Purpose – to define theoretical features and to substantiate components in the development of the regional labor market. Design/Method/Approach. The systems approach is applied in order to substantiate a conceptual scheme for the development of the regional labor market, as well as the method of logical reasoning ‒ when justifying the drivers of regional labor market development in accordance with the expectations of its subjects. The information basis was formed by monographs and scientific publications in line with the research subject. Findings. The expediency of introducing measures for the development of the labor market in Ukraine at its present stage of socio-economic and socio-political development is substantiated. The main subjects in the labor market are identified, which include employees, employers, and authorities. The factors in the development of the labor market were determined based on the differentiation of objectives by the labor market subjects. Substantiation of the characteristic features in the development of the labor market is given. A conceptual scheme for the development of the regional labor market was built, which takes into account the expectations and requirements of the subjects, barriers and problems on the way towards development, directions to meet the expectations and overcome barriers, as well as the indicators of the labor market development. Practical implications. Results of the study can be the basis for creation of policy to activate the processes of cluster formation in order to achieve the development trends of regional labor market and to accelerate meeting the expectations of its subjects, which would ensure a synergistic effect. Originality/Value. It is proposed to define the essence of the notion "development of regional labor market" so that in contrast to existing understanding, it would focus on justifying the directions to meet the expectations and requirements of the labor market subjects by means of overcoming existing and predicted barriers and challenges to achieve the indicators of development of the labor market. Research limitations/Future research. Research results are to be laid in the basis of diagnosing the regional labor markets in Ukraine based on the main factors of their development. Purpose. This conceptual paper takes the firms’ perspective about practical implications of the theory of the global commons. Global commons are the areas and resources defined as those being beyond national jurisdictions. Their governance, today, however, is still coordinated largely by national states. Design/Method/Approach. This paper introduces a firm's perspective based on the global commons approach. Findings. At present, companies deal with national governments concerning their emissions and, perhaps, the international emissions trading scheme. Theory argues about the need to shift the responsibility from the national to global governmental levels, i. e. the United Nations. Theoretical implications. Given the input orientation put forward by this approach, companies – except fossil fuel extractors – would not actually have to deal with any governmental or regulatory bodies but can focus their capabilities on what they are best at: serving the needs of their customers. Fossil fuel extracting companies, in order to sell these fossil fuels, will have to purchase the amount of emission rights before they sell the fuel into the economic cycle. This approach establishes an economic incentive for companies to employ technologies with low or zero fossil fuel consumption while making the transition path predictable. The underlying concept, therefore, can also be referred to as an immissions scheme (from Latin immissio, “to let in”). Originality/Value. Governing a global common through national structures is inappropriate and does not reflect the nature of the underlying resource. This paper proposes a solution to the problem of global climate change. Further research. Further research is needed to address the effect of this strategy on different industries, and how those are affected based on the degree to which they employ fossil fuels. Paper type – сonceptual.

Purpose. Research objective is to analyze the socialization of economy as a factor in solving global problems under modern conditions. Design/Method/Approach. General scientific methods are applied: systematization, comparison, generalization, analysis, and synthesis. Findings. Research results – modern global problems and challenges related to development were analyzed. A relationship between global problems and challenges and the types of countries of the world is elucidated. Key global problems for developing countries are identified. It is proposed to solve global problems by managing the potential of economy socialization. Theoretical implications. Theoretical significance of research is in the development of knowledge on the potential of socialization when solving global problems and challenges. Practical implications. Practical significance of research implies the possibility of application its results by global actors (international organizations, corporations, and individual states) in managing and resolving global problems. Originality/Value. Scientific novelty of research is in dividing the global problems by the types of countries in the world. A direction for the application of the economy socialization potential for solving global problems is defined. Further research. Prospects for further research include studying financial capabilities of socialization in solving global problems and challenges related to the modern development of countries in the world.
