  • The Journal Physical Culture and Sports of Guantanamo is a scientific-academic publication, arbitrated by the double blind pair method, attached to the Center for Scientific and Technical Research at the University of Guantanamo. It emerged in the year 2011, and as of January 2019 its frequency is continuous four-month, published in the months of January, May and September. Publishes texts in Spanish and English in the form of original articles and review articles. This journal provides immediate open access to its content, and its main recipients are researchers, university professors, sports coaches, pre-and post-graduate students; as well as other professionals who perform in physical education, recreation and sports sciences. The journal does not charge the authors any fee for presentation/submission of manuscripts or fees for publication. Its objective is to contribute to the progress of the world sports scientific community and especially in Latin America, from the publication of scientific articles. Its mission is to socialize the results of the scientific community, carried out in the thematic areas to which it gives coverage: sport, physical education, therapeutic and prophylactic physical culture, recreation, applied sciences and the formation of physical culture professional. In this way, the knowledge exchange is supported at the global level by allowing the research published in this magazine to be open to the public and reusable according to the terms of the Creative Commons License Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 Internacional (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). The work principle of the journal is based on the continuous improvement of the editorial processes.
