Growing importance of technical factors in warfare is evident as well as their tendency to dominate. Always keeping pace with the latest achievements of modern armies in highly developed countries with powerful military industries, the Yugoslav Army directed its technical and technological development in accordance with the possibilities of the country itself. The major contribution to the development, procurement, supply and maintenance of YA technical equipment has been made by technical service during decades of its activities. Ranked in a number of organizational structures, on all commanding levels, the administrative and executives bodies of technical service provide a required level of operational readiness, efficiency and reliability of arms and military equipment. With strong support in logistics and human resources, the YA technical service responds readily to the technical and technological challenge on the boundary of two millenia.

Planning and planned work are very important for logistic organizational systems. High - quality planning results in avoiding system unwanted conditions or, if they occur, in reducing them to the maximum extent. Planning prepares the realization of future actions and prevents entropy in system functioning as well as its disorder. It also enables rational expenditure of limited resources. High - quality planning involves application of particular methods, techniques and software. Nowadays there are numerous support tools for solving problems in planning. A prerequisite for choosing appropriate tools for planning support is to provide compressed information in a form suitable for operational decision - making. The purpose of this paper is to present particular methods, techniques and software - in a synthesized form suitable for operational application and fast decision making - which can be urdely applied in solving problems of planning in logistic organizational systems.

This article is intended to present the latest scientific findings about the interception of frequency hoping signals. The probability of intercepting frequency hopping signals by means of modern search receivers or scanning direction finders is calculated on a general basis and with particular attention to multichannel receivers and overlapping search and frequency hopping ranges. The article also deals in detail with the timing of the receiver sequence coinciding with the hopper sequence. For the sake of simplicity, ideal conditions are assumed.
