Classroom instruction became a popular topic due to its crucial role in teaching and learning activities. The teacher plays an essential role in providing quality classroom instruction. This study tries to explore the key predictors of instructional quality. This study was conducted on 283 teachers taken randomly. We used an online questionnaire to reach the research participants in east java, Indonesia. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was utilized to examine the relationship between the variables. The findings revealed that the teacher competencies, including cognitive and motivational aspects, positively affected instructional quality. This study also revealed that teachers' cognitive aspect is not the only predictor of instructional quality. The motivational aspect also plays a crucial role in predicting instructional quality. This study provides several insights for related stakeholders (such as teachers, policymakers, and universities) in making efforts or policies to improve teacher instructional quality.

The aim of the research was to determine the effect of an 8-week circuit training program on explosive strength and strength endurance in physical education classes intended for high school students. The research included 60 students of two second-grade high school classes. Both classes attended regular physical education classes, where, within the main part of the class, one class had a special program for developing strength through circuit training (circuit group), while the other one had no modifications to the regular physical education program (control group). The classes were randomly marked as circuit group (n = 28) and control group (n = 32). Five strength tests were used in the study: squat jump, countermovement jump, squats, push-ups, and sit-ups. The results showed that the 8-week strength development program organized as circuit training contributed to a significant improvement in strength. The results of all tests showed a significant effect of training on students’ strength. It has been determined that short-term circuit training in physical education classes is an effective way to develop students’ physical performance.

The article focuses on the relationship between the use of employee training and development and the competency-based approach. The objective of this article is to evaluate the use of the competency-based approach in employee training and development in organisations in the Czech Republic based on long-term research (n = 1,360) since the year 2013. The results showed that the competency-based approach in the management of organisations is utilized by only 21.8% of the organisations. An important finding is that 93.2% of organisations using the competency-based approach support employee training and development. The results confirmed that there is the relationship between the use of the competency-based approach and training and development in the organisation (p < 0.001, Cramer’s V = 0.178) and also between the use of the competency-based approach and evaluation of training and development efficiency in the organisation (p < 0.001, Cramer’s V = 0.299).

This study evaluated the success or failure of using Virtual Workspace (VW) in a project-based physics laboratory. This study uses a qualitative approach with 4E evaluation methods: educational effectiveness, ease of use, involvement, and environment. Data were collected through a questionnaire to evaluate the implementation and practical functions of the VW CCCW. In addition, data were also collected using interview techniques to find out how the perceptions of students and instructors or lecturers during project-based physics practicums apply VW CCCW. The sample of this study consisted of 126 respondents consisting of 104 prospective physics teacher students, 12 lecturers of basic physics courses, and ten laboratory instructors representing public and private teacher education universities in Aceh. The evaluation findings show that VW has been successfully implemented and tested. The use of virtual workspaces as a tool in practical work is very effective in training 4C skills. Therefore, as an implication in the 4.0 revolution era, virtual workspaces in practicum can be a new way to work collaboratively with task management, creative action plans, communication and problem solving, critical thinking and completing projects, and practicum performance evaluation and assessment.

Using a self-reporting measure, the study examined IBA-related beliefs of Czech preschool teachers (n = 1,004). In addition, it explored the beliefs of teachers who strongly agreed (n = 564) and those who strongly disagreed (n = 67) with the implementation of IBA in preschool classes. The findings show that teachers within the full sample, as well as those within the contrasting subsamples, hold considerably strong beliefs about the potential of IBA for children´s cognitive development. At the same time, teachers are aware of the challenges associated with implementing IBA. Teachers who strongly favour IBA have significantly stronger beliefs in the benefits that IBA bring to children and also have stronger beliefs about the knowledge and skills teachers need for IBA planning and implementation than has the group that strongly rejects IBA. In contrast, teachers who strongly reject IBA have stronger beliefs that IBA cause problems in preschool classes. The group of teachers who strongly favour IBA have higher levels of education and fewer years of practice than the contrasting group. They are mostly younger teachers who received a modern professional education and who are more open to newer instructional strategies such as IBA.

Reflective thinking is a must-have skill to connect the knowledge obtained with previous knowledge and can be seen from learning achievement. This study aims to prove and determine the relationship between reflective thinking and learning achievement and its effect size. This study used a quantitative meta-analysis method. Reflective thinking is the independent variable and learning achievement is the dependent variable. The data sources were obtained from online database searches on Google Scholar and international journal platforms from 2012 to 2021. Based on the search, 22 research publications met the predetermined criteria through a strict screening. Quantitative meta-analysis with correlation meta-analysis type was used to analyze the data. The software used was JASP 0.8 4.0. The results showed that this research Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there was a significant relationship between reflective thinking and student achievement (z = 8.139; p < 0.001; 95%CI [0.400; 0.654]). The effect of reflective thinking on student achievement was in the medium category (rRE = 0.527). The findings are consistent with those of previous research on reflective thinking skills and learning achievement.

