Now a days large number of studies are going on to improve the performance of concrete with the help of innovative chemical admixtures and supplementary cementitious materials .These materials used are majority by- products or industrial waste from other processes. This paper presents results of experimental investigations on effect of addition of industrial by products as partial replacement of cement on the mechanical properties of concrete. In this research the Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC) has been replaced by industrial waste/by products (namely fly ash, micro silica, metakaolin) accordingly in the range of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% 20%, & 25% by weight. Concrete mixtures were prepared, tested and compared in terms of compressive strength to the conventional concrete. Experimental results showed that addition of supplementary cementitious materials increased strength of concrete up to certain percentages and then decreased. Use of metakaolin imparted highest strength compared to other two materials. This experimental study also compares the strength by adding replacement materials separately in varying proportions and also in combination to obtain three types of triple blend mix .Compressive strength obtained for the triple blend mixes are also compared.

In this paper, we describe the Data Mining and Association Rule Mining concepts. Data mining is classified as a knowledge discovery process that is specifically used to analyze data from the different mining principles and perspectives and combine it into a powerful tool that is used to pool this information to increase revenue in its totality and boost the general output of organizations. One such principal of the data mining concept is the Association Rule Mining, which finds the entire rule that exists in the database which will satisfy an amalgamation of some minimum support and minimum confidence constraints.Although the target of discovery isn’t pre-determined, this type of rule satisfies the Minsup(Minimum Support) and Minconf (Minimum confidence) controls which assumes every item in the data will behave in the same nature and will possess similar patterns in its frequencies in its data. Branching out further, the Minsupwill control the absolute minimum amount of data that it has to cover for the rule while the Minconf will regulate predictive analytics of the rule. However these might not be a real-time scenario as in most applications, the items will rarely appear in some instances and would appear in an infrequent pattern in others in the data. So if the Minsupis set to a very high state, those rare items that these are rules are involved in will not be found. This in turn will cause a combinatorial explosion as the frequent items will be caught entangled with each other in all possible ways and outcomes. We’re going to introduce a niche technique to absolve of this issue as this specific technique will allow the user to quantify multiple Minsupso that it may reflect the true natures of its items and their own variance of frequencies found in the database.

The purpose of this facility is to determine the impact strength and natural frequency of composite materials. A bullet with a spherical shape is used so that a maximum impact that the material can withstand is found instead of the bullet easily piercing through the material causing low impact and high damage which eventually fails the purpose of the test. The bullet is fired at different velocities by adjusting the pressure feed from the pressure tank which is used to trigger the bullet. The maximum impact load that the material can withstand and the corresponding vibration of the material is determined using a double bending beam load cell and accelerometer. Using infrared sensor the velocity of the bullet for the corresponding trigger pressure is determined. With these sensor data the impact load and natural frequency of the composite material is calculated and determined.

The study veered into the actual use of smartphones among college students of two colleges of the University of Perpetual Help-Calamba. The benefits of the actual use of smartphones like sending messages (SMS), calling, chatting, opening documents, checking e-mails, internet browsing and downloading informative files that have shrunk the globe and erased the borders of getting information and learning processes were measured according to parameters popularized by Lenhart, Maguth and others. Flurry Analytics by Simon Khalafon and Mary Meeker was used to determine the types of users. The study further looked into the difference on the perception of the benefits of usage between genders. Although Socializations in forms of Facebook, Twitter &Instagram are smartphone features often used by college students, Aid to Learning like using it as calculator, taking down notes and online search on urgent topic about the subject came very close. Entertainment, like listening to music and taking pictures were also very popular use of smartphones among students. However, despite that benefits of smartphone usage transcends genders, majority of the female respondents were considered super to addict users fifty-six percent (56%) and eleven percent (11%) higher tendency to be addicted than males.
