned as unique treatment modality in Sthaulya specially with the drugs which are of ushna, tikshna, lekhana guna that help in combating Kapha and medodushti. The ideal shamana in the treatment of Sthaulya is usage of Vata, kaphahara, and Medohara properties. Trayushnadya Loha is mentioned in Yogaratnakara as Shaman Auoshadha. This article delves to an interesting case of a 40-yearold male presented with Daurgandhya, Ayaseswaskashtata, Anga Gaurava, Atikshudha, Atipipasa, Alpa Vyavaya, Chala Sphika, Chala Udara, Chala Stana, Utshah Hani/Alasya, Daurbalya (Alpa Vyayam), Nidradhikya, Anga Shaithilya for past 2 years. For the same he visited for Ayurvedic treatment at Dept. of Kayachikitsa, Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya, Puri, Orissa. He was diagnosed as a case of Sthaulya/ Obesity. As per Ayurvedic classics, this condition we have taken as Medoroga. Hence, the line of treatment we have adopted Shodhana which included Lekhana Basti along with Shaman Auoshadha as Trayushnadya Loha Vati. The outcome was very remarkable with the patient reduced his body weight and feeling better without any complication.

As far as pediatrics is concern the very first text related to this branch describes Ahara as Mahabhaisajya (i.e., most effective medicine) The wide range of Ahara classification in Ayurveda permits the concept of individualized diet plan as per the body constitution. Child's physical and mental health are permanently impacted by their food and lifestyle choices from an early age. To understand the concept of child nutrition, a review of the literature from ancient Ayurvedic texts, journals, and surveys was conducted. We then presented this paper with a wholesome strategy for child nutrition using Ayurvedic concepts. In recent years Global and Indian market of formula feed and baby food products is growing fast, In India alone it expected to grow at the rate of 9% till 2027. This rise is a major concern for Additives and formula feed associated illness like chronic inflammation, hormonal disbalances, Obesity, Diabetes and PCOS in pediatric age group. In Ayurveda children are divided into three categories i.e., Ksheerap, Ksheerannada, and Annad Awastha. In pediatrics, nutrition from womb to adolescent is unique and age dependent due to different nutritional requirement at different stage of life. This paper focuses on the same and related ayurveda concepts, ideal diet as per age.

Background - The main component of life that it depends on is aahara. The consumption of ekarasa aahara has increased significantly as a result of the considerable changes in eating patterns brought about by globalisation. This is the primary reason why so many illnesses have emerged in the society. Objectives - The current literary exploration intends to compile pertinent references on sarvarasas and build the idea of sarvarasabhyaaso balakaranaam. Materials & Methods - A thorough search of the Brihatrayis was conducted to gather references on sarvarasas, its impact on the bala of sharira, related ideas like saatmya & oja. To support these statements even further, references to databases, papers, and numerous additional text books were made. Citing such periodic references and making connections between them has improved comprehension of this idea for both theoretical and practical application. Observation and Discussion- After consulting numerous texts, using the Saamanya Vishesha Siddhanta, Tantrayuktis, and the concept of Guna, it is clear that sarvarasas have an impact on the dhatu poshana, oja formation, and ultimately the bala of sharira. Conclusion- This review article demonstrates the significance of sarvarasabhyasa in producing improved shaaririka bala, better comprehension, and use of this idea both in swastha & aatura by compilation & systematic arrangement of references.

Chickenpox is caused due to varicella-zoster virus. This virus spreads via air or by direct contact with the infected person. It generally affects children aged below 10 years but rarely occurs in adults. In Chickenpox there is appearance of itchy blisters all over the body area. Taking chickenpox vaccine once between 10 & 15 months and then in between 4 & 6 years is the best preventive measure for this disease. However, even vaccinated children might get diagnosed with a milder form of chickenpox. In Ayurveda, Chickenpox is called as "laghu masurika". It is a type of tridoshaj Vikar. For this in Ayurveda, Panchakarma therapies like vamana & external applications of various lepa's by using herbs like nimba are useful. In Ayurveda, herbs like Yashtimadhu, Guduchi, Haridra & Manjishtha are used as blood-purifying agents which is useful to clear the infection from the body. Isolate affected individual in a clean environment & use sterile clothes & objects in daily routine improves recovery of patient & prevents spread of chickenpox.

Fissure means a crack. It is a longitudinal crack in the long axis of the lower anal canal, but in reality, it is a true ulcer of the skin of the wall of the anal canal. Anal fissure may be acute or chronic. Chronic anal fissures, one of the most painful conditions, need surgical intervention in form of Fissurectomy 1 , which is considered to be the gold standard method of management of chronic fissures. For better outcomes these Fistulectomy wounds need care. In this study total 10 patients of fissurectomy were selected from OPD and Sarivadi gel use for dressing locally in each patient for 7 days daily. Patients were assessed on following parameters such as pain, burning sensation, Granulation, and discharge through wound. The significant improvement was observed in sign and symptom after treatment.