Human resource development at universities is one of the crucial aspects that forms an innovative and growing society. Therefore, it is crucial to continuously manage and develop factors of quality evaluation process in all universities to develop also human resources for labor market. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to identify factors of education quality which impact students´ interest in attending lessons and courses. Data were collected by students’ questionnaire at case business university. Two dimensional statistical methods were used to evaluate the results. Totally, 1,607 students were questioned. The outputs show link towards students’ interest in lessons and courses based on the quality of human resource development. There were four factors determining quality of human development found: practically oriented lessons; open and discussing teachers; subject extent and difficulty; and newcomers. The limitations of this study may be seen in the collection of data based on self-reports of students only and may therefore be subject to common-method bias. To minimize this limitation, the survey was assuring students that there was no right or wrong answer and their contribution towards higher quality was highly appreciated.

The aim of this study was to discern the students' perception of social media networks integration into the educational process. The study was conducted in seven universities in the Northern region of Jordan. To achieve this goal, authors used the descriptive survey approach. A stratified random sample of 762 students from both genders and different disciplines were targeted. For data collection purposes, a survey tool was designed, which consisted of one polar question, one open question and a questionnaire consisting of fifteen 5-point Likert scale paragraphs. Results indicated that 82.41% of respondents showed constructive attitudes toward the integration of social media to the educational process and indicated their top preferred social media applications. Furthermore, the findings revealed that there was a significant relationship between use behaviour and behavioural intentions, as well as a significant relationship between use behaviour and facilitating conditions. Finally, the results showed no significant statistical difference at α = 0.05 between the respondents’ statistical means pertaining to students' gender or field of study.

The present work aims to explore the knowledge that the students of the Master’s Degree in Teaching at the University of La Laguna have about the functions of educational guidance and their role as teachers and tutors. To this end, this paper presents a review of the role of educational guidance in a Secondary Education center and the role of the tutor. Teachers’ perception of the educational guidance and tutorial function, its importance and difficulties, and the evolution of initial training until reaching the current Master's degree is also presented. In addition, a mixed methodology is used, focused on a documentary analysis of the Title Verification and the teaching guides, a focus group interview, and a questionnaire on the self-perception of students of the competences in tutoring and educational guidance. The results show that students consider that the Master’s program does not include sufficient training with respect to their tutoring and mentoring functions. Finally, the conclusion is reached that the students do not consider themselves prepared to exercise the tutorial function and proposals are suggested to improve this training.

The emergence of instructional technologies has made inevitable changes in educational settings. The flipped classroom that integrates education with technology has grown in popularity in recent years. This study intends to investigate the relationship between secondary school teachers’ and their students’ flipped classroom readiness. Data were collected through a scale for flipped classroom readiness of teachers and their students. There were 745 participants randomly selected from 5th and 8th grade students and 233 teachers from five different secondary schools in Elazig, Turkey. It is concluded that teachers and students are generally ready to apply this model. Additionally, there is a positive relationship between teachers and their students’ technology self-efficacy. Also, the students whose teachers are open-minded have more positive opinions on the flipped classroom. The study hopes to contribute to the increase in the usage of the flipped classroom in educational settings regarding both teachers’ and their students’ readiness. It has pedagogical implications for teachers to be trained and given more knowledge about the model so that the more the teacher is informed with the flipped classroom the more students can benefit.

In India, changes in legislation and policy have increased the number of students with disabilities enrolled in higher education. The purpose of this study was to investigate university teachers’ perceptions towards inclusion of students with disability public and private universities in India. The study examined how age, gender, educational levels, years of teaching experience, and frequency of interaction with a person with a disability influence instructors’ views about people with disabilities and their inclusion at public and private academic institutions. Data was collected through a digital questionnaire from private and public universities in Pune, India. The population of the study comprised of full time University teachers’ (under-graduate, post-graduate and doctoral courses) in Pune. The survey was completed by 309 university teachers. Descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test and ANOVA were used to examine the data. The researchers found no statistically significant relationships between teachers’ perceptions of inclusion in regards to degree level, gender and years of experience. The study did, however, discover a statistically significant relationship between teachers’ perceptions of inclusion and their interaction with students with disabilities. Academic and social outcomes of students with disabilities are significantly enhanced when inclusive approaches are used. Goals for future research are discussed.

The COVID-19 pandemic outbreak has upended the educational system worldwide, possibly with severe long-term consequences as most training institutions were forced to move to an online environment. Given the sudden transition to remote education, the main objective of this contribution is to evaluate the impact of distance education on examination results. We investigated the examination results of tax related subjects collected at the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague during the period from 2014 to 2020. The sample consists of examination results of 120 different classes within 6 years with a total amount of 7268 observations. Firstly, we pivoted the data into the long format and performed binary logistic regression. Our findings suggest that the odds that student successfully passes the exam increases if the student was examined online compared to in-person. Additionally, we used KNN regression which enables us to predict success rate for an upcoming semester. According to our analysis, it is expected that on average 82 students out of 100 will successfully pass the exam. The model was calibrated using cross-validation to choose optimal K.
