This paper focuses on violence against women, which has taken a growing public visibility in Argentina. Its greatest abomination has a regional story in Ciudad Juarez. There, a fi ction of peace violence is exhibited obscenely (Žižek, 2004). This paper aims to change these questions, contextualizing and asking about the phenomenon related to “long patriarchal history”, based on related studies, in order to understand naturalization and legitimization of violence against women, it explores its symbolic effi cacy. In this way it responds well to think to memory policies for femicide, in the proposal entitled “A third feminist from the south”.

Significant contributions of formal equality between genders thanks to the struggle of organized women have been made in contemporary societies, but gender inequality between men and women is still evident. The review of structural processes consider both the social and intra-psychological life, becomes essential to analyze the causes that explain the survival of the subordination of women, with the dominant mode of production and geopolitical location. This raises the need to review the construction and operation of the myth of romantic love and fetishizes justifying an unequal exchange of affection and care between genders. In the division sex-social of labor, it makes it as a servile and hegemonic practice. Also it is an practice, that ensures –to a greater or lesser extent– the oppression of women, according to the variables such as ethnicity and class. This analysis aims to show the mechanisms of action of this myth and alternatives to deconstruct the theory and practice.

When speaking of gender perspective, the trend has been to understand it as synonym for women’s studies, but currently within these studies man is also included, incorporating other forms of live masculinity for example through parenting, role in which today some men feel discriminated given the trend in judicial practice and/or administrative in case of divorce or separation of parents, of granting custody to the mother preferably without further consideration of their role and natural law is the childcare. Today movements, groups such as feminism, the movement of separated parents their children, pushing join custody as a recognition of equality between the sexes.

This paper focuses on the importance of studies about organizational communication emphasizing on language and discourses within the organizations. This paper aims to understand the dynamic of subjective-symbolic construction, which allows having consensus and establishing differences between individuals. It rescues gender perspective as a category of trans-disciplinary analysis, which shows the symbolic order and power relationship established between men and women expressed in a particular language. It preserves the importance of studying elements of organizational communication, such as rites and rituals, as well as its relationship to the social symbolic order in which the discourse unfolds.

In this paper, a study is conducted using a historical tour based on Gayle Rubin, Monique Wittig and Adrienne Rich texts and the paper Sex in dispute by Judith Butler. This paper has the purpose of making a critical refl ection about heterosexuality as a political category of social control imposed by patriarchy through established discourses from dominant powers. With the construction of a wide variety of sexual identities, it is possible to break the power relationship. It is considered a political act to subvert the established power, which perpetuates and maintains heterosexuality as the only model. Judith Butler invites us to perform a courageous act and true exercise of freedom, transcending the gender.

This research paper aims to study and document the migration process of Colombian women, who were living in Huelva (Spain) at the time of this research. This study is based on two analytical methods. One shows the migration strategies of these women, the other shows the infl uence of their migration towards the current economical crisis in Spain. The methodology chosen for this research was a qualitative one, from the semi-structured interviews of ten female Colombian inhabitants of the city. In their life stories, they spun a migratory web explaining their reasoning for leaving and staying in Spain. They also suggested different strategies to respond to the current period of economic crisis in the host country.

This research paper aims to identify typology and prejudice based on information using a group of Spanish people who live in Almería (Spain), in relation to a group of Colombian immigrants. In order to support this information, sixteen women and fourteen men who responded to Pettigrew & Meertens Scale (1995), and adapted by Rueda et al. (1995) and Rueda & Navas (1996), were used as a sample. The answers, based on gender perspective, showed that more than half of the total men and women are presented in the same proportion as “egalitarian”. The rest of the people, six Spanish males and four Spanish females, presented subtle prejudice towards Colombians. So, in this research project neither women, nor men can be identifi ed as “fanatic”. The results also are controversial in relation with the ones found in other studies.

This paper focuses on the study of the woman model in seventeenth century in the context of the period called colonization time in Latin America, in New Spain (Mexico) specifi cally. In this work, the social construction of femininity is revealed during this period, which has the intention to position the work of one of the most prominent woman of this period, sister Juana Ines de la Cruz. Reviewing the models and the constructions of being female is transcendental if we want to understand the social cultural and political context lived by this author; she is considered as a literate and thinkers from this time when the right to educate was denied to women, and to censor and silence them when they transgressed the public space, mainly male.