Food preservation is an ancient technique, where people would store food with natural additives, however, with advanced technology and changing environment conditions people shifted towards artificial methods. In India, Food Safety and Standard Authority lays down science-based standards for processed and packaged food, it also regulates their manufacture, storage, distribution, sale and import to ensure the availability of safe and wholesome food for human consumption. Packaged food refers to any dietary product kept inside a box, bag or container. These processed foods have a longer life because of addition of food preservatives. In addition to this, flavor enhancers contribute towards the satisfying taste of these products. To exemplify, chips, soft drinks, biscuits, jams and noodles are being used in our day-to-day lives. Concern regarding food additives has increased in past few decades. The long-term use of such food articles can deteriorate the mental and physical health of the individual. They also make us more vulnerable to non-communicable disease.

Ayurveda is a branch of life science that focuses on preserving bodily wellness as a whole. The body is divided into six divisions according to ayurveda, which is known as Shadanga Shareer. Four Shakha (extrimities), Madhya Shareer (trunk), and Shira (Head) constitute this Shadanga Shareer. Shira, who is a component of Trimarma (Vital Organ), is the Pradhan Indriya among all. Most memory issues, according to Ayurveda, are associated with the kapha dosha, which is known for its dense, thick, mushy, and sticky characteristics. The "film" of the brain's white matter, or Tarpaka, a subdosha of Kapha, serves as a storage medium for memories, experiences, and emotions. The brain and other nerve tissue are nourished and safeguarded by this unique tissue. The common symptoms of Kapha stagnation include heaviness and a dull mind. A blood that has an oily, thick consistency from having high triglycerides (or blood fat), which may result in a slow flow of blood through the blood-brain barrier, is an indication of high Kapha. Fasting is recommended by Ayurveda to strengthen the brain and neurological system, promote digestion, and rid the body of impurities. Energy is turned inward during a fast in an effort to purify and detoxify the body. For three to five days, one can follow a khichari fast, a filling dish made from split mung dal and white basmati rice. Our brain requires nutrition to remain healthy and function correctly, just like our body does. The brain consumes a lot of energy. To maintain concentration throughout the day, the body consumes about 20% of its daily caloric intake. Omega-3 fatty acids support brain cell growth and repair. There are many natural brain nutrients that we need to start including into our everyday diets right away.

Ignorance of healthy and nutritious diet, prolonged working hours, sedentary lifestyle and mental stress affects health to major extent. Amlapitta is one of the diseases caused by improper lifestyle, diet and excessive stress which affects the digestion of food thereby causing other gastrointestinal ailments. A detailed review of amlapitta along with measures to prevent and manage this disease is described here. Good sleep, nourishing diet, regular exercise, regular meditation and yoga, positive attitude enhance the quality of health and do not allow us to fall victim to faulty lifestyle.

Background: Since time immemorial, Indians have relied on the traditional and highly esteemed Ayurvedic medicines. Ayurveda emphasizes on maintaining and enhancing the health of healthy people while also offering a method for the treatment of ailments. Chikitsa is mainly based on 3 principles i.e. , Nidan parivarjana, Shodhana and Shamana. Agadtantra, a branch in Astanga Ayurveda that focuses specifically on diagnosing and treating acute, chronic, and cumulative toxicity, as well as identifying poisons and their effects. In these conditions, Agadas (antitoxic formulations) in Ayurveda, which comprises of combination of antitoxic herbs or herbo-mineral combinations, can be very helpful. The bulk of diseases in the modern world are brought by toxin build up in the body and harm enzymes, blocking the formation of haemoglobin, which accelerates ageing. Nirvishikarana (Detoxification) is hence necessary. Agadas with Vishaharatwa (Antitoxic) property detoxifies the body and are more effective and quicker in action than other formulations in treating general disorders due to their potent components. Aim: To analyse the use of Agada preparations in the current scenario. Material: The information on various Agadas was gathered from Samhitas and other traditional Ayurvedic texts. Analysis was done on different websites and reports to get information on Agadas and for their relevance in the present situation. Result: Agadas have a wide range of properties like anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory actions, etc, and are particularly adept at handling all situations of cumulative toxicity. Drug efficacy is increased when administered after Panchakarma because drug absorption occurs quickly in a detoxified body. Conclusion: Based on the properties and effects of Agada, we can estimate to what extent it would be beneficial in curing diseases with varied aetiologies . Panchakarma (Shodhana) has curative, preventative, and positive effects on the body. Therefore, combination of Agada with Panchakarma as a preventive measure, will finally help in successfully curing all ailments.
