  • IRRIGA was founded in 1995 by Prof. Emeritus Antonio Evaldo Klar and intended for the dissemination of scientific works developed in the Postgraduate Program in Irrigation and Drainage at the Faculty of Agronomic Sciences, Botucatu campus, of the State University “Júlio de Mesquita Filho”. It deals fundamentally with the use of water resources in irrigated agriculture, a theme that corresponds to more than 50% of the researches developed and works published in the area of ​​Agricultural Engineering. The coverage area of ​​IRRIGA - Brazilian Journal of Irrigation and Drainage, has a wide spectrum, involving themes such as: rational use of water in irrigation; sustainability of irrigated agriculture; irrigation engineering; agricultural drainage; control of the water table and the environment; chemigation; water reuse in agriculture; monitoring of agrometeorological parameters in irrigated areas; and geoprocessing applied to irrigation and drainage.
