PENERAPAN GERAKAN LITERASI SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN BUDAYA LITERASI SISWA SMP DAN SMA DI BOSOWA SCHOOL MAKASSAR

This study aims to determine the efforts made by Bosowa School Makassar in implementing the School Literacy Movement and the obstacles faced in implementing the School Literacy Movement program. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques namely
observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis of the data used is data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. Test the validity of the data by using method triangulation and source triangulation. The results of the research show that the efforts made by Bosowa School
Makassar in implementing the School Literacy Movement are implementing literacy classes,conducting literacy extracurricular activities, selecting ambassadors to read, publishing student workbooks, and compulsory library visits. Constraints faced in implementing the School Literacy Movement program are consistency and awareness of students about literacy is still low, the
attractiveness of students is more likely to use media technology, lack of discipline, and student
awareness in returning books to the library and the tight time of class hours.
