Based on the arguments of Néstor García Canclini in Hybrid Cultures (1990) and "Recent News on Hybridization" (2000), and Juan Martín Prada in his postmodern appropriation (2001), this article deals with the work Apolinére enameled (from) Álvaro Barrios (1979-1980), by Colombian artist Álvaro Barrios Vásquez (Cartagena de Indias, October 27, 1945), version of the ready-made assisted Apolinére enameled that was realized by Marcel Duchamp between 1917 and 1918.
