Difficult subjects in the course of study may have beneficial influence on future life of graduates. Authors of the article are pointing out attention on connections that exist between teaching mathematics and choice of career path for graduates of Management Faculty AT University of Technology in Częstochowa. In first part of the article is briefly presenting an influence of mathematical thinking on growth of various civilizations. Than focus in turned on benefits of mathematical thinking, personal development and positive personality traits of people working with mathematics. Succeeding part of the article is describing the topics covered by the scope of studies on a bachelor's degree in Management Faculty. Educational goals were presented as well as their usage in economic realities. Final chapter consist of different paths of life choices for graduates of university of technology with emphasis of those traits, which was developed during intercourse with mathematic.

Career management enjoys a special attention within every bank. The scope of this paper consists of analyzing the number of bank employees, branches and the bank return on assets, in European countries in the period 2006-2011. In order to perform this analysis, we collected official data from Eurostat, The Romanian National Institute of Statistics and The Central European Bank. The objectives of this research cover an analysis of the three indicators for 27 European countries, including Romania. We compared and analyzed the indicators obtained by Romania with those of other countries. The expected results reside in establishing a relation between bank profitability, number of branches and the number of employees in the banking system. This relation and its intensity will be established by calculating and analyzing the correlation coefficient.

Technological advances, challenges and economic change, in particular changes of the structure of industry and market, demography, values​​, moreover, increasingly shorter economic cycles, resulting in a consequent increase of unemployment - make many people being forced to seek work in the industry other than that in which they are. The free movement of professional roles, inter alia, understood as retraining, may be a way to maintain the continuity of work. What is more the function of the free movement of roles is flexibility, seen as a key competence, a condition for survival in the new economic reality, functioning on the basis of the Knowledge Based Economy (KBE).

Women’s entrepreneurship is an important and interesting phenomenon from both economic and public point of view. It contributes to revive local and regional economic processes. In Poland, similarly as in other European countries, the situation of women on the labour market differs from men’s status of employment. Women’s entrepreneurship and their current situation on the labour market are being analyzed through the prism of differences which appears while comparing them with men. Differences are about the level of education, professional qualifications, payroll irregularities, also regulations and practices applied during the process of employing women. The purpose of this article is an analysis of women’s occupational activity on the base of statistical researches with particular reference to comparative surveys.

This article will present reflections on the importance of professional experience acquired during the work of a volunteer in search of jobs in sports and recreational organisations. The study that has been carried out with the method of a diagnostic survey using the technique of a survey form, will be to indicate whether this kind of experience is taken into account during recruitment and employee assessment by the management staff of entities operating in the field of sport and recreation. The hypothesis of the article assumes that people with experience acquired while working as a volunteer are assessed better during the recruitment process, and that this experience translates into better results of their work.

This paper refers to the problem of teaching students of management abstract thinking skills and tools that support this matter. A research carried out on a group of students, aimed at evaluating respondents attitude towards abstract perception of the reality, their professional career visions and willingness towards self-development. Additionally, it presented the possible application of these competences. It was showed that respondents have ambitious career plans and are ready to improve their skills in the discussed subject. From the results of the research it was also argued that the respondents’ positive attitude towards abstract thinking competence has increased.

This paper presents the results of a personal research study on personal growth and key competences indispensable for professional career development in a knowledge-based society. The topic of the article was taken to get the answer if personal development has an influence on professional development in knowledge-based society. The best form of personal development and key competence were identified needed developing career in knowledge-based society. Benefits results from development knowledge-based society have been tested in aid of developing professional development and factors blocking an employee and his career in knowledge-based society. In this article a new non-linear conception of work career and an approach to it by a new generation WLB (Work-Life-Balance).

The article discusses the subject matter of the functioning of the Centre of Social Integration (Polish abbreviation: CIS), presenting the objectives of this institution, as well as the functioning of the Centre in practice, based on the example of the City of Czestochowa. The role of the CIS, which can be met as a tool of professional activation of the group of the permanently unemployed residents, is being analysed. The article widely refers to the cooperation between the Municipality of Czestochowa and the Department of Housing “TBS” Ltd. as well as its effect on the improvement in the housing outlook of socially excluded people, with simultaneous professional reintegration of this group of people.

Higher education adjustment to local labor market needs enables to maximize the potential of human capital for the development of an economy based on the knowledge and the innovation and improve the quality of social life. The aim of this paper is to present main instruments of higher education adjustment to the needs of local labor market in Poland. The author will review selected instruments and measures implemented by major national organizations participating in this process, i.e. national authorities, local authorities, labor offices, entrepreneurs. For the purpose of this publication, the author also drew up the diagram showing main instruments of higher education adjustment to the needs of employers carried out by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MNiSW).

Controlling occupational injuries and illnesses and related costs is a top priority in most companies. Selecting a qualified professional to participate in the workplace safety and health activities can be a vital step in this process, allowing the development of professional careers in this field. The present paper aims at identifying the requirements and skills that Romanian education and training system should develop for Occupational Safety and Health consultants, in order to formulate a training methodology draft as a basis for the establishment of a unique occupational standard, which will facilitate access to an European OSH professional career. Our goal is to launch a meaningful debate and reflection, to involve all the stakeholders in integrating the occupational health and safety topic in the university curricula and practice.

The quality of provided educational service , its perception by students as well as employers in the market is an important element in the positioning of future employee in the labour market . We can conclude that the completion of the university with an established reputation can help in a graduate career . There is therefore a necessity , not only statutory but also market , to research quality and integrity of provided educational services . The article presents research results of quality of provided services based on the level of satisfaction of students majoring in Management and Production Engineering at the Faculty of Management of the Czestochowa University of Technology. The study will be expanded in the future on the results of perception of quality of educational services from the perspective of employers who employ students of analyzed university.

The purpose of this article is to bring the issues of application of flexible forms of employment by employers. Approximate there are pros and cons now more often applicable to agreements and contracts. Employers willing to employ workers, even with no experience, however, are increasingly faced with the problems posed by employed. Long the recruitment process is also not supportive in the context of the reduction of unemployment. The fact wrong perceptions of alternative forms of employment by seeking work opportunities in the context of the employer, employee and check the most appropriate choice for you. The first guarantee work directly after graduation, which will last until his retirement, is impossible. The modern market economy is geared to constant changes, which require flexibility also in forms of employment.

Managing a modern enterprise demands good and professional managers, hence nowadays a lot of attention is paid to managers’ qualifications. The issue of qualifications in a municipal partnership is a leading factor in a dynamically changing surrounding. The objective of the article is to present a catalogue of manager’s qualifications showing general qualifications and specific qualifications resulting from a specific roles which the managers of municipal partnerships play. In the article there is presented both factual and postulated catalogue of company manager’s qualifications in the light of own researches led on 12 municipal partnerships. Based on them, it was shown that the essence of the managers of municipal companies lies in their professional, political and ethical qualifications and it answers the political, social and economic challenges of the partnership’s surrounding.

The paper is devoted to the problem of the learning organisations and durability of human capital projects funded by the European Union. It reviews the effects staff training brings to trained employees themselves, the organisation and the community and compares the theoretic concepts with results of the empirical study concerning a selected project at a private-owned higher-education institution. The study was based on self-assessment by the trained employees and verification of data at the institution itself. The authors conclude that the increased skills and new knowledge are a gain for the individuals and society, while the organisation gains not only the skills, but indirectly – good practices and experience above all. The study shows also that direct results for the organisation depend strictly on staff fluctuation but even staff fluctuation does not impair the positive effects of being a learning organisation.
