SUBSTANTIVE ASPECTS OF BUILDING TEACHER PHILOLOGISTS’ LINGUISTIC-COUNTRY SPECIFIC STUDY COMPETENCE IN UKRAINIAN PEDAGOGICAL UNIVERSITIES

In the article the content aspects of the programs of the specific disciplines are examined: «The Modern-day Ukrainian Literary language», «The Literary Studies», «The Ukrainian Studies», «The Teacher philologist’s Ethno-linguistic Culture», «The Ethnography» in teacher philologist’s vocational training with a view to analyzing the potential to form the linguistic-country specific study competence.
The core of the notions «linguistic-country specific study» and «linguistic-country specific study competence» have been examined on the basis of the Ukrainian scientists’ writings.
In the process of the specific disciplines’ studying the future teacher of Ukrainian language and literature learns compulsory courses of linguistic, literary, folkloric, the Ukrainian Studies, ethnographic and other subjects. They give the teacher philologist necessary knowledge in linguistics, literature, cultural studies, history, ethnography, folkloristic, dialect studies, pedagogic and psychology.
The analysis of the educational curriculums’ substantive aspects served to confirm that the teacher philologists’ linguistic-country specific study competence occurs in the complex of interdisciplinary knowledge.
The formation of the teacher philologists’ linguistic-country specific study competence is going on partly, fragmentally throughout the educational process. The formation of such knowledge and skills will give the teacher philologists the opportunity in further professional activity to transfer their experience, cultural values to future generation. It will have an impact on creating and developing child’s national perspectives in educational process and extracurricular activity.
In the Faculties of Philology in specialty «Philology (Ukrainian language and literature)» the course «Linguistic-country specific study» is necessary. It will be studied by the students in order to form linguistic-country specific study competence. Since teacher philologist possessing native language transmits through it all spiritual and cultural values of our people. The perspective of further research will be working out of substantive modules in order to form future Ukrainian language and literature teachers’ linguistic-country specific study competence.
