The curricular internship is one of the most awaited moments for future teachers in the Licenciature courses. The internship as research with the development of collective projects is seen as an articulating axis in improving teacher training. The present work describes the experience lived through the disciplines of Compulsory Curricular Internship I and II in the Biological Sciences Degree at the Federal University of Goiás. Based on a research carried out in the field school, a Pedagogical Intervention Project was developed with a theoretical and methodological approach Freirean conception of education. During the diagnosis of the school it was possible to identify the problem existing between the school staff and the capuchin monkeys that inhabit the place, mainly due to the constant thefts practiced by the small primates. As a result, monkeys were seen only as a nuisance, leaving no space for students to understand the biological aspects of this animal, as well as the motivations that lead them to commit thefts and inhabit an anthropized environment. Structured in theoretical-practical workshops, the project sought to sensitize the school community to a more harmonious relationship with the nail monkeys present at school. The workshops that included varied aspects of monkeys and their relationship with humans. Diversified methodologies were included that pointed out how much proximity to the topic of study can contribute to develop students' interest, and at the same time address the contents of the school curriculum. There were several unforeseen events during the intervention that required a more dynamic posture from the interns in redoing the planning. Relationships with the rural school, the collective writing of an intervention project, biological studies, and the appropriation of Freire's ideas for classroom practice brought important reflections to the trainees' training path.

The teaching of Financial Mathematics in high school represents a great opportunity to use the subject of Mathematics in a less expository and with a more critical and reflective attitude of the students, in order to build useful knowledge for the exercise of their citizenship. In this work, the critical teaching proposal from the resolution of problems is complemented by the application of simple and compound interest knowledge to the understanding of Fixed and Variable Income applications, in addition to the practical demonstrations of the use of the Price and SAC amortization systems. Thus, based also on different references on the theme, one can realize that, in addition to acting as an instrument of contextualization for different everyday situations, Financial Mathematics can be a transforming tool through the students' experience in Mathematics. The research carried out is anchored in analysis of articles who report classes in which was adopted the Method Based Learning Problem Solving (ABRP), which can stimulate reasoning and students' intuition, and develop a lesson proposal that assimilates the reported strengths, to then submit this proposal for evaluation of Mathematics teachers. As a result, it was noticed that most of the teachers who participated in the evaluation approved the lesson suggested in this paper, but many of them found it difficult to implement the idea and to convince the students of the importance of the topic. As a conclusion, it was noted that the suggested classes should be adapted to the students' assessed abilities and to their interest in learning an extra content that requires more participation.

The difficulty with students’ reading worries teachers from all disciplines and all leves of Elementary School, and it doesn’t go unnoticed by Chemistry teachers, for such inconvenient affects directly in students’ comprehension in chemistry content just as well as in developing citizens that aim social transformation. Haiku in Chemistry discipline presents as a possibility of articulating disciplines taken as separated, looking for working the content synthesis with the students view, promoting writing in a light way, although, full of meanings that have been analyzed in this paper. There are different ways to promote reading and writing in a classroom, and with this paper it’s possible to observe that these two tools are fundamental to the process of teaching/learning, going from a contextualized Chemistry class and reaching poems that talk about Chemistry and awareness.

Due to their complexity and abstract nature, some biology themes become major learning obstacles and a challenge for teacher didactics. To facilitate the teaching and learning process, different resources can be used, for example, the use of didactic models. The aim of this study was to evaluate the interference mediated by the structured didactic sequence for the application of the two-dimensional DNA replication didactic model among high school students, through the analysis of mind maps. Information was collected from the educational processes incited in the students when interacting with the proposed model through a descriptive qualitative study. We highlight that this study presents a methodological data collection and analysis innovation through the use of mind maps. Students were interested, motivated and interacted significantly during all meetings and our results suggest a positive interference of the use of the proposed two-dimensional model for learning and consolidating the DNA replication theme. The maps measured after the use of the didactic model were multistructural, containing more illustrations and texts related to the theme, while also obtaining higher scores. It is concluded that the use of mind maps is a viable and complete instrument to evaluate the cognitive process of students during their learning construction, and we note that the proposed two-dimensional DNA replication didactic model confirms the feasibility and advantages of using active and playful activities in teaching/learning promotion by facilitating concrete visualization/handling to understand abstract structures and concepts related to different science areas.

This paper presents the results of a research whose objective is to analyze and discuss the previous contact and the knowledge about Astronomy of students from schools in Minas Gerais and to evaluate the learning outcomes from dome sessions with a mobile planetarium. The activities described here were developed as part of an extension project. This project aims to disseminate scientific content in astronomy. Two questionnaires were applied before and after the dome session. The results suggest that the extension activity performed was successful, with an accepting rate of over 98% and with more than 93% of participants correctly writing something they learned from it. Based on the results, we discuss the educational implications and propose new research possibilities in the area.

