Regularities of response in plant species composition and abundance to climatic
factors, based upon the 15-year vegetation research, NASA SSE remote sensing dataset, and correlation analysis are analyzed for secondary vegetation of upland meadows
and dry grasslands of Northern and North-Western European Russia. The main laws of plant cover dependence upon summer heat supply, climate oceanicity/continentality, and atmospheric relative humidity are discussed together with the differences in species climatic response in different meadow types as well as in upland meadows compared to pine / spruce forests which represent the primary vegetation of the meadow sites.
The data on the ecology of 512 taxons 94 genera of Bacillariophyta are provided. In drawing up the ecological and biological characteristics of species one used literature data, unpublished archival materials of the Department of Botany and Plant Ecology of Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin, and the original data on the results of the author's many years of algaefloristical research of
heterogeneous water bodies.
Inventory of the Frangensko Plateau flora is provided for the first time. The study presents information on: taxonomic structure; phytogeographyc structure; endemic species; relict species; the distribution of species by biological type and by life form; medicinal plants; species with conservation status. Invasive species on the plateau are described for the first time. For the first time in the Northeastern floristic region are indicatedPapaver rumelicum Velen. andFraxinus pallisiae Wilmott.
The results of the structural analysis of the alien fraction of Starobelsk grass-meadow steppe flora (Ukraine) are given. The study of flora fraction contains 377 species of vascular plants from 237 genera and 61 families, including kenophytes
267 species, and arheophytes – 110. An annotated list of species is presented.
There are given data on the species composition of vascular plants rocky steppe with Oxytropis baschkiriensis Knjaz. near the village Malaya Kandrat' (Karsunsky District of the Ulyanovsk region). Registered 250 species, 9 listed in the regional Red Data Book.
As a result of field research in the Basegi Nature Reserve in the Middle Urals (Perm Territory, Russia) in 2014 and revision of herbarium specimens of previous years, 5 vascular plant and 3 moss species new for the reserve flora are checked. Several new localities of 5 vascular and 5 moss species rare in the reserve area are also listed. The taxonomic composition of 12 vascular species aggregates, given sensu lato in the reserve flora, is also discussed. 11 species are excluded from the list of vascular flora.
Paper presents data on the genus Rosa L. in the Moksha river basin. Genus Rosa L. is taxonomically difficult group of plants. Research was carried out in period 2009–2015 years in the Moksha river basin. As a result, 19 species from 4 sections of genusRosa were revealed. Identification key for these species was composed. Among all roses revealed, four species are new for the Ryazan region flora: Rosa balsamica Bess., R. lupulina Dubovik,R. subcanina (Christ) Vuk.,R. caesia Sm. Basic migration ways and dispersal centers of roses were identified. The most preferable habitats for rose species in the Moksha river basin were revealed. Roses are associated predominantly with open habitats. The scheme for alleged dispersal of species of section Caninae in the Moksha river basin is presented. There are 3 rare rose species in the Moksha river basin:Rosa rubiginosa,R. villosa,R. lupulina.
This paper presents the validation of seven syntaxa – two alliances (Salvion tesquicolae, Agropyrion pectinati ) and five associations (Lavatero thuringiacae–Poetum pratensis, Tragopogono podolici–Centauretum apiculatae, Salviо–Festucetum valesiacae, Taraxaco serotini–Tragopogenetum dubii, Ornithogalo fischerani–Stipetum lessingianae ). their short characteristic is given and diagnostic types are specified. The characteristics characteristics and lists of diagnostic species of syntaxa are given.
