Factors Influencing the Implementation of Distance Education

This study aimed to identify, from the view of a Mexican university teachers, the factors of personal, professional, organizational, technological, affecting the implementation of distance education mode in the Training Program Engineering in Food Science and Technology, on the model of decision-innovation Rogers (2003) process that describes the attributes of innovation theory and model of grouping of the barriers to the implementation of distance education Berge, Muilenburg and Hanegham (2002); and Muilenburg and Berge (2001).
The results showed that the factors of personal, professional, organizational and technology, they do represent a barrier to the implementation of distance education. As for the attributes of innovation theory, the results showed that are factors to be taken into account in the implementation of distance education.