This study aims to analyze the indicators of Scientific Literacy evidenced in the productions of drawing and writing developed by students of the Science Club Prof. Dr. Cristovam W. P. Diniz, during an experimental investigative activity. The research is based on a qualitative approach, using Content Analysis for the interpretation of 31 productions. The space analyzed is considered a non-formal environment destined to the teaching, research and extension of didactic actions directed to Sciences and Mathematics. The applied experimental investigative activity was titled “Non-Pouring Water Problem” and explored the properties attached to the surface tension of the water. From the analysis of the records, we can understand how students construct and expose the scientific knowledge involved in the sequence of investigative teaching, exploring the proposed problem, the materials used, the organization and reasoning of ideas at each stage of the activity, as well as the explanations to everyday approximations of the phenomenon involved in the experiment. The indicators of Scientific Literacy evidenced were the serialization, organization and classification of information as well as the logic and proportional reasoning, justification, prediction and explanation. Thus, we understand that the two forms of language collaborate so that students are able to understand and discuss science in a conscious and reflective way, engaging them in the process of Scientific Literacy.

The student with disabilities or aluno público alvo da educação especial (PAEE), as any other student, have potentiality and capability to develop yourself. Consequently, they must have opportunities to learn the scientific content related to the Natural Sciences. Besides the organic disabilities, the social prejudice against people with disability seems to be the major obstacle to deal with. To tackle these problem teachers need to come up with alternative paths to adapt this content, but generally, they look at it as a huge challenge. The objective of this article is to report the perceptions of future teachers of Natural Sciences regard the teaching challenges of inclusive education. A qualitative research method is applied in this study, which has Vygotsky's conceptions of disability as a theoretical reference. The subjects of this research were 133 undergraduate students. Most of them the lack at most two years to graduate. They are students of Biological Sciences, Physics and Chemistry, from four Public Higher Education Institutions in the State of Goiás. We used semi-structured questionnaires to gather research data from 19 individuals who participated of this research. They answered all the open and closed questions. We group the data in structured units of meaning, and then we merge it in categories that emerged according to Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA). The results revealed that most graduates of the Biological Sciences, Physics and Chemistry courses perceive challenges to guarantee the learning of PAEE students. Furthermore, we note that they do not have any knowledge of the specificities of the students with disabilities and do not have a clue about how to adapt their scientific content to these students. It mean that their courses need to discuss more about inclusive education. We conclude that these science teacher's courses should include a specific subject about inclusive education. In other words, to improve their teach practice and consequently include their students with disabilities, the students need to know about the history of special education, legislation and the specificities of disabilities. With this background, future teachers will be more confident and able to observe the students' learning capacity.

This article composing a doctoral research by one of these authors’ developing and intend to identify the philosopher Gaston Bachelard’s ideas present in educational Theses and Dissertations published in Brazil between the years 2014 and 2018. It seeks to identify how the researchers understanding Bachelard’s theories in these works, in addition to checking the relevance of these ideas for Teaching in Mathematics and Science. The paper identifies the federative units in which these studies were developed, who are the searchs subjects and the teaching areas to which they refer. It also investigates how these ideas are employed by research in these areas of teaching. The analysis corpus consisted of 16 Theses and 49 Dissertations retrieved from the CAPES catalog of Theses and Dissertations, considering like a filters - Teaching in Mathematics and Science and Epistemological Obstacles, analyzed according to the principles of Bibliometry (HAYASHI et al. , 2008) and Discursive Textual Analysis (MORAES; GALIAZZI, 2007), characterizing the mixed methodological approach, that is, quali-quantitative. The investigated Theses and Dissertations were developed in the national territory, including teachers and students from different areas and levels of education. From the analysis of these texts, the emerging categories is The philosophical aspects in Bachelard's thought and The pedagogical aspects in Bachelard's thought, with emphasis on the thematic epistemological obstacles, error, applied rationalism, epistemological profile, general philosophy / epistemology and approximate knowledge. It was found that the Bachelard's ideas keep current and applicable to the scientific teaching-learning process, as well as corroborating and improving presently learning theories, reasons why the importance of deepening studies on the ideas of this philosopher in the brazilian courses teachers training.

This paper discusses the contributions of using chemistry comic strips in a teaching and learning sequence (TLS) to promote discursive interactions and student engagement. TLS was used in a workshop with 27 freshmen attending high school in a public educational institution. The written data and video-recorded classes were assessed through categories available in the literature. Such assessment focused on interaction patterns, kinds of questions asked by the students, and the degree of student engagement, considered essential elements to learning, according to a sociocultural perspective on education. The research is justified in view of the importance of investments in understanding the potential of didactical resources in science education, which promote social interactions in the classroom. The results indicate that comics used in TLS contributed to foster discussions on the proposed topic, “quality of water”, through which it was possible to verify the students’ engagement.
