The present study intended to find out the level of Social Intelligence and Achievement in Science among Higher Secondary School Students. This study belongs to Survey Method. The size of the sample in the study was 300 Higher Secondary School Students who were selected through Random Sampling Technique. The investigators had used Social Intelligence Scale developed by Baskaran. P and Anandan. K (2011) and Achievement Test in Science (ATS) developed by the Investigators. The Statistical techniques used in this study were Mean, Standard deviation, t’ test and Correlation to analyse the data. It was inferred that there is significant relationship between Social Intelligence and Achievement in science among selected High School Students.

This study analysis the multifaceted influence CSR on employee organizational commitment and organizational performance. The important matter for corporate sustainable growth especially era of global recession. Researchers are advising corporations to consider amount spent on CSR as investment than expenses. This study focused on employees perceptions towards CSR. Companies worried about high employee turnover, employee absenteeism and employee low motivation towards work and organization. These findings are very useful for decision makers and researchers. The organization can enhance their employee organizational commitment through involving themselves in social activities for instance identifying needs of the community and fulfilling them, working for better environment, involving in employee welfare, producing quality products for customers and complying with government rules and regulations and working within legal ambiance. All these activities significantly and positively influences employee commitment with organization and improve organizational performance .This study provides important information to decision makers involved designing employee related policies for uplifting moral and motivate them to remain loyal committed with their organization and work hard for uplifting of organization.

Service Quality of the banks referred as an obligation of all banks to fulfill the objectives and needs of the customers. The present need of banks is to have good relationship with customers by providing quality services to retain the existing and generate or acquire new customers. Thus, this study attempts to study the service quality in the banking sector in the present scenario. The scope of this study is to identify the service quality of public and private banks in Tirunelveli district. This research is based on primary data and secondary data. This study only focuses on the dimensions of service quality i.e. reliability, assurance, tangibility, empathy and responsiveness. The primary data was collected from 300 customers of banks located in Tirunelveli district. The analysis was carried out with the responses of the customers of the public sector banks and private sector banks by adopting stratified random sampling through questionnaire and presented in the form of tabulation. This study brought to light the fact that the customers were very much satisfied on the service quality of the banks in the region but at the same time they expect a lot more from the banks in the present scenario of technological developments in banks.

Today, one million people are drinking unhealthy water in the world. Each year 5 million people worldwide die due to the diseases caused by unhealthy drinking water. Unhealthy water creates a great risk, especially for children because of their undeveloped immune system (G8 Action Plan Decisions, 2003)1 . Indeed, the World Health Organization estimates that 4.1 million children die from diarrhea, which can be inhibited by healthy water (WHO, 2010)2 . In developed countries, it is observed that water is not only a basic consumption food, but also a lifestyle product. As mentioned in the Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, packaged water consumption reflects the choices related to the lifestyle as well as being a basic need at the bottom of the pyramid (Sipos, et al., 2007)3 . Water is increasingly becoming an important economic resource, and its public distribution is being privatized in many countries (e.g., France, England, Brazil, Australia, Bolivia and, recently proposed in Italy), opening new market opportunities for private investors. The consumption of bottled mineral water is significantly increasing worldwide and has become an important factor both for economic and health issues (King, 2008)4 . Natural mineral water means microbiologically wholesome water, originating in an underground water table or deposit and emerging from a spring tapped at one or more natural or bore exits. This type of water cannot be sterilized, pasteurized or otherwise treated to remove or destroy microorganisms (European Commission, 2009)5 . Hence, the researcher has made an attempt to find out the existing awareness and attitudes of consumers towards using packaged drinking water in Thoothukudi District.

Prospective Teacher Educators (M.Ed scholars) using e-learning is more crucial than acquiring a large number of computers. Prospective teacher educators have to be trained to facilitate the learning process, make the process real, achievable, challenging, yet exciting and not intimidating. Everything need not be written on the blackboard to be considered as taught. Prospective teacher educators think that the computer is used only to make the content look attractive. They need to know that in 21st century, information is not difficult access, instead organizing, sharing, and collaborating become essential skills. The present generation is a multimedia generation. They are numbed by too much of information and easy access to that information. The information that is given in the classroom is redundant and presented in boring manner. They show so much of the present and the past far and wide that one seems to learn unknowingly. So a study is intended to study about the level of awareness of e-learning among prospective teacher educators. The investigator selected normative methodology and survey technique for the present study based on the problem selected. For that a sample of 306 number of prospective teacher educators was selected for the present study. Descriptive and inferential techniques were used for the present study. It was found that the level of awareness of e-learning of prospective teacher educators was average. Independent variables like gender, nature of subject has significant influence on the awareness of prospective teacher educators. Other independent variables like medium of instruction, educational qualification, marital status, location and type of family has least significant influence over the awareness of e-learning among prospective teacher educators. So it is necessary to revamp the existing policies to improve e-learning among the prospective teacher educators during their pre-service training programme.
