  • Revista Educação Especial, published by Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (UFSM), aims to disseminate unique papers on the Special Education field. The journal is quarterly published, it’s first two volumes per year are dedicated to continuous flow’s demand and the third one is organized as a Themed Dossier. The editorial committee has the right not to publish papers from the same author in interstices lower than two issues. Also, papers that were also sent to other, national or international, periodic journals, along with books or book chapters can be automatically rejected. This journal’s main language is Portuguese (Brazil) and its second language is Spanish. The target-group this journal seeks to reach is composed by students, teachers and researchers on the Special Education field, besides the general public interested in the field. Revista Educação Especial’s first issue was published in 1986 and it releases, approximately, 45 papers per year. Its online publishing started in 2000.
